The Cobble Beach Hotel- Phi Phi Island

Smelly outhouse smelling rooms, cockroaches in rooms, leaky windows and doors, couldn’t cool down the rooms. Our linen was stained and when asked to replace the bedding, it was replaced with another set of stained sheets. This place is only worth 30 dollars a night at most. Staff is friendly, breakfast was great, and the pool view is spectacular.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cobble Beach, the pool view alone is absolutely incredible and the bungalows are perfectly situated on the hill (be prepared for the walking up and down!). There are a couple of maintenance bits that are letting it down, e.g. 2 broken sunbeds, broken toilet seat and faulty flush, toilets next to the pool aren’t great. The walls are also pretty thin but this didn’t affect us at all and we weren’t disturbed by the noise from the town. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the town which we thought was ideal to not be disturbed. But the host is absolutely lovely and couldn’t have done more for us, and the breakfast was a bonus. Would be nice to have a bar there for the sunset but there’s a shop opposite offering a laundry service and plenty of bars on the walk into town so can’t complain! They also have the cutest corgi dog ever. Overall we had a fantastic stay in Phi Phi and would highly recommend, thanks so much!

Most amazing hospitality!! I don’t remember the lady’s name .. but wow… she went above and beyond!! So sweet and nice!! The room was nice, the hotels ground are beautiful and the pool and the view were amazing!! There was a lot of walking and stairs involved with staying here, so if you aren’t a fit person this probably isn’t the best choice… otherwise it was a lovely stay!! Would definitely return!!

Amazing pool view, small walk to the centrum, but good location if you want it quiet and cool during day time. 10 min walk if you want nightlife and shopping

Couldn’t fault this hotel except for the short walk up hill but well worth it for the stunning view and infinity pool. Previous negative reviews baffle me. Would definitely stay again. Snazzy the owner was incredibly helpful. She organised a long tail boat to collect us from the small beach at the hotel and happy to deliver beers and ice as necessary. What more could you want!

Hotellet ligger på en bjergside med udsigt over strand og vand. Jeg boede i en træhytte, der var spartansk indrettet, men med det mest nødvendige. Der var stor seng, aircondition, satellit kanaler på tv’et, eget bad og toilet, “pengeskab” samt rengøring og skift af sengetøj og håndklæder hver dag. Morgenmaden bliver serveret med udsigt over den lille pool og med et vue ud over vandet. Alle er søde og rare. Hvis noget mangler så bliver det ordnet med det samme. Wifi’en funger upåklageligt. For at komme til hotellet skal man op ad en stejl bjergsti, heldigvis bliver man hentet på havnen og bragt tilbage og ens kuffert bliver børn i en skubbevogn. Det lille hotel ligger i kuperet niveau. Det eneste minus er at der om aftenen kan høres høj musik nede fra stranden… det sluttet kl 02.00. Ellers et dejligt sted på en smuk ø.

We had a good time at Cobble. We were greeted with a smile and met some really nice fellow travelers. Room was basic but all we needed. Pool was clean with great views over the ocean. Great breakfast. The stairs were an issue but kept us fit ! After reading some reviews we were hesitant to stay there but it was fine.......we are on an island......go with the flow, the people you meet can make all the difference. Thanks Cobble and fellow travelers.

Great hotel with an amazing view! The hotel has a lot of stairs uphill but we got great help with our luggage from the pier to the hotel and back. A bit noisy since it’s a party-island, bring earplugs. Amazing staff and cute corgi!

Väldigt härlig ägare, vi blev uppgraderade sista natten från vårat rum på vån 2 till ett finare rum med balkong och utsikt över hela viken på vån 3, otroligt fint och snällt. Sängarna var okej, rummen var okej men det är otroligt dåligt ljudisolerat. Man hör musik från festen i centrum som om man vore där. Detta är antagligen något som gäller de flesta hotell på ön men det var något av en chock att det kunde höras så väl. Ljudisoleringen mellan rummen var inte heller så bra, hörde typ om någon prasslade med en chipspåse i grannrummet. Frukosten var bra för att vara buffé-variant, fanns lite av varje men passade inte riktigt mig i smaken. Personalen möter vid färjan och lägger väskorna på en vagn och tar dem till hotellet, samma när man skall därifrån, otroligt trevlig service då det är en liten bit att gå. Poolen är superfin med utsikt över viken, en för eller eftermiddag där rekommenderas! Överlag hade vi en bra upplevelse men glöm inte öronproppar!

Ingen varmt vand, mug på badeværelset, ingen senge lampe, svingende strøm og meget lille udvalg til morgenmaden. På ingen måde 3 stjernet hotel, nærmere hostel. Meget larm fra fest på stranden, høj musik til kl. 03.00.

We BOOKED our Stay at the cobble Beach from the 10th to the 14th december. But we already left our Stay the next morning. I want to start of by saying that the staff and people are very nice and polite and help you with the luggage. However, the placement is not far, But up a hill and the place smells litterally like human feceece. There are a lot of bugs/centipides, coackroaches. The room did not live up to the pictures - it was very old, dirty and dusty. I felt like there was small bugs on me all the time… the bedding felt used / or just damped and not clean. There was no bedsheet on the blanket. It was a sheet - the blanket - and agian a sheet. So while u Where sleeping u would touch the blanket (as many other people have!!). The noise and loudness… it was so bad. I woke up multiple times that night of animals screaming, i could hear every footstep, every Word, the staff sweeping the Ground outside, it was really bad. The toilet there was no soap at the sink and all of the sudden there was no water - when the water came back it was litterally Brown / orange. I would not reccommed this hotel because of the hygienge and it did not live up to the pictures… we left and lost out Money.

The room was basically a garden shed, hot as hell even with the aircon and gaps big enough for the wildlife to fit through! The bathroom was dingy, as the light was inoperative & the water come out of the tap a light brown colour. Going to sleeping was another story, the bed resembled a formed slab of concrete with the pillow being as much use as a chocolate teapot! Then the real shock, we came back to the room around 2300hrs, the nightclub just down the road I thought had moved into the resort. The whole cabin shaking with every bass note & the words of each song clearly distinguishable, this went on until just after 0430! We booked for 2 nights but checked out after the first night, we were actually trying to find somewhere else the first night but being so late was unable to find anything. If you don’t mind being in a sweat box with dirty water and clubbing until everything shuts then this is the place for you. If not save yourself the headache and look elsewhere!

Son emplacement est loin d'etre ideal... il est excentré de centre (20 min a pied) mais surtout il donne sur la baie des boites de nuit, donc vous profitez de la musique comme si vous y etiez jusqu'a 3h du mat! L'insonorisation extérieur, c'est une chose, mais alors entre les chambres, c'est pire! Nous sommes tombé avec un voisin "ronfleur" ... une horreur, nuit blanche! On entend tout!!!! Le confort est assez spartiate, l'evacuation du lavabo est un simple tuyau qui s'ecoule... dehors dans la nature. L'eau des toilettes n'est pas traitée... donc elle est beige /marron, c'est particulier...Quelques points positifs tout de meme: le petit dejeuner est copieux, la piscine a debordement avec vue sur la baie et surtout la gentillesse du personnel (nous n"avions pas d'eau chaude le premier soir, ils ont changé le boitier qui chauffe dans la journée, et pour les ronflement, la patronne nous a proposé tout de suite de changé de chambre...avant de verifier et de nous dire avec un sourire complice qu'on pouvait la garder car "les voisins bruyant s'en vont aujourd'hui ".

Terrible all over the board, i might even call my credit card company for a full refund as the water was pure brown, i got so sick i had to go to the clinic, the bathroom did not work what so ever, the toilet would not flush, there was puke and human fieces all over the bathroom, they would not provide toilet paper , i literally had to beg at the front dest for some while literally going to the bathroom in my pants while asking. The shower did not work at all, i could not shower , and to wash your hands there was no soap, only cold water 3 different times a day for 5 min intervals with brown muddy water, Total waste of cash

Chambre très sombre dans un couloir, à des années lumières des photos proposées sur le site. Impossible de dormir, les voisins squattent devant les chambres en rentrant de leur soirée. Conseil ne vous baissez pas pour regarder sous le lit, entre poussière et boule quies oubliés c’est catastrophique !! Trop cher payé pour cet hôtel, grand regret !

La piscine est vraiment bien placer, belle vue de coucher de soleil et ce que j’ai pas vraiment plus c’est des petits fourmis partout dans la chambre

sheets were stained, water broke and wouldn't turn on for over half the time. no soap. honestly disgusting room.

Personal very friendly !! La música de show de fuegos llega hasta el hotel muy fuerte todas las noches, si tienen sueño liviano no lo recomiendo.. en cuanto a limpieza muy pobre también, los espejos estaban sucios, lavamanos también.

The room looked nothing like advertised in the photos. My doors and windows had cracks everywhere allowing bugs to come in. My room was also beside a home and staff quarters where I could hear them all the time. I only stayed 1 of the 2 nights and opted to stay elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Pay the extra and stay in town at a nice place

Is ok for sleep one night. You can hear everything around. Breakfast was ok with good sea view. If you want a peaceful place for sleep this not the place. But is ok if you are in party mode and need a shower and where to rest a little.

Unless you go to the beach party till 4am everyday you are bombarded by the music in your room till it ends, walls are paper thin. A real shame for quite a nice place with a incredible view

Sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Bucht. Bett leider sehr durchgelegen und und Wände zur Nachbarwohnung sehr dünn. Anlage insgesamt in einem eher sehr gebrauchten Zustand. Frühstück durchschnittlich. Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

We took the « Family VIP suite 101 » . The view was amazing, but the confort of the room was poor. It was nothing like the pictures…bathroom was terrible, no hot water at all, floor deteriorating, the bed was not confy and very old…we were really disappointed. Breakfast was ok, the infinity pool is very nice with an amazing view!!! But really, no confort at all in the rooms. Pictures are not up to date to how it looks like today. Its sad cause the location have so much potential, but everything is old, the place needs to be refresh… In one sentence : amazing view, but ugly rooms with minimal confort.

Nuestra estancia en The Cobble Beach fue muy satisfactorio, las habitaciones muy cómodas, el staff muy amable, y super seguro. Ya habíamos Chencho check out, el muchacho que nos ayudó con nuestras maletas sabía nuestra hora de salida del ferry, y mi sorpresa fue que nos alcanzó para darme unos aretes de oro que había olvidado, eso fue honestidad al 100 .. GRACIAS!!!!

Dejligt sted lidt væk fra natte-feste-larmen. Nrm adgang til strand. Super god udsigt. Det sødeste og mwst venlige personale. Sengen lidt hård og morgenmaden var lidt tam. Men alt i alt en virkelig hyggelig oplevelse.

The owner could not have done more for us!

Vi fick utmärkt hjälp att byta rum av olika skäl. Mycket flexibelt och vänligt. Frukosten var utmärkt med fin utsikt.

Increíble, la atención, la amabilidad del personal, el desayuno bufet incluido estaba delicioso, una vista espectacular, habíamos reservado una habitación con 3 camas pero sin vista y llegando nos la cambiaron por una habitación con vista por el mismo costo y estuvo espectacular, muchas gracias, definitivamente regresaría. El acceso es un poco complicado porque está alejado del muelle pero si no tienes problema con eso, es un 10/10

Virkelig sød og hjælpsom værtinde . Ligger lige i yderkanten af hvor det sker , så lidt væk fra larmen , men stadig høre lidt . Ikke optimalt for gang besværet- stejl / ujævnt . Hyggelige hytter og med fantastisk udsigt fra pool. Kommer vi igen booker vi det samme😎 Små kravl kan forekomme .

Way too far to walk from the pier with kids. So loud at night but the whole island is so do some research before staying.

Very nice stay… not much for a bar or any service… kind of left alone.. lots of stairs… beautiful scenery

Le confort est assez spartiate, l'evacuation du lavabo est un simple tuyau qui s'ecoule... dehors dans la nature. L'eau des toilettes n'est pas traitée... donc elle est beige /marron, c'est particulier...Quelques points positifs tout de meme: le petit dejeuner est copieux, la piscine a debordement avec vue sur la baie et surtout la gentillesse du personnel (nous n"avions pas d'eau chaude le premier soir, ils ont changé le boitier qui chauffe dans la journée, et pour les ronflement, la patronne nous a proposé tout de suite de changé de chambre...avant de verifier et de nous dire avec un sourire complice qu'on pouvait la garder car "les voisins bruyant s'en vont aujourd'hui ".

Vi fick utmärkt hjälp att byta rum av olika skäl. Mycket flexibelt och vänligt. Frukosten var utmärkt med fin utsikt.

Increíble, la atención, la amabilidad del personal, el desayuno bufet incluido estaba delicioso, una vista espectacular, habíamos reservado una habitación con 3 camas pero sin vista y llegando nos la cambiaron por una habitación con vista por el mismo costo y estuvo espectacular, muchas gracias, definitivamente regresaría. El acceso es un poco complicado porque está alejado del muelle pero si no tienes problema con eso, es un 10/10

Sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Bucht. Bett leider sehr durchgelegen und und Wände zur Nachbarwohnung sehr dünn. Anlage insgesamt in einem eher sehr gebrauchten Zustand. Frühstück durchschnittlich. Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

We had a good time at Cobble. We were greeted with a smile and met some really nice fellow travelers. Room was basic but all we needed. Pool was clean with great views over the ocean. Great breakfast. The stairs were an issue but kept us fit ! After reading some reviews we were hesitant to stay there but it was fine.......we are on an island......go with the flow, the people you meet can make all the difference. Thanks Cobble and fellow travelers.

Väldigt härlig ägare, vi blev uppgraderade sista natten från vårat rum på vån 2 till ett finare rum med balkong och utsikt över hela viken på vån 3, otroligt fint och snällt. Sängarna var okej, rummen var okej men det är otroligt dåligt ljudisolerat. Man hör musik från festen i centrum som om man vore där. Detta är antagligen något som gäller de flesta hotell på ön men det var något av en chock att det kunde höras så väl. Ljudisoleringen mellan rummen var inte heller så bra, hörde typ om någon prasslade med en chipspåse i grannrummet. Frukosten var bra för att vara buffé-variant, fanns lite av varje men passade inte riktigt mig i smaken. Personalen möter vid färjan och lägger väskorna på en vagn och tar dem till hotellet, samma när man skall därifrån, otroligt trevlig service då det är en liten bit att gå. Poolen är superfin med utsikt över viken, en för eller eftermiddag där rekommenderas! Överlag hade vi en bra upplevelse men glöm inte öronproppar!
