Great view from rooftop only usable when the sun is low as there are no umbrellas...what a shame to pay for that important amenity and have it's use reduced. Large junior suite, breakfast room very small and offerrings were plentiful but average. Walkable to everything, reasonable value

A very healthy breakfast with muesli as well as cheese, meats, breads and delicious pastries with pistachio cream, and fresh fruit and yogurt and fresh brewed coffee. The room was spacious, modern, and bed was huge and sheets comfortable. Our room had an enclosed porch with table and chairs where we could see the street views. Quiet and comfortable. To terrace was perfect to view other islands and the ocean and just relax after a full day of sightseeing. Staff were so helpful with maps and suggestions of sights, bus schedules, and delicious restaurants nearby.

Really nice hotel and pleasant staff. A bit disorganised... rooftop breakfast ought to have been a stunner but the area is in a state of poor repair and we had to go in search of the pre ordered breakfast. I really recommend a member of staff stays as a guest! Our room lacked practicality ... you can't be eco and leave your towels on the rail if there is no rail.

Great location and very helpful staff! I enjoyed my room and the included breakfast. The only (mild) complaint was that the rooftop bar-which is beautiful-played music that I could hear in my room until around 11 on the weekends.

We booked one of the suites with a balcony hot tub and it absolutely made the last weekend of our trip. The place is so cute and central in Valletta, and the employees really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing, whether it was helping us heat up the hot tub or booking the spa, opening wine, giving directions, providing coffee when my room was being prepared, replenishing our water in the room, etc. The general manager Antoine even came to speak to us at the end of our stay and ensure everything had been great. The breakfast is in the attached cafe and has pastries, meat, cheese, hardboiled eggs, juice, and made to order coffees. There is also an amazing spa on the first floor that is free for guests, just book a time slot and you get private access to the jacuzzi and sauna in there and can bring your own drinks in, we loved it! We were there off season so rooftop bar was closed. Overall incredible stay, highly recommend.

Ah, what a lovely place to stay! Very central location — not too close to the busy tourist streets, but still an easy walk to everything. The roof terrace was fabulous. They brought breakfast up there a few times — such a great way to start the morning. The staff were very diligent, respectful, and accommodating. They made our 30th celebration truly memorable — we even extended our trip and had to change rooms for the second booking, which they handled seamlessly. Water pressure was absolutely fine — it took a moment for the water to warm up, but no issues at all.

Very nice hotel, nice location near Fort St Elmo. Rooftop bar was closed while we were there, but is an excellent vista for a drink. Well appointed rooms with Maltese balconies. I would recommend cabbing here, parking a car a definite issue.

Room was not the cleanist, breakfast buffet very minimalistic and the Hotel declares itself as Boutique Hotel, though never had the vibe of it. Staff tried the best but overall it was only ab average stay

We had a wonderful 3 night stay, hotel was perfect. Room was great. Clean and bright, bed very comfortable ,we even had a small balcony. We had breakfast on the roof top terrace, no extra charge. The continental breakfast was great with a good selection. Good location with easy walk to main centre but was also quiet at night. We will definitely be returning hopefully next year. One small issue was with the internal shower glass door which didn’t have any type of knob or handle on the inside. So my friend who is about 5 foot couldn’t reach the top of the door, so was stuck there until I opened it for her. Other than that a perfect stay all round

Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Spacious rooms & very quiet & comfortable. However, the shower didn’t drain well & water leaked out on to the bathroom floor. A little more variety for breakfast would have been great. The rooftop bar had an amazing view but the cocktails weren’t the best. Great location, I would definitely recommend & would stay here again.

Loved this boutique hotel! Clean, quiet room near the most beautiful area of Malta. Welcome air conditioning in the heat of August. Delicious breakfast. Helpful staff who packed a breakfast for us due to early departure at no additional cost. Recommend highly.

The hotel is very nice. It is an old historical building downtown La Valletta very well renovated. I liked the style of the rooms and the terrace on the top floor gives an outstanding view of the city. The only negative point is that my room only had a window facing the inner court.

There was NO view as the room only had a blocked window onto a hallway!!! This is not satisfactory and when mentioned to staff, there was no response. I had booked for 4 nights and hoped to get moved, but was told that was impossible. I think I should receive a refund for part of my stay !!!

Right in the action on Republic. Old school classy hotel that was nevertheless very comfortable thanks to the friendly staff especially Maria. Amazing bed & luxurious towels. Loved the third floor terrace & the tiny gym with a well. Just be aware the hotel is right next to the opera which can be noisy until about 11 pm if there’s a performance and a few nights of rehearsal leading up to it. May help if the windows were double or triple paned.

Our room was clean, well appointed and had a nice view of the grand harbour. The location is quiet enough but also within a 5 to 10 minute walk of anything you could want. The staff were all wonderful and took the time to make sure their guests were getting the information they required. When I reported an issue with the room to the management team after our first night they were genuinely concerned and had a maintenance team in that afternoon to rectify the issue. The rooftop patio boasts stunning views of Valletta and was a great place to have a bottle of wine. So why only four stars? The breakfast was sparse for a four star hotel - limited option and repeated each day. But the bigger issue was the hot water. We were told that it can take 7 or 8 minutes of running the water to get hot water up to the 5th floor and that they were telling the truth. You would have to run the water at least that long to get it hot, which we did not love - it felt very wasteful.

Entrance no wheelchair accessible two steps, hotel fully accessible once inside, including the roof, good size rooms walking shower. Staff amazing nothing was too much. We celebrated my wife's birthday, I pre ordered a cake and candles to surprise her, asked for it to be brought out during breakfast, staff arrived singing happy birthday, guests joined in, very special moment. Breakfast was ample, I asked for soft boiled eggs, done to perfection, not one on each day, we loved the balcony that was attached to our room, we could see the sea, views from the roof of the hotel are spectacular. Enjoy

Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage, eine sehr schöne Dachterrasse und das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut. Leider entsprach unser Zimmer nicht der Beschreibung bei hotels.com. Unsere Zimmerkategorie Superior-Doppel- oder -Zweibettzimmer soll Blick auf die Stadt haben und 22 m2 groß sein. Unser Zimmer hatte ein komplett zugeklebtes Fenster auf einen überdachten Innenhof ohne jegliches Tageslicht. Außerdem war es max. 18 m2 groß. Nach Reklamation konnte uns nur ein ebenso kleines Zimmer mit einem kleinen Fenster auf eine Mauer angeboten werden. Ansonsten war das Hotel angeblich ausgebucht. Das Personal hat nur mit einem Achselzucken reagiert. Immerhin haben wir von hotels.com einen Gutschein als Entschädigung erhalten. Die Bezeichnung "Superior" ist für dieses kleine dunkle Zimmer eine Frechheit. We had a fantastic break in Valetta but were ultimately somewhat disappointed with the hotel. The hotel itself was beautifully renovated and decorated and the rooms lovely, all very stylish. The rooftop bar is not a bar, just a roof terrace (fabulous views of Valetta!), if you want a drink up there you have to phone or WhatsApp the reception six floors below! There is no other bar! We had a couple of issues, in themselves not huge problems, just hiccups but the way they were handled was nothing short of hopeless, with barely an apology from the manager - who was the actual problem! Lovely stylish property, great location and should be better than it is.

Very nice rooms with high quality bath robes, a room safe and a really good selection of continental-style breakfast foods included. Without exception, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Archie, Sam and Angelina for their help and guidance during our visit. If we return to Valletta, we most certainly will stay at Palazzo Ignazio.

Our room was clean, well appointed and had a nice view of the grand harbour. The location is quiet enough but also within a 5 to 10 minute walk of anything you could want. The staff were all wonderful and took the time to make sure their guests were getting the information they required. When I reported an issue with the room to the management team after our first night they were genuinely concerned and had a maintenance team in that afternoon to rectify the issue. The rooftop patio boasts stunning views of Valletta and was a great place to have a bottle of wine. So why only four stars? The breakfast was sparse for a four star hotel - limited option and repeated each day. But the bigger issue was the hot water. We were told that it can take 7 or 8 minutes of running the water to get hot water up to the 5th floor and that they were telling the truth. You would have to run the water at least that long to get it hot, which we did not love - it felt very wasteful.

In the heart of old Valletta. Charming, great views from the rooftop seating area. Breakfast can be in the morning room, your hotel room, or served on the rooftop. Gita at the front desk is wonderful! She is so friendly and informative. Many dining options within 2-3 blocks, walking distance to many historical/cultural sites including St. John Co-Cathedral. A great stay!

We booked one of the suites with a balcony hot tub and it absolutely made the last weekend of our trip. The place is so cute and central in Valletta, and the employees really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing, whether it was helping us heat up the hot tub or booking the spa, opening wine, giving directions, providing coffee when my room was being prepared, replenishing our water in the room, etc. The general manager Antoine even came to speak to us at the end of our stay and ensure everything had been great. The breakfast is in the attached cafe and has pastries, meat, cheese, hardboiled eggs, juice, and made to order coffees. There is also an amazing spa on the first floor that is free for guests, just book a time slot and you get private access to the jacuzzi and sauna in there and can bring your own drinks in, we loved it! We were there off season so rooftop bar was closed. Overall incredible stay, highly recommend.

Ah, what a lovely place to stay! Very central location — not too close to the busy tourist streets, but still an easy walk to everything. The roof terrace was fabulous. They brought breakfast up there a few times — such a great way to start the morning. The staff were very diligent, respectful, and accommodating. They made our 30th celebration truly memorable — we even extended our trip and had to change rooms for the second booking, which they handled seamlessly. Water pressure was absolutely fine — it took a moment for the water to warm up, but no issues at all.

I had a great stay at Palazzo Ignacio! The location was perfect and it was easy to walk to Merchants Street, Republic Street, and the main attractions in Valletta. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, answering questions, providing a map, and arranging a taxi to the cruise port. The room was comfortable and very quiet. The rooftop terrace had amazing views and was a nice place to relax after a busy day of touring around town. We even saw fireworks on our second night! I would not hesitate to stay at the Palazzo Ignacio during my next trip to Valletta!

Right in the action on Republic. Old school classy hotel that was nevertheless very comfortable thanks to the friendly staff especially Maria. Amazing bed & luxurious towels. Loved the third floor terrace & the tiny gym with a well. Just be aware the hotel is right next to the opera which can be noisy until about 11 pm if there’s a performance and a few nights of rehearsal leading up to it. May help if the windows were double or triple paned.

Very nice hotel, nice location near Fort St Elmo. Rooftop bar was closed while we were there, but is an excellent vista for a drink. Well appointed rooms with Maltese balconies. I would recommend cabbing here, parking a car a definite issue.

A very healthy breakfast with muesli as well as cheese, meats, breads and delicious pastries with pistachio cream, and fresh fruit and yogurt and fresh brewed coffee. The room was spacious, modern, and bed was huge and sheets comfortable. Our room had an enclosed porch with table and chairs where we could see the street views. Quiet and comfortable. To terrace was perfect to view other islands and the ocean and just relax after a full day of sightseeing. Staff were so helpful with maps and suggestions of sights, bus schedules, and delicious restaurants nearby.

I was looking for a central hotel that was still somewhat affordable and glad I chose this one. My favorite part was being able to have breakfast in my room for no extra charge. That is much more comfortable than sitting in a small room solo. The staff was great for communication prior to arriving when I had flight delays. The room was comfortable overall, however the bed was one of the worst. That would not stop me from staying there again if in the city.

We had the best experience. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and cared for. The mgr Archie and staff were so friendly and accommodating! Great location, right in the heart of things but on a quiet street. The breakfasts were delicious and tailored to each person which was such a nice touch. We had the best experience. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and cared for. The mgr Archie and staff were so friendly and accommodating! Great location, right in the heart of things but on a quiet street. The breakfasts were delicious and tailored to each person which was such a nice touch. Our favorite was watching the sunset on the rooftop deck with a cocktail! Definitely will be back.

We had a lovely room with a small balcony when we stayed for 3 nights. Very well located with the main streets of Valletta literally just around the corner. We took breakfast on the roof top each morning, great start to the day. Great air-conditioning, certainly needed in August, lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water. €20 Bolt from the airport, Would recommend
