Property and hotel are beautiful, however the pool was green and the spa full of suds.

The hotel and property were great. Staff very friendly. Our room was not ready when we got there at 4:30 pm but the gave us a drink coupon to have while we waited. The elevators were totally out of service when we arrived and were in and out of service during the stay.

Gorgeous studio room, quiet, clean, nice firm mattress. Balcony had a lovely water view. I used the restaurant for take out Caprese salad which was delicious and fresh. Really easy to park, internet was free. Very convenient for crossing over into Canada to continue my trip. 2 downsides - expense of room, and very small postage stamp pool. I would stay here again.

We loved our stay at the hotel. Beautiful views, delicious food in the restaurant and we were able to walk every where. The only issue was the elevators were intermittently going out so there would be only one working at a time.

Check in was fast, we were in our room in a few minutes. Parking was ample and convenient.

Beautiful property situated with an unobstructed St Lawrence River view and linked to shopping and dining options in the village. Fire pits, multiple bars, excellent food, clean rooms, friendly staff, pool, hot tub, and fitness center overlooking the river.

Although this is a nice property with a nicely landscaped outdoor area, we encountered several disappointing things. Upon arrival, the staff (3 people) at the front desk took their time in assisting us while we stood in front of them. There were no other customers and the staff were talking amongst themselves. There was no hurry to check us in. Upon check-in (Friday), we find that we are on the 3rd floor and the eleveators are broken. I am a couple of months out from a knee replacement and we had to carry all of our luggage to the 3rd floor (a front desk cleark helped us) and we had to use the stairs for the remainder of day and the next morning. One of the two elevators were fixed sometime late morning/early afternoon while we were out. We were able to use the elevator until later that evening when it was shut down again (Saturday) and it was not working all day Sunday. It was not fixed until sometime Monday afternoon. The room was nice, but not entirely clean. The floor was dusty/dirty with small debris and the small are rug was not vaccumed. The bathroom was clean except for a few stray hairs. The bed scarf was folded and tucked in the bottom of the nightstand. We were looking forward to the pool and hot tub. The pool was a cloudy green color, such that I could barely see the bottom. The hot tub, when it was not in use and still water, had a small film floating on the surface. We had a drink at the bar and had the most unfriendly bartender. She did not greet, smile

1000 Islands Harbor Hotel had the most amazing sunset views. Staff was friendly and polite.We enjoyed sitting at the firepit in the evenings. Loved the window seat in the room. Wished the pool was warmer and the spa tub water was not cloudy.

We had continuous issues with being charged the incorrect amount and it took three different people to fix it over the course of days. In the meantime we were told not to worry about it and that it would be fixed, and it continuously wasn’t. We had ants in our room and reported it and nothing was done about it other than to put some bait, and the room was very dusty. I’m not one to notice a little dust but there were visible layers of it on the lamps and surfaces and when my phone fell on the floor and I picked it up there was dust all over it. It was definitely not worth the price and I recommended avoiding.

Beautiful all around. The view of the St. Lawrence River from our balcony was lovely as we watched the boats. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff... friendly and helpful!

We booked a River view, we got a parking lot view. The toilet leaked at the base creating a puddle and unsafe conditions. The room was very dusty. When I spoke to the front desk they just literally laughed it off. Very unhappy with location of the room. Attended a wedding there and the food was terrible

Very clean and excellent service

The check in desk service was good. While she said our room was not ready yet even though it was close to 5pm she changed our room to one that was ready. The room was large with a large bathroom, 2 sinks, shower and a jacuzzi bath. The room looked clean except for the floor which looked dusty. Then my daughter stepped on a piece of broken glass. That is when we noticed slivers of broken glass all over the floor. And upon packing to checkout we found a dirty sock from the previous occupant. We ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel on the patio. As the hostess was seating us I pointed out a big puddle of water on the table and asked if someone could please wipe it. Her response was "oh that's from were the waiters rest glasses on the table while serving". And she did not wipe it or send someone to wipe it. And our waitress totally forgot to bring a bread basket until I asked for it and then she brought it at the same time as the dinner dishes. The waitress did not remove all the appetizer plates from the table before serving dinner dishes. They were on the side of our table throughout dinner. Service was very slow. The food was excellent. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant on the patio and both service and food were great.

Showers had mold and dark black discoloration. Very disappointing for an over night stay that cost $565 and no perks.

Absolutely horrible. A major construction project is going on near the sea wall/sidewalk; where many of the rooms face. We were awoken at 7am our first morning there with trucks beeping, dirt and stone being dropped into dump trucks, etc. This continued until about 4pm. The next morning they started a bit later, perhaps because of many complaints from guests. We stayed here last year and had a great time watching ships pass and relaxing on the balcony. This year we could barely hold a conversation and spent most of the time in the room. It is clear to us after this trip that their guests comfort means nothing. They should have let each guest know of the upcoming construction (yes, they knew, their entire sidewalk was blocked off) We could have easily changed the date of our trip or cancelled. Some more info-lunch closes just before 2 - does not reopen for dinner until 5. If you are hungry in between these times, you need to go into town. We did, and found a fantastic pizza place (DiPrenzos?) right on the water and friendly staff. Rooms - bathrooms were very clean, bedroom was not. Dust was on the tops of the lamps and dust bunnies on the floors. They do have a good amount of storage space. There are no coffee makers in the rooms. (??) They set up a station each morning by the elevators with coffee, tea, etc. It was very nice and had piping hot good coffee, but why make your guests prod thru the hotel in their jammies for coffee? Employees - not rude, certainly NOT friendly

From arrival to departure everything was great. The facility was immaculate, the staff friendly and professional and in such a beautiful location. Highly recommend- we’ll definitely be back.

The property is beautiful. There was plenty of space in the room and the bathroom was enormous. Breakfast was also delicious, with lots of options.The only problem we had was that the AC in our room kept shutting down. This happened three times over our four day stay. We did report the issue two out of the three times. The third time happened overnight and we were leaving the next morning. We woke up when the room became too warm and stuffy, around 2:00 a.m. We tried to sleep until about 8:00 p.m., then gave up, packed and left.

We had a great stay. The hotel is beautiful & the staff was very friendly & welcoming. The property is amazing. Very picturesque with the location being right on the St Lawrence. The gas fire pit is so nice & the grounds are beautiful. Rooms are very nice, clean & modern. The only recommendation I would make is to improve the bed pillows. We had a king room & the pillows were small even smaller than a standard size pillow. They were down pillows & no support at all. Although there were 4 pillows on the bed & we doubled them it was still not comfortable. A king bed should have king size pillows. Next time I’d bring my own!! Better pillows please!!

There were no coffee / tea making facilities in the rooms. A beverage station was provided on each floor, but this was inconvenient, created additional noise, and was only available in the morning. No microwave was provided in the room. AC was noisy and did not hold a temperature set point.

The river view was very peaceful and picturesque The hotel was very loud and had extremely thin walls...you could here people in neighboring rooms going to the bathroom

Loved the location, the parking, the staff and the size of the rooms. Things to be aware of: the shower will change temperatures or get stuck on scalding hot for no apparent reason. The walls are not very thick, you will hear your neighbor so maybe bring ear plugs. I recommend the hotel and would stay there again if in the area.

They do not have Smart TV's in the rooms. So you are not able to steam movies or Youtube.

We were not enamoured with this hotel. Upon arrival, we were told our room was facing the parking lot. We asked if there was a possibility of changing our room to the water view. The girl looked up to see if there were other rooms available, and she said YES... actually we do have a few rooms available on the water view side. AND then she claimed "Oops!" we were not entitled to an upgrade to switch our room (even though there were more than one available) because we purchased the room on Expedia. She claimed she was not allowed to "upgrade" our reservation unless we booked directly with the hotel! (NOT IMPRESSED!!!). I have not heard of this rule before, as we have always been welcomed at all hotels I have booked through Expedia, and had not had this experience before! NEXT... when we arrived in our room, and were getting ready for bed, there were long hairs on the sheets - which clearly did not belong to me or my husband! YUCK! When towels were replaced on the second day, one was soiled so badly, it appeared the laundry did not clean the towel well, and no-one noticed to have that towel removed from the outgoing pile! When we departed... the clerk at the front desk just asked if I wanted a hard copy of my bill or emailed. HE never even asked how our stay was, did we enjoy the Hotel, or wished us a "pleasant departure"!!! ON a good note: The restaurant in the hotel was terrific, and the wait staff were delightful. WE got to eat outdoors - which was beautiful!

Staff members and management do not respond to issued or complaints from guest. They choose to ignore you. Have bad experience will never go back or recommend to anyone that I know.

The hotel and staff were amazing. Extremely friendly and accommodating. And their friendliness and good spirits were infectious. Every guest that we passed on the grounds or shared an elevator with had smiles and kind words. Its was so refreshing to experience in todays society. It will definitely be a annual trip moving forward. Ps. The food was amazing!

We stay at this hotel at least twice a year and just love everything about it! Great service, great staff, great view and amenities. We recommend it to all of our friends!

Just a mid week getaway with friends ! Beautiful weather and great hotel ! The receptionist who checked us in and out was so friendly !

Short Story: Booked room in Feb 2023 for 2 nights 19-20 May. Requested Early check in at 12 pm, due to the fact that I had a 8 hour drive from and airport, and I had a 5pm road race on the 19th, so i needed to rest a bit before. Got there at 12:15 pm, attendant said room would be ready in 15 minutes or so. Waited in lobby so i wouldn't be forgotten, 3.5 hours later, nothing, attendants (2) said they couldn't call housekeeping to check status . Finally, I told them i'd change in bathroom for the race and they said OK. Very unprofessional, I did get a weak I'm sorry when i checked in after race around 6 pm Nothing ever from Management.

This property has the best location right on the St. Lawrence Seaway. It is a short walk to town, the public park and shops. Clayton is a quaint, friendly and lovely little village.

We had a great stay at 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel. The building is beautifully maintained. It is conveniently located near all the sites we visited while in the area. It's located on the Saint Lawrence with great views and immediate access to the riverfront walk and downtown Clayton. We would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with a great location on the water and walkable to downtown shops and restaurants.

Lunch and breakfast was excellent. Server (Christian) was outstanding at lunch. Breakfast and server also excellent. Service at dinner slow, especially wine. Tomatoes in caprese salad were not very tasty. The room, coffeelocation and everything else were excellent.

Amazing value for the price in the winter. Beautiful hotel in a great location. Room for improvement: the dinner menu was missing some inexpensive options and service was slow on the one night we ate there. Also the breakfast coffee was a bit weak for me. There was no bold roast option.

My husband and stay here at least once a year. We love the location and the service. It is truly a beautiful hotel and location. We do not dine there unless necessary. The food is really a disappoint, considering that everything else is so amazing.

The dining experience was sorely lacking. Hour long wait for breakfast and dinner. Our chicken dinners were inedible. We had to send them back

This property is beautiful! It has great views, friendly knowledgeable staff, super clean facilities and the grounds are very well kept. The Seaway Grille located on premises serves delicious meals and their staff is super friendly as well. Definitely would recommend this hotel! It is a little pricey but splurging once in awhile doesn't hurt.

Took over an hour for breakfast. At least pour some coffee immediately.

The stay was good. Room was clean but the restaurant service wasn’t the best. The dinner wasn’t good at all and most of our requests were not followed. Steak was requested to be well done it came rare. When we booked we were told 25min and when we showed up at the time they confused our booking with someone else’s booking and asked if we can wait another 15min. Breakfast was ordered to the room and the staff said they knocked and called but we were in the room the entire time and didn’t hear a thing. Phone doesn’t work we discovered this as we were checking out. We ended up paying twice for breakfast but had no energy to argue and left the next day. We don’t visit Clayton NY often but we won’t be returning to the same hotel. Hotel is very expensive and not even a water bottle in the room.

Overall stay was amazing. Wasn’t really fond of the hotel food, was pretty mid.

The first night we were there we tried to call room service (hotel info indicated it was available 24 hours a day). I called 3 times and it kept going to voicemail. I finally called guest services and she reiterated that room service was available 24 hours a day… then said except between services. ?? Huh? We tried numerous times during our 3 day stay and never had anyone answer the phone. We ate 3 times in the dining room and breakfast was fine but the one dinner we had was awful. The food was salty with mushy vegetables. I can’t recommend dinner at the hotel. We ate elsewhere the other nights. The hotel is understaffed. The people who are there are dedicated but very few wait staff and those available were on a full run most of the time. There was one elevator broken the whole time we were there. That meant the remaining one elevator was crowded and had a very long wait most of the time. The carpet/area rugs in our suite (admiral suite) were filthy. Half of the lamp outlets didn’t work properly. Spider webs on the balconies and in outdoor areas seem to be an ongoing problem. There were thankfully quite a number of restaurants within walking distance to the hotel since the only decent meals we seemed to get at the hotel were breakfasts. It has a beautiful vista right on the St Lawrence and we had some relaxing hours watching what few cargo/container ships are still moving to and from Canada. The location and dedicated staff is what saves this hotel.

The facility was very nice. The grounds and location were wonderful. For some reason they played music outside with in ground speakers all day long. The music itself wasn't bad but I couldn't go anywhere without hearing it. Even in our room if we had the slider open to the balcony. We had to turn our TV up louder to hear it. The music usually was turned off by 10pm. The morning coffee was on each floor which made it very convenient. Our TV was broken when we arrived. We told them about it in the morning and they had it fixed before we returned from sightseeing. Wonderful staff. Sarah in the restaurant was very accommodating and pleasant.
