It's an old motel that shows its age, but for the most part the room was kept fairly clean. The pillows were flat and only 2 per queen bed. Even using both pillows it felt like I was resting my head on a board. The sink and surrounding countertop is about 6 inches higher than standard height, so if you need wheelchair accessibility, then forget it. However, the carpet and bed linens were surprisingly clean and unstained, an increasing rarity in today's lodgings. In the late afternoon on a Saturday it was very noisy outside with loud vehicles, loud music, and dope smoking in the parking lot, but it quieted down considerably as the sun set, making it a peaceful night. The price of a room was very high for what you get, but what was available in the surrounding area was twice the price, so it is what it is. There is no breakfast served, but you are very near to fast or slow food dining.

When you pay extra for a 3rd person why dont you have towels enough for 3? I had to go get more for our use. No elevator. Room interior repairs were poor quality. Painting, walls with damage, toilet seat needs replaced.

The sign out front says “squeaky clean”. Not even close. Nails in the wall where art used to be. The shower curtain was stained with red splatters, the fan had hair and mold coming out, the sink had Soap and toothpaste from previous guests, the microwave sounded like a cat stuck in a blender…a LOUD cat. The freezer was so frosted, couldn’t even put a water bottle in. The listing said breakfast, no breakfast. The listing said wifi. There was a wifi, but not one of our phones (android and iPhone) could connect. No chairs in the room, no table either no chain or latch lock. Drywall patches unpainted. Chunks of paint missing where tv used to be. The parking lot and sidewalks were solid ice. No telephone in room. Carpet and walls were filthy. Literally, sticky drips on the walls in several places. The heater was very loud. The windows looked new and were really nice.

Location and budget friendly. Outside is deplorable. Room is clean but EXTREMELY outdated. Management is less than cordial. Office is very uninviting. Price was great but, condition was sorely lacking in amenities and upgrades. If budget is your goal, you'll probably be pleased.

Unbeknownst to us this motel is a long-term rental motel. Expedia should emphasize that fact. A strong marijuana odor drifted across the parking lot. We were told no smoking in the room, but the room reeked of stale and new cigarette smoke. The microwave was absolutely filthy and the coffee pot was on when we arrived. If we had not checked in when we did it very likely would have caused a fire. The motel itself is dirty and grungy. We will not stay there again.

It was a trip back to the seventies. Coffee pot had burnt coffee in it and when i left it outit wasn't cleaned, just placed back in the holder. The drawers were not clean. The heater started and stopped every 2 minutes and blow right on the beds. All four pillows were different. People were very noisy fighting until 11:00pm every night.

We arrived 10 minutes before the front desk was scheduled to close, due to weather and traffic conditions. We received a friendly and enthusiastic welcome. The room was clean and inviting. All was good for a one-night, economy stay.

This is an older hotel and I knew that when I booked 2 rooms for my sisters and myself. The rooms were clean and sufficiently stocked with towels, soap, cups, etc. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were thin and soft but I'm very particular about my pillow so I brought my own. If possible, I always bring my own pillow because I like one that is quite firm. If I'm in the area again, I would most definitely stay here again.

The room was way nicer than expected for the price. The room was large, clean, and it had a large tv. Many budget options skimp on the tv size. Everything was clean and worked as expected. I have stayed in rooms double the price that were way worse. Would definitely recommend.

Motel was fine for an inexpensive 1 night stay. Not fancy by any means, but seemed clean, and location very convenient to downtown Gaylord. The mattress and pillows were not great quality. I did like that rooms have a mini-fridge (used it) and microwave (did not use this trip).

First there was no breakfast in the morning, which was advertised. I was told they just dropped it. This unit was in a remodel stage. Rust spots in the bathroom tub. Smell, two times we had to take out the trash and ask to clean towels. The personal who was responsible for cleaning the room, just didn't show up sometimes. I was told she was very unreliable. No telephone. The manager wasn't their majority the time. Mold mildew. Worst place we ever stayed. We wish, we could have got our money back and went someplace else. The last day we were there, we left sick, from the smell and odors. Sad and unpleasant place. Loud noisy throughout the night. Drunks and maybe drug dealers.

Staff was not friendly. We asked for an extra coffee packet and after the staff rummaged through several drawers said the housecleaning personnel handled the coffee packets. Very lame. As it turned out it didn't matter too much....the coffee pot was discusting. The unit was marginally clean with towell and closet fixtures falling out of the wall. That explains the absence of clothes hangers. We wanted the downtown location and price was desirable. We would stay again but our expectations are quite low.

That explains the absence of clothes hangers. We wanted the downtown location and price was desirable. We would stay again but our expectations are quite low.

Basic basic. No frills we don't want, need, or use. Just a pleasant check-in; pleasant, clean room; and enough space to move around without bumping into unnecessary furniture. A good night's sleep.

The price was the only thing we liked. I didn't know it is a 2 story bldg. it does not look that way in the picture cause i would have asked for a bottom floor room as my wife and sister are disabled, the breakfast they say they have ended up being cereal and milk no bagels or fruit as they told me, only gave us 4 pillows for 3 people and argued when i asked for 2 more ended up giving us 1 more pillow. We survived it though, would not use them again.

Front staff on check in was kind and even made a joke when i said it was just me. Her reply was "so three then, me,myself and i?" I thought that was super cute. Walking sistamce to downtown where there was music, food and stores. I asked for a 2nd story room furthest from the busy road and thats exactlt what i got, so that was perfect! Its a dated building, but the room was pleasant and clean and the price was perfect.

When you pay extra for a 3rd person why dont you have towels enough for 3? I had to go get more for our use. No elevator. Room interior repairs were poor quality. Painting, walls with damage, toilet seat needs replaced.

We arrived 10 minutes before the front desk was scheduled to close, due to weather and traffic conditions. We received a friendly and enthusiastic welcome. The room was clean and inviting. All was good for a one-night, economy stay.

Location and budget friendly. Outside is deplorable. Room is clean but EXTREMELY outdated. Management is less than cordial. Office is very uninviting. Price was great but, condition was sorely lacking in amenities and upgrades. If budget is your goal, you'll probably be pleased.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located in downtown Gaylord. Many restaurants within walking distance. It's an older motel, but it was adequate for our night's stay. Some of the bathroom fixtures were newer.

My room appeared to be recently renovated and very clean. Breakfast is nothing more than coffee, cereal and bagels. Only one step above nothing at all. For the price, a decent place to stay for 1 or 2 nights.

This is the second time we stayed here. The hotel is nothing fancy, but it totally fits what we were looking for. Clean room and clean sheets ! It is located in downtown, therefore it is easy to get to all the excitement of downtown and not have to worry about driving if you like to indulge in the various alcoholic offerings that are available. It is an extremely fun area with a ton of places to visit.
This is the second time we stayed here. The hotel is nothing fancy, but it totally fits what we were looking for. Clean room and clean sheets ! It is located in downtown, therefore it is easy to get to all the excitement of downtown and not have to worry about driving if you like to indulge in the various alcoholic offerings that are available. Motel was fine for an inexpensive 1 night stay. Not fancy by any means, but seemed clean, and location very convenient to downtown Gaylord. The mattress and pillows were not great quality. I did like that rooms have a mini-fridge (used it) and microwave (did not use this trip).

The best feature of the motel is the low cost. The mattress was passable, but bring your own pillow if possible. Have low expectations and you will be satisfied. I saw no evidence of the claimed continental breakfast.

First there was no breakfast in the morning, which was advertised. I was told they just dropped it. This unit was in a remodel stage. Rust spots in the bathroom tub. Smell, two times we had to take out the trash and ask to clean towels. The personal who was responsible for cleaning the room, just didn't show up sometimes. I was told she was very unreliable. No telephone. The manager wasn't their majority the time. Mold mildew. Worst place we ever stayed. We wish, we could have got our money back and went someplace else. The last day we were there, we left sick, from the smell and odors. Sad and unpleasant place. Loud noisy throughout the night. Drunks and maybe drug dealers.

It's an old motel that shows its age, but for the most part the room was kept fairly clean. The pillows were flat and only 2 per queen bed. Even using both pillows it felt like I was resting my head on a board. The sink and surrounding countertop is about 6 inches higher than standard height, so if you need wheelchair accessibility, then forget it. However, the carpet and bed linens were surprisingly clean and unstained, an increasing rarity in today's lodgings. In the late afternoon on a Saturday it was very noisy outside with loud vehicles, loud music, and dope smoking in the parking lot, but it quieted down considerably as the sun set, making it a peaceful night. The price of a room was very high for what you get, but what was available in the surrounding area was twice the price, so it is what it is. There is no breakfast served, but you are very near to fast or slow food dining.

The sign out front says “squeaky clean”. Not even close. Nails in the wall where art used to be. The shower curtain was stained with red splatters, the fan had hair and mold coming out, the sink had Soap and toothpaste from previous guests, the microwave sounded like a cat stuck in a blender…a LOUD cat. The freezer was so frosted, couldn’t even put a water bottle in. The listing said breakfast, no breakfast. The listing said wifi. There was a wifi, but not one of our phones (android and iPhone) could connect. No chairs in the room, no table either no chain or latch lock. Drywall patches unpainted. Chunks of paint missing where tv used to be. The parking lot and sidewalks were solid ice. No telephone in room. Carpet and walls were filthy. Literally, sticky drips on the walls in several places. The heater was very loud. The windows looked new and were really nice.

I have a difficult time understanding an Indian accent. Even worse when person is behind glass and difficult to even hear. No breakfast until 7am is unacceptable. Many people staying here are working. Not really a vacation type hotel. Many will leave before 7am. Maybe that is done intentionally to save a little food. Doesn’t seem like it would take much effort to put out a continental breakfast at 6am. Thin walls. Easy to hear neighbors.

Older roadside motel. Decently maintained, clean, and quiet. Staff at check-in (my only interaction) was polite, efficient and helpful. Just needed a room for the night on way to UP and this fit the bill nicely.

Very straightforward check-in process. The room and bed were clean. The walls are a bit thin, so noise carried through and it took me a while to fall asleep. However, considering the price, I was very happy with my stay and would highly recommend this place.

This hotel is right downtown. There is even a restaurant right next door that you can walk to. We stay here a lot when we come to Gaylord. It is inexpensive and the bed is comfortable. The staff are very nice too.
