Boardwalk Sand & Surf Beach Hotel Oceanfront

We loved how close to the beach it was. Perfect location, our balocony/walkway literally connected to the Boardwalk. We were expecting a room with 2 beds and ended up with 2 rooms with 3 beds. We had a dresser, tv, microwave, small fridge and of course an air conditioner. No chairs but we were at the shore so we brought chairs for the beach so we used them, lol! It worked. I'm sure you could see the beach and ocean from the 2nd or 3rd floor balcony/walkway. Next time we might try to request an upstairs room but really no complaints. The parking was a little far (but free) and you got a nice walk, so it balanced out. A great trip altogether, wished we had more time to stay a day or 2 longer.

Remember, you’re at Jersey shore it is definitely an older beach community. The room is great for beach days kids and animal friendly very clean very minimalistic when you’re at Jersey shore you don’t spend a lot of time in the room you sleep take off one bathing suit and put on the next. It is perfect for beach, growers, and people that love the boardwalk best location on the boardwalk Mohamed the property manager was absolutely fabulous. Not only was he on top of everything but it was my daughter 17th birthday and he surprised us with a cake for her with her name and everything on it. Extremely Clean, friendly, courteous, and best of all dog and kid friendly.

We stayed in a room with three beds, a small fridge, and a microwave from July 4-6, 2025. The twin bed was uncomfortable and needed replacement, while the other was clean. The motel’s location on the boardwalk and friendly staff were great. However, we arrived near noon and had to wait until 3 pm to check in. The private parking lot was convenient, but other cars were parked behind ours. The rooms were small and needed painting. The high price for the quality of the room made us decide not to stay again.

We stayed for three nights and loved it. Directly on the boardwalk/beach. Free parking. We could walk everywhere. Beds were comfortable. Pet friendly (for a fee). If you aren’t super picky, this is a great spot. It has everything you need for a beach hotel. Room was large and had all the basics. The manager was super friendly and made it easy for us. We will definitely be back!

They advertise having free parking, but it is for small vehicles only and a limited space to park. This place only has 14 rooms and only 8 spaces for parking. You have to pay for parking on street so they let you use one of their parking passes with a $300 holding fee. I reserved a family suite that says sleeps 7. We arrived way earlier than check in and when asked if we could check in early the man says that our suite wasn’t available yet but we could upgrade to an apartment suite for an extra fee. I paid the extra fee for the upgrade, the apartment is the same as the family suite just has a kitchen sink, stove and small fridge. You are in two small rooms with three full size beds. You will comfortably sleep 6 not 7 unless someone is sleeping on the floor. The air conditioner is only in one room so if you close the door the other room doesn’t have air. They also advise ocean view it is if you look at it sideways from the 2nd floor walkway to your room. The room only has a shower which would have been ok but the shower floor was dirty painted over had to wear slides to shower with NO hot water at all.

Was ok. The staff was friendly & try to do their best to accommodate you, but I don't think I would stay again, especially for the price. Location is the only great benefit!! Top bunk was so loose that i was afraid to sleep in the full size bed under it. My daughter actually wanted to sleep on the futon instead of the top bunk, but it was broken & the mattress was so old & worn, you felt every bar underneath you (you could barely sit on it). Asked the office to tighten the bed & he said "its always been that way...its ok"! Ummm...no its definitely not!! So he brought us a rollaway bed. Again, mattress wasnt the best, but she used it anyway, since we were only staying one night. We had NO hot water in the shower. Only 2 outlets & you couldnt even use one because it was so loose that everything fell out. There were no smoke detectors!! There were parts of the room that were so dirty & loaded with sand that you can tell they are never cleaned! And they only have one extremely small parking lot near the motel (it fits like 5 cars). Luckily I ended up being able to jump in a spot quickly when I saw someone leave. Otherwise, you have to park a few blocks away, which is super inconvenient & defeats the purpose of getting a motel right on the boardwalk. It was SO loud around us (especially above us) that I barely slept. I dont expect complete silence. I understand people are on vacation having fun. But when music is BLASTING & people are pounding above you, its frustrating!!

I rented a 3-bedroom apartment. I ended up getting 3 separate bedrooms - 1 with 3 beds; 1 with 2 beds & 1 with 1 bed. There were bathrooms in the separate hallway. There were other guests with smaller children down the hallways in rooms also. This is definitely not for families. Us parents didn’t quite sleep because our kids were in other rooms away from us. This is more like dorming at college than staying in an apartment.

This is a typical beach hotel. (Could have been updated a little more and just a bit cleaner but was not terrible) Check in was super easy. The employees were very nice and helpful. We stayed on the second floor room 14b it was a family suite with a full-size bed and a bunk bed in one room. Then the second room had a full size bed and the bathroom, mini fridge and closet. There was a small table, microwave and armoire in the main room that had all the beds. The first floor balcony had access straight to the boardwalk, but the top floor had to go back towards the street to get down to ground level. The balcony ran the whole length of the hotel, and there were chairs and benches outside of your door to enjoy the view. The Bathroom is small, but who goes to the ocean to hang out in the room? The other guest were very friendly as well. The office is located straight across the alley at the sister hotel. I feel there may have been rooms in the basement as well, but I would not think they had much for windows. When we needed something like ice or extra towels, I went over to the office and asked, and they happily got them for us. This was a reasonably priced hotel For being directly on the boardwalk. You did have to pay to go on the beaches and they closed at night with a gate and officer located at each. However you can go off the board walk and enter the beach. No life guards there tho. City parking in front of hotel and only 10 spots for guest in lot across

I had nothing but extreme inconveniences at that places! Please don’t book here it’s a waste of money!! I wish I can explain in detail everything but not enough space to type out everything word by word. But for now here’s my main issues 1. No on site parking- it’s two or three blocks away in a small tight parking lot 2. Broken bed upon arrival and I was being told I had to pay extra for a room change or they could fix it in an 1hr or two took them 3 hour to switch out the bed frame cutting in to my time to explore jersey shore 3. No hot water in the shower- the staff pretended to shut boiler off and trouble shoot the problem but nothing was resolved I still didn’t have hot water in the shower and they didn’t seem concerned. Instead they refuse to refund me or change my room unless I paid extra for an upgrade bc “ they were fully booked” I had to shower with cool water since water wasn’t warming up my entire stay. 4. Rooms are dirty and moldy and smell like urine-not sure if it’s bc a lot of guest had pets and probably pets are peeing inside. 5. Door wouldn’t lock properly had to reinforce it with a chair against the lock. 6. Only one set of small stairs to the upstairs rooms which were located at one of the corners. Only one person at a time could go up or down if two people it super tight. Please people save your money and don’t stay here or the motel across its own/ run by the same staff.

We like our stay, the facility is near the beach thats the more important thing. All in All our stay is very good

Was told checkin would be 330 then checked again at 4 and still not ready. They said it was being cleaned. We finally check in, hair in the bed. Sticky stuff on desk. And I guess previous guests thong behind the toilet.

We spent 4 days here and had a great stay. Location is perfect and our room was clean. Nothing fancy but perfect for the price.

Floor was dirty

Upon arrival we walked into the room and there was garbage and a sock in front of the room. Once i walked in the room there was sand and a dorito on the floor. The smoke alarms were gone the phone did not work. The water pressure was terrible and the water was COLD. The convenience was being on the board walk.

One of the worst motel experiences of my life. Rented for two nights and paid a lot of money for this place. Would say it was more of a dorm room than motel room, which I would not necessarily have a problem with but for the price we paid it is highway robbery. Bed was awful, when we laid down on it our feet were higher than our heads. Back was killing me when I got up because it was so uncomfortable. Shower had no hot water. Sink had no drain stop to shave. There was hair on our sheets and on some of the towels that obviously was not ours. Place was old and decrepit. Was right on the boardwalk, so I would expect some noise at night from that but could hear people in the next rooms. The air conditioner drowned out most of it though as it was probably 90 decibels. Was not able to escape the constant weed smoke outside. Complained to the motel and they offered to put us in a new room but asked for a refund for the second night based on the issues above as I did not believe a new room would be better. Refused the refund. I understood it was non refundable through hotels.com but we were not expecting this level of disfunction so they should have worked with us. Left after one night and ended our vacation early. If your looking for a $120 a night place this would not be terrible but not when your paying 3 star prices.

Close to everything and convenient spot. Very dirty hotel. The only thing they did was take the trash and replace the towels. Ane sheets. There were hair in the shower, a used soap bar and the floors were all full of sand. Gross

The service wes very good. The hotel itself wes very dated, & not very clean. Also, there was no hot water in the sink, & the bathroom mirror was just propped on the back of the sink.

We chose this location because it was attached to the boardwalk and it had pretty good reviews but the room we were given was not ideal. It was very hot, there was only a small window AC unit that was not on when we got there and took hours to semi cool down the rooms, the floor was dirty, I assume it was sand. The door handle to our room was busted, it took a good hour to get it somewhat fixed to even be able to get into the room and to lock the door from the inside, we had to jam our finger into the lock unit in hopes it actually locked. I didnt expect anything great but I did expect better than the accommodations we had. We were in room 14A, we are staying here again in a week, I am hoping we get a different room and have a better experience.

Rooms are not luxury but they were clean and big.

Basically a crash pad. Skip the showers if you’re a clean freak. No comforts of any kind.

The door to my room wouldn’t lock so I had to put chair behind the door while I slept. It took along time for the shower to get warm. The mattresses, bed sheets, pillows should have been replaced in the 90’s

It was not what we expected for the price it is was more like a dorm room with a broken bed and bunk beds. Location was great.

We assumed we paid in full through Expedia but the manager charged us for an extra person. He was rude and this place was disgusting. I have used Expedia for many of my travel and was never charged extra when I arrived at the hotel. I expect to receive a refund.

Worst stay ever. If I had to say something good about this property, it was that the front desk staff allowed me in the room early. The rest went downhill from there. The room was filthy come on the floor sand all over the floor. Hair is on the floor. I don't think it was even cleaned. Hair in the shower. A broken spoon with some kind of food on it in the closet and the closet smelled like pee. There was something else in the closet. I didn't know what the heck it was. On top of everything, after 9:00 at night it was extremely noisy and people partyed until 4:00 in the morning when I finally decided that after the first night I was going to was going hightail out of there even though I paid for two nights. I called the motel around 8:30 a.m. after I left I told them I couldn't stay there because it was so disgusting and the only response I got from the woman who answered was oh I'll let the owner know. I haven't heard back from anyone. I haven't gotten any money back and I will never ever stay here again. If you like slumming it and partying all night and dirty beds then this is the perfect place for you. Otherwise steer clear.

The guy who checked us in was very nice. We had a great stay here. It was very clean and quiet, we had a regular room and it was just fine for our overnight !!

Helpful and friendly staff. We were allowed to check in early. We went during the off season, so the price was reasonable. It was clean, but very dated and the room set up was odd. We would stay again.

The staff is wonderful and it is clean.

Our room was favorably priced and the staff was professional and friendly. The best was our room was about 20 feet from the boardwalk.

Awesome stay, Had a few issues, but the staff immediately took care of everything! Defiantly going back!

The room had a fresh look,it wasn't huge but fine for a seaside beach boardwalk kind of hotel. I t was a great location,too.
