It was good for the price. The bathroom was always clean and regularly maintained by housekeeping. There aren’t any lifts so if you have any large suitcases, it may be a struggle lifting those up with the narrow stairs. Excellent location too with close proximity to tube station (Aldgate East)!

Shared bathroom on every floor so even if it’s busy when you need it there’s another one to choose from. Shared kitchen with kitchen, microwave and fridge. All rooms have a keypad on the door for privacy. Bed comfy although could do with a mattress turn as it was flat on one side but still comfy. Would book again.

Pros - Property is a 10 min walk from Liverpool Street (where you can pick upon the express trains, underground and National Express) and Aldgate East Station. There are plenty food choices of within seconds. There is a street food set up for lunch around the corner. Tesco Express and Sainsbury Local is 5 mins away. Free washing machine. You would have to pay for dryer. Cons - No elevator. The bathroom and rooms doors are very loud when they close. Kitchen is not as equipped as other places I have stayed.

Simple, easy and clean. Convenient for a couple nights stay near Liverpool Street station and the surrounding area. It’s fine noise wise, but you will hear outside in the morning when businesses are setting up but can’t hear other guests and there is pretty much everything you need in your room. I’d say a box of tissues would have been good given its summer season! Bathroom was clean (note no toiletries so bring your own). Fan provided in the room was useful too.

Basic accommodation in a great location. We had a private bathroom which made life easier, the shared kitchen is a nice touch but a kettle in the room would have been a God send. Check in was easy enough and the girl who met us was lovely. That said she was the only member of staff we saw during our 4 night stay, not that this was a problem for us. Small room with nowhere to sit other than the bed, fine for a short and activity packed stay but would not have been comfortable for any longer period of time. Very convenient for Tube station , shops and the vibrant Brick Lane area. Not suitable for those who mobility issues due to lots of stairs and no lifts. Great value for money, cheap for London

Clean, efficient check in, good value. Only negative being the cold shower in the morning (in both of the upper bathrooms). If this was fixed I’d stay again.

The place was so clean and we had no problems with our neighbours. The only issue was with showers, sometimes there was no water pressure and was just drops but fine otherwise. And very hard to find lol just a door with the name in small letters in my own opinion. My daughter found the place ok to find though.

Right outside the property there are shop stands that sell cheap food and clothing. Room is small and toilet are shared. Showers heater is very bad and sensitive, it can turn very hot and very cold but not in between. Sometimes the water will become very cold/hot all of a sudden.

We enjoyed this place! It was unique and felt safe. The outdoor space was lovely and we appreciated the kitchen.

Check in process was easy and Mr. Nicola was very kind in showing us our room and letting us know how the doors work. The bathroom was also always clean and we didn’t hear much noise from neighboring rooms. Outside, however, is very noisy. Since there is no AC we had the window open and could hear everything. There is also a market that gets set up very early I believe every Sunday morning which disturbed sleep. Other than that stay was perfect!

Very clean in every common parts, comfy room, welcoming staff. We really enjoyed our 6 nights-stay at Monopoly Accommodations and we will definitely come back during our next trip in London

The people at reception were absolutely fantastic, very good communication from booking up to arrival. Thank you very much you were really lovely and helpful. Prices are cheap for London and the room was perfectly ok keeping that in mind. A little bit more cleanliness wouldn’t have done any harm. But a bed to sleep and enough towels for the bathroom were really ok. Room was very cold upon arrival but that got fixed with the heaters. Location is close to the Tube, close to the Financial District (where I needed to be for an job interview) but therefore in the evening very deserted, no shops, no restaurants, quite a dark street and a bit scary if you walk there on your own.

Shower cracked, heater didn’t work and in a very dodgy area of town! Bed was comfy and hard flooring was appreciated instead of carpets! Struggled to find the place not very well Signed and large groups of lads hanging around outside! The check in was weird too… the guy showed me to my room then came in to show me the bathroom etc… weird but also not right as a lone female!

Overall was a good stay. People were helpful and receiving. Only thing was the hotel was fully carpet and since it was old it had an old smell to the place. Good if you’re just relying on getting a place to just sleep since it is around the tubes, busses, and great activities

Met on arrival and given an appropriate guide to facilities. Shared bathroom was clean and tidy as was shared kitchen. Room was as described in photographs and also clean. Comfortable mattress, fan provided. Location surprisingly quiet given its central location and I had a good night's sleep. Conveniently located near Aldgate, Aldgate East and Liverpool Street stations, it made onwards travel easy.

Accommodation was ok for the night we stayed. Shared bathroom was outside our door and was clean and up to standard. Location is great, 5 min walk to Liverpool St Station. Street food stalls outside during the day if hungry and plenty of street shops

Good position for visiting London, Room and Toilet very Clean

Carpets were dirty, bed had some small bugs in-between the duvet and sheet. Room was also freezing and the small electric radiator could warm the room up. This was more like a hostel thank a hotel. In the end I booked alternative accomodation and cursed myself for thinking this would be an acceptable place to stay.

Nice and clean. Metro/Bus are nearby. Only thing is, the walls are very thin. You can here the other guests. I enjoyed my stay very much.

The rooms are exactly as shown, bed, dresser & side table. There is no air conditioning, and not sure of the part of town we were in, but the people were loud, so it was either not get any sleep with the window open, or roast to death with the window closed. Not a huge fan of the shared bathroom, but again, it was stated it was shared.

My wife and I had a great 3 night stay at this hotel. We booked a double room with a shared bathroom. The room was small but had everything we needed, especially since we were out most of the time. Despite being in the city, it was fairly quiet at night. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear some noise, but for the price, it’s excellent value. The location is also very convenient, with everything you need close by.

The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was okay also. The hotel is very hidden and the location is not very nice. But you can get to the Undergroundstation very quick. Unfortunately the walls seemed to be very thin, that‘s why we heard or room neighbor very loud.

Okay. But walls are paper thin and when guests bang around at early hours you can hear everything... Shame as great spot.

Check instructions were unclear. I was waiting 15 mins to get in to the building. Only because another guest was leaving was i able to get in and get to the reception.

1st, I sent an email on 9/14/24 to the property owner asking if towels and linens were included with the stay so that I could be prepared ahead of time. Not 1 response. 2nd, the day prior to my arrival, the Owner emailed to ask me what time I would be checking in because there are late fees for check-ins past 10PM. Still no response regarding my email about linens & towels. I called to ask for direction to his establishment because there were no visible signs on the street. His 1st response was "what phone # did you call me on? WhatsApp?" Thought that was odd, but ok. He tells me to wait on the street corner about a block away and he will come get me. His version of getting me was sticking his head out of the door and screaming my name. odd, but again, ok. I get inside and had quite a bit of luggage, and this man watched me struggle the entire time of hauling it up 3 flights of stairs. He and his daughter (I believe it was, or possibly his wife) escorted me to my room, but not after the owner took a very nasty bowel movement in the guest bathroom, and then had the audacity to show me the room. Once I got to the room i'd be staying in, the 1st thing I notice is the smell and the loud noise of the street workers. The window was being propped propped with a stick, the room had a musk smell and the noise on the street would have been way to loud to sleep. Finally, they tell me there is no one on the property between the hours of 1pm to 10pm.

Felt unsafe as lone female in accommodation unstaffed. Area busy in the day but returning at night via tube repeatedly approached by young men wanting to stop me. Road off main road to accommodation was desolate boarded up shops not frequented by anyone else except I saw one male ahead of me. Felt very scared. Amenities were fine and value for money but I wouldn’t risk staying in this area again

We stayed for 5 nights to explore London and it was a great place to start our daily explorations. It's beautifully located and there are many charming places nearby, such as Spitalfields Market and Bricklane Market. Tube stations are also close, within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The room was clean, but we were lucky to have booked the third floor room with a separate bathroom. As the walls are quite thin, you can hear everything that's going on in your neighbour's room or even downstairs. That said, we had an overall good experience staying at Monopoly Accommodations and we would highly recommend this place.

Lovely room, clean and quiet. Full kitchen (shared) available for use including washing machine, iron and ironing board. Close to market, shops, restaurant, rail stations and bus stops. Great connections to Central London and else where this side of London. Ideal - would definitely consider staying again.

The stay was pretty much clean and the host gave instructions very clearly. The room size is perfect. Not too small, not too big either. The washrooms are shared and there are 3 of them. So never actually faced a problem with them. The area around the place at night is always a little dirty and might seem a little shady (though nothing happened). Lots of restaurants around the place and walking distance from a lot of attractions like the tower bridge.

Great location for us as we were attending a gig at Village Underground & it was a 15min walk

We could hardly find it. Our Uber driver dropped us off but there was a street market going on so we trudged onto the street. My GPS said it was right there. Finally my husband read the name on a door between businesses. Every time we went back we literally had to hunt for the entrance. That may make it a safer location, but hard to find. It was more like a hostel than a hotel with shared bathrooms for some; we had our own. Facility was clean and comfortable.

Good location - close to spitalfield markets. Clean. Just needed a place to sleep and this fit the bill.
