We had an overnight transit in doha. The oryx hotel was just what we needed after a 17hour flight. It was so nice to just arrive at the hotel and check in. Being able to have a swim and spa was so refreshing.

It is so convenient to be in the terminal by c gates up an elevator, no need to leave the airport. You have to be on a layover to be able to stay here. The place is modern, clean, and the bed is comfortable. There’s a large lap pool, well equipped gym, squash courts and simulated golf room, which is really nice. There’s much to do to pass the time between flights. Everyone is very nice, they provided our gate # when checking out, and every staff member we passed asked if we had a good stay. So unlike US hotels. Highly recommend this hotel

The place is very conveniently located. Nice jacuzzi and pool. Needs to be open 24 hours for international travelers. The exercise gym, pool and jacuzzi closes between 2AM and 5AM. Expensive otherwise would give 5 stars.

The check in was fast so was check out. The room is a good size. Not large, yet has enough space. The bed was so comfortable! The bathroom is very good. We had Ritual amenities along with extra last minute items. the pool was open until 2h along with the jacuzzi. On weekends it operates 24 hours. You will need a swimsuit. They offer a golf stimulator and squash ball. The best part is after your rest you have a 15 minute walk to your flight.

I really enjoyed our short stay at the Oryx. We were flying through Doha and had a 12 hour layover. The hotel was an excellent opportunity for a short rest. Facilities were spotless and staff made check-in and check-out a breeze.

After a long flight from Johannesburg, I arrived in Doha and checked into the Oryx Hotel around 11:30 p.m. before my early morning connection to Washington, D.C. I was fortunate to secure a room, which was quiet, spotless, and very comfortable. The hotel’s location inside the airport made it exceptionally convenient. While the rate is on the higher side $$$$, it’s well worth the cost compared to trying to sleep in the lounge or terminal. A special thanks to Mr. Tanveer at reception for his courteous and professional assistance during check-in — greatly appreciated.

It’s an okay hotel but expected more for the price, bathroom does not have a shattaf which shocked me for a hotel in Qatar and it’s one of the most important tools in the bathroom for me, a separate bidet is available but not convenient, the AC system was very confusing and took me an hour to figure out how to make it colder or switch it off as there were only up and down buttons with confusing display, the room is decent and the bathroom was clean and alright. Would I stay here again? Perhaps if I don’t want to leave the airport and got a long layover, but I think they missed a few opportunities to make it really comfortable and convenient.

Initially we thought that we were lucky to get two rooms with the view of the centre of the airport where a large yellow bear is located. Odd number rooms 181 and 183 facing the central giant bear. Dozen of men kept playing tampourine regularly over night waking us up. I only got 2 hours sleep. Perhaps it would have been nice to see the show during the day. :(

The hotel is SOOOO convenient in the Doha airport. It is at the center of the airport - which makes it easy to get to, and it is behind security - so you don't have to do all of that waiting in line/customs/immigration hassle to stay overnight. That is a win! The one downside is that it is smack dab in the airport - which means you can hear the announcements being made at all hours of the night - so it's a bit loud. I had trouble sleeping because of them. Other than that, it is a great spot to stay - and the access to the pool and workout facility is wonderful as well.

This is a wonderful facility and I was very impressed with the cleanliness. However, the rooms could really benefit from some improved soundproofing. It was a bit difficult to relax with noise from adjacent areas. I would still recommend this facility, but with a suggestion for addressing the sound issue.

This room cost a lot and was excellent. It is in the terminal building for a transit stay, and our room overlooked the concourse below. However we were hearing passanger announcements up until 3 am and they have not sound proofed the windows, so we could hear everytjing As a place to sleep after a long flight, the noise vs the price paid is the reason I have given a middle rating

This hotel needs better costumer service for foreigners. We arrived at 10pm to be told we had to wait for our room to be cleaned and waited one hour. The receptionist was very unpolite and in progressional for my opinion. Not considering we just travel on Qatar airlines (Business class) and couldn’t have a room ready. According to them.

Quick walk from boarding gates. You feel like you're at home between flights. Flight info and changes are displayed on a TV channel in the room. They will wake you up on time for your next flight. Stressless!

What a great option if you are transiting through Doha. It’s convenient, clean and the staff is incredible. In particular, Robert, at the front desk went out of his way to help me. I had a rough flight and had problems with my boarding pass. He and a couple of his colleagues came to the rescue – they couldn’t have been more professional, competent, and caring. It is worth the extra money to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is hard to locate. There is no sign near the hotel that says Oryx Airport Hotel as there are now two hotels: one called Oryx Garden Hotel and the other one is Oryx Airport Hotel. If you asks someone who works at the airport they will give you wrong information and incorrect directions. Only way you will find the place if can find the Oryx Garden Hotel and they will give you instructions how to locate the other hotel which is about half mile walk from thru the airport. This is absolutely ridiculous.

The signs to the property once we disembark your flight are not the best so ask if you can't find it. Sometimes you need to go through security depending on where you fly in from (I was flying from Uganda). But I did that and then was admitted into the airport and found the Hotel. But had to ask a few times as I walked through the airport.

Inside DOHA International Airport transit area- can't beat that. Helpful staff, quiet comfortable rooms. Amenity kits in the bathroom is meager. Conveniently located across AL-Mourjan Business Lounge. Described as a five star Hotel - quite possibly it is a four star hotel. What gets confusing is that there is a Oryx Garden Hotel located North Plaza of the terminal, specifically at the end of Concourse C and Oryx Airport Hotel located centrally at the South Plaza. Qatar Airways N American flights typically utilize Concourse C, that would make Oryx Airport Hotel close. But we were taken to North terminal and no one seemed to know if there was an Oryx and definitely not how to get there. Directions abruptly disappear. This lack of attention to vital detail in a pricey hotel in the wealthiest country is unacceptable.

Sehr hoher Preis, wird jetzt noch teurer.☹️ Kein Früchstück, nicht einmal Kekse im Zimmer. In Dubai ist für weniger Geld eine super Lounge, wo auch a la carte serviert mit üppiger Getränkeauswahl eingeschlossen! Check in schnell und professionell. Zimmer für den Preis etwas klein, sonst gut, Bett gut, Badezimmer sehr schön und groß. Musste mehrmals bei der Rezeption nach einer Flugverspätung nachfragen und erst der Manager konnte das Problem lösen. Keine Kapsel Kaffeemaschine, nur normaler billiger Kaffee in Päckchen, keine Milch, Wasser könnte mehr sein. Insgesamt Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht gut.😞

In the heart of all terminals and lounges. I was able to go for desert safari and Souq Waqif and return to room to catch morning flight with few minutes walk to gate. My room was facing the Duty free shops. Price was as reasonable as the hotels in city. Staff were very nice. Didnt try the pool and hot tub. There is no restaurant as the lounges are across the hotel.
