We enjoyed our stay, staff were so helpful. We did have concerns about parking, but it turned out ok. Hopefully in the future we will be back again, and we would'nt hesitate to recommend it.

Keys had to be collected from the Canny Man pub next door, very welcoming and invited us back after getting settled in our room for a complimentary drink. The Chandelier Room (with modern Chandelier) had a very large bathroom, possibly suitable for wheelchair though access at the front is stairs (maybe another entrance?). Breakfast was superb, Scottish, Continental and Vegetarian options. Warm friendly atmosphere with quirky decor covering the time periods of the pub.

Brilliant establishment and the staff make this place extra special! Can highly recommend staying here and enjoying the pub and food in the restaurant. A special thank you to Charlene who looks after the rooms and Nikki one of the chefs. Here for 3 nights and would stay longer but fully booked!

The Canny Man was the best part. Excellent bar with amazing staff. Room was so small but fine. Shower was excellent. Location is far to town but the walk is lovely and in a great neighbourhood.

Excellent rooms with a great pub and restaurant downstairs. This is the second time I have stayed here and my third visit will be next week. So handy for local shopping in Morningside and Bruntsfield and on good bus routes for the rest of Edinburgh

We stayed here for our last night before flying back to Canada. It is a cute boutique hotel, but is seeing some wear and tear. The attached pub is fantastic and has a great authentic neighborhood feel. The staff are excellent.

Absolutely beautiful. Our room was really lovely, exceptionally clean and so comfy. Decor was tasteful. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great wee find, and will definitely book here next time we are staying in Edinburgh

Very friendly welcome on arrival and room was super…comfortable, spacious, clean and huge! We had the Watson suite. Great base for getting in and out of Edinburgh by bus or taxi, and lots of cafes and small shops if you want to stay local. Canny Mans is a fabulous pub…very popular, but no issue for us with noise at night either. Will happily stay again.

Had a lovely 1 night stay here. Neil was very welcoming and the complementary drinks on arrival were a nice touch. The room was very clean and stylishly decorated. The facilities were excellent and of a high standard. The only negative thing I would say is there is no option for breakfast which is a shame, ecpecially as the price was on the high side. Even if there are no facilities for a cooked option a continental breakfast would have been most welcome.

Beautiful spacious room. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, I ended up in the emergency department of the hospital as I had a gallbladder attack. Spent most of the night in a hospital bed. Got back to the hotel about 4:30am and managed to get some sleep in the super comfy bed. Would love to return to be able to appreciate the stay more. Highly recommended.

No air con,terrible mattress,1 roll of toilet paper ...as paying guests we couldnt get a drink in the bar after 22.00hrs ...for the price we paid i would have expected slippers & bath robes,& mini fridge...no choice at breakfast for sweetener for coffee..very disappointed as was really looking for a boutique stay..bathroom gorgous on the upside

Best place we stayed while traveling for three weeks in Scotland. Best pub too! Loved the stay. My wife and I had a great time.

Clean and beautiful rooms in great neighborhood with easy access to tourist sites. Lots of variety in dining within walking distance. Dinner at The Canny Man's was a highlight!

Keys had to be collected from the Canny Man pub next door, very welcoming and invited us back after getting settled in our room for a complimentary drink. The Chandelier Room (with modern Chandelier) had a very large bathroom, possibly suitable for wheelchair though access at the front is stairs (maybe another entrance?). Breakfast was superb, Scottish, Continental and Vegetarian options. Warm friendly atmosphere with quirky decor covering the time periods of the pub.

Great place to stay. Recommend mentioning that if guests wish to have evening meal in the Canny Man pub it is advisable to book in advance. We didn't but although we eventually got a table, had to be squeezed in between existing tables after a 10 minute uncertain wait.

Brilliant establishment and the staff make this place extra special! Can highly recommend staying here and enjoying the pub and food in the restaurant. A special thank you to Charlene who looks after the rooms and Nikki one of the chefs. Here for 3 nights and would stay longer but fully booked!

Had a lovely 1 night stay here. Neil was very welcoming and the complementary drinks on arrival were a nice touch. The room was very clean and stylishly decorated. The facilities were excellent and of a high standard. The only negative thing I would say is there is no option for breakfast which is a shame, ecpecially as the price was on the high side. Even if there are no facilities for a cooked option a continental breakfast would have been most welcome.

We stayed here for our last night before flying back to Canada. It is a cute boutique hotel, but is seeing some wear and tear. The attached pub is fantastic and has a great authentic neighborhood feel. The staff are excellent.

Very nice stay! Would definitely go back. Not very close to a scotrail or tram. Will have to walk 2 miles or catch Uber to get to one. Morningside is a really nice area with coffee shops and stores for everyday shopping. The Canny Man was awesome too.

Vorweg: Es ist kein Hotel, auch kein B&B. Es ist ein Zimmer in einem Haus, das von Leuten aus dem Pub Canny Man's mitbetreut wird. Es gibt dort kein Personal. Das Haus liegt ruhig im Viertel Morningside, ist aber dadurch doch recht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt (30 - 40 Minuten zu Fuß). Zimmer und Bad sind groß genug, zeigen aber sehr starke Abnutzung. Die Matratze ist durchgelegen, die Waschbeckenarmatur im Bad ist kaputt. Besonders abstoßend war, dass sämtliche Dusch- und Handtücher fleckig und vom x-fachen Waschen voller loser Fäden waren. Die jeweils ausgetauschten Tücher sahen am nächsten Tag immer genauso aus. Auch die Bettwäsche war zwar gewaschen, die Polsterbezüge von jahrelanger Verwendung aber schon gelb. Canny Man's ist ein uriges Pub mit schönem Ambiente und großer Auswahl an Whisky, kompensiert aber die Nachteile bei weitem nicht. Preis-Leistung ist echt schlimm, EUR 350,00 pro Nacht (ohne Frühstück) ist durch nichts zu rechtfertigen.

Boutique hotel situé à deux pas d’un arrêt de bus. Le centre historique est à 35 minutes à pied environ. La chambre est certes petite mais très bien arrangée. La Nespresso fut très appréciée ! Le personnel est d’une grande amabilité. Je recommande vivement !
