The Bell & Stuart House

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral in Stow on the Wold und hat neben dem Pub noch ein Gästehaus namens "Stuart House", in welchem wir untergebracht waren. Leider ist dieses relativ schwierig zu finden, da es keine Adresse gibt. Das Häuschen ist sehr alt und die Decken somit sehr niedrig, der Boden und die Wände schief und das Treppenhaus wirklich schmal. Für uns war das kein Problem, aber vorab vielleicht gut zu wissen.

Das Haupthaus hat nur 5 Zimmer, wir wurden die Straße weiter oben in einem anderen Haus untergebracht. Schönes Zimmer, wenn es auch hier und da etwas sauberer hätte sein dürfen. Haben uns aber wohl gefühlt. Sehr nettes Personal.

The Bell is nice but our room was in a different house and quite a walk from the pub. That was not disclosed in my booking. The room did not have a safe and the door was not fireproof, the light from the hallway came both over and under the door. Old and quirky indeed. The decor was cute and the mini bar well stocked. The breakfast was excellent and I recommend the lamb for dinner. The service is good, would have stayed for a drink at the bar if my room hadn’t been so far away.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. The room was good, can tell it's an old building as the floor was not level, which effected the bed, but was still okay. The amenities were good, our coffee machine wasnt working, but when i saw one of th The hotel has very little parking, enough for 5/6 cars, however there is a public car park right next to the hotel, which is free for an overnight stay. Check in was smooth.
