Room was very cute and clean. Manager was always very friendly as was all workers. Issue we had is it is very difficult to park and full size truck at motel and very sketchy at night people constantly walking around that do not have rooms there. Also if you have to park in two spots because parking is so small someone will put a card on your truck that you are a Moron.

The staff is absolutely amazing! They have been nothing but pleasant and accommodating every time i stay here. Parking can be a bit tight sometimes. For myself, this has been the most affordable place on short notice.

The first place I stayed at that charged for ice. The room was what you expect for the price the rugs were fifth and left your feet black on the bottom. There are a lot of shady characters but they left the cars alone. Won’t stay again for the simple fact that they charge for Ice really!!!!

The deluxe rooms here are far nicer than any place in town with an $80/night price. Very spacious. There was a beautiful Rose Garden with interesting sculptures and other cool trinkets we could walk through on stone pathways. I booked this place because it was cheap, but it turned out to be a cool hidden gem. I loved staying there!!!

Hotels.com actually had messed up. My reservation so when I got there I didn't have a reservation. But the lady still allowed me to get a room then she booked me to a room. Somebody was already in then she gave me even a better room but she said she would price match. She charged me $65 originally for the room that I wanted but she gave me the bigger room and made me feel like she was just doing me a favor because she had messed up. But really she end up charging me $78 and didn't even tell me that she was charging me extra which I thought wasn't very cool. The OnePlus is that there's no deposit, so if you don't like Dylan with deposits then this is probably your best bet. But there's not very much room for parking. It sucks and the rooms were very cold and it took a long time for the heat to come on.

A cute older "Mom & Pop" motel. I stayed in one of the "domes". Cutely painted with stars & moon. I think rhus is one of their bigger rooms. Locking door, working TV, hot water in the shower, tabke & chairs with microwave & small fridge. The parking is a little tight. Overall, great stay. Except when " Carlos" knocked on my door at 5:30am looking fir someone. I woukd stay here again

I will admit I was skeptical because as others stated it looks like a sketchy neighborhood but we found it very friendly. This is a traditional old Motel some rooms are probably small, however our room was very spacious with a full size fridge, coffee maker & stove. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly & helpful. We were within walking distance to the Labor Day lift off festivities, we walked the mile there & back and never felt unsafe. The parking is definitely tight.

The pictures do not remotely represent the actual property. I thought it looked cute and retro, but it is run down and dirty. It’s supposed to be nonsmoking (with signs about being fined) but our room reeked of smoke. We ended up sleeping in our clothes because we didn’t trust the sheets to be clean, the blanket was stained and dirty (as shown in the picture). I will give them credit that the bathroom was clean at least. We honestly would not have stayed there once we saw it, but it was late when we got in and we had to be up early and didn’t have the energy to find a new place or try to fight them for a refund. For the life of me I don’t understand how it has as high of a rating as it does. Finally, people were walking past our room and the area didn’t feel safe. Not really their fault but something to consider. We have stayed at cheap motels all of the country now, so it isn’t like we had 4 star expectations, and this is the first bad review I’ve ever left. There must be better options in Colorado Springs.

This place was horrible. I booked this because of location, but ended up checking out shortly after checking in. The smell of weed was nauseating. There was no lock on the window and no shampoo. The bed sheets were stained. The motel is part of a storage unit property. The woman at check-in was pleasant, but that is all I can say that is nice about the property.

We stayed Wednesday September 22nd in room 7 the stayff was extremely friendly and helpful but we didn't stay the whole night because we found a bed bug after my girlfriend's stated feeling itchy and noticed welts on her back and arm. Also I had to ask for towels because they're were none in the room and we're missing one of the curtains for the first hour or so till the front desk clerk likely brought us one. Other than those issues the women that checked is in was very nice and attentive.

The main office reeked of cigarette smell, the woman at the desk was very nice. However, once we got to our room, we knew within minutes that we could not stay the night. The cigarette smell was overwhelming. There were beetles on the walls and the be seemed like it was taken from a dumpster nearby into our room. The bedspread had cigarette holes in it. The thermostat didn't work, nor was there a cover on it. There's a generic air conditioner in the window. However, the window is not sealed so bugs are easily allowed in. The door to the bathroom didn't work overall. Bad mistake...I lost a $109 just to drive back up to Denver For nothing. I turned my key back in 20 minutes after check in. The woman at the desk asked if there was a problem. I said "yeah there's beetles on the wall". She said "sorry thank you". We left immediately after that.

Manager was very helpful in everything we asked of her - from helping us figure out how to use the TV to restaurant suggestions. She even volunteered to park our car in a tight spot. She more than made up for the “datedness” of the motel.

Forget about the tiny, outdated rooms that barely fit the queen bed, or even the (lightly put) degenerates that occupy this place. The two minutes worth of luke warm water that comes out of the shower before running cold is absolutely unacceptable. 60 dollars a night for this dump. Nope

I kinda love this place, and will stay here again if I come back for another Black Sheep show. It's this sweet, unique little spot with loads of character on a seedy stretch of Platte lined with more questionable lodging. I had half of a mini-duplex in the back, through a well-kept little patio flower garden. Both sides had pointed roofs, and mine had stars and planets painted on the inside--overhead above the ceiling fan if you were lying in bed. I *will* warn you that the old-smoke smell in (some of?) the room(s) might bother people (my room is definitely nonsmoking now, but may not have been years ago) it just reminded me of the smell of the motels my family stayed in in the 70s when I was a kid. Except those places were generic and forgettable. Also, my neighbors were a bit noisy and woke me up at 5am. Not very thick walls. Nevertheless, if you like to have a motel *experience* and not just a motel, I'd recommend giving it a try. The price can't be beat, the staff are nice folks, and I liked sleeping under the stars.

I will admit I was skeptical because as others stated it looks like a sketchy neighborhood but we found it very friendly. This is a traditional old Motel some rooms are probably small, however our room was very spacious with a full size fridge, coffee maker & stove. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly & helpful. We were within walking distance to the Labor Day lift off festivities, we walked the mile there & back and never felt unsafe. The parking is definitely tight.

Manager was very helpful in everything we asked of her - from helping us figure out how to use the TV to restaurant suggestions. She even volunteered to park our car in a tight spot. She more than made up for the “datedness” of the motel.

I didn’t stay there due to the horrendous, cigarette smoke and poor customer service and treatment. I was told I would only be refunded for one day, but have yet to be refunded. Anything at all do not stay there at all. There are better affordable accommodations elsewhere, plus I think the property is running a scam where they want to charge you $250 for cigarette smoke but yet the whole property already smells like smoke so how are they able to even decipher that seems like a scam to me!

The staff is absolutely amazing! They have been nothing but pleasant and accommodating every time i stay here. Parking can be a bit tight sometimes. For myself, this has been the most affordable place on short notice.

Hotels.com actually had messed up. My reservation so when I got there I didn't have a reservation. But the lady still allowed me to get a room then she booked me to a room. Somebody was already in then she gave me even a better room but she said she would price match. She charged me $65 originally for the room that I wanted but she gave me the bigger room and made me feel like she was just doing me a favor because she had messed up. But really she end up charging me $78 and didn't even tell me that she was charging me extra which I thought wasn't very cool. The OnePlus is that there's no deposit, so if you don't like Dylan with deposits then this is probably your best bet. But there's not very much room for parking. It sucks and the rooms were very cold and it took a long time for the heat to come on.

We checked in around 9pm exhausted from driving all day. The woman at the front desk was friendly at checkin. The area is very sketchy but the room was clean so we ate dinner and immediately went to bed. 2 hours later we woke up to someone trying to unlock our door. We panicked and started yelling. They claimed to be workers of the hotel but we did not believe them at first, because why would a hotel worker be trying to break into our room in the middle of the night. I looked out the window and recognized the lady who checked us in. She grilled us about our names and whether we had a reservation even though she was the one who checked us in 2 hours earlier. It is a small hotel, there is no way she forgot checking us in. I imagine it was a misunderstanding but the whole thing really unsettled us so we immediately left and went to another hotel. I will say, the room was very clean. But i felt extremely unsafe.

Room was very cute and clean. Manager was always very friendly as was all workers. Issue we had is it is very difficult to park and full size truck at motel and very sketchy at night people constantly walking around that do not have rooms there. Also if you have to park in two spots because parking is so small someone will put a card on your truck that you are a Moron.

Beware! All the photos are set up to hide how scary this place is. It’s in a bad part of town and all the other patrons live there and are very scary. They were talking about my husband when they didn’t know I could hear and were looking in our car windows and circling it. Could hear people rattling the fence behind our unit as well. We did not stay the night for our safety. Should have known when the office was locked with bars and had pit bull on chains. Even if we had stayed there was pee in the toilet and a shocking amount of food in the floor. Tried to talk to Expedia about it and they didn’t care. Also called the motel several times and they won’t call us back. Which is not surprising as the front desk woman told us “don’t worry it’s not as dangerous as it looks, just don’t leave your room!”

I like that it's close to downtown, right on a major street. It's quiet, the rooms are a little old, but very comfortable. The one thing it needs is a designated dog walking area, since it's it is dog friendly.

The pictures do not remotely represent the actual property. I thought it looked cute and retro, but it is run down and dirty. It’s supposed to be nonsmoking (with signs about being fined) but our room reeked of smoke. We ended up sleeping in our clothes because we didn’t trust the sheets to be clean, the blanket was stained and dirty (as shown in the picture). I will give them credit that the bathroom was clean at least. We honestly would not have stayed there once we saw it, but it was late when we got in and we had to be up early and didn’t have the energy to find a new place or try to fight them for a refund. For the life of me I don’t understand how it has as high of a rating as it does. Finally, people were walking past our room and the area didn’t feel safe. Not really their fault but something to consider. We have stayed at cheap motels all of the country now, so it isn’t like we had 4 star expectations, and this is the first bad review I’ve ever left. There must be better options in Colorado Springs.

Second time I have stayed there. Inexpensive and basic. Lots of sketchy guests and a sketchy neighborhood. They do take good care of their flowers. Room fridge did not work and some of my cooler food went bad. Window had to be propped open for fresh air with a coffee cup. Would I stay again -- sure.

Area was populated with sketchy people .Dont believe the photos of the rooms especially the difference between normal room and extra . Very small . Dingy and had to clean the room myself . The lock on the door was not very secure which was concerning what with the other clientele that were staying there . Made for uncomfortable stay

If you’re into “fancy” hotels, this probably isn’t for you. But if you want to save $200-plus over a couple of nights, you would do good here. We slept hard and we’ll both nights, and had no safety concerns for selves or vehicle. Owner came right away when we couldn’t get the TV on. Super polite lady that shows her appreciation for those staying there. Keep in nind, it is a “motel” — not a “hotel.” It’s a chance to experience stays like your parents/grandparents did. Despite a couple of small things that you just deal with, it’s a value. We had things to do during the day, so we weren’t hanging out at the facility all day, nor were we counting on breakfast there. We got good, comfortable sleep without the worry of what might happen in the parking lot. That’s what we needed foremost from a place to stay. Saving almost $300 more than made up for any quirks that we ran across.

Really not a nice spot. Wasn’t expecting a lot for the price but the room smelled badly of smoke. The area is very gross with people shooting up outside. My friend and I decided to drive two hours home vs stay overnight here.
