The hotel provided a room without hot water in the shower, called front desk and they never sent anyone after a while I walked over to the desk and the said they will send someone over in 5 min and they never did. The Wifi didn’t work and I was not able to work. I would not recommend to stay here.

Ari conditioning was broken, elevators were not working super efficiently. No mini bar or room service in the room. Overall much less value than other hotels given what I paid for the room.

When I got to the hotel and was checked in they informed me that they had no hot water. To make up for that they offered no to put a hold on my card for incidentals. That hot water was still off in the morning. Besides that the bed was uncomfortable and you could hear every noise in the hallway. Would not stay again

I did NOT like that the property’s restaurant was closed. Nothing stated that when I booked. Also, the cafe had NO fruit for breakfast. I specifically booked this property based on them having an on site restaurant and breakfast. Neither of which I was able to enjoy. I like that at least I was able to walk to a restaurant and grocery store.

Staff at check IN was extremely rude and dismissive. Only one elevator worked the entire weekend and it took 10 to 15 minutes to get up&/or down. Nowhere to park besides the hotel for $60 a night.

When I arrived I was informed that the hotel had no hot water. That in itself wouldn’t have been too big of a deal if handled well, but the staff was clearly annoyed even having to talk about this. I was asked if I still wanted to check in, but when I inquired if I could get a refund for my reservation if I didn’t check in, the front desk agent was pretty rude. The hot water was out all evening and came back the next morning mid-morning.

I booked a few months in advance. I flew in from LA. It wasn’t until check in that I was told there is no hot water. I already had back to back appointments scheduled and I didn’t have enough time to find a new hotel. Upon arriving I was informed that the hotel did not have running water. Front desk stated that the maintenance tech was currently changing a pipe to fix the issue and assured that it would be fixed estimated 40 mins. I understood the situation, I just in formed them that I did have to have the water because I had to get ready for my event which started at 9pm. I left to go shopping and get food and returns about 3hrs later, I was told the water was on but there is currently no hot water. I had to ask for boiled water so I could wash myself because the shower water was freezing cold and I could use that then go outside in the cold. I was told that the issue was still being worked on. Come 11:30 still no hot water. I returned around 2am from my event and still the whole hotel had no hot water. I talked to the front desk agent and was informed that I would receive a phone call. I'm not sure what the phone call is to do but I should definitely be compensated for the inconvenience during my stay.

I recently stayed at The Tillary Hotel and, unfortunately, had an unpleasant experience. After spending a night there, I woke up with multiple red, itchy bites on my arms and legs. At first, I wasn’t sure what caused them, but after discussing with my doctor they stated I have been bitten by bedbugs. I immediately informed management, and while they responded quickly . I’m still concerned about cleanliness and pest control. I would strongly recommend that future guests check their bedding carefully before settling in. Hopefully, the property takes this issue seriously and addresses it properly. Would not return unless I’m sure this problem has been resolved.

For the amount of money spent for two nights (approx $530 $250 security deposit) I absolutely would not stay here again. For starters, we found multiple orange stains on our bed sheets, including some of the towels. Some of the wood furnishings were chipped or slightly damaged in some areas. The bathroom did not seem thoroughly cleaned, we spotted several black corners on the sink and in the shower (possibly mildew? From sitting water). There was no overhead light fixtures so the room was pretty dark besides the four lamps placed in each corner of the room. Not to mention there was only one mirror and that was in the bathroom; no full body mirrors. Lastly, very odd, but taking a 20 minute hot shower consistently caused the room to feel unbearably humid with the vents going— the only relief was turning on the ac, however it’s currently 28 degrees in NY so that wasn’t very pleasant either. This was not what I was expecting whatsoever for a 3.5 or 4 star hotel.

The staff was rude (3:00 pm staff) , there was a roach in my bathroom crawling on the mirror and the shower was not clean. I’ve never experienced this the first time I stayed at the Tillary hotel, the first time was very pleasant and the room was clean.

Our shower had mold in the corners. The furniture was completely beat up with scratches. The room had a smell of cleaning products or something that gave us both headaches. No carpeting anywhere in the hotel and the floors are all scratched up. This is not a 4 star hotel. I don’t know how hotels like this get rated but this is a misleading rating on Orbitz. We checked out first thing in the morning. I just hope we didn’t take home bed bugs with us as this hotel was disgusting and my wife got bit by some bug during the night. People were hanging out in the hallways. Doors slamming in the middle of the night. We paid a $25 resort fee!?! For what? I want my money back! I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me the $500 we spent on this room to stay there.

A door would have helped, or an extended piece of pane. The couple of times that I visited the front desk, they seemed annoyed that I had walked up. But the room was comfortable and quiet, and it’s a great location.

The rooms have seen better days. Most of the furniture in the room is either chipped or the paint worn off. Door to room would not close properly unless you slammed it. Lower floors (we were on the 3rd) can hear the subway very loudly in the room, like a boom box in a car outside the hotel. The whole place is in dire need of an upgrade. Elevators smell like a stale joint. Had been smoked in them. The hallway also had that same stale smell. Rooms are definitely not soundproof, paper thin walls. Not worth the money even though the location was pretty decent.

We had a nice time at the Tillary. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and a lot of care had been put in selecting unique decor for the hotel overall, but so much was falling apart or didn’t work. When we arrived to our room, you had to use your full body weight to open or close the door because it wasn’t on the hinges properly. Walking in, it looked like a werewolf had turned due to crazy scratching on the floor and on some of the furniture. The bathroom shower leaked all over the floor because there wasn’t a complete door and the water went everywhere. The tv was supposed to allow you to stream content from your phone- it didn’t work. The bathroom mirror was on a slider and also made to open the bathroom to the bedroom which meant the sound or steam wasn’t enclosed when you used the bathroom. We had a nice time at the Tillary. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and a lot of care had been put in selecting unique decor for the hotel overall, but so much was falling apart or didn’t work. When we arrived to our room, you had to use your full body weight to open or close the door because it wasn’t on the hinges properly. Walking in, it looked like a werewolf had turned due to crazy scratching on the floor and on some of the furniture. The bathroom shower leaked all over the floor because there wasn’t a complete door and the water went everywhere. The tv was supposed to allow you to stream content from your phone- it didn’t work. The bathroom mirror was on a slider and also made to open the bathroom to the bedroom which meant the sound or steam wasn’t enclosed when you used the bathroom. The first room was OK, but definitely not what I booked. It was a Junior Suite with a small single bed in place of a couch and more of a studio room. I always book suites, but bcuz I was allowed to check-in early, when I asked about just dropping off my bags, I accepted it. However, by night two it was evident the a/c wasn't working bcuz it was 79 in the room even though I turned it down to 72.We asked the hotel to check it while we were out for the day, when we got back they informed us that the a/c was indeed broken and moved us to the rim next door. This rim was exactly what I'd requested, a King suite with a lobbying rim and a bedroom. A full size couch, Jack and Jill sink, and just more space and a working a/c. The rest of the stay was perfect which is why I still gave them 4 stars. Keep ur windows closed bcuz the fire trucks, when traffic was heavy, and police sirens can get loud. We found that out on the night we tried to get some air bcuz out room was so hot. We eventually just took cool showers & shut the windows,sleeping on top of the covers.

It’s a fine hotel. And I think the fact that I was doing a single night and a Monday was a big part of my experience. The room is nice enough with good and controllable ac. Even with every light on- it’s a pretty dark room. No full length mirrors. The TV wasn’t working- the picture would flicker in and out and the audio would get off track with the video. Out of shower gel or the mounted dispenser was broken- other than that- nice shower. Previous guests trash (empty phone charge box, empty jewelry bag, wrapper) left in the bedside table. There is a not small facility fee which is for all the hotel amenities- but they had literally nothing for Monday guests. No bar or food service, no grab and go- nothing- had to walk to the bodega in the rain to grab some basics that I’m sure they stock when that area of the hotel is opened and staffed. Scheduled a wake up call for 3:30am (early flight). And it never came- thankfully my alarm was enough to get me up. I got a good price because I booked at the last minute for a Monday night, it was like 35-40% less than the weekend night cost- I wouldn’t stay again at the full price- but it was a perfectly fine hotel for what I paid.

staff was great although we didn't have too much interaction as we were there only overnight. The rooms were clean but the common areas looked very worn and the rooms are dark and somewhat dingy. Some lights weren't working. It's a shame because the place has a lot of potential.

Great location in Brooklyn. Friendly staff. Nice perk in free drink an app each day. Only downside is there is little to no sound insolation. You hear people’s convos clearly in the room next door. So on a weekend and with people coming in at all hours I was woken up a lot. Despite being a very sound sleeper, the hotel room doors are very loud when they shut it would startle me awake repeatedly throughout the night. But beds were comfy. Rooms were nice. I just recommend packing earplugs.

Great location and the front desk customer service was pleasant. However there were not adequate supplies for the room, especially if you have two guests (housekeeping was only placing out one washcloth and not replacing the toilet paper rolls). Had to continuously contact the front desk for replacements. Plus hearing the other guests noises such as their laughter and doors slamming was a nuisance. Had a meal at the rooftop restaurant, again pleasant service but a quarter of the items on the menu weren't available.

Internet went down when I was attempting to check-in. Had to wait in lobby for 15-20 extra minutes for my key card to get registered. Receptionist was on the phone texting and FaceTiming when I walked up. Told me to hold while she finished. Never hung up the FaceTime until she couldn’t get the key card to work and then told that person she would call them back. Manager never came out to apologize to me or tell both receptionist to get off their phones.

When I got there, I found out that they were overbooked and a room was not available. I was at an event late. While I was booked at another hotel free of charge, it was really late, and I had to take an Uber to another part of Brooklyn. I picked this hotel for the location. It was very inconvenient.

When I arrived I was informed that the hotel had no hot water. That in itself wouldn’t have been too big of a deal if handled well, but the staff was clearly annoyed even having to talk about this. I was asked if I still wanted to check in, but when I inquired if I could get a refund for my reservation if I didn’t check in, the front desk agent was pretty rude. The hot water was out all evening and came back the next morning mid-morning.

The front desk person told us we didnt have a reservation. Then once he finally found it, even though I told him I booked via expedia. He didn't tell us where anything was in the hotel. I overheard him telling different group of ppl. Then we were given keys that didnt work. Not only didnt they work but when they finally worked someone was already in the room. Dont get me started on the parking situation. If it werent for Julissa we would have left. She was our best moment. We will not return here nor will we recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed in two hotels in downtown Brooklyn. Although I rated the other hotel a little higher, when I go back I will stay at this one based on price it was just as clean and trendy but it is less expensive. It is just a little further out so a little longer walk to actual restaurants and if walking you have to cross a very busy intersection to go towards town.

From the warm greeting we received when we arrived to the comfort and cleanliness of our room, the Tillary was perfect for our trip to Brookly and NYC. The Brooklyn Heights neighborhood is lovely and the subway and restaurants were a short walk away. All of the staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful. Special note: Ask for a room on the BACK side of the hotel, fronting on Duffield Street. It will be noticeably quieter than rooms on the Flatbush Avenue side.

This is my favorite hotel in my favorite city. It’s so beautiful and clean- luxurious yet affordable. The rooftop bar is to die for and the bartender is so nice. I’m moving to NY in a year and genuinely will be sad that I wont need a hotel as often because of how much I enjoy staying here. 10000000/10 can’t wait to come back!

The best part about my stay was Ivette (at the front desk)!! She helped me when I was frantic about messing up my reservation, made sure I comfortable while multitasking other patrons and then got me checked in! Overall nice stay walking distance to Barclay Center. Cute cafe. Didn’t enjoy the half door shower because water gets on the floor or that you have to go to the lobby then walk up a flight of steps for the ice machine. The staff was accommodating, especially Ivette. 😊

The location of the hotel was excellent. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. Our room appeared clean until we got to the bed. There was hair on the sheets and one of the pillows. The bed was very uncomfortable and when we asked for extra pillows, the front desk said we could get some but they never came. We chose this location because it had a cafe, which was well stocked in the morning, and a bar/restaurant for the evening. We wanted to have a quick and easy dinner after a day of travel, but they were only making chicken tenders and fries for food, nothing else was available on a Friday night. Overall our stay was ok. The location made up for most of the shortcomings of the hotel. I think I would look to the newer hotel across the street if we travel back to Brooklyn in the future.

I did NOT like that the property’s restaurant was closed. Nothing stated that when I booked. Also, the cafe had NO fruit for breakfast. I specifically booked this property based on them having an on site restaurant and breakfast. Neither of which I was able to enjoy. I like that at least I was able to walk to a restaurant and grocery store.

Comfortable bed and room. Very nice roof top bar. Our only issue was housekeeping. Two people staying in room but only 1 towel and no washcloths. Called in the morning when we were waiting to shower and it was over hour before the arrived with more towels. By that point we had given up and were ready to leave

no microwave or utensil to make a cup of tea or coffee. but there were coffee pods sugar etc. one wonders how were guests expected to brew a cup of coffee? very small rooms; close layout is ridiculous. In the closet was the Fridge and safety box - no place to hang clothes even though there were hangers and the closet bar to hang clothes on. the safety box and fridge simply blocked. wifi never worked. Called front desk for support - no one answered. won't stay here again.
no microwave or utensil to make a cup of tea or coffee. but there were coffee pods sugar etc. one wonders how were guests expected to brew a cup of coffee? very small rooms; close layout is ridiculous. In the closet was the Fridge and safety box - no place to hang clothes even though there were hangers and the closet bar to hang clothes on. the safety box and fridge simply blocked. wifi never worked. Called front desk for support - no one answered. won't stay here again.

We were late getting to the hotel after flight delays so it may have been that all the good rooms were taken. But we got a room on the second floor which reeked of weed and was located down a winding, dark hallway. The room itself was on the second floor and overlooked a busy intersection. There were car horns and fire trucks and sirens off and on all night. The blanket on the bed was a thin thing with a sheet over it. There was no remote for the tv, and had a strange sliding window between the room and the bathroom…it was just a poor room. The lobby is nice and the staff was kind and efficient. But the room wasn’t good.

My significant other and I came for my birthday / the J Cole concert. Upon entry, the staff was very welcoming and helpful! They were straightforward, and I could tell they knew their job well. The room was clean and fully stocked with what I needed for my 3-night stay (towels, toilet paper, sheets, etc). I even left something, and when I called, the staff were very helpful in confirming the item I had left. I would absolutely stay here again if I visit Brooklyn in the future.
