Unfortunately I had a unsatisfactory check in. I was checked in a room which was quite smelly, and next to the gym that was a little noisy. I requested a change of room but was offered a room which was not similar to what I had booked. I was told the hotel was all sold out and expected I would just accept what they had available. It was a little pointless to speak to the staff and I had requested to speak to his Line manager. At this time he introduced me another person who I later discovered was the chief concierge. All this happened whilst the director of room was standing beside and never offered to help. It was only when I requested all three persons name cards I had discovered this and the director of room very quickly offered to help. I quickly got a room based on my booking. All this drama, passing the hot potato around, only for the issue to be resolved. A long apology, but by then you feel you are a guest of a hotel which staff do not want to help. Poor poor behaviour to be honest.
