Grand Laurel Hotel

Hotel is outdated and everything seemed to be “under maintenance”. Advertised as having a restaurant and breakfast but neither were staffed at any time. The bar was only open one night and the Top Golf Studio wasn’t working Half of the equipment in the gym was broken.

I like the room but never told me the waterpark was closed and the green areas are bad

Friendly staff, easy check-in, beautiful lobby, nice pool, comfortable atmosphere. Only one working elevator on a busy holiday weekend but overall a nice stay.

The lobby is very nice and the desk staff is helpful and welcoming. There is no access to the balcony and there is a light on it that cannot be turned off overnight! The pillows and sheets were uncomfortable, the bathroom needs updating. There was a heat wave and the AC did not cool the room part of the night and the room became more humid during that time, fyi. The elevator floors were often wet from pool guests. There was not guest coffee like many hotels and the lobby coffee shop did not open until 8am, which was a bit inconvenient. The parking lot was spacious and free, which was nice.

Clean but run down. Not well kept. Staff not very friendly. Bar open very limited hours. No water bottles in room. Gym is terrible - no towels, water, or air-conditioning. Most equipment is broken.

The elevators were both broken. The staff was great but their owner wanted them to put people on the 8th floor.

The staff was really helpful. The rooms are fine. It's not luxury, but it's great for an overnight if you have kids and want a good pool.

Asked for a quiet room and he put me overlooking the highway rather than on back side of the hotel facing . Room was not clean. Very dirty floor and found hair ties from previous occupant. Batteries missing in tv remote. Equipment in gym did not work. Overall just a bad experience.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The room smell of old smoke, the walls were very thin and there were many stains on the walls of the bathroom.

Service was ok. But the room conditions and cleanliness needs a major update. Bathroom had cracked tiles rust. And the furniture had about an inch of dust and the tv had finger prints on the screen.

The overall stay of the hotel was great and clean! The staff was extremely nice and inviting. My only complaint was the bathroom required additional cleaning. There was hair in the tub and on the floor. I understand each housekeeping has a certain number of rooms to clean but it's the little details that can deter people from staying in a hotel based on the review.

Room was nice but there were what looked like contact lenses on the floor and on the counters in the bathroom. Wasn’t sure what they were. No bags in trash cans. Looked like someone started to clean it, then stopped.

Everything was great but the bathroom was so dirty. Mold in the shower and hair all over it.

Initially walking in the hotel lobby is looks nice but the rooms looked like they don’t get cleaned properly. The shower had pink mold, the pull out couch looked terrible and the bed in the couch was disgusting. When asked for extra sheets, we were told there wasn’t any. The AC didn’t work either. Overall it wasn’t a good experience.

Room seemed cleaned until you actually start looking. Coffee maker had mildew. The bathroom had hair on the toilet and on floor. Bathtub was gross. The swimming pool was dirty. Wont be returning to this hotel.

During our visit only one elevator was working while a huge event was taking place. It was a huge traffic and a big inconvenience! Also our room a/c was just blowing air. Not cold air just air! Sleep was terrible due to the a/c malfunctioning. But aside all that it was quiet comfortable.

We had a nice stay at grand resort. The rooms were spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the AC was not working when we got into our room but they worked on it and by the middle of the night it was back on. I would stay here again

I’ve stayed here often and come into town on business weekly. I usually thoroughly enjoy the stay. Great food at the bar/restaurant, staff is always as friendly and very helpful, rooms are always clean and nice. My HUGE issue this stay was the absolutely horrible (almost nonexistent) Wi-Fi signal. The TV is all Wi-Fi, so every 1-2 minutes the loading circle would pop up for 15-30 seconds, shows would freeze, or it would just flat out lose the connection and have to be reconnected or restarted. I was able to connect to my hotspot, but quickly used up all of the data for an entire month. It might have been different if I was able to connect my work laptop and do work, but obviously that wasn’t an option.. Other than that, I guess my only other complaint would be to the parents that allow their kids to run up and down the halls and around the lobby and even bar like a playground. Extremely disappointing stay. But even worse, what is the real point of even using Expedia? When contacted they said I need to talk to the hotel, even though I purchased through Expedia. The hotel said they wouldn’t do anything, and Expedia said they couldn’t. Just me getting tossed around with everyone pointing fingers with zero care or ability to do anything. So, what is Expedia actually good for, or what are they actually doing in the entire process? Just a pointless middle man? Why wouldn’t the hotel just offer the same rates on their website?! I guess you get what you pay for with Expedia.

The room was not sound proof so we could hear the adjacent room very easily. It was awkward to hear the neighboring room getting busy if you know what I mean . Our tub didn’t drain well at all. The room was overall clean and the check in process was easy.

My room ac was not working properly

When I first entered room it was 70 degrees. I then left for dinner and temperature upon my return (3 hours later) was 87. I then went down stairs after calling and being told that they would let the engineer know. After 10 minutes of clicking on her keyboard the hotel clerk gave me a key to room on executive floor. Unfortunately the temperature of the new room was Over 80 degrees. I promptly returned downstairs for a 3rd room. The third room was fine (temperature wise) but the tv did not allow you to watch tv without having to login to YouTube.

The property was okay but the staff there wasn’t. Particularly the manager. She ruined the holiday stay for my self and another family because of her nasty attitude. She failed basic knowledge of customer service when she approached guests at the pool and started an unnecessary confrontation because she was not prepared and had a nasty attitude. She needs to be reminded that you get the energy that you put out there and that in the end the customer is right. I would never want to go back

Dirty room - no housekeeping rude front desk

The staff was excellent! Every one going above and beyond.

The women working the front desk was very rude. She had no knowledge of the area. Anytime i tried to ask a question her response was short rude.. like i was bothering her. The hotel itself was nice an clean. Just sucked having someone so rude working the front desk. Cant remember her name.. but she wore bright purple lipstick every day i seen her.

My husband and daughter arrived and were told their room was given away on a lower floor so they were relocated. They went up to their room where their key didn’t work. They went down to the front desk and got another key. Didn’t work. Waited 30 minutes to get help. When someone arrived, they used a master key and let them in. My husband never received a room key for their stay. They were stuck. Thankfully, they were there one night only, but it’s not acceptable to not even get a key. When my daughter got up to take a shower, it took forever for the water to get warm enough to get in and the water pressure was a trickle. Stay elsewhere.

First knock (and a major), the side doors were locked! Big safety violation! Only one way out in an emergency! Told the staff, but they didn't seem to care (just shrugged)! We had to ask for toilet tissue and towels! We won't stay there again!

Very nice hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Maid service is fast and attentive. The only thing is I haven’t got back my incidental charges total is 300.00 which is very upsetting.

The hotel is located in safe community with lot of choices of eating and shopping. The staff at the front desk greet with nice customer service. The only draw back is the building is slightly old and bathroom is smaller compare with the overall room size. Overall, I will recommend this place.

An overnight stay on the way to somewhere else. Hotel is clean comfortable and a good place to stop check in and check out. People were nice.

The property was good. The only issue I had was that it is located on a highway. The other side of the highway has a lot of stores (Walmart), and restaurants. There were no way to cross the highway on foot, unless you have a car (No walkway to cross the highway even when the traffic light was green from the hotel side)

Easy check in, large comfy room and located right off the highway so it was a perfect stop in the middle of our road trip.

If you are traveling for pleasure there’s no social scenery. The bar was empty and I wasn’t able to watch the NBA All Star event. The bar had four tv but it was connected via apps. The breakfast didn’t have enough portion. Just eggs and sausage turkey. Fruit and bread. If you just want to lay your head out relax then cook.

Room was good. Bathroom not properly cleaned. We love the dining possibility at the hotel and close by after a long trip.

I come into town every week for work. I stay here as often as possible. Great rooms, clean, quiet, friendly staff. The restaurant/bar is AWESOME! The chef is amazing, and genuinely cares.. cares enough to come out and check on almost every dish sent out, with a genuine care. I stayed there Wednesday 6/21, apparently the bartender wasn’t available.. I’m pretty sure the actual owner was bartending… which was even more fun.. he was having fun with us all.. busy bar, but we all were having fun. The wings are still my favorite, but I also haven’t been able to not order them.. because I can’t stop ordering them after having them. I HIGHLY suggest this place above any in the area!

We were pleasantly surprised by the nice modern lobby and comfortable, spacious room. We were staying while my husband underwent a hospital procedure so wanted something economical and rate was great. While the room had a huge TV, it’s a strange setup that seems more oriented to streaming than live TV and we just gave up and used our devices. While website said breakfast included, there was none and the Starbucks was only open for a few hours (due to low occupancy), so that was inconvenient.

Booked the hotel because of the restaurant & bar. Very disappointed in the actual restaurant & bar. They had limited offerings and bartender didn’t know how to make anything. Room was ok but bathroom was poor. Barely had hot water for shower. You can tell the hotel is very old. Went to the “gym” and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months.

Rugs in hallway need an update. Room comfortable for the room. Restaurant bar at 8 pm only could get fries . Desk and guy at restaurant were good .

Hotel does not have free breakfast, only on the weekends but advertised as free breakfast on hotels.com. It was the main reason we booked but was saddended when we fiund out. I did not see but hotels.com CS stated thar its in the fineprint that it only states free breakfast on the weekend. Due to this it cost me a hassle to grab breakfast somewhere every morning. Bar restaurant also not open till 6 every day.
