A wonderful hotel to stay within the Black Forest with free parking for hotel guests. The scenery around the area is great to view and the train passes by on the Ravenna Bridge. There are some stores within the hotel complex selling souvenirs, cuckoo clocks and glass arts. A giant cuckoo clock also plays during the day.

Ich war sehr irritiert, als wir unser Zimmer bezogen. Das Zimmer wirkte klein, muffelig und nicht gemütlich, obwohl es schon das Comfortzimmer war. Für 150 € pro Nacht erwarte ich etwas anderes! Im Biergarten gab es eine übersichtliche Auswahl in der Selbstbedienung mit Preisen eines Firstclassservice. Ziemlich frech. Im Restaurant haben wir dann nicht mehr gegessen, bei Preisen wie z.B. 43 € für ein Rumpsteak ist uns der Appetit vergangen. Das Hotel ist auf Durchgangsverkehr ausgerichtet und nutzt seine "Alleinstellung" in der Umgebung mit saftigen Preisen. Man ist sehr abgelegen, muss mit dem Auto eine Weile fahren, um ein anderes Restaurant zu finden. Die Wanderer, die durch die Ravennaschlucht dort ankommen, müssen wohl oder übel die saftigen Preise zahlen, wenn sie etwas zu Trinken oder Essen bekommen wollen. Das Frühstück im Hotel war gut, alles was man braucht, viel saisonal. Allerdings war der Frühstücksraum knackevoll, man musste auf die Terrasse ausweichen, da saß man dann etwas kühl und quasi direkt neben der Autoschnellstraße, aber da hatte ich dieses Hotel schon für mich abgehakt. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in keinster Weise gerechtwertigt, wir kommen nicht wieder. Wir haben dann die nächsten 2 Nächte/ Tage in einem anderen Hotel verbracht, gleicher Preis, auch 4* und wurden mit einem super Ambiente, Service und Essen belohnt.

This was such a great stay for my family. The hotel staff was amazing. They were helpful, kind, and efficient. The breakfast was incredible! Room was plenty large enough for my family of 4. It was very clean too. There was so much to do on the property. Our first night we sat out front in the biergarten and enjoyed burgers and beers. Sitting out on our balcony enjoying my morning coffee watching a train roll across the huge bridge behind the property was an amazing way to start my day. My kids loved hiking to the waterfall on the trail just behind the hotel. There are several trails to hike there. There are two really cool shops on the property and some other neat things that you’ll just have to discover for yourself. There are also two great towns about 30-45 minutes drive from Hofgut Sternen, Freiburg and Triberg. I’m almost sad that our trip to Germany started with this hotel as I’m afraid that the others we have booked might not live up to the experience we had here. Thank you Hofgut Sternen for getting our Germany vacation off to an amazing start.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in guter Lage. Das Zimmer hätte etwas sauberer sein können (Haare in der Lücke zwischen Bett und Wand). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, zum Teil aber etwas unkoordiniert (angeschriebene Öffnungszeiten stimmen nicht mit tatsächlichen überein, telefonische Reservierung existierte doch nicht,...) Insgesamt aber ein schöner Aufenthalt in einem angenehmen Hotel.

Toller Kurzurlaub in den Schwarzwald mit Besuch des Weihnachtsmarktes in der Ravennaschlucht. Einchecken wie gewohnt schnell und unkompliziert, saubere Zimmer, netter Service, alles rundum perfekt!! Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: keinerlei Anbindung an ÖPNV, keine Busverbindungen nach Hinterzarten, etc., man muß immer selbst mit dem Auto fahren.

Very nice hotel in the middle of the Black Forest. Breakfast spread was great and the room was very spacious but the bathroom was rather small. It was generally quite clean but I did spot a large cobweb in the corridor and there were some towels left behind by previous occupants behind the door. We stayed for 5 nights, 2 adults and 2 children. We asked the room to be cleaned about halfway and it didn’t get done. I complained to the receptionist who didn’t seem to concerned and didn’t even apologise. We did get some fresh towels at least. The breakfast spread was very good. We didn’t use the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Menu had a steak for 40 euros and 30 euros for a schnitzel which seemed a lot. There’s a beer garden opposite and we paid 20 euros for 3 cornettos and a coffee. You need a car to get around for day trips etc. there’s a couple of nice hikes right around there though.

Een grote kamer beloofd met kingsize bed, een kamer met een deuropening hoogte van 170cm kop stoten vele malen, schuine betimmering gewoon MOEILIJK IN EN UIT BED KOMEN ik ben bijna 70. 5 minuten wachten voor je een tafel gewezen werd. En dat vraagd 170 euro per nacht!!!

Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer, ein großes Zimmer mit schönem Bett. Leider ist das Zimmer sehr dunkel und durch den Vorsprung vom Dach kann man nur nach unten schauen. Den Himmel und die schöne Landschaft sieht man nicht. Das ganze Ensemble von Häusern und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist extrem touristisch, so auch die Gastronomie. Das muss einem klar sein. Um in der großartigen Schlucht zu laufen war es für eine Nacht vollkommen ok.

This was such a great stay for my family. The hotel staff was amazing. They were helpful, kind, and efficient. The breakfast was incredible! Room was plenty large enough for my family of 4. It was very clean too. There was so much to do on the property. Our first night we sat out front in the biergarten and enjoyed burgers and beers. Sitting out on our balcony enjoying my morning coffee watching a train roll across the huge bridge behind the property was an amazing way to start my day. My kids loved hiking to the waterfall on the trail just behind the hotel. There are several trails to hike there. There are two really cool shops on the property and some other neat things that you’ll just have to discover for yourself. There are also two great towns about 30-45 minutes drive from Hofgut Sternen, Freiburg and Triberg. I’m almost sad that our trip to Germany started with this hotel as I’m afraid that the others we have booked might not live up to the experience we had here. Thank you Hofgut Sternen for getting our Germany vacation off to an amazing start.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in guter Lage. Das Zimmer hätte etwas sauberer sein können (Haare in der Lücke zwischen Bett und Wand). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, zum Teil aber etwas unkoordiniert (angeschriebene Öffnungszeiten stimmen nicht mit tatsächlichen überein, telefonische Reservierung existierte doch nicht,...) Insgesamt aber ein schöner Aufenthalt in einem angenehmen Hotel.

Very nice hotel in the middle of the Black Forest. Breakfast spread was great and the room was very spacious but the bathroom was rather small. It was generally quite clean but I did spot a large cobweb in the corridor and there were some towels left behind by previous occupants behind the door. We stayed for 5 nights, 2 adults and 2 children. We asked the room to be cleaned about halfway and it didn’t get done. I complained to the receptionist who didn’t seem to concerned and didn’t even apologise. We did get some fresh towels at least. The breakfast spread was very good. We didn’t use the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Menu had a steak for 40 euros and 30 euros for a schnitzel which seemed a lot. There’s a beer garden opposite and we paid 20 euros for 3 cornettos and a coffee. You need a car to get around for day trips etc. there’s a couple of nice hikes right around there though.

A wonderful hotel to stay within the Black Forest with free parking for hotel guests. The scenery around the area is great to view and the train passes by on the Ravenna Bridge. There are some stores within the hotel complex selling souvenirs, cuckoo clocks and glass arts. A giant cuckoo clock also plays during the day.

Le cadre et l'hôtel sont plutôt agréable, un peu isolé car il faut systématiquement prendre sa voiture, ce qui en fait un bon hôtel pour transiter lors d'un road-trip mais pas pour y séjourner plusieurs nuits. Toller Kurzurlaub in den Schwarzwald mit Besuch des Weihnachtsmarktes in der Ravennaschlucht. Einchecken wie gewohnt schnell und unkompliziert, saubere Zimmer, netter Service, alles rundum perfekt!! Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: keinerlei Anbindung an ÖPNV, keine Busverbindungen nach Hinterzarten, etc., man muß immer selbst mit dem Auto fahren.
