Fairfield Inn and Suites Canton South

It’s in an industrial part of Canton & showing wear after 10 years. The facility needs attention. High priced for average quality. Pool advertised is size of a kiddie pool and pool heater was malfunctioning so water was freezing. Unable to use it. Staff said got complaints but denied there was a problem!

Breakfast was great, indoor heated pool.

Dirty, musty and run down. Pool was full of debris and bugs. Breakfast was edible.

The charging station for the car doesn't work. More importantly on my last stay, the water was cold. There was an issue with the hot water and I was forced to take a cold shower. They offered me points for the inconvenience. What a joke. I don't book through them so as I explained, points don't benefit but money of a future stay or the current stay would be more beneficial but they refused.

When we were their yhe pool was closed was looking forward to it but our stay and room was great!

I always stay at this property when in Canton because of the convenience of the car charging. Unsupervised,unmonitored charging went on for over 22 hours. I paid for Friday and Saturday night and 1 charger didn’t work

Bed Linen didn't seem freshly cleaned

The room was very nice and the staff who checked us in was very nice however we did see some stains on the bathroom wall that looked like it could have been blood and when we told guy at the front desk he acted like it was no big deal and didn’t even apologize

Do your homework when booking this hotel. I booked this hotel for a very quick visit to the NFL Hall of Fame for my son, his friend, my father, and myself. I chose this hotel because it had the highest rating in the vicinity (9.4 "exceptional") even though it was priced higher and a little farther from the Hall of Fame. The check in was pleasant, the front desk employee gave me good suggestions for dinner. But things to a quick turn, in my father's and son's room there was a horrific smell. At first I thought it was mildew or mold but the further I entered I was sure it was urine seeped into the carpet. I never complain (I have worked in service industry a long time). But I had to...I went to tell the front desk and the same person who checked me in came to the room and was pretty shocked as well, and said it was urine too and that she would have to move them. However, there were no similar rooms available ( 2 double beds). So they had to move them to a king suite. So now my 75 year old father and 16 year old son had to share a king bed (which was awkward and uncomfortable). They said there was pull out couch-but the cushion on that had a stain as well. In my room the shower curtain was stained yellow (probably from urine as well). The pool was empty and unappealing. There was a white film and spots on the top of the pool and the filter never ran. I could not imagine staying there longer than the one night. On a positive note, the breakfast had lots of variety.

Pros: Staff was friendly and prompt at front desk. When I called to get bedding and towels, response time was quick. Breakfast items were good with good variety. They refreshed items as needed, even close to end of breakfast time window. Cons: The room we were in was super musty. The carpets were damp to touch, even on 2nd day of stay. Not sure if it was bc of humidity or because they had shampooed them. The air conditioner struggled to ever cool the room or lower humidity of the room, even turning to lowest setting. One of the beds had a stained sheet. I assume it was cleaned and not stained but I can’t be sure. They brought new bedding when I called. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. I had to go to another floor to get ice. The room was overall clean, but it feels aged.

We stayed for 2 nights in order to visit the Football Hall of Fame. This hotel is a short drive away and served our purpose well. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was small but clean. I would have preferred an additional chair in the room so that both guests had a place to sit without utilizing the bed.

The hotel seemed new and modern. The service was good and very friendly. The room was clean and a nice size. The decor is more like an office than a comfortable room. The gap under the door is way too big and you could hear a lot of noise from the hallway.

Front desk lady was very nice. Rooms are small, but ok. They don't have drink or snack machines,so you have to purchase at desk..Carpet didn't look very clean. We only stayed because the roads got covered with snow and driving was horrible. I probably would not stay again

The checkin staff was very curt and dismissive. The check out staff was very polite. I have never had a room where I could hear the people stomping around. It was after midnight and I thought it was coming from upstairs but it could have been next door. Was surprised with the "incidental fee" and was told that it would be deducted at check out . Has not gone thru yet. I cancelled two of the days from the original reservation because of the increasing bad weather. They originally charged me for just the one day but the checkin people said that they had to charge me for the other two nights anyway and that I had to take it up with the original booking company. Hotels.com ssaid they could not do it and Expedia said that it was Hotels problem. I opened an inquiry with the credit card company.

Great hotel with super friendly staff. The room was wonderful with all needed amenities of high quality. Very comfortable bed. Extra blanket available in the closet. Only two issues: it would have been nice if the fridge had had a freezer compartment to refreeze our cooler packs. Also, the hotel is directly alongside the highway and the windows are not sound proof. Very nice breakfast included in the room price.

Liked location and handicapped accessible shower; did not like floor ledge into bathroom

The room was clean, Charlotte from dining went above and beyond. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful and had a sense of humor so you could engage in conversation with them.

Property kept very clean, both inside and outside. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I will be staying at this hotel if I am in the area in the future.

Didn’t take the time to eat breakfast. There was an issue with keys when we first arrived, but the staff were being patient with some other guests who were pretty demanding. They were more than courteous and explained what was going on, we appreciated them.

We had first a maintenance man walj into our room, then they gave another guest a key to our room and he walk in on us. They also gave us the wrong room, two queens instead of a king. We moved rooms and one of the tvs would not shut off. They did fix the tv. At breakfast they forgot to put out the oatmeal and the waffle batter.

WE HAD AN AMAZING STAY. THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF WAS VERY POLITE AND INTERESTED IN WHAT EVER WE MAY HAVE WANTED, WHICH WAS NOTHING, BECAUSE IT EVERY THING WAS GREAT. Thank you (General Manager) Jamie Banker

Customer service was great from check in to check out

Room was quite and clean. Staff was great. Went above and beyond. When we accidentally dropped our credentials for our Art Show for the next day, in the parking lot, the young man on the night desk tracked us to our room to return them. We would have been in trouble without them.

Staff was extremely helpful and polite. They were able to help me with any concerns that I had. My room was beautiful and very clean. I really appreciated the microwave and mini fridge in the room. It made my stay so much easier. I wish I had taken time to enjoy the amenities, but but my trip kept me away from the hotel for most of my stay. I would most definitely stay here again!

I want my money Back Now..never got my room cuz girl Lulu was disrespectful amd said I had to pay 50 more dollars for room and I didn’t have and I never got room! Give my money back now

This hotel was convenient right off of I-77. The hotel was very clean, room was comfortable and it was quiet… all important when you are breaking up a long drive. Highly recommend!

Property is settled on what seems like a hilltop. It felt very safe & inviting. Fresh and updated. Definitely would stay again on our way through.

I love this location due to it being right off of the freeway and near several fast food restaurants for easy options. The staff were all courteous and accomodating. I will stay again.

We are happy that we chose to stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Canton. Clean, staff friendly and efficient, and it was less than 10 minutes to the NFL Hall of Fame.

Property is off by itself. Not much to do around here. Was expecting more food choices for the hall of fame being nearby.

It was a lovely stay. The only complaint i would have is the breakfast bar meats and eggs could have been a little better.

Super easy check in and check out. Most of the breakfast mornings were good but not always for my taste.

Breakfast was good
