As soon as you walk in the front doors it strongly smells of chlorine. The room was okay. The pillows were not good and they didn't have anymore at the front desk. The pool area was extremely hot and hard to breathe, because the chlorine was so strong. The door to the chemical room in the pool area was rusting out badly at the bottom. The breakfast was very very basic. Not many options.

We were pleasantly surprised with the whole facility. Room was clean and had a fridge and microwave. We used the larger than normal fitness center to work out. The only odd thing was that the hotel is on the edge of the east and central time zones so our phones bounced back and forth. The clerk warned us about this when we checked in and there is a big sign in the room too. The even have the clock in the room so you can be sure of the time. ALL GOOD!

air conditioner was noisy and not working properly. Fire alarm went of at 1:44 in the morning because a button was pushed in the elevator. Bed comforter had food residue on the side down towards the bed. Came back from the day out and none of our room keys worked. This was us and two other families. All the kids hated the Breakfast and said the waffles were disgusting. Pool was not very big and the water looked a little yellow so we did not feel comfortable letting the kids hop in.I would recommend staying somewhere else.

It was just me and my wife, but there were several families staying there over the weekend as well. The indoor pool was a hit. It was occupied the entire weekend, so my wife and I never got a chance to enjoy that. The arcade was a fun little touch too! The front desk attendants were all very friendly, even keeping the breakfast open late for us when our phones didn't adjust to the time change.

We had ants in our room. Seemed to be a common problem - even the front desk person mentioned they get complaints about ants frequently. Even on our way out we saw a worker going in the elevator with a can of Raid and a vacuum. Pool could also be improved. Water was very cloudy/green and pool room looked run down.

Chose this hotel to take grandkids swimming in pool as pics showed a nice indoor pool. Got to location and pool was closed but not advertised online. This Comfort Inn was a convenient location. The check in was easy and stuff at desk was friendly. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was OK. However, the pool was closed. One reason we chose this hotel. We were told Saturday after check in, a child swallowed too much water the evening before?? So the levels would be checked and maybe opened back. It did not. The exercise room was also closed. Hummm seems they are just not taking care of the amenities.

Not sure if this is a new build or recently renovated….but the property was very clean. Hallways, room, etc were clean, fresh smelling and nicely designed/decorated. It is located in a small rural area and there isn’t many choices to eat. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The ladies at checkin and checkout were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful.

The hotel was chosen because of the 8 star review it had on hotels.com but please be warned this is NOT a clean or modern hotel. It was dirty, outdated, and musty. There was foreign hair in our shower and the whole place had a terrible smell. It’s close to holiday world but not worth it for us. We left early and went to the Marriott in Jasper which was a much nicer stay. I’d give zero stars if possible.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing stay – would not return When we first arrived, before even entering the building, there was a strong bleach smell outside. It got even worse once we walked through the main doors and continued into our room. The odor was so overwhelming it gave me a headache and made my throat hurt. We asked to move rooms, and the second floor was slightly better, but the smell was still noticeable. The room itself had multiple issues. The microwave did not work, the armchair was not very clean, and the office chair at the desk would not stay up — it would slowly sink all the way to the floor every few seconds. The beds were extremely hard, and the feather pillows were so small and uncomfortable that they felt like little rocks. The comforters even had stains on them. The bathroom water temperature was great — nice and hot — but the water pressure in the shower was terrible. It’s also ridiculous that there’s no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Because of this, you have to keep the bathroom door closed or the steam sets off the fire alarm — which is exactly what happened at 5:30 AM on the day we were leaving, waking everyone up. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was very poor. The dining area was covered in syrup — on the tables and all over the floor. The elevator had popcorn in it the first day and was never cleaned. Later, there were wrappers and even spilled coffee in the elevator and by the front entrance doors, none of which were ever cleaned up during our sta

The entrance to the hotel was not clear and only saw a sign after turning that it was not the entrance. The bathroom door had to remain closed because it had no ventilation but then you couldnt see in the mirror to put contacts in and get ready even after using a towel to dry it.

The TV was small but other than that it was a great hotel and we had a great experience. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was large and the bathtub was huge. Will stay again!

It’s not horrible but not great. Rooms are in need of repair. AC in the room very noisy compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. Everyone was having issues with their door keys not working while we were there. Beds were comfortable but they tuck 1/2 the sheets under the foot of the bed. You have to damn near remake the bed. Room noise was average (other than the AC). Breakfast wasn’t bad. Staff was ok. They kept having “computer issues” during check in and took a long time. For the price… you get what ya pay for.

This place should be pulled off of Orbitz. Hard to imagine this place has a certificate of occupancy. Wi-Fi sucked, sometimes ok, sometimes sucked bad. I measured less than 1 Mbps upload/download at times using Internet speed tests. The bathroom door had to remain shut all the time otherwise the fire alarm will go off (as per the permanent sign on the bathroom door). Not a temporary problem. The fire alarm goes off from the humidity in the shower - so they ordered signs that were permanently attached to the bathroom door. So the heat/AC for the room does not control the temperature in the bathroom. Bathroom has no working exhaust...after one quick shower the bathroom is a sauna. Hot water inconsistent. I was told they had a huge hot water tank, but when I took a shower in the evening the water was warm. Breakfast was less than average. They water down the waffle mix (same waffle mix & machine that you see at every hotel). No danish or rolls or donuts. The employees park in the (Diamond, etc) members parking spots. Breakfast is over at 9am.

Watch the time zones. Clean, comfy, and hospitable. The property is so close to the east/central time zones that my phone did not update and I should have missed breakfast and been late to check out. But the front desk guy "had a feeling" someone would come down late so he left breakfast a bit longer and gave me a late check out.

Friendly staff and clean facility. Check-in was easy and the front desk employee overheard my daughter say she hoped we were on the top floor, and they gave us the top floor. It was a small, but very kind and appreciated gesture!

We had booked a room on July 12th. When we got there to check in, they had a tournament going on and the hotel was booked. There were several LOUD people in the lobby. Kids were running up and down the hallways and pool was full. I asked the lady at the front desk if we could cancel our stay and get a refund. She called her manager and the manager said YES!!!! We left, thinking we'd get a refund since we left because they said wed get a refund!!!!! However, that is not the case!!! They refuse to refund me even though they gave me the okay to cancel the room. If Id known they were not going to refund me like they said they would, we'd have stayed. DONT TRUST THIS MANAGEMENT!! Dont tell customers you will do something and NOT DO IT.

My family and I arrived on Saturday, for a family reunion. This hotel was conveniently located and well kept. At the last minute our granddaughter wanted to stay with us, so the staff brought us a cot. We found the staff (Joe, Khesha, and Anna) to be top notch. Thank you for your hospitality

The front desk clerk was very nonchalant, meaning he wasn’t welcoming or particularly nice when we checked out. When I said good morning to other staff, I got a blank stare and no response. There was mold in the shower and the room carpet was dinghy.

The general manager, Corrine, was absolutely amazing! From answering the phone, to checking guests in/out, and running the breakfast buffet to make sure everything stayed stocked and clean. And ALL of this is done with a smile on her face and a positive attitude! You can tell she really takes pride in her job and that’s just not something you see anymore. We had no issues with our stay but I’m sure if there were issues Corrine would have gladly handled them. I can not express enough just how fantastic she was. As a district manager(in the food industry) I would LOVE to have her as a general manager! Thanks again, rockstar!!! I will say that I wish they had those bottles of shampoo and conditioner on the walls of the shower so that you can use as much as you need instead of the travel size products. (It was not an issue at all to get more, just a bit inconvenient if more than one person needs to shower)

Not sure if this is a new build or recently renovated….but the property was very clean. Hallways, room, etc were clean, fresh smelling and nicely designed/decorated. It is located in a small rural area and there isn’t many choices to eat. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The ladies at checkin and checkout were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful.

It was close to Holiday World. The only complaint is that the hotel is considered EST in certain spots throughout while Holiday World was CST. Kind of confusing but not so overwhelming to not stay here. I would also recommend more breakfast options. Besides that, everything else was great!

I was a little hesitant to book given the mixed reviews, but we ended up having a wonderful 3 night stay! The room was clean, the staff were absolutely amazing—one of the employees must have worked straight through shifts because he was there first thing in the morning and still there late at night, always friendly and helpful. The lobby was warm and inviting. We did have some trouble with our key cards not working when we returned at night (which seems to be a common issue), but it certainly wouldn’t stop us from coming back. The location is great—close to Holiday World and the Santa Claus Museum.

Staff was very friendly and check-in/out was easy. Breakfast offered a lot of options. Our room and other common areas were very clean. The only issue was a squealing elevator door which we were told was to be repaired in the next week. Thankfully we couldn’t hear it from inside our room. I would not hesitate to book a room again.

This place should be pulled off of Orbitz. Hard to imagine this place has a certificate of occupancy. Wi-Fi sucked, sometimes ok, sometimes sucked bad. I measured less than 1 Mbps upload/download at times using Internet speed tests. The bathroom door had to remain shut all the time otherwise the fire alarm will go off (as per the permanent sign on the bathroom door). Not a temporary problem. The fire alarm goes off from the humidity in the shower - so they ordered signs that were permanently attached to the bathroom door. So the heat/AC for the room does not control the temperature in the bathroom. Bathroom has no working exhaust...after one quick shower the bathroom is a sauna. Hot water inconsistent. I was told they had a huge hot water tank, but when I took a shower in the evening the water was warm. Breakfast was less than average. They water down the waffle mix (same waffle mix & machine that you see at every hotel). No danish or rolls or donuts. The employees park in the (Diamond, etc) members parking spots. Breakfast is over at 9am.

Disappointed during this stay. TV wouldn’t work and complimentary breakfast wasn’t very complimentary. Showed up with my family an hour before breakfast was over with almost nothing left and when I brought it up to staff, they just passed it off and no breakfast was available for my family.

At first glance we were excited for our stay. Once we got settled in our room we walked down to see the pool and arcade area (which was the whole reason we picked this hotel, my son was excited). The pool looked nice until we realized the ceiling was leaking into the pool and it was later closed, we moved on to the arcade and the change machine wouldn’t work and the few machines that took dollar bills ate them. We went to the desk to ask for change and we were made to feel like an inconvenience. I understood that staff may have been overwhelmed with the amount of people complaining about the pool and other problems, so we went back to our room only to find one comforter had a huge brown stain on it, there were stains on the floor (one looked a little like blood) and hair still in the shower from the previous people. The shampoo was out in our room and for some reason it was so humid in our room, even with the air on it felt wet in there. The bathroom had no exhaust fan and was at least 10 degrees hotter than the room at all times. The free breakfast was supposed to be until 9 but they don’t add anything after 8 and were unplugging the warmers at 8:30 while people were still coming in to eat. Food was typical hotel breakfast food, nothing special. If you have gluten or dairy intolerance there will be nothing for you to eat so make sure you bring something or just expect to have old fruit. It is close to holiday world which is why we went, but we will not be staying here again.
