There is no staff on site. You are on your own. If there is a problem, handle it yourself. There are no amenities. No coffee. No vending machines. There is an ice machine but it's locked in the office and you will probably be charged when you break the windows to get in. You are about a mile out of town, so it is a quick trip to grocery, CVS, or convenience store. Since NO ONE is around, I did not feel safe. If there's a fire, drunk and rowdy guests, an enterprising thief breaking into everyone's car...handle it yourself. To be fair, the room was clean. Shower and toilet worked fine. Mini fridge and microwave worked. TV reception was awful. Area was pretty quiet. Bed pillows are FLAT. There was no local information in room. One would think since the guest would have to go into town to eat, it would be to a business advantage to advertise at the motel. And there's lots of shopping in town. But you have to find out for yourself. Bottom line. This is an okay place to sleep and use the bathroom. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. The rest stop on the interstate is a better option.

It was okay. Nothing to write home about. The location relative to Nashville and Brown County State Park was great. The room was clean, but dated, which wasn't a dealbreaker. The outside property needs some upkeep...trees and bushes need trimming, cigarette butts aplenty. There was no staff available on site when we arrived...we had to call a number and they told us the key was under the mat, which was strange and offputting. No amenities, pool, continental breakfast...no frills. A pretty basic motel overall, but the price was good in comparison.

We only stayed one night rather than 2. Could not take a shower due to no being able to slide the door open. There are no phones in the rooms. Air-conditioner would only blow the fan no cold air. Office was not open at 8 am the morning to make the complaint about the shower. Coffee and ice are in the office, so no morning coffee. Would strongly suggest to take them off your site.

I have complaints about the room it self or the staff. What little interaction I had with them they seemed friendly enough. The only complaint that I have is that there no vending machines and the ice machine was in the office that stayed locked and you had call the number on the door to get someone to open it and if you were lucky they were on site. Other than that we had nice quiet weekend. Also don't expect delivery. Every place we tried to order from said we were out of ranch but, that not the hotels fault.

Extremely overpriced, but had no other option at time of booking. No staff on premises at any time, including check-in/check-out. Dangerous stairs-slanted and uneven risers. Lights did not work. A/C was extremely loud. Faucet would not shut off easily. WiFi not available at any time during the stay. Marijuana smell coming from rooms below (and it was cheap stuff, too - smelled terrible). Maybe worth $60/night, but certainly not the $135/night I was charged.

Had two rooms for a quick overnight stay while attending graduation at Indiana University. Both rooms were cool (AC on) upon arrival which was nice. One room was very nice while the other had a musty smell. Each room was clean, had a microwave and refrigerator and a comfortable bed. As for service - good upon check-in but they had a sign saying coffee would be available at 7am (Sunday morning). We ended up checking out at 8:15am and still no one had arrived. The place is no-frills but served us well. It just would have been nice for the office area to be open for coffee and ice.

When we arrived the fellow at the desk was preparing to leave for the day but checked us in right away. The lodge is older, but has been cared for pretty well. Our toilet had issues with solids, and the ice machine was locked in the office, so we couldn't get any ice. Other than that, what you see is what you get. Clean room and bathroom. Nice staff at check in. Close to town and reasonably priced. Maybe let folks know to get any ice they need before office is locked? Would stay there again.

We sat on the phone at the checkin door for 15 minutes before being told how to enter the room. We had to knock down 3 spider webs before getting to our door. Upon entering the room it looks ok, with no lights on. We turned the bedside lamps on and I shined my phone flashlight on the bed as I always do. I was DISGUSTED with the amount of make up/ body oil was on the pillows. The blanket was also dirty. The toilet bowl hadn’t been cleaned either. No refund was available even though we walked out and drove 2 hours home to sleep in our own bed. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!

The bed was super comfortable. I would buy one for home without any doubt. The room was clean and updated. The tv did not work correctly and there was a line through it. For the most part, it was super quiet, other than what was probably a few people drinking. Wasn’t a big deal though. I would stay here again, especially for the price.

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago. Then it was an older, yet clean and charming roadside motel with delightful staff. This visit was a completely different experience. We stayed for three nights, and not once did we see a staff member. When we arrived to check in we found the office locked, with no directions on what to do or how to check in. We had to call the hotel to tell them we were in the parking lot to check-in…they then told us there was a key under the door mat that would get us into the room: We came and went from the hotel throughout our three days and not once was the office open, nor was there any evidence of a staff member on property. The room smelled so, so musty it was overpowering. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed between guests and there were spider webs in the corners of the bathroom, hair in the shower, and soap scum on the sink. The parking lot (including in front of our door) was littered with cigarette butts and garbage. Do yourself a favor and find someplace else to stay.

We arrived earlier today and when we pulled up to the office there was a note on the door that had a number to call to check in. We did and they told us our key was under the door mat of the room. That’s fine with me! The room is clean. The bathroom was pretty much spotless which is all I need for one night. If you want a clean room and easy access to outside, this is the place for you. It’s about 2 miles from Brown County Park.

This is a very rundown over priced motel. We had to call someone to come to the site to check us in. Mattresses are not good. The room smelled musty as soon as we opened the door. There was mold in the shower. Dead spiders on the bathroom floor. Not updated for technology. The tv only had 24 channels. Only a 2 plug outlet by the bed. When we called to check out the motel, the man stated there was a pool and free breakfast. They had neither. GO SOMEWHERE, ANYWHERE ELSE‼️

Green Valley Lodge was very clean and well-maintained. Staff was exceptionally accommodating. There’s a complimentary ice machine in the office. Beds had mattress pads and were surprisingly comfortable. Shower had good pressure and temp control. Linens were good quality. I’d stay again Don’t let the fact that it was a motel stop you It was charming and a pleasant surprise.

Has a small cottage type feel, rooms kinda on the small side, it was clean, a little bit dated inside. Light fixtures, sink, trim etc older but clean. Had a mini fridge ( didnt work well if at all) and small microwave. Bathroom was very small and a new shower head was way overdue. Beds were not made everyday and towels were not restocked (wasnt an issue for me but if u expect that) There was nobody at front desk had to call number but was answered fast and taken care of. For the money I think it was a nice place and would stay at again. If your expecting a 5 star hotel look elsewhere.

Check in was very strange. When I arrived at the lodge, there was no one there. There was a very faded note on the door with a number to call. In between his heavy accent and the road noise (since I was standing outside) he was difficult to understand. Our stay was not the first time there. I was disappointed with check out. There was no one there an no clue that would be the case. Not only that but the phone numbers given were not helpful. One mailbox was full and the other wasn’t set up, so I had to call later from the road to make sure we were checked out. They were nonchalant about the whole thing.

I really like the way he? has set himself up to. kind of run it like an Airbnb for the check in. Very convenient. and fast. We came late, the owner made sure we got into the room safe. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us. It was very quiet. We enjoyed the property and will be staying at one of the places again. The owner was extremely nice and helpful the next morning on places to go and visit and eat!! Thank you!

We arrived earlier today and when we pulled up to the office there was a note on the door that had a number to call to check in. We did and they told us our key was under the door mat of the room. That’s fine with me! The room is clean. The bathroom was pretty much spotless which is all I need for one night. If you want a clean room and easy access to outside, this is the place for you. We only stayed one night rather than 2. Could not take a shower due to no being able to slide the door open. There are no phones in the rooms. Air-conditioner would only blow the fan no cold air. Had two rooms for a quick overnight stay while attending graduation at Indiana University. Both rooms were cool (AC on) upon arrival which was nice. One room was very nice while the other had a musty smell. Each room was clean, had a microwave and refrigerator and a comfortable bed. As for service - good upon check-in but they had a sign saying coffee would be available at 7am (Sunday morning). We ended up checking out at 8:15am and still no one had arrived. The place is no-frills but served us well. It just would have been nice for the office area to be open for coffee and ice.

This room definitely served the purpose that I rented it for. We came into town for the big drag race at brown county drag way. The positives are that it was clean and bug free. The negatives are that the shower leaked water onto the floor, there was no coffee pot in the room, and it was small. (Small didn’t really bother me). If you’re looking for a bed and a shower then this is for u. If you are needing something that you’ll be spending a little time in, this probably isn’t it.

I never got to go to the room. I attended my brother's graduation from IU. I wasn't able to check in before the 8:00pm graduation ceremony. So after a bite to eat after he graduated, my wife and I got to the lodge. It was late, so no one was in the office. But there was a phone number to call. I called it. So my wife and I left. My mom was the one that booked the room for us under her hotel account so her credit card got charged. She called the lodge a few days later and talked to the manager, explained what happened. The guy told her that he would speak to the owner. She called the next day and the manager said that the owner said that I was never in the lobby and that he would not refund the money. I have screen shots of the 4 phone calls I made to the number left on the door of the lobby office. We are refuting the charge with our credit card company. Do NOT book with this property. TERRIBLE!!!
I never got to go to the room. I attended my brother's graduation from IU. I wasn't able to check in before the 8:00pm graduation ceremony. So after a bite to eat after he graduated, my wife and I got to the lodge. It was late, so no one was in the office. But there was a phone number to call. I called it. A man answered and said that he would be down shortly to get us our room key. I waited about 15-20 minutes and no one came. I called again. He answered saying that he would be right there. Another 15-20 minutes passed and then he called me. He asked me where I was. I told him I was by the lobby/office. He asked which property. I told him Green Valley Lodge.
