So a fun hotel! Great bar, great cocktails. Short walk to downtown for good restaurants. Lots of charm unlike the big box hotels in Ithaca!

Beautiful property and hotel, excellent location, wonderful staff… The vibe of the hotel, bar and warehouse is super eclectic and cool. Walking distance to so many things and easy in and out with the parking. We will definitely be back for another stay here. Thank you to everyone!

Loved this hotel for the price, decor and access to downtown Iticha. The The tv was also very nice and had access to all of the apps with a good sound system. The live jazz on Wednesday is also a plus. Another nice thing is the coffee maker. All in all this hotel is one of the best I have stayed in.

Stayed 2 nights in June. Beautiful building in a great location. Staff was helpful and amazing. Patio space is a cool place to hang out in the evenings and coffee here is great. Definitely recommend.

A lovely property. Wonderful public spaces, large lovely rooms. Really a lot of character. Nice focus on sustainability - recycling, real glass and no plastic anywhere. On-site parking. Just steps to downtown and restaurants. Two points to note. First, the Argos has a very lively and charming bar. The ambiance and drinks are excellent, but the noise levels can be high in the rooms, until closing time at 10:00 am. Second, while there is excellent coffee and tea available 24/7 (a very fancy Jura machine that makes excellent cappuccinos), there is no breakfast. Plenty of places to walk to, but nothing on-site.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The furnishings and fixtures were tasteful and functional. We especially appreciated the heated floors and the versatile shower hardware. Having the bar downstairs was fun and convenient. It was an intimate yet lively space. There would sometimes be a live band performing and it was nice being able to sit and listen in cozy sofas and armchairs. The bartenders served up some interesting and tasty drink options, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. The staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the solarium room and the self-serve coffee machine. It was a delight being able to choose from a variety of options, including cappuccino, cafe macchiato, cafe latte, and espresso, all at the push of a button. They even provided teas and orange choice in small mini fridge next to the coffe maker. Every morning, we’d walk to the local deli down the street and pick up some breakfast items to take back and enjoy with our coffee and juice in the solarium, before we’d head off on our adventures for the day. The inn was conveniently located close to downtown and Ithaca Commons, so we rarely had to drive anywhere, except to visit the many state parks and wineries in the area. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend The Argos Inn to anyone coming out to Ithaca and the Cayuga/Seneca Lake area

Stayed one night at Argos Inn during my first visit to Ithaca. Positives: very cool quirky decor in a historic building. The renovation was completed with high quality materials and thoughtful touches like the solarium self-serve coffee bar. Room was very clean! there is a lot with free parking. Negatives: I was assigned a room on the first floor, and it was extremely loud. This included bar noise during operation and dishwashing, guests in hallway, and all noise from guests beside and above me (coughing, walking, etc.) this is probably due to thin walls but also doesn’t help that the room door has a gap. Peacock room did not have a mini-fridge unfortunately. I would stay at Argos again, if guaranteed different room in a quieter location. I did relay this to the desk on checkout, and they recommend room 303 as the quietest.

It was clean and quiet. Newer air conditioners was efficient and not too noisy. There should be mini fridges in each room. The desk clerk could have been a little more helpful/knowledgeable for directions, etc.

This property did not meet expectations for a few reasons: 1) the hotel felt more like a “bar with rooms upstairs” than a “hotel with a bar”. While the bar closed at 10:00PM…there was loud talking and laughing until near 10:45PM. 2) the room was quite small with barely enough room to open suitcases and maneuver. 3). The grounds were muddy and not impressive…including an unpaved parking lot. 4) Lastly, while the room was clean, my wife found the pillow to be too firm and not sleep-worthy.

Interesting place! Old world charm with trendy decor and drink menu. A couple quirky room things (light bulb out, remote wouldn't turn TV on) and felt the hall door to overnight guest area should have been locked during bar hours. Also wish bartenders were able to make off-menu drinks (espresso available in solarium, martini on the menu, but can't make espresso martinis???). Staff was friendly and responsive. Walkable to Ithaca Commons. Overall, a great option when staying in Ithaca!

Staff and service were first-rate. The bar on the first floor was convenient and cozy. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Staff made every effort to accommodate requests. There is no elevator, but front staircase is solid, has a good bannister, and is not too steep; for most, it can be navigated without too much effort. Outdoor yard at hotel and next door event area can use landscaping and trimming, and due to current road construction in the area, getting in and out of the parking lot sometimes requires maneuvering. However, parking is right outside the door, and there is a nice lighted area on the patio and in the back for enjoying drinks and conversation. This is an older property that is generally well-maintained and offers plenty of amenities like complimentary coffee, tea, cocoa and goodies - and a microwave - always available in the solarium on the first floor, and freshly-picked flowers every day. It is immaculately clean and retains an old-world charm that makes staying there a pleasure. In addition, it is within walking distance to shopping, entertainment, and a wide variety of dining choices. It is near waterfalls, gorges, museums and colleges, with nearby Cornell University offering a gorgeous arboretum and well-maintained botanical garden as part of its horticultural program. There was more to do than could ever be done, and we loved it all! Argos has become an old friend, and we hope we can return before long!

One of the best Boutique hotels i ever stayed at, Very clean, beautiful rooms with a personal touch, excellent personable staff, and the specialty drinks they created were absolutely perfect. Will definitely stay here again.

It's absolutely a hidden gem. The front desk employees are very friendly. The building is a beautiful historic building with high-end touches everywhere. The rooms are renovated and spacious. The beds are super comfortable. There is a very cozy bar on the premises. The beautiful breakfast room serves delicious coffee and snacks. Would love to return.

The Inn itself was amazing! We loved the unique decor, we had a great time enjoying the bar outside at night and then had a quiet cup of coffee in the beautiful, sunny sunroom in the morning. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the bed, which we both found uncomfortable; the mattress was quite stiff and the pillows were small and not supportive. But other than the bed we loved everything and would stay again (but would choose a different room and hope for a better bed)!

Loved this hotel for the price, decor and access to downtown Iticha. The The tv was also very nice and had access to all of the apps with a good sound system. The live jazz on Wednesday is also a plus. Another nice thing is the coffee maker. All in all this hotel is one of the best I have stayed in.

If you hope to sleep before 10:30 PM be advised that the bar "for guests" is not just for hotel guests. It is very noisy until the very public bar shuts down. Quiet hours were stated in the in-room guide and seemed to be enforced. But full disclosre ahead of booking would have been nice.

I really want to love Argos. Truly a wonderful concept. Visited last year and had a lovely stay so decided to repeat it. It was noisy. Partially from thumping music from next door, possibly. Partially from an inconsiderate group of people who were having a very loud conversation outside after 1am that went on for about an hour. The next morning, while enjoying coffee in the sunroom, I heard the laugh that I heard in the very early morning from outside. Turns out that it was an employee. How disappointing . They should know better than to be that disruptive.

The Argos was built during the civil and it feels historical from the street. The Inn is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Danielle at the front desk was instrumental in helping us find some breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that were superb. She was always interested in what we had seen and done each day which made it feel like coming home. The backyard outdoor bar is amazing and the Wednesday Night Jazz Trio was excellent. They paired very well with the pizza that we purchased from the truck on site. Great hotel, a little quirky, but well worth the stay!

The hotel is cool! Artsy cool vibes which we loved. Service at the front desk was good but when we went to the bar on the rooftop it was HORRIBLE! The guy behind the bar looked like he didn't want to be there at all and couldn't even give a little smile. I waited to be served at my table which was dirtyand asked if it was possible to please have it cleaned and he replied that i could sit elsewhere because they were understaffed (which they clearly weren't) i had to go to the bar and ask for my drink because no one was serving us. I also had a hard time joining someone at the reception by phone.... took a bunch of tries to ask them about the air conditioning that wasn't working properly. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend.

The Argos Inn was a big disappointment, as was the town of Ithaca. The man that greeted us at check-in had no sense of hospitality and seemed totally blasé; that put a damper on our stay. The room, vastly overpriced, was small and noisy, due to the loud patrons from the downstairs bar and the lack of soundproofing. Overall, the inn lacks charm and character, and has zero amenities. It parallels the center of the town unfortunately and a sense of urban decay floats in the air. Don't waste your time and money...

As you might expect from a boutique hotel, the staff was extremely gracious, cordial, and helpful. Our room was one of the smaller ones but just right for a two-night stay; nicely appointed, updated, and attractive. One of the best features is a room adjacent to check-in with a large table and a top of the line Jura coffee and espresso machine. I could have stayed there all day. Five minutes away from a nice shopping area with interesting shops and second-hand bookstores.

The Argos Inn was a wonderful stay. The rooms are comfortable and homey and the lobby bar was a great space to hang out. We also had drinks in their Warehouse bar space across the parking lot which was a lot of fun. Its all in easy walking distance to the Commons -- would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Such a beautiful property. The outside bar with specialty cocktails was a nice touch. The morning, coffee and espresso bar in the sunroom were exactly what I needed! So quaint and charming. I would definitely go back. Walls are thin. Rooms can be a little noisy.

A lovely property. Wonderful public spaces, large lovely rooms. Really a lot of character. Nice focus on sustainability - recycling, real glass and no plastic anywhere. On-site parking. Just steps to downtown and restaurants. Two points to note. First, the Argos has a very lively and charming bar. The ambiance and drinks are excellent, but the noise levels can be high in the rooms, until closing time at 10:00 am. Second, while there is excellent coffee and tea available 24/7 (a very fancy Jura machine that makes excellent cappuccinos), there is no breakfast. Plenty of places to walk to, but nothing on-site.

Having the bar downstairs was fun and convenient. It was an intimate yet lively space. There would sometimes be a live band performing and it was nice being able to sit and listen in cozy sofas and armchairs. The bartenders served up some interesting and tasty drink options, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. The staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the solarium room and the self-serve coffee machine. It was a delight being able to choose from a variety of options, including cappuccino, cafe macchiato, cafe latte, and espresso, all at the push of a button. They even provided teas and orange choice in small mini fridge next to the coffe maker. Every morning, we’d walk to the local deli down the street and pick up some breakfast items to take back and enjoy with our coffee and juice in the solarium, before we’d head off on our adventures for the day. The inn was conveniently located close to downtown and Ithaca Commons, so we rarely had to drive anywhere, except to visit the many state parks and wineries in the area. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend The Argos Inn to anyone coming out to Ithaca and the Cayuga/Seneca Lake area

The staff was incredibly helpful when I booked the wrong date and need to change my reservation, the hotel is full of charm and thoughtfully added amenities and decor. Every detail was thought through with the highest level of execution, and the effect was one of comfort and elegance. I highly recommend staying here if you have the chance.

Unique, modern-historic, safe, convenient, and well-appointed inn. I’ve stayed here in two separate occasions and can’t wait for my next trip. My son plays lax at Cortland and this is my go-to accommodation. Staying at Argos makes the 30 minute drive to Cortland worth it. Lastly, there are several places to sit, read a book, play a game, or sip a craft cocktail right on site. Lovely!
