We were in one of the outdoor 'pods' and I have to say the room was nicely laid out and decor was fantastic. Food in the restaurant is AMAZING, staff are wonderfully friendly. Advantage of a car park which does get full so be aware of that, but it does change all the time so if you are monitoring it you can get your car in. Plenty of breakfast choices in the serve yourself continental breakfast. Make sure you book into the restaurant as it gets full...Would definitely make it my 'go to' place when visiting Tamworth as a stones throw away from everything in the town.

Stayed overnight while attending a concert in St Editha's church nearby. Room was very comfortable, well designed and just what we needed. The bar is welcoming and the breakfast was fab. Great central location and we would highly recommend.

The check in process was a little strange as you have to go to the pub counter but it was very quick and the room was very comfortable and well appointed with a fantastic shower! My only complaint about the room was that it was hot and we could not adjust the temperature but there was a fan in the room so we used that! Make sure you book dinner in the hotel as they serve the most amazing curries - best one of our trip!!!!!

Manageress and staff were courteous, helpful, efficient and friendly. The room and facilities were fine. Whilst so many pubs are closing, this one is thriving: full of happy patrons. On both evenings couples and families with children were enjoying themselves with good food with their drinks. The room was spotless and everything worked.

Had a great 1 night stay. Check in was easy and quick and our room was lovely with a good size bathroom. Was very clean and had everything a guest would need (soap, hairdryer, hot drink things). The evening meal in the pub was amazing a curry with great flavour and dessert was delicious. Same with the full English breakfast. All staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. A nice clean room with good staff and great meals. The only thing i would say is the car park isnt very big and is not easy to find. We asked a member of staff who pointed us in the right direction from there was alright. Would totally recommend!

What a find! Great hotel, recently refurbished, super comfy beds and stylish bathrooms. Good location for town yet close to exiting the town by car. Simple yet efficient breakfast service and the best curry in town in the evenings. I will not even look anywhere else shod I ever need a hotel again in Tamworth.

Easy to locate off the M42. The room was excellent. Contemporary and very immaculate. Staff on arrival were superb. Very friendly and helpful. I had a meal in the pub. The menu offered a variety of food. I noticed that all the tables were reserved which said to me it was a popular place to dine. I wasn’t disappointed. I found my room at the front to the main road was noisy however I live in a rural location so not used to it. I will definitely book again when visiting NEC

Great location and rooms really good…standout is the bar and food, great atmosphere and top notch Indian food flavoured really well…only downside is lack of a comfortable chair but that goes for most hotels

Room was so clean fantastic bathroom beds so comfortable breakfast was amazing staff so friendly we throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again thank you to all staff who made us feel welcome xxx

The bedsheets were dirty, room smelled moldy and the carpet in a section of the room was wet. No one offered to move us to another room.

Small boutique stay above a busy but very nice contemporary restaurant. Our double room was very small but fine for a night stay. Unfortunately we were situated at the front of the building which is just off a busy island and main road, so it wasnt the quietest of rooms. There was also a terrible smell on entering the room which came from the plumbing or drain in the bathroom. We were last to check in that day which meant we ended up with likely the worst room. Our friend had a great little double annex which was superb. Rooms were thoughtfully decorated and modern. The breakfast was delicious. You pre book your time and main hot choice at the time of check in. Cereals, toast, yogurt and fruit was also available aside from the main hot option which was made to order. It really was faultless. Just a shame about the smell and location of our room as otherwise this woukd have top 5 stars.

Lovely friendly staff. However, the part of the building where the rooms were was smelly as soon as the front door was opened and the room stank of drains.

Small room with a double bed that was very uncomfortable. Shower head needs replacing in room 19 as it comes out uneven. Had to decide breakfast at checkin that wasn’t ideal. Breakfast was ok but hot chocolate seemed watered down in comparison to other establishments with the same machines. Limited parking for residents and initially had to park off site.

Excellent staff. Food on a different level and very clean room. Would pay the extra for room 10 next time as nice and large. Only downside for me was the room and bed in room 16 a touch small. Owners very accomadating and lovely people who also help their community.

Lovely 3 night stay. Room was a little tight but ok for a single person. Very clean and fantastic breakfast served with a smile. Bed was comfortable, but as I am a restless sleeper, the single mattress kept sliding about on the base. That is the worst thing I can say about it, everything else was very agreeable. Would certainly stay there again.

The adjacent pub is beautiful and definitely has a woman's touch.The staff are lovely, friendly and courteous. The breakfast was very nice and you get plenty of choice. The hotel is adjacent, newly done up, clean and inviting. The room is tidy and has a modern style. The bathroom was clean and crisp. The single room, however, was extremely small and the bed very uncomfortable. I did not get a good night sleep.

I stayed 1 night and at 3.30am a man came into my room waking me up which is clearly a frightening situation. I was unable to sleep after that. The minimum I expect from a hotel is to feel safe in my room & to be able to sleep. After multiple attempts to get a refund the hotel has confirmed the events as I describe but just say it was a mistake, they have apologised & the guy who came into my room was very nice about it so they are offering no recompense for it happening. They have failed to recognise the potential repercussions of their mistake or the impact on me. This is not customer service in my book!

Turned away saying the hotel was full, hotels . Com could not provide me with a phone number to discuss. I had to book another hotel direct. And my message from hotels.com was it was a non refundable booking. I was turned away at the door. Terrible service to someone who uses hotels.com 2/3 times per week.

Check in easy with polite staff. Parking explained. Asked what I would like for breakfast next morning, given the hot choices and rough time required. Room was small but really nicely decorated, bathroom with walk in shower was modern and upmarket fittings. Breakfast was excellent, staff were excellent. No negatives at all.

Manageress and staff were courteous, helpful, efficient and friendly. The room and facilities were fine. Whilst so many pubs are closing, this one is thriving: full of happy patrons. On both evenings couples and families with children were enjoying themselves with good food with their drinks. The room was spotless and everything worked.

Stayed here recently and booked another stay but due to a dramatic change in my health and an urgent doctors appointment Monday I had to cancel. I offered evidence for this but was refused a refund on my prepaid night. Gutted as I was planning on using this place regularly to visit family. But with no compassion or understanding, I won’t be returning. Thank you for adding stress to an already stressful weekend!

Had a great 1 night stay. Check in was easy and quick and our room was lovely with a good size bathroom. Was very clean and had everything a guest would need (soap, hairdryer, hot drink things). The evening meal in the pub was amazing a curry with great flavour and dessert was delicious. Same with the full English breakfast. All staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. A nice clean room with good staff and great meals. The only thing i would say is the car park isnt very big and is not easy to find. We asked a member of staff who pointed us in the right direction from there was alright. Would totally recommend!

I arrived at the property to check in ,only to be told that my room had been double booked,and that there was no room available.the website still showed that 2 rooms were available at this time but that wasnt the case apparently. I was given several excuses from the system being faulty to late bookings not being logged ,but not good enough really ,it still didnt find me a room for the night. the place itself seemed nice but be wary when booking and double check before travelling like i did only to be let down

Stayed overnight while attending a concert in St Editha's church nearby. Room was very comfortable, well designed and just what we needed. The bar is welcoming and the breakfast was fab. Great central location and we would highly recommend.

First time we have been toTamworth. Hotel was just what we wanted. Excellent location friendly staff and comfortable bed. Hotel had just tecently had a refurb and was lovely and clean and couldn't be faulted. Breakfast although just continental was plentiful with lots of choices. Great value for money and would definitely recommend.

Easy to locate off the M42. The room was excellent. Contemporary and very immaculate. Staff on arrival were superb. Very friendly and helpful. I had a meal in the pub. The menu offered a variety of food. I noticed that all the tables were reserved which said to me it was a popular place to dine. I wasn’t disappointed. I found my room at the front to the main road was noisy however I live in a rural location so not used to it. I will definitely book again when visiting NEC

Stayed overnight - rooms recently refurbished and very clean and comfortable, excellent shower and despite overlooking main road - reasonably quiet. 4 of us had a curry (their speciality) and there were 4 empty plates! Excellent! We also had breakfast the next morning and this was fabulous too! I had masala beans on toast which was a wonderful spicy start to my day and my wife had a full english which was huge! Plenty of complimentary sundries too! The staff, including the owners - a lovely family from the Punjab region could not do enough for us - delightful. Would heartily recommend.

The hotel was lovely and the staff. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very disappointing. We never book for breakfast included when we book hotels but the write up was so good we paid the extra to stay here and try it. When we came down to breakfast we were informed that as we were the only ones staying they didn’t bother getting the chef in. Nice! We were offered some toast which we had and then headed off into town to buy breakfast which then added to our expenses. We weren’t offered any refund. Very disappointing as the place was so lovely.

The check in process was a little strange as you have to go to the pub counter but it was very quick and the room was very comfortable and well appointed with a fantastic shower! My only complaint about the room was that it was hot and we could not adjust the temperature but there was a fan in the room so we used that! Make sure you book dinner in the hotel as they serve the most amazing curries - best one of our trip!!!!!

We had a lovely room for 3 of us. The curries were incredible in the pub, 100% the best meal I’ve ever had in a pub, so authentic. Service was great the whole time we were there. Would def recommend it.

The adjacent pub is beautiful and definitely has a woman's touch.The staff are lovely, friendly and courteous. The breakfast was very nice and you get plenty of choice. The hotel is adjacent, newly done up, clean and inviting. The room is tidy and has a modern style. The bathroom was clean and crisp. The single room, however, was extremely small and the bed very uncomfortable. I did not get a good night sleep.

I have used this hotel many times over the last several years, possibly over 20 times. As a general rule, I have had an excellent experience until recently. On my last visit, I identified that several rooms suffered with an inseparable smell of damp on the top floor. I previously complained about this and was assured that management knew about it and was addressing it. Then on my next booking (this one I am leaving the review for) I discovered that my room was one of the rooms that had the damp problem. I found that the damp issue had not been resolved. I refused to sign for the room however the staff said that they would not give a refund because I had booked through hotels.com and I should go through them. hotels.com tried several times to contact the hotel, however they ignored all the calls and the emails to avoid having to give me a refund on the rooms for two nights which I had booked. I went back and told the staff that I would never book there again and I would make it my mission to ensure that every review platform would have my honest review on this disgraceful experience with a business that I previously would’ve definitely advocated for. All this proves as that they are happy to take your money and provide substandard bedrooms and then hide behind ignoring calls and emails when it comes to refunds. Spend your money elsewhere with a hotel that will give a damn. This Owner doesn’t deserve a penny.

Ideal setting and wonderful staff. Spoilt slightly by drain Smells (rm15). Restaurant food good but again slightly spoilt by too much salt in the curries (starters were excellent). Good vibe in the evening. Very friendly bar. On site free parking good. Easy stroll into Tamworth. Castle and surrounding park well worth a visit. Overall happy with my stay and would consider going again.
