We were upgraded to a 3 person room which was nice to have the extra room. The hotel has been remodeled and has modern large shower. Very quiet except people that let their doors slam. Very receptive staff and convenient from Central Station.

I have never experienced a hotel that refuses to store luggage after check-out—until now. We stayed for 8 days in a 4-bed room, traveling across continents with large suitcases (4 check-in and 4 cabin bags) and a wheelchair for my mother. Given the circumstances, we expected at least a basic level of accommodation from the staff. However, when we asked to store our luggage for a short time after check-out, the staff outright refused. Even after explaining that we needed to take some bags to the Central Station first—on foot, while pushing my mother’s wheelchair—the response was shockingly cold. Instead of understanding our situation, he pressed us again: “What time will you be back?” As if he couldn’t wait to get rid of the rest of our suitcases. This was an incredibly disappointing and inhumane experience, especially for a group of four women, including a 70+ year-old grandmother and a 13-year-old child. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially given the lack of basic hospitality and the unkind attitude of the staff.

Excellent service from the receptionist . We arrived with my friend very early morning and left our luggage for free of charge and the evening we got back to the hotel and our luggage was in our room already very kind and helpful staff.

Vi gillade hotellet! Vi sov och duschade i princip bara på rummet då vi var ute hela dagarna men det var bra och tyst läge och rummet var litet men fräscht och fint. Hotellet hade hiss (vilket är ovanligt i Amsterdam) och personalen var jättetrevlig.

Felt safe as a solo traveller. Quiet in the evenings. Great location to Amsterdam Centraal station. 24hr concierge very lovely and helpful. Stayed in single room. Very small, but that's all I needed as I was out all day anyway.

Lage ist als Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Innenstadt ideal. Auch die Nähe zum Bahnhof ist von Vorteil. Es ist etwas laut, da an einer Hauptstraße gelegen. Leider lässt die Sauberkeit und der Zustand der Einrichtung zu wünschen übrig. Das Personal war hingegen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

The hotel was very well located, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was super clean. We found the shower didn’t drain super well and on our last night there was a group of people who were being ridiculously loud outside at 3 am. It woke me up but my son and partner slept through it. This isn’t the hotel’s fault but something to be aware of for people considering staying here. The hotel is on a relatively busy street and near a bar, if you’re at the front part of the hotel you may hear people outside. It was only the last night that we experienced this and overall we would go back!

Avoid staying here! Dirty sheets and overall dirty stay. Great location but that’s about it. Pretty positive there were bed bugs at this place. Upon arrival there were lots of stains on our sheets and we asked staff for new ones - they changed them to new sheets but these also had stains and just flipped them over. Breakfast is absolutely not worth the extra fee - just go somewhere else.

Bedbugs alert! Som udgangspunkt et fint hotel med god placering. Da vi tjekkede ind blev vi mødt at et rigtig venligt personale og alt var godt. Vores værelse lå som det eneste på 6. etage med udsigt ud over byens tage, desværre kunne vi ikke åbne vinduerne, så ingen frisk luft kun aircon. Da vi skal til at gå i seng ved midnatstid ser jeg den første store bedbug på væggen og hurtig en mere. Så kiggede jeg i vores senge og fandt med det samme en mere. Vi gik i receptionen, der hjalp med et nyt hotel, da alt var booket. Fin service kl. 01 om natten. Lad mig understrege at personalet var venlige og hjælpsomme, min bedømmelse går udelukkende på at vi fandt så store bedbugs at de må have været der længe. Når der så samtidig er flere der nævner bedbugs i deres anmeldelse kunne det tyde på at hotellet ikke får gjort noget ved problemet. Da vi havde booket hotellet pga. forretningsrejse og en central placeringen var det naturligvis til stor gene at vi skulle til at skifte hotel midt om natten og til et hotel længere væk fra centrum.

Great hotel conveniently only a few blocks from the central train station. Also very close to the Grand Place and tons of restaurants. Lovely and helpful staff. Room was clean and quiet. Water pressure a bit weak.

I was pleasantly surprised by this stay. I had low expectations because the hotel entrance is small and unimpressive. However, the room felt well maintained, modern and clean. Moreso, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Albergo piccolo, ma carino. Vicinissimo alla stazione centrale di amsterdam (600 m circa) camera piccola e carina. Molto pulito ed essenziale. La colazione per 18€ è un po minimal, ma diciamo che per i pezzi del cibo nei dintorni siamo in linea.

The WiFi signal was very strong with bandwidth exceeding 150 mbps consisently. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and spoke English well. What I didn’t really like was 1) The shower size was extremely small and only partially covered by partition (it does not wrap around so there’s no enclosure, causing water to splash out while showering. 2) Our room was on the street side. This street in general was very noisy from passing cars and human voices from the street. Hence, if you’re a light sleeper, be sure to ask for a quiet room not facing the street. Also, Expedia mentioned I should have received a welcome gift (e.g. bottled water for each guest. Yet, staff refused to issue one. No big deal, I just went to the supermarket anyways for water. Other than that, all else was very good.

The rooms are extremely small. There is no room to open the suitcase, you need to put it on the bed. The hotel is in a good location, the Central station is about a 7 minute walk and it’s very close to Damrak which has good shopping and several good restaurants. There is a restaurant that just opened close by, the Prince Charming Bar and Kitchen that had great food, give it a try.

The rooms are extremely small. There is no room to open the suitcase, you need to put it on the bed. The hotel is in a good location, the Central station is about a 7 minute walk and it’s very close to Damrak which has good shopping and several good restaurants. There is a restaurant that just opened close by, the Prince Charming Bar and Kitchen that had great food, give it a try.

This was a disaster from the moment I walked in the door (after finally finding it). I should have turned and walked out. They claim I had 2 reservations and forced me to pay for them because one wasn't canceled. They would not budge and still won't. If that wasn't enough, their claim to being within walking distance of so many attractions, was indeed false. When I told the woman who greeted me upon my arrival, she showed me a map and said I couldn't walk to my destination at all. I could either take 2 trains or get an uber. So I got an Uber. The straw that broke the camel's back happened when I was stranded by an Uber driver who said he couldn't drive me to the hotel because of construction so I had to get out right where we were on a busy street. The driver told me to walk across to "that building" and I'd be there. Not so. I had GPS apps and they all sent me in circles. Where the hotel comes in is this: I called the hotel to explain what happened and told the woman at the desk exactly where I was. I asked her if she could help me get back to the hotel. She snapped at me saying how was she supposed to help me if she didn't know where I was? Use google maps, she said. When I returned to the hotel after finding it somehow, she told me off again. I went upstairs and immediately called around until I got another room. I checked out the next morning around 7am.

Where the hotel comes in is this: I called the hotel to explain what happened and told the woman at the desk exactly where I was. I asked her if she could help me get back to the hotel. She snapped at me saying how was she supposed to help me if she didn't know where I was? Use google maps, she said. When I returned to the hotel after finding it somehow, she told me off again. I went upstairs and immediately called around until I got another room. I checked out the next morning around 7am.

I have never experienced a hotel that refuses to store luggage after check-out—until now. We stayed for 8 days in a 4-bed room, traveling across continents with large suitcases (4 check-in and 4 cabin bags) and a wheelchair for my mother. Given the circumstances, we expected at least a basic level of accommodation from the staff. However, when we asked to store our luggage for a short time after check-out, the staff outright refused. Even after explaining that we needed to take some bags to the Central Station first—on foot, while pushing my mother’s wheelchair—the response was shockingly cold. Instead of understanding our situation, he pressed us again: “What time will you be back?” As if he couldn’t wait to get rid of the rest of our suitcases. This was an incredibly disappointing and inhumane experience, especially for a group of four women, including a 70+ year-old grandmother and a 13-year-old child. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially given the lack of basic hospitality and the unkind attitude of the staff.

Excellent service from the receptionist . We arrived with my friend very early morning and left our luggage for free of charge and the evening we got back to the hotel and our luggage was in our room already very kind and helpful staff.

We loved our stay at this hotel which is walking distance from central station and most of the tourist attractions ( except museum district and jordaan) in Amsterdam . Front desk staff Melvin and Brandon were very helpful, courteous and accommodating and that is also one of my reasons to give this hotel best rating .

O hotel é um excelente custo benefício para quem quer ficar próximo do centro de Amsterdã - os preços na época que fui eram bem altos. Porém, não houve serviço de quarto nos dias que ficamos - apenas no último dia apareceu, mas já eram 17h. Em uma das manhãs, faltou bastante produto para o café, pois só uma pessoa estava responsável pelo café e recepcionista. O café também é muito pequeno. É um ótimo custo benefício, mas é só para dormir.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. A very friendly staff was knowledgeable and helped make our overall experience in Amsyerdam enjoyable. We werent crazy about the Continental breakfast, although the lady that oversaw our breakfast sang while she worked.

The bedrooms was very good and clean with a view of the canal. the breakfast selection was poor and on one day a Friday when we arrived for breakfast at 8.45 there was very little selection left on the tables and was not restocked and staff attending made no effort to get some some more. some detail instructions how to use the air conditioning would be helpful as back in Ireland very few private properties need air-condition. The staff on the desk very helpful.

Very friendly check in. Room was spacious with three beds, a chair, desk and cupboard for gear, kettle and cups. window opens. No shower gel or shampoo supplied only three hair conditioners. Shower pressure adequate and very hot water. No shelf to put cake of soap provided. Room was tired - paint work was very marked. Excellent position to walk from Central station. Has small modern elevator. Breakfast was well catered with good selection of bread, cakes, meats, cheese, cereal and fruit. Coffee machine and fruit juices. No hot options apart from boiled eggs which were nice.

The three bed room was spacious and comfortable, albeit quite basic. The bathroom very nice with plenty of hot water. The location is central but not smack bang in the middle of everything. It requires a short walk to the tourist spots. On the other hand it is quiet at night. The breakfast is basic but it works.

My fault I booked the petite room without windows but I didn’t realise how small it would be nor that it would be below street level. This room was tiny, couldn’t walk all the way around the bed or have suitcases open. Very noisy at night when people stop above on the street to talk. It is a good location for being close to the train station and central Amsterdam. Buffet breakfast was good and a reasonable price. Room was clean and housekeeping ws good. Get a room upstairs if staying here.

Stayed here for two days with my 16 year old son as part of a father/son Europe trip. We had a room with two twin beds…yes, the room was small but that’s what we expected and wasn’t a problem for us considering we spend little time in the hotel. It was quiet, clean, affordable, and in a great location. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

I reserved two nights in a room without windows, which I actually like because they tend to be quieter. The room they gave me for the first night had a small window to the outside where people were gathering all night talking and laughing. Then, the room was right next to their laundry room and they were doing laundry all night nonstop and the walls were vibrating. It was impossible to sleep. A terrible way to start your vacation. Very reluctantly, they gave me a different room for the second night. Another issue was that the price I was told when I booked was €249.79 plus €29.75 of local tax for a total of €313.22. They charged me €324.66 stating that the local tax was €36 and charged me another €5.19 without explanation for a total extra of €11.44. Why can’t they be upfront about the room situation and the actual amount instead of surprising the guests at the last minute?
