Das Buffet war ausgiebig uns es gab Themenabende, was für etwas Abwechslung sorgte. Das Zimmer war stets sauber und die Minibar wurde auch täglich befüllt. Pools waren eher kühl (Ende Saison), das Meer hingegen noch sehr angenehm.

Lovely modern property, beautifully laid out. Lots of pools including adults only areas. Several different restaurants. All inclusive food was excellent. Nice beer, shame about the included wine. Own segment of beach just outside property. Small village nearby to wander around. Would recommend to families and couples of all ages.

We booked the family suite with private pool. The rooms were really nice; clean and spacious. Had a slight few problems with the lighting control as the whole suite (living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms) were connected so it was complicated to use. Aircon was also a problem as it kept switching off. The private pool is quite small. Staff are ok, not rude but not welcoming either. Mini bar in the room only had 2 bottles of water so we asked for extra 2 as we had 4 people in our suite. The staff was very hesistant and said they only give 2 bottles a day. He then gave us 1 extra "this time only". All inclusive does not mean all inclusive. There are alot of subcharges. All restaurants and cafes close at 10.30/11pm so if you arrive later than this or feel hungry after this time, then you\'ll have to pay for food (room service). The main restaurant where we ate breakfast lunch and sometimes dinner, was good. Breakfast and lunch are usually the same more or less, but they have different cuisine each day for dinner. So all in all, a good choice of food for the week. We managed to get booking for the greek BBQ (€15 per person) which was really fun. Live music and performance. Would definitely recommend. There are other restaurants in the hotel that doesnt charge extra - we tried the tex mex and thai. Both are ok, not the best but not terrible. Indoor pool, sauna and gym are all extra costs. They are located in the spa area and we was told it was a €25 fee to use.

Not quite a five star hotel. Needs some improvements. Pools are freezing and some tiles are missing. Alcohol selection poor. Cushions on bed had stains need cleaning.

A nice resort however the location is an issue unless you have a car. It feels rather remote and the beach didn’t look amazing here like what you would expect. Need to go out and visit some beautiful beaches and everything felt so far away… Could hardly secure sun-beds in the adults only space which was frustrating. Annoying that you can’t swim in pools after 6pm and no shaded areas in any of the pool areas.

We were fortunately upgraded to a private pool (5m by 4m) which was a Godsend because by 930 every (literally every) sunbed was taken. Partially because I noticed people taking two or three (a couple in one pool with one hotel towel over them and then a couple at another pool with personal towels over them). If you don’t get a private pool / swim-up then DO NOT book this hotel unless you are willing to get up at 8. Apart from that - drinks choice was good, all premium but Pepsi rather than coke, food was acceptable - somewhat average and the buffet choice very limited and often empty. There are lots of bars and restaurants outside so this isn’t one of those hotels you are “stuck in”

The resort is extremely clean and well maintained. The staff are very kind and accommodating. I am glad we chose this resort as it had tons of pools, seating options and a huge delicious buffet. Pools are very cold in May but still was a beautiful resort with ocean view and easy access. There are lots of excursions that can be easily signed up for, the quadding tour was very fun! I wish we had been informed when getting there that dinners need to be reserved if you want to go anywhere except the buffet. Even though we didn’t go during the very busy time it was near impossible to get a dinner reservation so we ended up eating at the buffet a lot but there was always a large selection there at least. There were lots of children which wasn’t a problem for myself or my husband and there are a few options for adult only areas but if you want a resort with no kids running around/swimming/yelling then this is not the place for you. The little shop on the resort where you can buy sunscreen etc is very expensive but there is a shop directly across the street from the resort that sells everything for half the price. It rained a few days so we looked at the spa at the resort but all of the treatments were extremely overpriced and the spa staff were a tad pushy. Overall, everything considered, I would recommend and go back to this resort!

Brilliant staff serving to the beach, along with most of the staff we came across, with a other notable mention for the maid we had. A la carte dining options were well worth doing and much better than most other all inclusive hotels weve visited, although booking on the system was difficult and could be improved. Lovely hotel with nice modern rooms. Only other point to families, is that the pool area next to the beach is the adults only zone, which is a large area of the pools that are available- the size of this area wasn't overly clear when booking. All in all though a really nice place which is run well

We booked a sea view swim up and the terrace had significaht amounts of rodent droppings. We had to move room but they could only offer the same block and there were still rodent droppings on the terrace. Not at all even 2 star standard. Very dissappointing. The family pool area was very cramped and dirty and the adult only area was much more spacious and luxurious. Other guests with families made comments very similar to us onbthe family pool area. I have been to several hotels in this area of Crete and for the reasons above this was by far the worse. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to any family. In additoon some of the staff were rude when asking for basic things.

Die Hotelanlage und der dazugehörige Strand ist sehr weitläufig, gut gepflegt und schön gestaltet. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und ebenfalls ansprechend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Einzige was zu bemängeln wäre ist, dass die Zimmermädchen leider nur sehr oberflächlich arbeiten und einige Ecken im Zimmer entsprechend nicht richtig sauber waren. Es fehlte an kleinen, aber entscheidenden Details in Sachen Sauberkeit (Badematte, Tüten in den Mülleimern, dreckige Leisten im Bad, dreckige Scheiben an den Schiebetüren des Zimmers, fremde Haare auf den Zierkissen etc.) die man einfach in einem 5 Sterne Hotel, auch in eigener Landeskategorie, erwartet. An sich haben wir die Zeit dort aber sehr genossen und würden definitiv wieder dort Urlaub machen. Die Defizite im Zimmer wurden durch die Anlage wettgemacht.

The service we received at Atlantica Caldera Palace was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with mojitos for us to enjoy while we checked in. The hotel wasn’t certain what time we would arrive, so had arranged food and drinks to be provided for us in our room. It was also our honeymoon and the hotel wasn’t aware before we arrived. On our second night we returned to the room to find a bottle of wine, fruits and other snacks and a letter from the hotel to congratulate us and offer us special offers to use in the hotel which was a very thoughtful gesture. We arranged different dinining options at the a La carte restaurants with Veronica on the PR desk. She was very helpful and arranged everything for us and also made some recommendations for places to visit. The service really could not be faulted throughout the hotel. The housekeepers were expetional and every evening we returned to find our beds had been turned down and chocolate left on the pillows. Katrina, one of the waitresses, was incredible. She was so friendly and personable and made such an effort for our stay. She insisted we tried different local liquors and told us a bit about each one. She really was an asset to the hotel. There were a number of other waiters and waitresses and bar tenders that were brilliant in the adult bar and the adult dining area.
The service we received at Atlantica Caldera Palace was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with mojitos for us to enjoy while we checked in. The hotel wasn’t certain what time we would arrive, so had arranged food and drinks to be provided for us in our room. It was also our honeymoon and the hotel wasn’t aware before we arrived. On our second night we returned to the room to find a bottle of wine, fruits and other snacks and a letter from the hotel to congratulate us and offer us special offers to use in the hotel which was a very thoughtful gesture. We arranged different dinining options at the a La carte restaurants with Veronica on the PR desk. She was very helpful and arranged everything for us and also made some recommendations for places to visit. The service really could not be faulted throughout the hotel. The housekeepers were expetional and every evening we returned to find our beds had been turned down and chocolate left on the pillows. Katrina, one of the waitresses, was incredible. She was so friendly and personable and made such an effort for our stay. She insisted we tried different local liquors and told us a bit about each one. She really was an asset to the hotel. There were a number of other waiters and waitresses and bar tenders that were brilliant in the adult bar and the adult dining area.

The stay we had at Atlantica Caldera Palace was amazing. The hotel itself was not far from paradise!! The staff were great and there were lots of places around the hotel complex to relax. There rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels etc. We would definitely return.

We booked the family suite with private pool. The rooms were really nice; clean and spacious. Had a slight few problems with the lighting control as the whole suite (living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms) were connected so it was complicated to use. Aircon was also a problem as it kept switching off. The private pool is quite small. Staff are ok, not rude but not welcoming either. Mini bar in the room only had 2 bottles of water so we asked for extra 2 as we had 4 people in our suite. The staff was very hesistant and said they only give 2 bottles a day. He then gave us 1 extra "this time only". All inclusive does not mean all inclusive. There are alot of subcharges. All restaurants and cafes close at 10.30/11pm so if you arrive later than this or feel hungry after this time, then you\'ll have to pay for food (room service). The main restaurant where we ate breakfast lunch and sometimes dinner, was good. Breakfast and lunch are usually the same more or less, but they have different cuisine each day for dinner. So all in all, a good choice of food for the week. We managed to get booking for the greek BBQ (€15 per person) which was really fun. Live music and performance. Would definitely recommend. There are other restaurants in the hotel that doesnt charge extra - we tried the tex mex and thai. Both are ok, not the best but not terrible. Indoor pool, sauna and gym are all extra costs. They are located in the spa area and we was told it was a €25 fee to use.

Es fehlte an kleinen, aber entscheidenden Details in Sachen Sauberkeit (Badematte, Tüten in den Mülleimern, dreckige Leisten im Bad, dreckige Scheiben an den Schiebetüren des Zimmers, fremde Haare auf den Zierkissen etc.) die man einfach in einem 5 Sterne Hotel, auch in eigener Landeskategorie, erwartet. An sich haben wir die Zeit dort aber sehr genossen und würden definitiv wieder dort Urlaub machen. Die Defizite im Zimmer wurden durch die Anlage wettgemacht.

This is a great all inclusive resort! When we arrived, they surprised us with a free upgrade and gave us a family suite which was amazing. It even had a private pool! They received us with juice for the kids and sparkling wine for me and my husband. They gifted us a wine bottle and a fruit basket. The food in all the restaurants was a little bland for my taste but good. They have many pools, so it never feels crowded. My kids were entertained during the day at the pool and in the ocean. In the evenings, they enjoyed playing in the gaming room very much. They ran around the resort by themselves, and it was very safe. We were mostly in the beach where they have bar service and a water fountain. The lifeguard was always on watch, and we felt very safe swimming in the ocean. The beach is beautiful, and the ocean is calm. From the resort you can see the amazing sunsets. I would go back in a heartbeat!

This is the worst 5 star hotel I have been to in all my years of travelling. This hotel deserves a maximum of 3 stars. The room is the only positive thing about the hotel as it was reasonably fresh. However, the beds were hard. The food is a disaster. It is the same food in the main buffet every day. The only thing that is varied are the sauces for the meat itself. Most of the meat was pork, so there wasn\'t much else to choose from. Tired of the food after just a few days as there is no variety in the food. I also got food poisoning after a few days and I\'m still not recovered after I got home from the trip and it\'s almost been a week. Avoid eating at this hotel. Also, unpleasant staff and unpleasant treatment. They are only nice to Greeks. Felt uncomfortable every time I ate in the dining room as the waiters gave us ugly looks. There is also salt water in the pools that are meant for children to be in, which is completely insane. There is no information that there are many saltwater pools and only a few "regular" pools. The children\'s pool is also at the far end of the hotel, which makes it very difficult for children to walk such a long distance with all the stairs in the strong heat.

Just completed a weeks stay at the Atlantica Caldera Palace, our first all inclusive. Very much a fly and flop holiday (so no excursions / exploring). Caldera Palace was fantastic, a great room, lovely facilities, great food and exceptional staff (always smiling and helpful) - would we go again, absolutely; would we recommend, definitely.

I had the most wonderful stay at this hotel, we had a swim up suite which was perfect with a great view of the sea. The food was amazing and the staff so brilliant. The only downside was the drinks and I wish there had been an option to updgrade to a premium package as it did spoil the holiday a bit. The best thing about the hotel was the lovely entertainments team in the evening, a special mention to the brilliant Jorje who delighted us each evening with his singing and even serenaded me on my birthday. What a lovely guy! Andy was also fabulous and the saxophone player all 3 super talented. Some parts of the hotel could have used a cosmetic update but honestly I loved the hotel and would come back.

Property was disceiving upon arrival. After walking around the first day we realized how large and beautiful this property really was. We were helped daily by a person on their staff named "Efrosini". She provided sooooo much information to my wife. She assisted us with everything. Efrosini definately needs to be nominated for employee of the year !!! So friendly, so quick to assist, always with a smile. Glad we chose this resort and Efrosini made it that much more enjoyable 🙂

Very nice and posh hotel. But we arrive late so missed dinner, and they left us a couple of sandwiches in the room and some sweets. We ordered a picnic for a day out and didn't have any actual food on it. Only rice cakes and nut hars. We requested a late checkout and it wasn't recorded. They put the request day before and was confirmed. Paid 150 euros (missing 2 meals we could have been offered a discount). We went to bedroom after lunch and card wasn't working because they didn't update in reception the late checkout request. I have to givev4 stars because food was amazing and 3 restaurants included. Daily activities not announce, not much offered. We had to contact social relations manager to get information, but not very helpful at that point.

Decent option but not 5 stars. Restaurant reservation system left a lot to be desired. Everything full the moment they were available. Literally within 1 minute of opening only times we’re 9pm and even those options were limited. Staff didn’t try to be helpful. If you’re similar to Cancun all inclusive, this will fall short.

Our stay was exceptional! From the start, we had ongoing communication prior to our arrival, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Despite our short notice, the hotel graciously accommodated an early check-in. To celebrate our girls' trip, which included a birthday and a bachelorette, they went above and beyond by sending complimentary fruits, drinks, and cake to our room. We were thrilled to receive an upgrade to a room with a private swim-up pool, making our stay even more special. The staff and services were just exceptional! Although we encountered a minor issue with our key entry and had to wait an additional 15 minutes for maintenance, the staff immediately offered us free drinks, which was incredibly generous and unnecessary but highly appreciated. Their accommodating nature and dedication to making our experience beautiful truly stood out. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a memorable and delightful stay. Thank you to everyone who made our trip unforgettable!

Beautiful place, great areas for family time and for adult time. Baby club was wonderful, staff throughout the property were diligent and kind. The restaurant staff were so impressive. We loved our time here!

Lovely modern property, beautifully laid out. Lots of pools including adults only areas. Several different restaurants. All inclusive food was excellent. Nice beer, shame about the included wine. Own segment of beach just outside property. Small village nearby to wander around. Would recommend to families and couples of all ages.

During our stay we had a very enjoyable time. Visited for my wife’s birthday and had a great experience, the staff was kind and helpful, and added to the fun. The amenities were awesome, on my wife’s birthday the hotel made a great gesture sending her a cake with some certificates to the on site spa and discounts at the on site jewelry store a very sweet and kind gesture that made her birthday all that more special. The various pools to visit were amazing and the short trip to the beach was great, morning coffees with a spectacular view. Thank you for an amazing experience

Es fehlte an kleinen, aber entscheidenden Details in Sachen Sauberkeit (Badematte, Tüten in den Mülleimern, dreckige Leisten im Bad, dreckige Scheiben an den Schiebetüren des Zimmers, fremde Haare auf den Zierkissen etc.) die man einfach in einem 5 Sterne Hotel, auch in eigener Landeskategorie, erwartet. An sich haben wir die Zeit dort aber sehr genossen und würden definitiv wieder dort Urlaub machen. Die Defizite im Zimmer wurden durch die Anlage wettgemacht.
Die Hotelanlage und der dazugehörige Strand ist sehr weitläufig, gut gepflegt und schön gestaltet. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und ebenfalls ansprechend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Einzige was zu bemängeln wäre ist, dass die Zimmermädchen leider nur sehr oberflächlich arbeiten und einige Ecken im Zimmer entsprechend nicht richtig sauber waren. A nice resort however the location is an issue unless you have a car. It feels rather remote and the beach didn’t look amazing here like what you would expect. Need to go out and visit some beautiful beaches and everything felt so far away… Could hardly secure sun-beds in the adults only space which was frustrating. Annoying that you can’t swim in pools after 6pm and no shaded areas in any of the pool areas.

The resort is extremely clean and well maintained. The staff are very kind and accommodating. I am glad we chose this resort as it had tons of pools, seating options and a huge delicious buffet. Pools are very cold in May but still was a beautiful resort with ocean view and easy access. There are lots of excursions that can be easily signed up for, the quadding tour was very fun! I wish we had been informed when getting there that dinners need to be reserved if you want to go anywhere except the buffet. Even though we didn’t go during the very busy time it was near impossible to get a dinner reservation so we ended up eating at the buffet a lot but there was always a large selection there at least. There were lots of children which wasn’t a problem for myself or my husband and there are a few options for adult only areas but if you want a resort with no kids running around/swimming/yelling then this is not the place for you. The little shop on the resort where you can buy sunscreen etc is very expensive but there is a shop directly across the street from the resort that sells everything for half the price. It rained a few days so we looked at the spa at the resort but all of the treatments were extremely overpriced and the spa staff were a tad pushy. Overall, everything considered, I would recommend and go back to this resort!

Brilliant staff serving to the beach, along with most of the staff we came across, with a other notable mention for the maid we had. A la carte dining options were well worth doing and much better than most other all inclusive hotels weve visited, although booking on the system was difficult and could be improved. Lovely hotel with nice modern rooms. Only other point to families, is that the pool area next to the beach is the adults only zone, which is a large area of the pools that are available- the size of this area wasn't overly clear when booking. All in all though a really nice place which is run well

Very nice and posh hotel. But we arrive late so missed dinner, and they left us a couple of sandwiches in the room and some sweets. We ordered a picnic for a day out and didn't have any actual food on it. Only rice cakes and nut hars. We requested a late checkout and it wasn't recorded. They put the request day before and was confirmed. Paid 150 euros (missing 2 meals we could have been offered a discount). We went to bedroom after lunch and card wasn't working because they didn't update in reception the late checkout request. I have to givev4 stars because food was amazing and 3 restaurants included. Daily activities not announce, not much offered. We had to contact social relations manager to get information, but not very helpful at that point.

Das Buffet war ausgiebig uns es gab Themenabende, was für etwas Abwechslung sorgte. Das Zimmer war stets sauber und die Minibar wurde auch täglich befüllt. Pools waren eher kühl (Ende Saison), das Meer hingegen noch sehr angenehm.

Lovely modern property, beautifully laid out. Lots of pools including adults only areas. Several different restaurants. All inclusive food was excellent. Nice beer, shame about the included wine. Own segment of beach just outside property. Small village nearby to wander around. Would recommend to families and couples of all ages.

We booked the family suite with private pool. The rooms were really nice; clean and spacious. Had a slight few problems with the lighting control as the whole suite (living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms) were connected so it was complicated to use. Aircon was also a problem as it kept switching off. The private pool is quite small. Staff are ok, not rude but not welcoming either. Mini bar in the room only had 2 bottles of water so we asked for extra 2 as we had 4 people in our suite. The staff was very hesistant and said they only give 2 bottles a day. He then gave us 1 extra "this time only". All inclusive does not mean all inclusive. There are alot of subcharges. All restaurants and cafes close at 10.30/11pm so if you arrive later than this or feel hungry after this time, then you\'ll have to pay for food (room service). The main restaurant where we ate breakfast lunch and sometimes dinner, was good. Breakfast and lunch are usually the same more or less, but they have different cuisine each day for dinner. So all in all, a good choice of food for the week. We managed to get booking for the greek BBQ (€15 per person) which was really fun. Live music and performance. Would definitely recommend. There are other restaurants in the hotel that doesnt charge extra - we tried the tex mex and thai. Both are ok, not the best but not terrible. Indoor pool, sauna and gym are all extra costs. They are located in the spa area and we was told it was a €25 fee to use.

Decent option but not 5 stars. Restaurant reservation system left a lot to be desired. Everything full the moment they were available. Literally within 1 minute of opening only times we’re 9pm and even those options were limited. Staff didn’t try to be helpful. If you’re similar to Cancun all inclusive, this will fall short.

This is the worst 5 star hotel I have been to in all my years of travelling. This hotel deserves a maximum of 3 stars. The room is the only positive thing about the hotel as it was reasonably fresh. However, the beds were hard. The food is a disaster. It is the same food in the main buffet every day. The only thing that is varied are the sauces for the meat itself. Most of the meat was pork, so there wasn\'t much else to choose from. Tired of the food after just a few days as there is no variety in the food. I also got food poisoning after a few days and I\'m still not recovered after I got home from the trip and it\'s almost been a week. Avoid eating at this hotel. Also, unpleasant staff and unpleasant treatment. They are only nice to Greeks. Felt uncomfortable every time I ate in the dining room as the waiters gave us ugly looks. There is also salt water in the pools that are meant for children to be in, which is completely insane. There is no information that there are many saltwater pools and only a few "regular" pools. The children\'s pool is also at the far end of the hotel, which makes it very difficult for children to walk such a long distance with all the stairs in the strong heat.

We were fortunately upgraded to a private pool (5m by 4m) which was a Godsend because by 930 every (literally every) sunbed was taken. Partially because I noticed people taking two or three (a couple in one pool with one hotel towel over them and then a couple at another pool with personal towels over them). If you don’t get a private pool / swim-up then DO NOT book this hotel unless you are willing to get up at 8. Apart from that - drinks choice was good, all premium but Pepsi rather than coke, food was acceptable - somewhat average and the buffet choice very limited and often empty. There are lots of bars and restaurants outside so this isn’t one of those hotels you are “stuck in”

I had the most wonderful stay at this hotel, we had a swim up suite which was perfect with a great view of the sea. The food was amazing and the staff so brilliant. The only downside was the drinks and I wish there had been an option to updgrade to a premium package as it did spoil the holiday a bit. The best thing about the hotel was the lovely entertainments team in the evening, a special mention to the brilliant Jorje who delighted us each evening with his singing and even serenaded me on my birthday. What a lovely guy! Andy was also fabulous and the saxophone player all 3 super talented. Some parts of the hotel could have used a cosmetic update but honestly I loved the hotel and would come back.

We had a wonderful week at the Atlantica Caldera Palace. We stayed in a swim-up room, which was absolutely fabulous and really made our holiday extra special. Overall, the hotel was excellent. There was a great variety of food, restaurants, bars, and pools, and the location is ideal. As it was still early in the season, the hotel wasn’t fully busy yet, and there were some new staff members being trained. Because of this, the check-in experience could have been smoother. The receptionist wasn’t sure where our room was, and we had to call to have our bags brought to the room after waiting about 1.5 hours. We also weren’t given much information about the restaurants or opening times on arrival and had to ask a few times before we got everything we needed. That said, it didn’t affect our overall holiday experience. The general cleanliness of the hotel was very good. On a couple of days, our room wasn’t cleaned to the usual standard, but overall, we really couldn’t fault the place.

This is a beautiful resort with a lot of potential. The rooms were modern, clean, and very spacious, which we really appreciated. We also had a great first impression as the staff greeted us warmly and allowed us to check in hours early after arriving from an early flight. That said, there were some service inconsistencies. Housekeeping took up to three days to remove dirty glasses and plates from our room, and even after placing them in the hallway, they remained there for hours. We also experienced issues with the resort’s card machine, which we later confirmed with our bank was not an issue on our end. The staff did offer to send us breakfast as a gesture, which was appreciated, though we declined. The food and beverage staff were always friendly and kind, but service could be slow at times. It was common for empty drinks to go unnoticed for extended periods despite staff walking by multiple times. The resort is family-friendly but also offers adult-only pool sections, which is a nice touch. However, none of the pools were heated, which was very disappointing. Given the cooler spring weather, the pools were not enjoyable at all, and if the resort is open during this time of year, heated pools should really be available. Evening entertainment was available nightly but fairly average. We did not use the spa as pricing was quite high. Overall, this resort has a lot going for it, but improving service consistency and pool usability would make a big difference.
