Nice enough place, would have booked somewhere else had I know the elevator was broken, after walking around all day you had to hike 3 flights of stairs to reach the 2nd floor. Not something I want to do on vacation. The room was pretty nice, tight quarters, and the lock for the door was interesting. Note that you are done in the temple bar area so lots rowdy drunk people yelling through the street, we had to leave our windows cracked open as it was pretty hot in the room without having the heat on.

The lift was broken and we were on the 4th floor. I had my 90 year old Mother in law with us with no way of getting her up to the room. The staff was not able to give us another room due to the hotel being fully booked. My daughter and son in law also had a room booked. Luckily they were only on the 2nd floor. If it wasn't for that, I don't know what we would have been able to do at that point.

If you want a place to just sleep, with limited facilities but in Temple Bar area, this may suffice. The elevator/lift did not work, and I understand has not worked for several months. The room was pretty small with limited storage. No air conditioning, although an electric floor fan was provided. We could not get regular TV channels to show on the TV in our room. The front desk attempted to help but were unsuccessful. Although they said someone would come to fix it, no one ever did. The reason I am rating average rather than poor is cost. We were attending the Pittsburgh-Minnesota NFL game, and this was the only place in Dublin with available rooms, and cost seemed very reasonable given the demand for hotel rooms in the city.

Room was cosy but well laid out, providing ample space. The bathroom appeared to be recently refurbished and is well maintained/cleaned. The hotel is in the centre of Temple Bar, but faces the quieter streets. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is now my go-to when I need to travel to Dublin for work.

This is an old, but beautiful property. It is right in the middle of activity, so the noise is to be expected. The property is in the process of updating. A bit more attention to cleaning the rooms would help. That being said, we did enjoy our stay here. The location was ideal.

The location was very convenient, with easy access to the town and Temple Bar. However, the overall experience was disappointing. Our room had a musty odor and faced a view of trash and debris outside. Additionally, the lobby felt unclean, which gave a poor first impression upon arrival.

The elevator was broken so we had to drag our luggage up three flights of stairs only to discover our room was in a different area. The receptionist did not tell us. So we had to carry it all down and then back up again. Our room was small and we found an earring in the middle of the room so it wasn't vacuumed. The location was very convenient in the heart of the city but this did make it a bit noisy.

The location was phenomenal. It was close to tons of popular pubs, sites, restaurants, etc. Our room was small, but not a big issue. The problem was that it was extremely hot and the bed was awful. I could feel every spring in the mattress which made it very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. The staff provided a fan, which slightly helped to cool the room, but I had trouble sleeping during our entire stay. The elevator being out of order was not a huge issue, even being on the top floor, but I think they should board it up so people stop thinking it’ll be fixed.

Perfect location, amazing staff, clean and comfortable. Room is perfect for what i wanted - a base to sleep, shower and explore. The only minor complaint i have is the lack of storage space (neither a closet nor chestof drawers, and no counter space in the bathroom). But we made do and overall it was a great place to say. Again - i have to emphasize how friendly and fabulous the staff were. An absolute pleasure!

Good location in Temple Bar area and within walking distance of greater Dublin. Front desk staff all very friendly and helpful. Downside of our stay…the elevator was broke and not working. Our room was on the 3rd floor so made it difficult carrying luggage up several flights of stairs. There is no air/air conditioning (which is mentioned on their listing) and it was August so it was hot and stuffy! Fortunately we ran into a housekeeper on 1st night who offered us a fan. Unfortunately the fan was low powered and didn’t give us much air.

Very nice staff! Location great if you want the buzzling scene of the Temple area in Dublin. However the rooms are small, and extremely hot in the room. So not stay here in the middle of the summer. It was ca 15-20 C when we stayed.

My stay at the Temple Bar Townhouse in late September 2025 was extremely disappointing. I was returning to Canada after 2 weeks walking the Camino Portuguese and I had to overnight in Dublin. I chose a reasonably priced hotel in the Temple Bar area so I could enjoy the activity in central Dublin. Of all my accommodations in Portugal and Spain over the previous 2 weeks, my stay at the Temple Bar Townhouses was most disappointing. The room was quite nice and the bathroom was very good; however, I found the staff to be challenging from the moment I walked into the hotel. I asked for a recommendation for a restaurant and the gentleman in the hotel immediately recommended an Irish pub just down the street. However, as I found out later, this pub was affiliated with the Temple Bar Townhouse and may not have been the best choice for an authentic Irish lunch. I would not stay at this hotel again. It was not a good experience.

The hotel is in the centre of Temple Bar, but faces the quieter streets. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is now my go-to when I need to travel to Dublin for work.

The accommodations themselves are great. However the location is a double-edged sword: close to so many attractions / pubs make it super convenient BUT the noise from the street is super irritating. People out partying right outside the hotel until the wee hours. Would have liked to sleep with the windows open as there's no other ventilation in the room but had to shut them bc of the noise.

Location was great, we were walking distance to anywhere and literally around the corner from the Temple bar. The staff were friendly and didn't mind answering our questions and giving us directions to places. The rooms were clean but a little dated. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

I’ve been to some poor hotels but this was the worst. The hotel is unappealing from the second you walk through the door. It is dirty and the smell when you walk into the reception immediately puts you off going any further. The room was very tiny, definitely not enough floor space for 2 people. There was nowhere to hang clothes, no mirror unless you want to stand on the bed, and the room didn’t look like it had had a thorough clean for years. Although this is in a good location, if you are happy to spend 48 hours awake all night then this is for you. People were shouting outside the hotel at 4am and then you have the street cleaners around 6am. In the height of the summer and how tiny the room was, you had no choice but to have the window open. The headboard had stains on it, which I had seen from another review (obviously the hotel hadn’t tried to rectify those). Honestly do not waste your money staying here. It may be central but it was definitely not worth it. And the view from the room….
