Comfort Inn & Suites San Marcos near Outlet Mall

No coffee, insects in my room,

We came to the san marcos/new braunfels area for a weekend vacation. Saturday went as planned but day 2 of our trip was ruined, let me tell you why. Day 1, We checked in after we left schlitterbahn to change and get ready to go have dinner. We were on the 3rd floor room 308. When we arrived we were excited for our stay because the hotel looked to be on the newer side. We've stayed at other comfort inns before and never had this issue. Well after dinner we come back and start to unwind and plan for sunday to shop and go to fiesta texas. We start laying down and getting ready for bed. I fall asleep. Around 1:30 my daughter wakes me up and said something bit her. Im waking up half asleep and was like what you mean? She said she pulled out her phone and googled what kind of bug it was and it turned out to be bed bugs. I told my girls to start getting their things off the floor and move it to the tile for inspection. Well i go down to the front desk and explain the situation in our room. I asked for a refund and he told me only the manager does that, but in the meantime he could move me to another room, 424. I had to come inspect the room myself because he couldn't leave his post at the front desk. I checked it out thoroughly before we headed up. Back to room 308 and i start finding more bed bugs the harder i looked. Check our things on the tile before deciding to go outside and flip everything inside out. In the morning the front desk was rude and no help. Manager never show up

Bathroom shower glass door were dirty some lamps were not working, while on breakfast they ran out of paper plates ,the trash cans outside were overfilled and trash on the ground. Not pleased with our stay.

The only good thing about this place was how close it was to everything, shopping, food, river and much more. The first room we got into had soaking wet floor from the a/c to the bed, our second room had very visible mold above the shower and you could even see where it was painted over to cover it up but it was all peeling up. The toilet handle is broken and don’t expect housekeeping to bring fresh towels you have to go ask for more yourself. The hallways and floor were very dirty I don’t think anyone has vacuumed or mopped in a while. Yes I understand you get what you pay for but these businesses are definitely making their money and should still expect to make paying customers feel clean when staying at these properties.
