Great location in the old city, near the Riva. It’s in an apartment building, you walk through a shop to access the area, then up some stairs. Our room was large and had a fridge which we appreciate. A small grocery store is right across the street.

Really charming hotel at a great location inside the palace area. Lots of shops and restaurants just steps from the door. Be aware that there is no elevator. Staff is helpful with taking suitcases up, but there are a lot of stairs if you forget something in your room. The site says the rooms are serviced daily, but that didn't happen for us. The toilet seat was loose, the shower drained slowly and one of the lights didn't work, so while quaint and comfortable, I can't give it 5 stars.

The location of the hotel is great, extremely convenient as it is next to a convenience store and very close to a lot of shops and restaurants. It is clean and the aircon works well which is always good under the hot weather in August. The stairs (no lift here) to the hotel are quite dark in the evening as some lights don’t turn on. It doesn’t have a reception and you will have to enter through a gallery. You’ll have to meet the host at the property with prior arrangement. The day that I arrived was a national holiday so the gallery was closed so I had to wait a while for the host to arrive - but this is more of an exceptional circumstance. The host, Toma was extremely friendly and have given us a lot of restaurant suggestions! Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

Marko is very helpful en kind communication. Check-in went smoothly, staff helped me with my suitcase because no elevator, room the third floor. A broken lamp was repaired immediately. The location was fantastic, a 30-second walk to Riva Boulevard with all restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't clean; it smelled of sewage, and there was mold and sewer flies part over the wall next to the shower faucet. I can't upload pictures here as proof. There was only one cleaning service for a 4-night/5-day stay, even though the advertisement stated daily cleaning.

There is nothing alike to the photos of the property, is in the 4th floor, no elevator, view to other propierty, air conditioning didn't work and nobody fix it, there is nobody from the property in place so the firl in the gallery downstairs needs to call them, very hard to close the door and you need to have 2 keys one for the main entrance shares with other people and ine you arribe upstairs to the fooor where they have the rooms, the guy who do the check in tells you ge will send any information you need but as a good teenager he bever does.

Central location in an interesting building through a gallery. Even though it was centrally located it was quiet enough. Nice shower. The young man who checked us in was really nice and took our bag up the stairs for us (quite a few stairs btw). If gladly stay here again

Relatively spacious and airy. Accessible through a shop and up several flights of stairs. Comfy bed and all amenities you would expect, including fridge. Very central and two minutes from the seafront, almost next to the town square. Opposite a spar to collect any necessities. Host was great at providing local info and suggestions.

A room and bathroom in a very old building in the heart of Split. Cons: Property needs upgrades and renovations asap. We stayed 4 days and our room was only serviced once (per our request). Door knob seems to be falling from the front door, shower and sink are clogged, some lights are not working, bathroom looks dated and the place is extremely noisy early in the mornings. Pros: Premium location, safe, spacious room.

We werden netjes op tijd opgehaald op de luchthaven en de dag van vertrek vanuit Split naar de luchthaven gebracht. Hotel locatie is perfect. Groene kamer was precies zoals beschreven en op de foto’s. Eerste nacht konden we niet slapen door een krakende bed en een riool lucht welke uit ons badkamer kwam. Marko reageerde altijd snel en keurig op mijn vragen via whatsapp berichten. Krakende bed werd de volgende dag gemaakt, top! Helaas had ik niet de review van 2017 gelezen over de riool geur gelezen. Kamer werd niet elke dag schoon gemaakt. Echter, een groot compliment voor de schoonmaakster. Ons kamer werd perfect schoon gemaakt. Airco werkte ook prima.

There was very heavy rain the first night of my stay. Water dripped onto the floor through the rock wall and wet the area on that side of the room. The location is convenient for restaurants and sightseeing.

Marco has a wonderful property in the centre of split close to everything you need to do! The rooms are spacious and clean, with a lovely bathroom and very comfy bed. Only issue was the AC stuck at 25, but we still slept well and the local beers helped us sleep.

Lovely characterful room in central apartment block, ideally located for Split Old Town. Quirky entrance through art gallery. Keep the windows closed at night as it can get quite noisy in the morning from 5am as the street sweepers work and the shops re-stock. Air conditioned.

Hotel was in a fantastic location in historic building with lots of characheter. Walk outside to lots of restaurants, shops, and not far at all from riva. Our room had refrigerator which we made sure to use. Along with comfortable and stylish decor. Host was very personable, and provided a lot of great information on things to do, places to eat, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Location in Diocletian Palace walls was super cool, very walkable. Air conditioning was superb which mattered because it’s a very hot July now. Our host was very helpful to be sure we got settled in and oriented properly. The room was tight but not too small for a couple and the bed was comfortable. The only thing missing was a nice seating area for us to take a breather and enjoy one another’s company. Coffee shops, food stands and restaurants everywhere within a couple minutes walk! The harbor was only 2 minutes walk and was beautiful.

Overall nice stay, 100/10 location, right in the middle of Old Town, not too noisy at night, and generally comfortable stay. My only complaints were that our host was not responsive at all, and even after we checked in, he was not responsive to our messages asking a very basic question. Another issue we had was the shower, there was no tub lining, and the drain was slow and horrible so our bathroom would flood after every shower. Other than those two issues, we had a pleasant stay.

Marko is very helpful en kind communication. Check-in went smoothly, staff helped me with my suitcase because no elevator, room the third floor. A broken lamp was repaired immediately. The location was fantastic, a 30-second walk to Riva Boulevard with all restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't clean; it smelled of sewage, and there was mold and sewer flies part over the wall next to the shower faucet. I can't upload pictures here as proof. There was only one cleaning service for a 4-night/5-day stay, even though the advertisement stated daily cleaning.

Hotel was in a fantastic location in historic building with lots of characheter. Walk outside to lots of restaurants, shops, and not far at all from riva. Our room had refrigerator which we made sure to use. Along with comfortable and stylish decor. Host was very personable, and provided a lot of great information on things to do, places to eat, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The room was clean and as expected from the photos. We didn’t mind climbing the 3 stories of stairs to get to the room. The night we checked in, our room would not lock due to a malfunction with the door. I messaged the host to help. He came the next morning and fixed it. As for service, the host was kind and responsive. he had an employee meet us outside the art gallery to show us to the room. The price was great for the location but due to the lock issue, I wouldn’t stay again.

Couldn’t get a better location in the city centre, lovely place. Our host Toma was really helpful with an easy check in and giving us some great recommendations. Overall brilliant place to stay in Split.

We had a wonderful stay at Palace Tartaglia. Our room was small but very comfortable for our three-night visit. It was spotless, and the bed was cozy and inviting. Be aware there are quite a few stairs to reach the rooms—so if that’s an issue, request a lower floor or this hotel may not be the best fit. Central location in an interesting building through a gallery. Even though it was centrally located it was quiet enough. Nice shower. The young man who checked us in was really nice and took our bag up the stairs for us (quite a few stairs btw). If gladly stay here again

Great location in the old city, near the Riva. It’s in an apartment building, you walk through a shop to access the area, then up some stairs. Our room was large and had a fridge which we appreciate. A small grocery store is right across the street.

A room and bathroom in a very old building in the heart of Split. Cons: Property needs upgrades and renovations asap. We stayed 4 days and our room was only serviced once (per our request). Door knob seems to be falling from the front door, shower and sink are clogged, some lights are not working, bathroom looks dated and the place is extremely noisy early in the mornings. Pros: Premium location, safe, spacious room.

We spent 2 nights at the Palace Tartaglia. What an authentic experience staying inside the palace walls! The property is VERY close to one of the main gates and surrounded by countless restaurants. The room was spotless and we'd highly recommend staying there!

Muy recomendable. El alojamiento no puede estar mejor situado, tiene tiendas, súper mercados y todas las zonas turísticas a unos pasos (casco antiguo, puerto, paseo del puerto…). Además, puedes acceder tanto a pie como en autobús a las playas cercanas, está todo muy bien comunicado. Destacaríamos la amabilidad del personal y la limpieza de la habitación.

This is a great spot in a great location! Staff is great - I just called them when I was 30 minutes out and they met me at the entrance to let me in, and allowed me to leave my things in the room even though it was not ready yet as I arrived at 9:30am. The location is fantastic, quick walk to the ferry and tons of great dinner spots. The staff sends you some great recs on WhatsApp as well when you’re there. There is no formal front desk so be prepared to communicate through WhatsApp - you enter through an art gallery and then go up ~5 small flights of stairs to get to the rooms. Staff is great though and brought up my luggage for me. Would definitely stay here again!
