We got the last spot in the parking lot and it was very tight getting in and out of it. Bath tub was very slippery, an accident waiting to happen. Not that it mattered, no regular channels on TV were available, only SAMSUNG PLUS.

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Arlington Hotel here in Paris Ontario. The staff are welcoming and very friendly, and made us feel very much at home. There are great common spaces on the main floor of the hotel and a lovely side and back patio to sit and enjoy food and drink while people watching. We found our bed and Nina Simone room very comfortable and nicely decorated. We highly recommend the Arlington.

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Arlington Hotel here in Paris Ontario. The staff are welcoming and very friendly, and made us feel very much at home. There are great common spaces on the main floor of the hotel and a lovely side and back patio to sit and enjoy food and drink while people watching. The hotel is quaint, very nice but I had problem with the parking. The lot was taken up by members of the hotel management. I had to park a block away. I was able to get my car into the lot finally at 5:30. Very inconvenient.

This hotel has lots of character being a very old building and is well located downtown Paris close to restaurants and the river - very pretty location. Being an older building though, the room was fairly small, with sloped ceiling and smelt a bit musty. They did a great job making a fun theme to modernize it, ie. based on different famous people.

The room we stayed in was overlooking the Grand River St. Lovely view, however, if you’d like a quiet night choose one of the rooms in the back, as there was the odd late night motorcyclist… The room was super clean, cozy (loved the pictures on the wall), and the bathroom was spotless. Super grateful for the deep bathtub, and it was nice to relax our muscles after a long day of bike ride. Breakfast was good. All in all we had a lovely stay.

The staff (front desk and breakfast) were friendly and answered our requests as needed. No issues service wise. Our room was missing a ceiling tile likely had to repair something in the ceiling at one point. Otherwise the room was clean.

Beautiful hotel constructed circa 1851. Uniquely themed rooms which are large, have amazing ceiling height and plenty of windows in our room. Due to the age of the building sound transmission or attenuation is difficult to achieve, so you may experience a lot of exterior noise sick as street vehicular traffic, but this is typical due to the construction of the building. A beautiful library bar, as well as cellar bar. Wonderful walkable establishments near by, but note some stores or establishments are not open on Monday and Tuesday. Would definitely return.

Quaint room, we should have gone for a suite because our standard room was quite small. Toilet right behind the door was not ideal. Don’t like fabric curtains that get drenched when you take a shower. And wasn’t a big fan on the central heating and cooling system— extremely noisy. And not to mention the parking situation. Had to park several blocks down the street because their parking lot is soooo small. Not fun when you have two young children.

We didn't know when we booked this hotel that the rooms were themed. What a great idea for such a fantastic place. We were lucky enough to get the Mary Shelley room and it didn't disappoint. The room was clean, the bed was more comfortable than most hotels I've stayed at. The only downfall was the a.c. unit was louder than expected. I slept through it, but my wife had some issues with the noise. The complementary breakfast was perfect. A good selection of food and drinks to build up your energy for wandering around town.

Property/room has character. Clean, well located. The air conditioning system is loud and we had a minor problem with the toilet which we understood management was going to look into - we stayed one night and the problem wasn't urgent. The continental breakfast is sufficient but nothing fancy. We would stay here again.

The hotel was very convenient as I was attending a wedding on the ground level of the hotel. The room was very nice and clean. The different themed rooms was a neat touch. I did have some issues, though. I could not get the deadbolt to work on my door, so my door was never able to be properly locked once inside. The hotel is quite noisy surprisingly. Not sure if it’s the plumbing, or heating/AC or a combination of all of these. It’s an old building so I expect some noises, but I found it very loud at times. For such a small town, I found the street noise outside of my window quite loud too, but I guess since it is at the main intersection on the main street in Paris that’s to be expected. My door also had a large gap at the bottom that let in a lot of light from the hallway which also was not ideal when the bed faced the door. In the morning I found my bathroom absolutely freezing, almost like the window had been open all night, but obviously it wasn’t. Overall, despite the issues I experienced, the hotel was very nice, very clean, and above all else, convenient. Although pricey for one night’s stay, I would consider staying again if needed.

Great one night getaway. Restaurants within walking distance Paris Beer Co nearby, too. Had the Oscar Wilde suite, huge space. Heritage property so expect all that comes with that (bit darker room, slightly wonky floor), but a really cool place to stay. Will be back, without question.

Starting from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like valued guests. The front desk clerk was so kind and gracious, she went out of her way to bring us wine glasses and a bucket of ice when she saw we arrived with bottle of wine. Our room was clean and comfortable, we sat and enjoyed our wine before heading out to dinner. The front desk clerk gave us a 10/10 restaurant recommendation for our dinner plans. The restaurant was a short walk away. We absolutely loved our girls getaway to Paris and the Arlington Hotel

Staff were super-accommodating in making the stay comfortable for not only us but our pet dog as well. They showered him with love and attention! Breakfast was also wonderful. Thanks for a great stay and super staff!

The hotel room was very clean, spacious, and had great air conditioning. Bathroom was clean and had extra toiletries which were appreciated (soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer). There was also an ironing board which we needed and were glad was there ! Breakfast was included, and it was ok. I’ve had better breakfasts at other hotels if I’m being honest. The only complaint we had, which is of no fault of the hotel staff, was the loud wedding party who came in after 2am and would not stop loudly talking, yelling, and coming in and out of the room until past 4am. My partner unfortunately did not get sleep due to this. We even phoned in a noise complaint past 3:30am. If hotel guests can’t show basic etiquette for their neighbours like being quiet after a late night out, there should be a hotel staff to give them a warning. The hotel’s security guard did come upstairs before 4:00am, but he told one of the wedding party guests that he was “doing a security check.” I would have hoped he’d be transparent and share that someone had complained about how rowdy they were.

Everything about our stay at the Arlington was positive. The only big issue is the construction on the main street right across the road. 2 year project replacing water lines. The main street will be very pretty again but not now.

Not the hotel's issue but local long term construction in the area created a lot of noise and heavy traffic around the hotel. Nice that hotel allowed dogs but weather not nice enough to use the patio where the dog was allowed. enjoy staying in historical buildings in small towns like this.

Not the hotel's issue but local long term construction in the area created a lot of noise and heavy traffic around the hotel. Nice that hotel allowed dogs but weather not nice enough to use the patio where the dog was allowed. enjoy staying in historical buildings in small towns like this.

We had a wonderful stay at the Arlington! We stayed in the Tolkien room and it was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the decor. There are boutiques, cafes and restaurants on the same street and more within walking distance. There is also access to trails to go for a nice walk nearby. It was so nice that breakfast was included and we enjoyed the variety of things to choose from.

Overall excellent for the price - would love to see some historical info posted on the hotel - also - the breakfast hot food could be a little better - hard to keep eggs warm and not taste like rubber!

Unique hotel but unfortunately our room faced the main road and it was very noisy. Bar was closed and breakfast hours were very early and over by 9.

Really nice rooms which were themed, tastefully. Clean & comfortable. Couldn't fault the rooms at all , not spacious but absolutely fine. Restaurant turned out to be the bar with meals available. Options on the menu were limited but good selection of drinks. Unfortunately we stayed over on quiz night which wasn't the most relaxing. The included breakfast was adequate but nothing special and when we went for breakfast there seemed to be a very 'hands off' approach

Breakfast was great! Dinner at the library bar was not. Food there was average at best. The hotel itself was cute and comfortable. It’s an old building so the floors and walls were thin and you could hear commotion all around your room. Service was good and I would go again!

A lot of choice for breakfast, but the eggs and sausage were a bit dry. It isn’t the same as other BW hotels and the others were more of an omelette that stayed fresher much longer.

Lewis Carroll's suite was adorable and spacious! A little too hot and couldn't turn the heat down:/ The coffee machine was broken. The breakfast was disappointing unfortunately.. I guess I hoped for something more various (dry egg pieces, small dry bagels, no cream cheese, cheese or ham or bacon) for that price, but maybe the locals have a different opinion.

Other than the Arlington Hotel being a heritage building, there is nothing to warrant the Best Western Signature designation. The "free breakfast" was simply put, awful, as illustrated by the signifigant number of virtually full plates abandoned on tables. Best advise is go a neighbouring coffee shop and pay for a good coffee and pastry.

The frames in the suite have Dusty (suite#304) the bathroom door isn't properly closed. The housekeeper didn't come for cleaning before we came in.

We stayed at your hotel on a Sunday and encountered limited on-site parking, so we used the public lot about a five-minute walk away. The stay was uneventful until 1:00 AM, when the wedding party that had been on-site that day returned. They stood directly outside our door, talking and laughing loudly, until 1:30 AM. Just as we thought the noise had stopped, they continued the commotion further down the hallway, repeatedly opening and slamming doors for quite a while in our hardly sound proof room. When we brought this up with the front desk, we were told that because we didn't call during the disturbance, compensation wasn't warranted. However, we'd ask you to put yourself in our shoes. Once you've been jolted awake in the middle of the night, the last thing you want to do is turn on the lights and fumble for the front desk number. At that hour, you simply hope for basic courtesy from fellow guests—and empathy from management when you report it the next morning.
