Perfect spot for a visit to the County! Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Easy parking and several dining options within walking distance.

Very spacious room, worth the price with the nice additions like pickleball, ping pong, fresh cookies and croissants every day.

Hôtel avec literie inconfortable (oreillers et matelas) et climatisation très bruyante avec absence de nettoyage des filtres. Peu de rangement et environnement avec vue sur un parking. Restauration correcte et personnel gentil. En résumé, pas au niveau du prix payé. ( 1 borne de recharge pour VE sur 2 une fonctionnait pas )

A picturesque and peaceful location on the shores of Lake Ontario. There was ample parking on site with a small stream passing under a walkway to the sauna close by. Our room was charming and comfortable with a walkout balcony and seating facing west, overlooking the stream and lake. A perfect place to view the sunset while having a relaxing discussion of the day's activities and a glass of wine. Several indoor and outdoor activities were available, including a ping pong table and a table hockey game, beside a comfortable sitting room with a warm fireplace. The restaurant was spacious with spectacular views of the beach and extensive Lake Ontario. The service was friendly and the food was excellent. Our visit was too brief, however, we left completely rejuvenated, pleased with our stay, and looking forward to returning later in the year.

Room was lovely! We didnt feel like 2nd class citizens because we had our dog with us. They also accomodated us for dinner on the patio. Wonderful visit!

The room was clean and comfortable, nice amenities including a tablet to help search for things to do in and around the county. WiFi was available and worked, but a bit slow. WiFi being important since the cellular signals in the area was weak. We enjoyed breakfast (twice) and dinner at the inn. Quality, taste and presentation of the meals were excellent. As we drove over 360km in an Electric Vehicle (EV), the availability of EV charging stations was important. Use was on a first come first serve basis, which worked fine for us, however, one of the two EV charging stations was out of service, potentially making this a challenge if many visitors were at the Inn with EVs. The Inn is well located in Wellington, very close to a grocery store, sandwich, coffee and ice cream shops as well as some art and antique shops in the area. Overall a very positive experience.

We loved this cute funky little hotel. It is apart of the “Drake Devonshire” but it is up the street on its own, more quaint and quiet, and is seriously dog friendly! When we checked in our room was equipped with 2 dog bowls and a cute pack of treats for him. We will certainly be back!

Given the brand and rates, our expectations were fairly high. The main issue with the room was cleanliness. The floor had not been mopped in a while, and the outdoor furniture was caked in dust and cobwebs. The front desk staff encouraged us to use the table in the room to communicate with them, but the tablet charger was broken. We also selected the Motor Inn because it is dog friendly (albeit for an extra $65/day fee), but were disappointed to find out this essentially meant dogs were only tolerated in the room itself. All common areas were off limits for our 5lbs, quiet and well behaved dog, which made it very difficult to enjoy the various amenities that were included in the expensive nightly rate.

Our stay at the drake was very nice. The room was spacious and clean, however just a few things fell short. First off, on our booking it said we were supposed to get coffee and pastries every morning which never happened. Not sure if it was our responsibility to order them or not but regardless we weren’t informed of it upon arrival. We also noticed mould in the shower on the ceiling. The mini fridge also kept toppling over due to being too large for the console table it was on and spilling its contents out. The remote also didn’t work for Netflix which was kind of annoying. My Expedia booking also said my remaking balance was $1800 something and ended up paying $2100 so I’m not sure why there were extra charges or why I wasn’t informed of them ahead of time. Otherwise our stay was nice, the area was easy to navigate, however it was way overpriced for what it was worth. I’d probably just book an air bnb next time.

For the price, the service level is just not there, nor is the room cleanliness. There was black mold in the shower, spider webs and dust on shelves.

Friendly staff, including front desk, and servers. Very clean, and well maintained property, both interior and exterior. Room was a vibe, and the complimentary cookies were a delightful surprise. The amenities & lounge was a bonus with a very cozy and welcoming feel. Last but not least, thank you for an early check-in!

Yes clean room great staff

The room itself was really modern, large and clean. We stayed in the flat. Very nice. However, when I booked the room, I didn’t realize that this room was not located in the Drake Devonshire property. It’s actually up the street. Not waterfront. That’s on me for not researching thoroughly, I guess. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was a lovely setting and the food and drinks were very good. The service was excellent also. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Cute motel in Prince Edward County. We went at the end of January and most of the businesses in the town were closed and the ones that were open closed early, so there isn't much to do after 8pm. I assume its more lively during the summer. Hotel staff did not accommodate an early check-in, nor did they call us when our room was ready. However, the room was clean and unique. One complaint is that the fan unit was exceptionally loud and ran all night. Overall, its a unique hotel in an county that doesn't have many options.

The Drake Devonshire is gloriously situated on the northern shores of Lake Ontario and it is a very good looking and well appointed hotel with very attentive staff. We truly enjoyed our meals on the patio overlooking the lake, they were delicious. And the service was excellent. However, our room - in the main part of the hotel - was not adequately sound proof. Until about 10:30-11pm there was music from the ubiquitous speakers spread throughout the property and at about 5-6 am the next morning asking with a truck idling outside while making a delivery there was the almost constant chatter from some voices outside our room (staff? early rising guests? I dunno). It didn't help that the games room was essentially right outside our door... Anyhow, if we return, week definitely ask for another, quieter room.

I appreciated the effort put into making the Drake Motor Inn cool to look at in photos, it’s fun and kitschy to see. The room itself was quite basic. The bathrooms might have seemed like a good idea on paper but the glass door means you have no privacy and the door is open air at the top so all manner of sound and smell can be witnessed from the bedroom area. Some things should just be ideas-they don’t work for life. The experience down at Devonshire is probably far superior to the motor inn experience; there is no front desk there or staff to answer questions. The phone, tv and Wi-Fi were all non-functional so no way to call the front desk at the Devonshire to get help, and our phones didn’t get cell signal inside the room. The front desk at Devonshire never once answered our call live, we had to leave a message and wait for a return call. We even tried emailing them to get a response and the answers were delayed by a long wait. They finally told us the whole building was without internet services and there was no ETA. It looked as though it had been out for several days but no effort was made to tell us until we asked for it to be fixed. The room had a vast supply of minibar items including candy, drinks and wine but there was no price list to be found to determine what charges you’d find on your card afterward. Overall would never stay again or recommend for the price. (400/night)

The room was beautifully decorated with a retro-chic aesthetic. Loved the coziness of the room and common area. Unfortunately, I took a star off for the king sized bed. It was too soft and there were noticeable indentations from prior use. This place is dog friendly if you’ve got a fur baby!

The queen-bed room was small but efficient with a glass partition between bathroom and the room. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant excellent with a beautiful view of the lake. The main disappointment was that we were staying at the Drake Motor Inn and the view was that of the parking lot. I have known that there will be no lake views but when going to the county, I didn't expect to have a view of a parking lot for over $600 per night. I would triple check with the hotel about which room I am getting if I were to ever stay there again.

Will not be coming back. The food and restaurant staff were good, and the room was nice with a comfortable bed. However, the room was beside part of the kitchen. It was extremely loud with slamming doors until almost midnight, and started up again both Saturday and Sunday mornings at 4:45am. We did advise staff and they said they could clear the area, they certainly didn’t seem surprised by the complaint so I suspect this isn’t a unique issue. They did get the staff to stop after 20 minutes, but it didn’t stop them from starting again a few hours later. If you value a good sleep on vacation this isn’t the place for you!

Because I booked on Expedia none of the contactless check in process worked - this should be rectified. The mattress in the pull out bed was horrible - ended up putting it in the floor. Drake should do better.

The Motel is nice, we had many problems getting into our room as the door was locked and key did not work. It was hard to find the room and you were on your own getting there. There could have been coffee in the common area? The restaurant is amazing with wonderful food staff and seating.

Impeccable service — especially from Victoria, who went above and beyond at every turn. Her genuine sense of hospitality instantly made us feel at home. Throughout our stay, she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, offered fantastic local recommendations, and made sure every detail was perfect. We’ll absolutely be back — and recommending it to anyone heading to Prince Edward County.

Stayed at the motor inn and it was exceptional! Location is excellent (a two minute walk to the lake, beside a brewery with great food and two great cafes, plus a number of other restaurants), the property and rooms are well decorated and beautiful, and the staff is so welcoming and accommodating. Will be back!!

A beautiful hotel in PEC and close by to wineries, fantastic restaurants, local cocktail bars. The property is fantastic for a girls trip weekend!
