Beau Rivage Motel

The room was cold, thermostat turned all the way up and room never got above 68 degrees Cold air was coming in through bathroom window amd the air conditioner didnt have a outside cover so cold air was felt coming through it . Noone was at office all weekend to exchange towels or any condonments for the coffee was available. , the walkway and parking lot was not safe to walk on due to ice and snow

Overall the room was a 70s throwback straight out of a jaws movie. It was clean- good water pressure, but ZERO frills. We were there off-season so most everything was shut down besides one local brewery- so most everything we did was in Portsmouth just 20 minutes away. As soon as we checked in the guy behind the desk disappeared and we never saw him again. I would’ve asked for more towels and the Wi-Fi, but no one answered the phone. Also, there is a TRAIN that goes directly behind the place several times a night. That part was left out of the description. Between that and a very loud wall heater, we get much quality sleep our entire stay.

Staff is super friendly and the location is fantastic. Would recommend

We stayed one night at the Beau Rivage Motel in Old Orchard Beach and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. At first, the room appeared fine, but it quickly became clear that it hadn’t been properly cleaned after the previous guests. The trash cans still contained garbage, used bottles of body wash and a used bar of soap were left in the bathtub, the sink was coated in toothpaste and soap residue, the towels had visible stains, and the bed sheets may have been unwashed (so disgusting!). The office was open when we first arrived but closed shortly afterward in the evening, leaving us no opportunity to report these issues in person. It was still closed the next morning when we checked out. After returning home, we sent a detailed written message to management outlining the problems and giving them a fair opportunity to respond, but we never received any acknowledgment or reply. It’s disappointing when a business fails to meet even basic standards of cleanliness or customer service. We hope management takes this feedback seriously so future guests have a better experience than we did.
