The location is great once you get there. Anywhere in the Centro will be a challenge to get to and there is almost no space to stop and unload near the entrance. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. No AC but the rooms had electric fans which was enough in the evening with a window open. There was noise from a nearby band playing when we went to bed but they stopped by 10pm and it was a quiet area the rest of the night. We had two rooms and in one the bathroom was extremely small, with the shower spraying onto the sink area and even close to an outlet. Parking was the biggest disapointment. The Expedia listed said they had parking available for 250 mx pesos. We finally drove to the lot they told us to go to and not only was it very far away, but they told us they did not have an agreement with our hotel and that it would cost 350 mx pesos. It was so far away we did not want to walk with suitcases all the way across town the next morning and driving to pick up our bags would be a long, complicated route. So instead we paid more for a closer public lot.

5 stars on location and the beautiful room. Little bit annoying that you need to ask front desk for hairdryer.

Esta muy bien ubicado y el personal es muy amable, sin embargo es increíble que las camas sean tan incomodas y que los televisores no tengan buena recepción. Se entiende que por estar en el centro no tengan estacionamiento pero es inaceptable que siendo uno giraré no lo dejen solo en el tema sin que ellos tengan convenios o por lo menos el número telefónico de alguno para saber si vale la pena llegar. Para llegar al hotel hay que ir caminando con las maletas (y salir igual), ya que no hay espacio ni para que se detenga un auto unos minutos.

The personal so nice, the room was clean. The only thing I didn't like that we had to look for parking I we got lost in the tunnels.

Excelente atención, limpieza y precio, solo toma en consideración que si llevas tu carro no hay estacionamiento y el más sercano está a 10 minutos caminando tienes que subir varios pisos porque siempre está lleno y cobran 23 pesos la hora.

Hotel was really clean. Good condition. Service can be improved, for example they can offer 2 bottles of water in the room. The parking lot that they recommend you need to leave your key and they are not frendly, therefore we found a parking lot far away from hotel (1.5 Km), They do not offer late check out.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado justo en el centro de la ciudad donde tienes acceso caminando a prácticamente todos los puntos turísticos, el pequeño detalle es que es bastante sencillo y austero podría decir, solo la cama una silla y un clóset es todo. No me gustó que en la noche el patio central que es la parte más vistosa y colonial estuviera obscuro sin luces como las muestran en la publicidad. El personal es amable. No tiene estacionamiento pero te dan informes de estacionamiento y pensión. No tienen ningún convenio con el hotel por lo que no hay ningún descuento ni nada. La pensión más cercana está a 10 o 15 minutos. En general bien, el precio es accesible acorde a la sencillez del lugar.

We arrived unexpectedly a day earlier than our scheduled reservation at Hotel Mesón del Rosario. The staff on duty, Martha, was very helpful by accommodating us. This gem of an historic Hotel built in 1749 is so charming, clean, the rooms are very nice and the staff & management couldn't have been nicer. The Hotel is located in the Central District near many shops, restaurants and activities. It's approximately a 5 minute walk to the lovely El Jardín de la Unión, the main central park that's always lively. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Habitación impecable

I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Perfect location since everything is walking distance, wifi was good, very clean and quiet atleast for me. I understand is a very old building so a bit of humidity smell, l guess is because of the wood beams on the ceiling but nothing out of the ordinary. I will give it a 9 because of the staff, cleanliness, location and specially the affordable price. Will recommend it.

This hotel has a simple, classic, timeless quality. If not for the modern TV, I could easily imagine my parents or grandparents staying here in the 1950's or 60's. It is in a great location within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, museums and historical sites. We stayed during a heat wave and it was a little uncomfortable due to the lack of air conditioning. A large fan helped.

Baño de extremadamente pequeño. Almohadas muy incómodas y duras. Mala señal de wifi y los teléfonos no tienen buena señal en las habitaciones. Recepcionistas muy atentas y resolutivas.

Location, price, gorgeous original style rooms. Rooms are somewhat small but that’s normal for this city.

This is a perfect centrally located hotel! You can’t beat it’s position. It’s clean, it’s very beautiful, it’s what you would expect when staying in Guanajuato. With that being said, our bed was very small, I think it was a full, and very hard. I would’ve also liked better pillows. They were hard too. Also, it had very bad lighting, which makes it hard when applying your makeup. I would definitely stay here again though.

I like the location, what I didn't like is that bathroom is too small.

Best thing about this hotel: LOCATION! Overall hotel is more like a motel. Metal doors and odd placed metal windows allow for neighboring lights to shine in your room. Four story split level building, stairs only (normal for GTO), no A/C, loud floor fan, no frills, no shampoo, no conditioner, hand soap but no soap dish, no extra TP, no and I mean no water pressure, no iron in room and no blow drier in room. If iron or blow drier are needed, they will lend you one for 30 min but you have to climb down and up for it. Recommended parking lot is a heck of hike if you walk with suitcases but better than taxi or Uber. Get past all that and the location is as good as any other downtown center hotel. Staff is hit and miss. The male attendees and handywoman were nice. Staff could make the rest of the motel limitations less of an annoyance if they would retrain the front desk people. I mean give info at the check in and when guests call for info and the frustration goes away…maybe help for 30 seconds. Kindness and consideration goes a long way. And at $500 USD for two nights, this isn’t unrealistic requests and recommendations. To the owner, simple upgrades like a decent flowing shower head, towel rack, soap dish, quieter fan in lieu of tornado fan, would desperately improve the simplicity of this no frill, no extras, limited staff motel.

Nice place, walkable and safe to all locations. We were given a room on the first floor (supposedly quiet) but staff was up early at 6:30 am making noise and sweeping waking us at that hour.

Las cama tenia hoyos y muy incomoda (dura). Te desconectaban el internet a las 10 pm. El agua caliente solo se podia usar a ciertas horas.

Very basic hotel, well located, used it for one night as road blockages affected our plans, its location is good, near to everything. Only issue was the low water pressure on the shower.

Loved this hotel! Clean, all the employees were super nice, Martha the receptionist as well as a young man who speaks English but unfortunately don’t recall his name, were very helpful and courteous.

La persona que atiende muy poco amable, la hr del check out están jodiendo mucho cuando ni huespedes tenían y por el precio estan mejores otros hoteles y tmbn están bien ubicados.

Las instalaciones limpias, el personal atento, sin embargo considero que podrían mejorar en cuanto amabilidad al contestar el teléfono, pareciera que están enojados cuando les pides o preguntas algo.

Para descansar excelente, muy céntrico para ir caminando a todos lados y conocer la ciudad, todo muy cerca.
