Imogene Hotel

I loved the convenient parking and the ourdoor area just outside the door, wouldve liked to use the Sauna, why does it close in May?

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was great besides the parking situation. There is free parking but it’s free parking for anyone. There wasn’t any designated spots for guests. We got lucky the first day with parking but not so much the second day. We had to park quite a ways away.

The sauna was wonderful! Management was way to communicate with vis text. Room was very nice and Main Street is walkable with a lot of dining options. Great stay!

Hotel room was nice and in a great location. No elevator that I saw so be aware that it’s a climb up to the room.

A unique property for us. A small local motel in town was very convenient to get around. Our room was upstairs above the Thai restaurant and once they closed for the evening it was quiet. The parking was a bit of a pain. You can't park next to the building. It isn't clear where on the road you can park overnight. The roof top restaurant was not open this time of year which was good for us. I can imagine you would hear it when it is open. The outside stairs up to the room would be difficult for our special-needs son to navigate but he wasn't with us this trip. Just something to be aware of if that is a need. The town in general did not have much open the last weekend of December. That was disappointing but didn't change our plans.

Everything was wonderful, the manager was so accommodating. Parking was outstanding and we enjoyed our stay the reason for the delay is a the reason for the delay is a shortage of traffic control staffing in Houston so they have a space out arriving traffic immensely.

Nice hotel room with a beautiful, large bathroom. The location was fantastic and parking was right outside our door. We loved the rooftop bar!!

Positives-Property is located right in the middle of Ouray and less then hour from Telluride. We stayed in the Memphis room. Clean, nice decor, quiet, bed was comfortable and easy to access with personal lock code to room. Also close to all the local restaurants & shops in town. Areas can improve upon woth this room. TV - remote didn’t work. Could only turn on TV that’s it as was remote was broken so couldn’t change channels or change to try and use Netflix or You TubeTV. Shower was open so water gets everywhere on tile and gets little chilly being it’s not enclosed. Rooftop bar was closed when we got there on a Friday night at 8:30! We were really bummed about that as that’s one of the main attractions of this hotel and we were really looking forward to having a cocktail enjoying the views and weather after a long day of driving!

No code to get into room when I arrived. I had to research to find a number and call. There was no front desk. once in the wroom was dirty and smelled like sewage. the shower has no walls and soaks the bathroom floor entirely making it a hazard. There is no security to rooms with anyone from the street accessing the roof top bar.

Check in was 3pm. Arrived at 3pm to find no one available to tell me wifi code. Had a panic as my phone does not work without wifi. A woman staying in hotel helped me and texted a message - a Carrie then called to say she hadn't had time to email (poor show) me and they can't text international numbers. So - with no wifi access how would I get codes? People from overseas should be contacted at least 2 days before. I then had to help 2 chaps the nite after with the same problem as I'd had I would not stay at a hotel again with no reception Room small but nice. View good. Floor sticky - no housekeeping received - bins full. Hated shower - far too high - and I'm 5 ft 8. No coffees machine / fridge. They have a coffee room - but no coffee pods - unless you take decaf. And water finished ... Washed hair to go out for nice meal - hairdryer didn't work. Messaged via expedia appl - no reply - had to go out with wet/frizzy hair. Finally replied but never read it No sleep - a dog nearby barked constantly - day & nite. Left at 4.30 am this morning as we couldn't sleep Parking ok & bar nice - but nothing to do with hotel Stairs up - 24 - but ok - unless case heavy Would I stay here again - NO - not for what I payed

This is a room - our AC did not operate and took pages to explain in the welcome binder. It had a good view but the windows were dirty. I would not stay here again. Stayed at a Hampton the night before and was better at half the price!

High winds caused rooftop horrible noise throughout the night and caused a sleepless night. Best view ever in a room and extremely clean. Amazing walk ability to whole Main Street. Staff very friendly and responses were quick.

The room was so cute and clean! Barb was fantastic and super attentive. We loved that it had a little coffee/tea bar. Also the location was fantastic we didn’t drive at all once we got there. Walked to restaurants, hot springs and hiking trails. Loved the roof top bar as well. It will be a go to for us when we visit Ouray.

Lovely comfortable room, very clean, all amenities.

Left much to be desired. Did not seem properly cleaned. Could hear someone's sensitive banking info on a phone call as I arrived. Was woken up multiple times over my stay by a blaring TV and 30 mins of a drunk woman slamming her door across the hall. I would stay at one of the nicer properties of honestly anywhere else If I were you!

Nice bottom floor room, and an area to sit outside. Room clean, smaller than pictures, but accommodating. Beautiful setting with mountains, close to shops and eating. Only drawback restaurant above and noise until 10 pm. Not an issue, unless you’re an early to bed person. We left a suggestion with staff that the bed needs to. be replaced. Overall, nice stay in a beautiful setting.

Overall a good experience. It's a small boutique-type hotel in an old building with newly remodeled rooms that were quite elegant. There is no staff on site, self check-in process that worked fine. Many stairs and a couple of doors to get to room. If you've got a lot of gear, beware that it's not a simple entrance or parking. Brickhouse 737 restaurant across the street is phenomenal. My room was on the main street, so there's a bit of noise and traffic until town quiets down. I'd stay again.

where to start.. went here for my birthday I don’t know why. first off the room was so tiny and stuffy, the fan and thermostat did nothing and did not work, regardless of the ‘instructions’

No front desk. No where to talk with someone in person. WiFi wasn’t working. Tv only had internet options and kept buffering when it was working. No assigned/designated parking. Sent several messages and tried calling to ask about trailer parking options and never got a response. I tried calling and went straight to voice mail. I left a couple messages at different times and days and no one returned my call.

Outstanding views. Clean and fresh design. Only drawback was the bathroom, the “cool” design doesn’t afford much privacy and the shower is small and the shower head was far too high to reach for any kind of adjustment (great for the above average tall).

The room was amazing and the views incredible. My wife was extremely charmed by everything in the room and the bed was super comfortable. The location was right in the middle of town where you want to be. Very quiet after the rooftop bar closed down at 9:00 each night.

This is a lovely little space, connected to the Namesake Restaurant. The instructions to get into the room were detailed and easy to follow. The room had beautiful views!! The renovated, old building is beautiful also. The climate control was a bit fickle, and it’s easy to hear other patrons, but the coffee bar was a nice amenity. Overall, a beautiful site, and the interactions with staff (though minimal) were polite and efficient. Would stay again!

Went to Ouray for the Wine Festival at the last moment. Most rooms were very pricey, but the Imogene was very reasonable, centrally located and had great reviews. The room did not disappoint, very comfortable, efficient, clean and had a large bathroom. Management was very responsive and provided our entry codes in a very timely manner. Near restaurants and shopping. Only complaint, could hear the plumbing of adjacent rooms, but was a minimal annoyance. Love the place and will be back.

This hotel was so cute! Check-in/Check-out was super easy and hotel was very communicative via text. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a room that was in an add-on to the historic building and loved that they left the original rock wall as part of the add-on.

We stayed in the Elizabeth room which was very cozy with a great view. Staff is super accommodating and friendly. We will be back!

Amazing location, wonderful bar on the roof that allowed you to soak up the view. Nice comfortable bedroom. Only negative is there is no face to face contact (maybe that is a generational thing which is more welcoming). The hair dryer in our room was broken and it was difficult to contact anyone for a replacement.

What a gem in this quaint town. We were able to park right next to our room. We had many dining options. The decor was well designed and the amenities were great. It was winter, so the upstairs bar and roof were closed, but it looked fun. This city sleeps in in late March, so you should also. We were able to walk everywhere for food and drinks. The local grocery store is also up the street. The staff were great at communicating, and we met one of the managers who made sure we found everything in order.

Right on Main Street with easy access, this was a great spot to overnight in Ouray! Lots of dining options within walking distance. Cute room (a little truck noise overnight however), nicely appointed. We'd stay again!

I wouldn’t stay here again. Overall I’d say this is a dishonest place. There was no heat in the room due to heat/AC being controlled by management outside the room, but a small, very loud portable space heater was available. There was no mention of this beforehand. The sauna and rooftop bar are only available certain times of year/week, which I didn’t realize from the website description. Also the welcome packet included two “gift cards” to the adjoining Thai restaurant that turned out to not actually have any value on them but did give a 10% discount. I could not reach anyone by phone or text. Sheets were soft and clean, the shower was hot, and check-in/out was easy. Definitely not worth the price overall

I didn’t see the other reviews until after I booked this property, and it was nice to see some of the nit-picky issues people had were addressed- I saw people complain about not having a mini fridge in the room and not having a luggage stand, but they had both of those things in our room. So it’s nice that they’re looking at the reviews and addressing issues. I would probably not return here for two reasons- first, the bed is SUPER hard. It was just not comfortable at all, and I ended up barely sleeping both nights. If you like a firm mattress though, this would be perfect for you, just not mine and my husband’s ideal situation. The other thing that was really bugging me was that when I woke up in the middle of the night due to the uncomfortable mattress, I realized there was something on the ceiling directly above the head of the bed that flashed a bright green light every few seconds all night long. I’m not sure what it is because the smoke alarm was in the corner of the room, but having something flashing right over your face all night is quite annoying. One other thing that was kind of a bummer- there is no rhyme or reason to the schedule for the roof top bar. We went Friday evening and enjoying chilling on the roof by the fire pit, and were looking forward to doing the same after our hike on Saturday. When we went Friday they told us they’d be shutting down around 7-8. Saturday we went up just after 6pm, and they were already shut down for the night.

We enjoyed our stay at the Imogene Hotel. It was within walking distance to everything in town. Thai Chili on the rooftop was a great dining option when you don't want to leave the hotel.

This was a really nice room. We were only there for a night but if you are looking for a hotel style property this is a really unique place to stay, rooftop bar, inside bar, fireplaces, etc. Make sure you pull the blinds when you get in otherwise the pizza place has direct view of you in the Elizabeth on the one side. The other side has high windows that you can leave open to see the gorgeous views of the mountains. 10/10 would stay there again.

Loved the location. The bar located above the rooms was a perfect place to watch the sunset.
