The good: The views from the hotel were awesome. Very helpful and courteous staff. Great breakfast setup and variety. The bad: Room were not clean and we saw far more ants in the bathroom than we would’ve liked. Location requires climbing stairs down to the beach or up to the town (and we are talking serious climbing:-). Not a problem for young people but can be arduous for older folks.

The apartment and location were fantastic! Only problem is that you are halfway up between Taormina and Isola Bella (the beach) with 308 steps up and 253 down so it keeps you fit! Very friendly staff and beautiful outlook from the swimming pool. Definitely recommend it.

The grounds and pool are lovely, the views sublime, and the rooms are clean. The staff is warm and welcoming-- I left an item at the airport and they were very patient and kind in helping me get it back. We enjoyed the 10 minute walk down the staircase to the sky gondola to get into Taormina Center-- a pretty way to start the day. Then the stairs back up later were my workout (or it's easy to get a taxi). Taormina is a pretty, fun town to visit (with incredible food!) but I was glad we stayed in a more peaceful place off the beaten track.
