Sherwood Arms Motel

No extra sheets or blankets. No soap to wash dishes that are available or napkins or towels. Other then that. Nice relaxing place to be. Easy place with parking space.

My stay at this nice, and small motel was great! The facilities were simple, but clean. My room was small but comfortable. The towels and bed sheets were clean. I really liked the fact that the restaurants were at a walking distance from the hotel. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no transportation, but it was because there was a snow storm when I was there. The staff was friendly

Jin, the gentleman at the front desk was warm and welcoming. I felt very safe as a single woman traveler. The room had a real kitchenette including a stove and oven, sink and basic dishes and pans. I didn’t use the stove/oven this time but will the next time! There is a nice picnic area complete with grill and picnic tables on the property. Stacey’s gift shop next door has an eclectic collection of items. I plan to return with more cash to purchase some gift items. This was a ‘runaway’ night after a couple of very intense weeks, the perfect antidote! The only potential issue was the tv WiFi had problems and wouldn’t connect. This is a potential problem in the mountains, not a hotel issue, so definitely bring a book in case the WiFi is inconsistent. The water pressure in the shower and temperature control were great, better than at home :-) I will definitely ‘runaway’ to the Sherwood Arms again. The vibe is peaceful, healing. It’s an easy walk to town, and easy access to explore the surrounding area.

This is very good motel option for the area, very basic almost Spartan interior, nothing special and nothing is missing. Great for a Motel - especially considering the abundance of space - it's more of a cabin type of place. Loved outdoor area - wish they put up a couple of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy outside. Everything inside worked, the decor is modern and everything was clean but seems to be getting a little "tired" and in need for upgrades.

Heating was excellent , decent sized space. Great closet space. Microwave, full size fridge, dining table, kitchen space. easy access to shops and parking. They are pet friendly! I enjoyed the area and that there was an outdoor space to enjoy. Friendly staff. However, Noise from upstairs seemed to be 24/7. Bring your own fitted sheets for the beds, needs a new shower curtain, bring your own soaps etc. I do question how well the place is “cleaned” in between visits when it comes to floors and countertops.

Linen in all the beds were dirty. Bathroom sink clogged, very outdated inside and not clean.

I loved the area this location. The condition of the sheets were dirty. Not washed.

The bathroom was dirty, it was coffee on the machine (who knows since when) you could smell weed. Very disappointed

Sheets not clean when I arrived. I informed the front desk then left for a couple hours. When I got back, there were new clean sheets on the bed.

The property was very dirty. There was mold in the bathroom, in the shower, and on the tile. I have Pictures that were taken as proof to this hotels uncleanliness. I would not stay there again, nor would I recommend this to a friend.

Looks better in pictures. Room was very dirty. Pee stains on the floor. Microwave was really dirty. Killed at least 3 roaches. Towls that were in the room were dirty they had stains on them. Rug in room was really dirty like it needed to be vacuumed. Luckily we had our own towels & blanket to use because we felt gross to sleep on the beds.

The room we stayed in felt gross and old. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the shower felt really gross. The towels were also way too small.

Just kinda run down, but I guess you get what you pay for. Otherwise adequate. Wall heaters were basically on/off and manual, so hard to achieve a stable comfortable temp. Not much in the amenities department. And, broken windows, dust bunnies, lack of towels.

Upon entering the room, I found the initial door led to a storage area, which seemed misplaced. Moreover, the provision of only one electric fan for a two-bedroom accommodation was inadequate, leading me to incur additional expense by purchasing another fan. Moreover, footsteps from upstairs guests were distinctly audible within my room. Although the venue exhibits positive qualities, certain adjustments are necessary to enhance the experience.

Cozy, yet spacious (was more of a cabin studio apartment than a hotel room); walking distance to a breakfast place and Mexican restaurant. 10/10 would stay here again!

The receptionist was pleasant & helpful. Our room was clean, quiet, fairly well-appointed with nice views of the forest. The only set back is the double bed; too small for 2 people; the room may have been set up for 1 as the dishes only had one cup, glass, plate, bowl, etc. Overall, this real gem in Running Springs is highly recommended.

Had a stove top, no exhaust fan. Bed frame was broken, bathroom in master bedroom, TV didn’t work, close to the main road so heard traffic into the evening. I’d never take my family here. Luckily just a guys trip.

The water was hot, the heater worked, not much to complain about. It could have been cheaper, but it is tourist season. Just me so I don’t need all the extras. Plus: there was a microwave and mini fridge oh and coffee maker I didn’t use; I don’t trust them. Minus: bathroom was too small and wifi was very spotty.

Really enjoyed the stay here. A lot of space for little $$, kitchen big enough for cooking anything you need really, separate bedroom with space for a yoga mat and some morning stretches before hiking the mountains. Wifi worked. Windows open unlike some hotels so you can get that fresh air. Hope to come again.

The stay was quiet and peace. The romantic suite room I love it. Was large and cozy. Syed gave the best friendly customer service had problems with the WiFi and he got it fixed asap. Will be coming back.

The location is perfect, and we had a room with a vaulted ceiling and a fireplace...The downside was that the room was worn and tired. The heater was very noisy, and the fireplace was non-functioning. There are no hairdryers in the room or in the office. As I said, for the low price, it was acceptable.

Our stay at Sherwood Arms Motel was worthwhile! After our first night, we decided to stay another night and Syed (Front office) made it an easy transition for us! He ensured we were accommodated, comfortable, and pleased. We stayed in room 8 and 9 and can definitely say that it was better than a hotel (made it feel as if we were luxuriously camping). Close to Lake Arrowhead, convince store, gas station, diners, etc. Highly recommend and will be back :)

We booked a double bed with kitchen for a family of 4. Upon arrival we were told the room we booked had plumbing issues & we couldn’t check in to that room. The front desk person told showed us two other rooms & said he would honor the same rate. Both rooms he offered us were downgrades from what we booked. The first room didn’t have a kitchen (we booked with a kitchen with the purpose of using it) it had one king bed, I let him know we need two beds which is why we booked a double bed room. He showed us the second option witch had a kitchen but the place had one queen bed. I asked if they had extra mattresses or roll away beds in which he said no. We were so tired from driving & we decided to take the the first option, 1 king bed no kitchen. My son & I had to sleep on the floor during our stay, he only gave us 1 super thin bed sheet, 1 thin comforter & two extra pillows. It was the worst stay we have ever experienced. Woke up with my body aching. Upon entering the room, my son tried to watch tv & we couldn’t watch any of the apps that were set up on the tv. We called front desk, he came & checked it out. He called two minutes later claiming spectrum was having issues in the area which was a lie because our neighbors didn’t have any issues & were able to watch tv in their room. Overall, our experience was TERRIBLE & we will NEVER stay here again. We do NOT recommend this place. We were extremely disappointed.

Was very unhappy that I was unable to stay as the property had overbooked and there was no room for me. After traveling a good distance to get up the mountain, hoping to have a good weekend getaway, there was no room for me, and I had to return home

Ok for the price. Frontdesk was very helpful with us.

We wanted mountain rustic, cozy, clean and walkable to a atore or restaurant. It had a great size kitchen to cook in or store our food until the next day. The owner, host was communicative and very welcoming. This is a motel i would stay at again.

I liked the location because its very close to Lake arrowhead and Big Bear, the rooms are ok but definetly recommend bringing your own kitchenware and ammenities such as soap, etc. Overrall ok for a friends trip
