Nice hotel. Overpriced for the amenities and location. Right on beach but no elevators - having an elderly person was tough. Also parking a bit of a crapshoot. No office open after they roll the sidewalks up so no one to get info from.

We booked the balcony, ocean front view which was beautiful. The location is great, right across the street from the beach, next to the general store and restaurant/ bar downstairs. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the roof deck. The only downfall was it felt like more It's more of a party vibe but it could have been because we stayed over Memorial day weekend when it was very crowded.

Issues with mold odor in the room as well as the balcony slider would not open. Building is sagging, so doors are difficult to open and someone will eventually get an injury from this. Stairs up to the rooms need a new carpet as the existing carpets is very dark with dirt and oil. People who work at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and professional. They made a positive difference for our stay.

Floor was gritty with sand on arrival. Bathroom sink didn’t empty- slow draining, very slow draining. At our arrival Andy helped get us to our rooms- all that went smoothly. When I wondered where the volume remote was- all I needed came through with us texting back and forth. We were good with that. Also we felt the manager went out of their way to check on the timing and pick up of the trolley for a wedding we were there for. The staff was very accommodating.

Everything was great except bathroom is a bit smaller, one petson at a time :) There was no microwave,. Other than that it was very clean, I loved the location. Balcony with the ocean view was excellent. Staff was extra friendly. I loved how I would receive texts. That made me feel vey special.

View was good. That was it. The room had an Oder and we killed about 5 flea / nat type bugs. Stairs getting up to room were cramped. Entry was through the back door of the restaurant. Very strange setup

Amazing view, very comfortable bed, and great coffee selection with the single serve machine! Quick walk to anything you desire, on-site restaurant (seasonal) and bar, but very quiet in the rooms themselves.

Location is excellent, across the road to the beautiful beach, however if your room is not ocean front you will be quite disappointed. Rooms are very small and have one small window overlooking other people's decks ( almost within hand reach). Zero privacy. I felt claustrophobic. It had almost a cheap motel feel. Extremely loud A/C would not let you sleep. Restaurant is fabulous tho.

Cons: curtains are too small, street and hallway light are bright at night, hallways smelled like someone smokes inside, view is obstructed by power lines + telephone pole. Room was advertised as ocean front walkout which is not accurate. This was a 3rd floor room and did not look like the advertised room. At almost $1,300 for two nights, disappointed with quality / value.

Thank you all for making my stay so memorable and extra special - both as a hotel guest and restaurant patron! I stayed on my birthday and every single member of staff went above and beyond to help make me feel so welcomed and cherished. You are all amazing, but some extra shout outs to Andy at the front desk, and Emma and Savannah in the restaurant for making me feel like a million bucks and for spoiling the heck out of me. (Oh yeah, and the room is so well appointed, location can't be beat, and there are all the comforts you could need while here, so the hotel experience itself was awesome too.) Can't wait to come back and see you all again!

Our annual Maine visit to York Beach with stay at Stones Throw. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the view of the beach are extraordinary. I left an electric car charging connector there attached to the Tesla charger. They retrieved it for me and made arrangements to ship it to me. Their restaurant is excellent too.

Stones Throw has been our favorite restaurant for years and we were so excited to finally stay in its beautiful hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and came with an amazing view of the beach. When we arrived, the hotel had no record of my payment through hotels.com and tried to re-charge me for the full stay. Then they took down my info and said they would let me know if they had any issues. Despite being charged and paying for the second night, and showing the office staff receipts and statements, they called and texted me multiple times over the course of our stay and after we left, chasing us for payment that was already made. This really put a damper on our stay and it will be the first and last time we will stay with Stones Throw as a result. They made me feel like I was some kind of thief while I was trying to relax on a hard earned vacation. I emailed the office over 24 hours ago and have not received a response. Abysmal customer service.

Nice hotel. Overpriced for the amenities and location. Right on beach but no elevators - having an elderly person was tough. Also parking a bit of a crapshoot. No office open after they roll the sidewalks up so no one to get info from.

Room was nice and clean. The balcony overlooking the ocean was nice. Finding the room was challenging as there are no staff on site and checking is contactless. Plenty of parking.

Everything was amazing from the staff,cleanliness,food rooms etc.only 1 thing on second day our room was not done up or fresh towels etc,so went to the desk n they said I had to request it to be done.I have stayed all over the world n never had to ask for clean towels etc garbages to be emptied .They were very nice and I politely said Id come get them but we had garbage n all towels etc having been to the beach we showered twice.For the amount we paid I wish that someone would have told us at check in or through txt expedia etc.Definately would stay again loved it.Just please tell people upon check in.we left our room 2 times thinking we needed to stay out so they could clean.

Floor was gritty with sand on arrival. Bathroom sink didn’t empty- slow draining, very slow draining. At our arrival Andy helped get us to our rooms- all that went smoothly. When I wondered where the volume remote was- all I needed came through with us texting back and forth. We were good with that. Also we felt the manager went out of their way to check on the timing and pick up of the trolley for a wedding we were there for. The staff was very accommodating.

We absolutely loved our stay. We have stayed at many places in York- and this is our new favorite place. Can not wait to come back. The room was spotless, location perfect, parking was easy, staff was so helpful. See you again soon.

The motel is located on a busy street that is between the motel and beach. It is noisy. Nice view of the ocean. There wasn’t a spot to park when we arrived but was taken care of quickly. When sitting on our balcony trying to enjoy the view the people on the balcony next to us started smoking cigarettes and weed. We had to retreat to our room because the smell was so strong. I thought it was a non smoking motel. Was disappointing.
