Inn On The Drive ( Adults Only)

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was clean and organized. The on-site manager was so friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have had access to vending machines and an ice machine.

My poolside room (B2) was pleasantly furnished if not luxurious, had a comfy bed and featured the modest amenities you’d expect from small resort inn. There is a slight musty smell in the room which is probably drawn in by air-con from the surrounding pools and unfortunately mosquitos love that (and me too). Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and Michael the on-site manager is really patient and helpful. I had to park in the lot across the street one night as there are limited spaces out front, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Literally two minutes walk from all the bars and clubs on Wilton Drive. If I’m in the area, I’ll certainly stay again - but I’ll bring my mosquito spray!

This LGBTQ friendly property in the heart of Wilton Manors is packed with charm. The resort style area is combined with small units and larger houses to rent, complete with pools and hot tubs around every corner. Guests get a personalized gate code that gets them in everywhere. Oh yeah, it's also a clothing optional place.

One pool is heated, which was great. The hot tub is for the Villa guests, but are accessible if the Villa is not occupied.

I was surprised there is no daily maid service. Also, half of the property is off-limits, including the hot tub. Otherwise it’s a nice property. The coffee maker and microwave in the room was a very nice convenience.

We had a brilliant stay at Islands Inn On The Drive! The location is superb, just a short walk to excellent local restaurants and bars. The property is clean and well maintained, with two lovely pools, one of which is heated, perfect for a relaxing swim. Communication before our stay was excellent, making everything really easy when it came to finding the property and checking in. We arrived after hours and were given the code for the gate and our room, making it the easiest check-in ever. Parking was easy and convenient. We would highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again!

Extremely close to all the bars! The pool area was lovely! Only complaints are the room was still kind of warm even with the ac pumping and there could be some towels by the pool! Will definitely stay here in the future!

The staff were very friendly, the other guests were enjoyable to sit with in the common area. The rooms were clean and the grounds were well kept. The heated pool was a plus.

The drain in the shower smelled like sewer something terrible. Made the whole room smell.

I was genuinely surprised by how dirty and unkept the room was. . The outdoor pools are nice, but does not make up the dirty room and bad service

A positive is it’s extremely close to the bars, I’ve heard some of the other rooms are nicer but mine was soooooo bad, from the dirty sock on the floor to the roach crawling the night stand, and black mold around the air vent. I expected more for over 600 for 2 nights.

I let the owner know that I didn’t sleep that good due to the undersized portable ac unit for the room. It’s not what I was expecting. I sure it would of handled better in the winter in FL, but not when it’s 100 in June.

Very convenient to everything but walls are paper thin. At 9:45pm someone beat on the wall that I was too loud and we were just talking about a TV show and 15 minutes later they beat on the wall again and I beat back this time. Toilet was very slow to flush. Property needs a major renovatiion but staff were very nice.

No working wi- fi, no working safe no working tv

Paying for the excellent location. Nice pool but the room was desperately in need of updating.

Beautiful room and tried to make it very comfortable. Some draw backs: The door had broken blind that were inside and we couldn’t access. Luckily they were closed enough for privacy. The shower had no curtain. Luckily the bathroom Matt was large enough to prevent slipping. The remotes for the TV were not operable. No biggie because of your generous WiFi, streaming on my iPad helped. Thank you for ease of communication and friendliness.

Think of it as an Air BnB. There is no room service. You are paying for location not service. Rooms are very very VERY small. Four pools but you can only use two. It’s gay friendly but not all male exclusive. Not worth it for the price point. It’s a one time stay, not going back. The rooms were mostly empty the whole week and it was pride week if that says anything. You can only in through one side. The posted pictures do not represent the actual room you will be getting.

Pool area was attractive and well kept. My room was quite dated and weathered. The refrigerator was broken with a pool of water in the freezer section. The bed was squeaky with poor support.

5 or so days before we were set to check in, we were sent a text that an event would be taking place on one of the nights we were booked. This event took place on the entire property, including our “private” backyard. Given that it was so last minute we felt stuck with few options and little time to find somewhere else to stay. We were told we’d automatically receive tickets to the event. The entire backyard of our “private” house was taken over by the bar and event attendees. Because of that we assumed drinks and food would be complimentary to those staying at the hotel. Crazy how we so graciously were going to be given tickets to an event taking place in an area we were already paying for anyway… The “private” backyard by the way was extremely falsely advertised. There wasn’t much for privacy and had only a rope to separate our area from the community areas. Management was informed I was told they’d get back to me in a few days. A few days later I reached out again. I was told they’d reach out later that day. The next day I reached out again and was told that they (Alex) were in the middle of purchasing a home which is why they couldn’t prioritize this issue… If you are looking for professionalism, quality communication, and accurate property details, I urge you to look elsewhere for a place to stay. I tried to be patient and understanding but was continually pushed aside and eventually ignored by Alex the Property manager. Completely embarrassing service. Do better.

The perfect cozy clean solo room literally steps away from the heart of gay Wilton Manors right on the drive. Great rate and exceptional service and attention from host Michael Olson. It was just what I wanted and needed and I will definitely book with them again.

Michael the manager was helpful and professional even in light of him obviously having a lot of responsibilities and having to multi-task. The facilities, garden and rooms were great. I haven’t any complaints.

Hotel never responded to my calls, emails or messages

I would come here any time in am back in Ft Lauderdale staff are extremely kind and helpful. You are given a mobile key 🔑 that you can use to access you room as well as a code that locks and unlocks your door so never haver to worry about forgetting your key. The pools are clean and well-kept. The staff is beyond accommodatable. I would recommend anybody to stay here that would ever come to the area of town. It is absolutely fantastic.

Nobody was in the office when I arrived. The door was locked and no one was answering the phone. I sat outside for 30 minutes before a worker pulled up and found someone the assist me. Then I found out that my room was not on the property but about two streets over and needed to walk over there.

I highly recommend the Island Inn to anyone looking for a tropical oasis with a casual elegance and the most convenient walkability to the best of Wilton Drive! Alex the host was responsive, accommodating and very welcoming, and Michael the manager was so sweet and helpful but always professional. The entire property was just beautiful and clean…my partner and I travel to Wilton Manors often and we have found our new favorite home away from home!!!

First the good; the location is great, the room was clean. The welcoming text message was nice to inform me of the access codes and the room location. I appreciated being notified the room was ready an hour before check-in or I thought it was ready. Unfortunately, there is more bad than good. Upon my arrival, I wanted to take a shower since my day began early, 3:30 that morning. After opening the door, I noticed the shower was completely disassembled. I immediately notified staff of the problem. The shower was eventually repaired by the time I returned from dinner around 9:00, but it ran all night making it difficult to sleep. I notified management of the pool of water which accumulated behind the toilet. Adding to the shower noise was the portable air conditioning unit in the room. The unit was not able to cool the room enough for comfort, and it ran constantly and was very loud. When I notified an employee about the AC they replied the wall/central AC should be working. I could never get the wall AC to turned on. I would say the most disappointing aspect of the whole visit was the lack of communication with the management. I texted the staff on the phone number I had but the management failed to reply to me or provide any updates on the progress of repairs. I personally don’t feel I received the value I paid. After sharing my experiences with the management. No, one took the time to reach out to me directly to offer any type of remedy.. very sad.

Great location! It's close to so many restaurants, bars, and shopping. It's a very walkable area. Lounging by the pool was great as well. Very friendly staff.

The positives , close to Wilton drive , clean rooms and grounds . Staff very helpful but had to ask for everything including pool towels and no room service . Negatives , Heated pool very small and not enough lounge chairs for guests . No hot tub except when booking the house on the property which was very open to the rest of the guests to see but not use. Felt like we were lower class people . The place also boast to be lgbt clothing optional but it is not all male so beware. Prob will not return to this property again unless they open all the features to every guest.
