CUBE Boutique Capsule Hotel at Kampong Glam

I arrived late around midnight. There is no elevator and no offer to help get my bags upstairs. There were a couple of pair of shoes next to my cube and shades were down so it appeared someone may be in there. I went back down to check with attendant and he assured me it was empty. I was unaware of lockers under cube so had to make noise getting my bags into the cube. I could hear someone snoring from my cube so not very sound proof at all. Bathrooms were not as clean as I would’ve preferred but I understand since they are shared. I think better support staff would have been helpful in making me feel welcomed but it was late. Definitely an experience.

This is a cube hotel, so kind of like a dormitory but you have your own cube. Given this, it’s fine - friendly staff and never a problem accessing the shared bathrooms. It would have been nice if there was a lounge, but I guess most people are out and about.

受付のスタッフの方はとても親切でした。 チェックイン時間前に荷物だけを預けようと思い訪れたら早めにチェックインをして頂けました。宿泊の部屋に関しては問題はなかったです。ちょこっとした朝食が付いていました。問題点としては、トイレが汚かった。ゴミ箱にゴミが溜まりっぱなしの状態であった。そして、2階にランドリールームがあり使用できるが、1ドルコインしか使用できない点がかなり不便であった。朝9時以降にカウンターに申し出るとコインに両替していただけるのだが、観光のスケジュール上、朝早くに出発しないといけなかった為、夜に洗濯はしたかったが、コインの両替は在庫がないと受付して頂けなかった。昼過ぎに一回ホテルに戻りコインの両替をお願いしたが、コインの在庫がなく外で両替をお願いして欲しいと言われました。外でコイン10枚も両替をお願いするのはなかなか難しいです。そのせいで、旅行ギリギリに洗濯することになり洗濯物が十分に乾きませんでした。

Although slight hiccup with power and wifi, staff was very positive and professional. Capsule room is quiet so have to keep that in mind as not to disturb other people.

Downstairs rooms are not quite soundproof as advertised. You can hear people in lobby talking in the morning.

Very clean, very quiet in cube dorm; lots of private shower rooms. Unfortunately no lounge area to just sit comfortably and chill. Adequate dining area with very small shared food prep area.

Nice location. People in kitchen who serve brekafst very nice - woman and young man. If you have hurt knee or you are older insist to sleep on down bed. Send them request in advance. Otherwise, beds are confortable. The hostel has enough bathrooms. There is no space for meeting others. It seems it is just hostel to oversleep.

Capsules were nicely sized and clean. Except other guests moving loudly, it was calm and you could not hear the outside noises. On the weekend the area outside of the hotel is super crowded and you might hear the Mosque as well. Overall there is great food around and it‘s a short walk to the next metro station (~5 min). There were three safe storage possibilities per capsule and all doors were secure as well. They also had a good amount of bathrooms, however, those were sometimes quite dirty and overall are quite used (fixtures broken, shower door missing). The washing machine and dryer cost 5$ each or in case of the dryer 1$ per 18 mins. I had some troubles with the locks, but the hotel staff were super nice and forthcoming in helping me.

Bathroom and Toilet not clean enough please put more frequency cleaning

Locatie was geweldig centraal en in gezellige straat. beheerders vriendelijk alleen het sanitair was verouderd en vaak niet echt fris, Vaak was de hele vloer volledig nat en vol haren. Cubes waren prima en comfortabel.

Sauberkeit im Bad ist katastrophal und es sind Tiere in der Kapsel, gute Privatsphäre in der Kapsel, viele Safes, sehr nettes Personal

Fine for a one night stay but not longer. Nowhere near enough showers or toilets for the amount of people - there were queues for the showers one night at 2am! The showers/toilets also weren’t cleaned frequently enough. There also wasn’t enough seats in the dining room for the breakfast so I didn’t get any. It’s a shame because the location is great and the pod itself was comfortable.

For a hostel this was excellent . There was an employee always cleaning the bathrooms , hallways etc Make sure to book a lower cube as the upper ones are high . Breakfast was good . In an excellent location , close to MRT / Queen Street bus terminal and shopping , bars and restaurants . There is a mosque within 60 feet that does prayers regularly but it didn’t bother me ..(@ sunrise {4&7 am approx and then same for sunset ) Located on a tourist street ( no vehicles ) so fun and easy . I highly recommend Cube Boutique and will stay again .

It was very clean and nice hostel, the capsule was soooo spacious, wow! Even though I got sick with aircon there but I still give this hostel 10 because it was so clean

had always wanted to stay in a pod style hotel and this did not disappoint. pod felt spacious enough with a gap at the end of the bed to place some of your things. three storage lockers provided per bed - one for shoes, one for bags, and a small one in the pod for valuables. beds very comfortable and staff extremely friendly. would happily stay here again if visiting Singapore. only thing I could say as a negative is that one of the shower rooms smelt a little funky, but I just avoided this one as much as I could

It’s good for one night, if you’re passing thru. I loved the area, cultural and buggis market and hawker stand 10 minute walk. You’re in a small space and unfortunately other guest are not considerate and will pack their bags day and night and keep there stuff in the common area. Bathrooms were never clean. They did clean the bathrooms but bc so many people are using it, it’s disgusting by the time I get in there. The place itself is nice and clean and I found breakfast, although not fancy was adequate with eggs and toast and rice and noodles.

Extremely tight space, no window in the room. Personally, I won't book this kind of room again.

I stayed 3 nights in a private room with 2 queen beds. The bed was big and comfortable. I liked the upper bunk because it felt cozy. Most of the time, there was a washroom available right away. I liked the newness of the furniture and washrooms in general. The eating area for the breakfast can get crowded.

Notre "capsule" était en hauteur, il fallait donc grimper pour y accéder. Ce n'est clairement pas pratique ni agréable. Espace exigu partagé par plusieurs personnes. Pas de place pour les gros bagages. Les personnes étaient sympas mais salles de bain partagées, il fallait parfois attendre qu'une sdb se libère. Elles étaient assez propres mais on a croisé un cafard dans la douche. Experience capsule à vivre mais pas à revivre selon nous car ce n'est pas un hôtel mais plutôt une auberge de jeunesse. Petit déjeuner basique mais satisfaisant. Et emplacement idéal car situé au coeur du quartier oriental. Personnel de réception sympathique.

The bed and the space offered was very good for a capsule hotel. Many places for storage. I did not make use of the breakfast included but it is a nice addition. There were enough shared bathrooms and they were maintained fairly often. It did get messier with increased guests but that was to be expected. The location is ideal because it was right in Arab Street with endless food options.

I stayed 5 nights and this is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I love the cube/capsule thing. Not only does it provide more privacy than a traditional bunk, but there’s actually quite a bit of room inside. Hanger with hook, towel rack, three cabinets (one folds down as a table/surface), plus floor space and a locking storage underneath. The linens were good quality, a towel and slippers were provided (no shoes in the rooms), and the bed and pillows (two pillows!!!) were extremely comfortable. As with any hostel, shared bathrooms are a challenge. Most folks use them in the morning before complementary breakfast, and the floors get pretty hairy and wet. Housekeeping seems to clean them in the afternoon, so I switched my shower schedule to evenings (perfect after a day getting drenched out in the humid heat) and was more comfortable in several ways. Management is friendly, and helpful. Staff clearly work hard at a challenging job. Despite being above a touristy street, the street noise wasn’t very audible. The prayers at the mosque were audible, but that’s just a few times during the day and I found it pleasant. Guests were generally respectful, although sometimes noisy coming in late at night, but nothing out if the ordinary- it’s not a party hostel. There were some great food options nearby I would absolutely stay surrounding the hostel, and buses in any direction to anywhere else in Singapore, and just a 9 minute walk to the nearest MRT (subway/underground) station.

Very kind and helpful staff! The cubes are clean and inside you feel your privacy. The atmosphere in the breakfast room is so cozy and I also liked it to rest there beyond breakfast time.

Nice clean rooms with friendly staff who are happy to help in any way they can. Walking distance to MRT and bus lines make getting around the city nice and easy and lots of good food options just on the door step. Definitely a good recommendation for a solo traveller or family alike.

The lockers were difficult to use. Other than that it was what I expected for a capsule hotel. Staff were friendly and professional. Good location.

I'll never stay at any Cube "hotel" again. Staff was rude and sent me to another location because they could not see my reservation until I got the Expedia agent involved, and yet they blamed and got upset of me! At the new location, 3 other staff members had little to no knowledge of the city and were generally unfriendly. Photos were deceiving. The pod door is only a plastic/fabric screen that you pull up and down, so it's very noisy and you hear everything from other guests. Upper pods are hard to access because you climb using metal bars and square metal stairs that will hurt you if you slip. Major hazard there that would be banned in other countries. There were 2 spiders in my pod. Towels smelled like mold. Shared bathrooms were a nightmare being serviced only once a day. No ventilation, miniature sinks with water splashing all over the floor, water everywhere from other guests that had showered. No paper towels or hand dryers whatsoever, so everyone was using the toilet papers that would get wet and run out quickly, and overflow the trashbins. Not enough shampoo or soap by late afternoon when you wanted to shower. Nasty bathroom smell of mold and feces because of no ventilation working. No eating or driking allowed in the pods and you had to go downstairs to the cafeteria, which had dirty tables. There was a rest area with a sofa but useless because it was too small only good for one person. Breakfast was ok but the toast machine didn't work well... Never again!

Easy access for eating out & central location

전체적으로 만족스러운 숙박이었습니다. 처음 이용해본 캡슐호텔이었는데, 잠만 잘 곳이 필요하다면 강력 추천합니다. 객실은 깔끔했고, 필요한 기본 편의시설이 잘 갖춰져 있습니다. 저는 아침 일찍 외출해 저녁 식사 전/후 숙소로 돌아오는 일정이었는데, 주변에 중동음식 맛집이 많고 마리나베이 산책도 가능해 위치적으로 만족스러웠습니다. 버스나 지하철역도 도보 5~10분 거리라 교통 접근성이 좋아 이동이 매우 편했습니다. 단기 여행자나 일정을 중심으로 움직이는 분들께 특히 추천드립니다.

The room is very clean, and the staff are very kind. There are many restaurants around the hostel, so sometimes you can hear loud voices at night. The mosque is very close, and I feel like I'm in Arabia.

Walkable to little India, china market, famous mall. Shops and restaurants right outside the property. Breakfast is awesome

ブギス駅から徒歩で７分くらい、サルタンモスクのあるブッソーラストリートにあるホテル。まわりは美味しいトルコ料理のレストランもありとても便利。 部屋はカプセルと言われるように、ベッドルームはいちど入ると予想より居心地はよいです 共用のシャワーとトイレが６室なので使用タイミングをうかかまいながら。 コインランドリーは、洗濯、乾燥それぞれ５ドル。朝9時〜夜の20時まで利用可。 朝ごはんはセルフサービス。シンガポール名物のカヤトースト、シリアル、ソーセージとトマト煮の豆、ゆで卵、自分で調理する卵焼きのフライパン、カットされたオレンジも。自分流にアレンジできるので結局毎日食べてしまいました。 またシンガポールに来るときは利用したいと思います

The location is ideal because it was right in Arab Street with endless food options.

The location is perfect if you like shops and night life. Everyone was so kind and the community was amazing. If you want to go to Marina Sands Area it will be a 20 min walk which I didn’t find bad at all

Great hostel. The bedroom has more space than I saw in the picture. There are four USB sockets. Staffs were friendly. We can have breakfast (bread, omelette, rice, cereal, and coffee for free). It takes about 10 min walk from Bugis. The location is very beautiful ( it’s in front of the mosque ). I will choose this hostel again when l go to Singapore.

Notre 1ère nuit dans une chambre de 4 avec 4 lits s'est bien passée en dehors d'une clim qui faisait énormément de bruit. Les salles de bains étaient à peu près propre lorsque nous sommes arrivés en fin de soirée et le petit déjeuner était simple mais efficace.
