Jan, my host was very gracious and accommodating. Parking within the city walls is very limited, but she showed me where I could park close by and gave me a pass to use. The room was indeed Victorian, furnished with Victorian-era furniture and artwork. I felt very welcome and very much “at home.”

Wonderful quiet location in historic castle borders with roof terrace adjoined to old castle walls and perfect for exploring local town and further afield. We had plenty of bars/food options nearby. The bay is beautiful and our room very comfy and clean. The room is spacious enough and well fitted with everything you need and we slept soundly. Nice clean white modern bathroom suite with good shower and space. Really fantastic fluffy towels-we couldn’t have asked for more with Jan being super hospitable and helpful about recommendations in the area.

My partner and I decided at short notice to climb Mount Snowdon on Nee Years Eve for Midnight so needed somewhere close to stay. The hotel was in a great location for this and was in a beautiful little town. Although the hotel parking spaces were full we found a cheap car park a minute walk away. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were lovely and accommodating. I’ve never been anywhere so organised and welcoming! We were shown to our lovely room with sweet amenities and shown a folder with information of the hotel, the area, recommendations, the works! The staff really went above and beyond allowing us to have a later breakfast if we needed after our climb and happy with us arriving back early hours of the morning. The breakfast was delicious and we ended up going into the little town to buy some more of the cheese we had at breakfast it was that good! The stay really felt like a home away from home so quickly and we wish we had booked to stay longer! We’re hoping to climb Mount Snowdon again and if we do we will definitely be booking to stay here again!

Jan, the owner, was extremely hospitable, giving us plenty of helpful information about the area, alternative parking places when not being able to park outside the property and how everything worked at Victoria House. Back of property attached to city wall and view of Menai Strait. Fresh milk, snacks, fridge and microwave in room, with lovely Port Merion crockery. Large lounge and dining area for guests downstairs with invitation to bring food or take aways down to eat and eating in room allowed, crockery provided. Initial room a little small and cramped, though 2 easy chairs a bonus, but were upgraded when another room was available. Felt at home.

Brilliant B & B, just a short walk into town. All staff were very friendly , and we enjoyed the cooked breakfast each morning.We liked the midday check-in, and especially the complimentary wine that was provided, which we drank watching the sunset on the terrace, at the back.[We had brilliant weather during our stay]. Very kindly washed my coat for me, at no extra charge, after it fell into the sea ! Bear in mind, there are 2 dogs that are in the property, for those who don't like dogs, but they were well behaved.

Jan made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions. The location was great as within walking distance for food and drinks. The only problem we had was car parking outside but not a mega issue as there is other parking spaces elsewhere.

I enjoyed having my own fridge in the room so I could have fresh milk. Cleanliness of the room was excellent. What I didn't like parking not the best difficult at times. I missed a cooked breakfast which would of been nice.

This is one of best independent accommodation i have stayed at. The 4 poster bedroom with sea view room is wonderful and so well equipped; the hosts have thought of everything you may need, from microwave, cutlery, fridge, water, tray of refeshments,microwave, toiletries, a multi plug power station next to the bed. The bottle of fizz was such a lovely touch after a day of walking. The building is very central, next to the castle. Had a great view of over the bay, it was so quiet, didnt even hear the other residents there, the bed very comfortable, fab shower, super fluffy towels and the room spotless. Jan the host was so helpful, even gave up her parking space out sode for me. I will definitely book again when i return to north wales.

As soon as i rang the bell and saw Jan...she made us welcome...she even moved her car so that i could park mine plus she carried my partners luggage.... The room was fantastic...it was big...it was very clean also it smelt clean....plus there was a bottle of beer plus a bottle of prosecco for kate We will be back here nxt year...thank you Jan for a lovely stay.....we will recommend your b&b anytime 😊

Highly recommend staying at this gorgeous accommodation! The bed was MASSIVE and super comfy, there was a large jacuzzi bath and the owners had thought of everything we could possibly need during our stay. Thanks so much!

We spent a delightful six nights at Victoria House. The owner, Jan, was a gracious and very helpful host. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. No breakfast was served, but there are many excellent breakfast spots within a five minute walk. And the room came with ground coffee and a French press coffee maker, plus excellent snacks. The location within the old city walls and adjacent to the sea is perfect.

Our room was so well appointed- Italian linens, authentic Port Merion china for the tea service in the room and home made Welsh cakes! This small inn is so comfortable and conveniently located in an interesting community. Highly recommended.

A fabulous experience awaits guests The property is so quaint and feels like a living museum of fantastic art and decor. The room was huge, but includes all mod concerns including a fridge and microwave which are godsends. The supermarket was just 7 minutes on foot. Wonderful host and a magical stay.

Jan, my host was very gracious and accommodating. Parking within the city walls is very limited, but she showed me where I could park close by and gave me a pass to use. The room was indeed Victorian, furnished with Victorian-era furniture and artwork. I felt very welcome and very much “at home.”

Jan is a phenomenal host. She really takes care of you and ensures you have a great stay. The wine in the fridge and the daily welsh cakes are a sweet bonus!

Jan is such a good host, when I let her know that I caught a cold on the way to her place, Jan shared her cold remedies and picked me up some lemons for Hot toddies. The jet tub was also very nice before bed. Well organized brochures for restaurants, and things to do. I really enjoyed my stay. I hope I will be able to return one day. Thank you Jan!

I really enjoyed staying at Victoria House. The house is excellent and well maintained, and Jam is a very attentive and friendly proprietor. I greatly appreciated the condition of the room, the amenities she provided, and the location of the property. I highly recommend anyone staying in Caernarfon or the surrounding area to stay at Victoria House.

Jan, the owner, was extremely hospitable, giving us plenty of helpful information about the area, alternative parking places when not being able to park outside the property and how everything worked at Victoria House. Back of property attached to city wall and view of Menai Strait. Fresh milk, snacks, fridge and microwave in room, with lovely Port Merion crockery. Large lounge and dining area for guests downstairs with invitation to bring food or take aways down to eat and eating in room allowed, crockery provided. Initial room a little small and cramped, though 2 easy chairs a bonus, but were upgraded when another room was available. Felt at home.

As soon as i rang the bell and saw Jan...she made us welcome...she even moved her car so that i could park mine plus she carried my partners luggage.... The room was fantastic...it was big...it was very clean also it smelt clean....plus there was a bottle of beer plus a bottle of prosecco for kate We will be back here nxt year...thank you Jan for a lovely stay.....we will recommend your b&b anytime 😊

The owner was very welcoming, gave great dining suggestions, and the staff were also friendly. We were in a bit of a pickle regarding laundry and they were able to remedy that! Room was large and very comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

Wonderful quiet location in historic castle borders with roof terrace adjoined to old castle walls and perfect for exploring local town and further afield. We had plenty of bars/food options nearby. The bay is beautiful and our room very comfy and clean. The room is spacious enough and well fitted with everything you need and we slept soundly. Nice clean white modern bathroom suite with good shower and space. Really fantastic fluffy towels-we couldn’t have asked for more with Jan being super hospitable and helpful about recommendations in the area.

My partner and I recently had a wonderful stay at Victoria House. We were warmly greeted by Jan and she made us feel very welcome throughout. We also loved meeting her dogs, Oscar and Honey! The room was very comfortable and the house is in a great location. We used the regular local buses to visit nearby towns and to visit Snowdon. We had a great time in Caernarfon and if we visit again, we will certainly stay at Victoria House.

This is one of best independent accommodation i have stayed at. The 4 poster bedroom with sea view room is wonderful and so well equipped; the hosts have thought of everything you may need, from microwave, cutlery, fridge, water, tray of refeshments,microwave, toiletries, a multi plug power station next to the bed. The bottle of fizz was such a lovely touch after a day of walking. The building is very central, next to the castle. Had a great view of over the bay, it was so quiet, didnt even hear the other residents there, the bed very comfortable, fab shower, super fluffy towels and the room spotless. Jan the host was so helpful, even gave up her parking space out sode for me. I will definitely book again when i return to north wales.

Bed super comfy, room and bathroom very clean and loved the extra bathroom touches with the make up wipes and shampoo. We loved our drinks on arrival. Jan made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions. The location was great as within walking distance for food and drinks. The only problem we had was car parking outside but not a mega issue as there is other parking spaces elsewhere.

Jan is a fantastic host, with a warm welcome that makes you genuinely feel like nothing is too much effort Lovely large room with huge comfy bed & all mod cons. Fabulous breakfast choice & beautifully cooked. Special mention to Oscar who is extremely friendly & welcoming. Thoroughly recommend.

Jan and her staff were so friendly and beyond helpful. The Victoria House is within the castle walls, so it's a quick walk everywhere. Breakfast is not served on site, however, Jan will make reservations at a nearby restaurant at a discounted price. She also kept topping up our tea, hot chocolate, Welsh Cakes, etc. There was a small fridge and microwave in our room, which was very convenient. The bed was so comfortable and the room was a very good size. We highly recommend booking in here! We had a wonderful stay!

Brilliant B & B, just a short walk into town. All staff were very friendly , and we enjoyed the cooked breakfast each morning.We liked the midday check-in, and especially the complimentary wine that was provided, which we drank watching the sunset on the terrace, at the back.[We had brilliant weather during our stay]. Very kindly washed my coat for me, at no extra charge, after it fell into the sea ! Bear in mind, there are 2 dogs that are in the property, for those who don't like dogs, but they were well behaved.

I enjoyed having my own fridge in the room so I could have fresh milk. Cleanliness of the room was excellent. What I didn't like parking not the best difficult at times. I missed a cooked breakfast which would of been nice.

I have to say my wife and I do a fair bit of travelling, so we get to see lots of hotels, B&Bs, private hirings etc. so, I can assure you that our appraisal is fair and honest. Firstly, if you want to be welcomed with a big friendly smile, then stay here. If you want an immaculate room with a comfortable bed, plenty of tea, coffee, milk and even a couple of bottles of water in the fridge, then stay here. It’s not just about having the normal things that hotels provide you. It means a great deal more when the owner (Jan) adds those extra touches that you don’t expect, but they mean a great deal when they’re there. We were fortunate to have a couple of chocolate biscuits, cheesy crackers and some complimentary wine in our fridge, I think that’s brilliant, something that doesn’t need to be done, however, it’s great when someone adds those touches, to make you feel welcome. Victoria House is situated on a quiet street in a perfect location if you want to tour the area; we found parking on the street outside easy so no great concerns there. There are ‘45min limited stay’ signs dotted down the street, however, if you’re staying with Jan then you get issued a pass for 24hrs to place on your dash, this can be renewed every day if you’re there for longer. I suppose I could write considerably more about this great little place with amazing hosts, but I feel all the other 5 star rating pretty much cover all bases, so would I stay here again…ABSOLUTELY, would I recommend it to others,
