Bekväma sängar! Lite långt ifrån där allt händer(om man vill in till centrala delarna av London), men gick ändå smidigt att ta sig fram och nära både buss och tunnelbana.

Title: Sleepless night before a key conference – unhelpful night staff and a poor location Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I stayed at Pelican London Hotel & Residence from 21 to 28 September 2026 to attend an important conference at ExCeL London. That conference was the only reason for my trip. Unfortunately, the hotel let me down on almost every front. Night staff: On the night before the conference, the room's ventilation switched to heating, and the room became unbearably hot all night. I asked the night receptionist for help several times. He said this was normal and suggested I open the windows and go to sleep. He also said his instructions did not allow him to lower the room temperature, and told me to complain to the manager in the morning. Later it turned out that the heating switch was clearly on and only needed to be turned off, which is a one-minute fix. Because of this, I did not sleep at all before the most important day of my trip. Housekeeping: Daily cleaning was very poor. Location: The nearest Underground station is a 15–18 minute walk away, and the hotel is far from central London. This added a long commute every day. This stay left me with a very bad impression of my whole visit to London. I would not recommend this hotel, especially to business travellers who need a reliable night's rest.

Room was tired and grubby especially the carpets. The reception had one staff member on who was slow. Two other staff members came and went but did not help. We waited 20 minutes to get to the desk. We were third in line. Then we were asked to basically book ourselves in with an iPad, and were asked for photo ID which I did not have and was not expecting to be asked for. Ive never been asked for it at a hotel before. The mattress was hard, the pillows might as well be have not been there they were flatter than flat and only one each. We didn’t experience any noise from the hospital. Street parking was free at the time of our visit. Overall the hotel was quite depressing and I won’t rush back.

We stayed for one night as had appointment at hospital following morning . Absolutely excellent! Spotlessly clean everywhere! Bed comfortable, did ask for more pillows but that’s a personal choice and staff quickly brought them to us . Reception area being painted . Bedding, towels , bathroom all spotless . Room has adjustable heating which was ideal as I felt cold after arriving . Temperature changed for overnight and was comfortable all the time we stayed . We will be staying there again for future hospital visits . A very quiet hotel to stay in (Thursday night) . Could do with a USB power plug in the room but again didn’t affect our stay in anyway . We travelled by train so can’t comment on the parking .
