This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. The first time they charged us more than the rate we booked and the front desk manager had to fix it. This time they charged us one night prior to check in and then upon check in they charged us again for the entire stay. I tried to explain to the front desk worker that I had already been charged one night and showed him on my credit card. He said “that’s just the way it works.” When I asked if the manager was on duty he said there was no manager until Monday. We got to our room and there was no couch even though that was the room we booked. That evening around 12:30am the TV randomly turned on by itself. Then at 7:00am the automatic blinds opened on their own while we were sleeping (waking us up). The blinds then continued to open and close by themselves the rest of the weekend. When I asked the front desk if there was a way to disengage them I was told no and it might be someone in a different room opening/closing their blinds and causing ours to go up and down as well. Upon checking out, I spoke with the worker at the front desk about the over charges - he reversed it for us and said that the man working Friday night said he didn’t know anything about us getting charged for one night already (which was a blatant lie). Overall, we were not pleased with this hotel and would not recommend even though it’s close to USF and a decent rate.

We checked in early because we were going to Howl-o-Screams at Busch Gardens. Staff was great. Hotel location was on the way to park. Rooms were really nice. Will use the again in the future.
