Shilla Stay Seodaemun Seoul Station

Really liked everything about this hotel except i wish the gym was bigger. Otherwise I've had a great experience!

Stayed for 3 nights. Room is typically small and the hotel reception area is small and congested with bags, carryons left for people to check in. Room service was good and bed sheets were changed everyday.

Lobby is very small And very busy and crowded always

Great hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. Make sure to pay extra for the breakfast. Location was good with the subway literally right outside the hotel door, exit 7. Can do your laundry for free on the third floor. Climate control in your room.

No place for loading or unloading near entrance so little inconvenient when using taxi

Excellent stay, I did have to transfer room due to a sewage smell but it was not a fault of the hotel it was from outside in the city. The city seems to have a generalized drainage problem, may be due to overpopulation and infrastructure issue. The hotel was very lovely and accommodating. Very polite, food was good also. 전철역 바로 앞에 있고 깔끔한 시설, 기대 이상으로 좋았던 모닝 뷔페 등이 아주 좋았습니다. 주차는 문제에요. 옆 건물 지하에 세우고 정산하는 게 넘 불편합니다.

Nice stay, nice staff. Very clean. Downside. We stayed 8 nights incl. breakfast. Breakfast buffet was great but it was the same every 8 mornings. Gym was very small.

욕실에서 냄새가 났고, 히터를 틀면 너무 시끄러워서 잠을 잘 수가 없을 정도였어요. 다음날 예민한 일정이 있어서 클레임도 자제하고 조용히 쉬다 나왔는데, 정말 별로였어요.

체크인은 아주 빨랐어요. 처음 배정받은 방의 문을 열고 들어가니, 하수구 냄새같은 좋지 않는 냄새가 확 코를 찔렀고, 즉시 프론트에 컴플레인하니, 비교적 빨리 다른 방으로 배정해 주었어요. 새로 배정받은 방은 세탁물 냄새처럼 깨끗한 냄새가 났어요. 만족했어요.

My neighbors were very loud, which significantly disrupted my stay. Additionally, the bathroom had numerous damages and defects. A particularly unpleasant issue was the terrible smell coming from the toilet, no matter how often it was flushed. The bed linen was not changed despite leaving the card, and the floor was never properly cleaned during my entire stay.

There is special smell in bathroom.

Rooms where very clean and very quiet. Breakfast was great!

The towels in the bathroom are worn out.

Room was fantastic!! Had a view of the mountains and easy access to the subway and taxis. Staff are awesome and let me leave big items until I am back in Seoul. Breakfast was perfect and soooo many choices. Chefs making omelets and consistently cleaning tables.

Everything was good but the room was so tiny for the suitcases.

Good balance between price and relatively central location. We got the grande deluxe room (like a junior suite) which gave us a lot more room than most rooms in Seoul.

The room is just tiny for 3 adults who stayed for 7 days, no enough room for our luggage plus our shopping bags. Well maintained room and staffs are hospitable , wish there’s microwave but glad it has mini fridge and kettle.

Location wise, it’s not bad. But I felt like the hotel was a bit old and dark. Perhaps it was the holidays, but the price was not worth the room we booked. Perhaps you can consider if you’re coming off season

A week at Shilla Stay Seodaemun exceeded our expectations! The front desk staff made us feel right at home! Friendly, helpful, and ready with a smile. Staff spotlights: Ms. Jennie went above and beyond by braving the rain one day with umbrella in hand to help us coordinate / translate with our Uber driver. She was proactive and kind to do this and we appreciate her efforts! Other standout team members Ms. Moon, Jason, Vio, Joy were equally amazing, making our stay feel welcoming, seamless, and stress-free. Room/Bathroom - Spotless! Inquiries were met with prompt, courteous responses. Room had mini fridge, daily tea, coffee, electric teapot. #2105. Amazing view! Elevators - lightning-fast! Location - perfect access to subway exits 5, 6, 7, & 8. Multiple bus stops are steps away. Dining - Hanam BBQ, Paris Baguette, Mega Coffee, fast food & countless convenience stores nearby. Restaurant - we didn’t dine there but appreciated the staff's flexibility in allowing us to preview the offerings (Western-style continental breakfast items). Vibe - Shilla Stay Seodaemun is a more relaxed vibe and it's only a few bus stops away from the bustling heart of Myeongdong and the night market area. Suggestions: Signage at front door entrance should be labeled "ENTRANCE" - not "EXIT." This was slightly confusing. Also, a quick tutorial for room lighting would help (insert room card into wall slot to activate lights!) Remember press "MAKE UP ROOM" button for room clean requests.

객실도 깨끗하고 어메니티도 록시땅으로 깔끔하고요. 무엇보다 데스크 직원분들이 너무 상냥하고 친절하십니다. 사정이 있어 얼리 체크인이 되는지 여쭤봤는데 원래는 추가요금이 있는데 이번은 무료로 해주신다고 하셔서 너무 감사했어요. 주변 도보 가까운 거리에 먹을것도 많고 시내 한복판이라 너무 편리했습니다

Reception staff didn’t seem welcoming, they lacked customer service and a smile. Other than that rooms are very tiny but ok.

숙박일 저녁에 화재경보가 울려 황급히 대피하였음. 그런데 1층에 내려와 보니, 프론트의 직원들은 아무렇지 않다는 듯 적극적 설명이나 대응이 없음. 어디선가 오작동 한 것 같다는 정도의 반응임. 같은 날 부천에서는 화재로 7명이 사망했음. 만일 이 경우가 오작동이 아니었더라면 어떤 결과였을까 상상하고 싶지도 않음. 어떠한 경우에도(설령 기계 오작동이었더라도) 직원들은 적극적으로 대응하고 고객을 안심시키고 안전한 대피를 도울 수 있도록 훈련이 되어 있어야 하는데 전혀 그렇지 않음. 조식을 위해 방문한 지하 층 바닦이 울퉁불퉁해 넘어질뻔 함. 이유를 물었더니 며칠 전 침수때문이라고 함. 그렇다면, 해결하고 식당을 오픈해야 맞지 않았을까? 오히려 안전에 문제가 있어 보임. 지금까지 매우 만족하고 있던 신라스테이의 정책과 직원교육에 대한 전반적인 점검이 필요하다고 생각하는 계기였음.

Staff was very accommodating for our big group of 11 arriving early. Great central location within the city. 7-11 and Starbucks nearby. Train station steps from the front door to easily explore Seoul.

Front staff was kind, nice and helpful when I ask or request something. But i wasn’t happy for the service from staff in the restaurant particularly the cook who makes fried eggs and manager who seems didn’t care about my concern.

It was the best place because it was so close to the subway station, and the breakfast was good. Hotel room is quiet and clean, so I plan to stay again next time.

Good location - subway exit is right outside the hotel

Location is just right next to the subway so highly convenient. One small comment - pickup location (when u book an Uber/taxi) isn’t very clear / intuitive because the hotel doesn’t really have a typical wide lobby entrance. It’s on the side of the road next to the subway exit. Would be helpful to have a sign / map pin of sorts in the hotel to guide guests on transport options.

Excelente hotel muito bem localizado na linha 5 do metrô de Seoul. Literalmente na porta das saídas 7 e 8 e com o Airport Limousine Bus com parada de ida e volta do outro lado da rua. Hotel com serviço impecável e elevadores super eficientes. Quartos com vista muito bonita para a área ao redor que tem muitas coisas perto (lojas, restaurantes, farmácias, cafes). Recomendo muito.

Easy to find and in convenient location for using the metro Check in process was easy Security to get to room was good. Size of room was good. Clean and warm room Staff spoke English which was helpful

西大門駅ほぼ直結なので、地下鉄移動にはとても便利！ また、ソウル駅までもバスで5分少々なので、帰りに重いキャリーを持ってソウル駅に行く際にとても便利！

There is 1 metro station (Line 5) right in front of the hotel. The hotel is about 1 bus stop away from Seoul station if you take bus 750A or 750B.

There weren't anything particularly concerning but nothing really good either. It was just ok. I selected this location hoping that it would be easy to get around being near the Seoul station. But it was not... the purple line (#5 line) required transferring almost every time.

Hotel location was excellent. The subway entrance was right outside the hotel and there is a supermarket nearby. Bus stops close to the hotel will easily bring you key spots like myeong-dong and Seoul station and back. Breakfast buffet offers a good selection of food and drinks. One thing that can be improved is the maintenance of the rooms, the cupboard to the fridge is beginning to fall apart and the sliding door to the bathroom was stuck. Overall, it is an excellent hotel in terms of location and sleep quality.

This hotel was convenient for getting to and from Seoul station. It is one bus stop away from the station. Not many restaurant options around the hotel.

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel, avec peu de choses à redire. Chambre propre, petit déjeuner excellent avec pleins d’option !! Situé face à une station de métro et plusieurs bus. Les points moins positif c’est l’heure de fin du petit dej 9h30 c’est un peu short pour les lève tard :) et qu’il fait peut être un peu chaud la nuit (clim éteinte)

Pathetic service. Aircon was not working. Raised complaint twice and was not fixed. The buffet breakfast is a scam. Worst breakfast I've had in Korea
