Wonderful little Inn The owners were very gracious and met all of our needs. They have a wonderful restaurant and bar on the location as well. Definitely recommend to my friends. Can’t wait to go back again.

This is the second time we have stayed at Mooncussers. And my wife and I were not disappointed again! This Inn and restaurant dates back to 1773! It is just charming and the the food at their restarant is just out of this world! We come every couple years to Cape Cod to visit my aunt is East Harwich. I will always make it a point to stay here. Patrick, Annie and Damien do sunch a fantastic job and we could rate this place any higher. Just remember, we are talking abount a building that was built in 1773! There will alway be a few quirky think that pop up, but this is so much cooler than staying at one of the overpriced inns in Chatam. Their rates are very affordable for being on the Cape. Give them a shot if you want a very special and unique experience!

A lovely lodge with excellent dining room and tavern. This is exactly what we were looking for, versus the standard small motel room or sterile Airbnb. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Patrick becomes an immediate friend and quickly attends to all details of the lodge. Annie runs an exceptional dining room / tavern.

This is a very charming inn with tons of character. The accommodations were great, but what set this place apart from others is the people. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. From the innkeepers/owners (Thank you Dan!) to the restaurant crew, everybody made you feel welcome. And by the way, the food was top notch.

Small room with an even smaller shower but how much does this matter when you are staying in a pre revolutionary farmhouse with a great restaurant and tavern right downstairs? Comfortable bed. Wonderful owner/hosts! We will be back. Highly recommend!

Lovely 18th Century farm house with Inn and very popular restaurant on the 1st level. Close to shopping in Harwich and Chatham. Room was clean and spacious and the Inn Keepers are very accommodating and friendly to their guests.

Nice quiet area and friendly owners. We were in room 5. The rooms are on the second floor of the tavern. A spacious room , queen bed. Dinner in the tavern was excellent. The room was very clean and plenty of parking. The shower is a little tight and I did hear some noise from the tavern because we were next to a stairwell above the bar area, but the air conditioner muffled most of it.

I was in town for a wedding & we couldn’t have picked a better place. The cutest area with tons of history & the nicest owners you could ever meet. They were so kind & helpful. the room was exceptionally clean & was tucked above the tavern. I wish we got to try their restaurant but we will definitely be back!

There was an unpleasant smell that we couldn’t source. The room furniture was a mish mash that looked like it had been sourced from numerous other hotels or businesses or a fire sale. The armchairs may have been the source of the odor as they definitely smelled off. We looked for a dead mouse or something but no luck. The plumbing “gurgled” all night long. Housekeeping walked in on us a bit after 9am while we were in bed, no knock or anything. The shower pipes “squealed” loudly the entire time it was on. We went downstairs to request a new room for the second night but there was NO ONE around the first floor of the inn, restaurant or pub. So we left the room key and just left. A staff person saw us in the parking lot and said it was his fault about the housekeeper, that he told her the wrong room number had checked out. We told him about the experience and he just said he was surprised, that people usually liked that room. Later on we emailed about our experience and They didn’t respond in any way to our request for a refund for the second night. Do NOT recommend this inn at all!

More like a B&B than a hotel, only 5 rooms. Owner Patrick met us at the door, expecting our arrival and was quick to help with bags or with a restaurant recommendation. Stayed in room #1 which was huge, with a very comfortable king size bed. Place is old (1774) so floors are uneven, staircase steep and narrow but bathroom while dated is sufficient and shower is strong with plenty of hot water. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a very enjoyable stay at a very nice Inn. Staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful to us setting up our plan to see the area. I found that since our room was above the kitchen and backed up to a storage or office space it was a bit noisy. I would stay there again.

We found the bed comfortable and the room nice. The only drawback was the shower and the bathroom. It was very tiny, there was no place to hang anything and the shower didn’t work well at all. It also would have been nice to have amenities in the room (such as bottled water) or perhaps fresh coffee downstairs. I felt that the room guests were rather an afterthought for the inn, although they did give us ice when we asked for it ( no refrigerator).

Lovely tavern although closed on 4th of July. The room was clean and neat..it was quiet and peaceful. However, I was struck by the fact there was no outdoor sitting space for guests..just the tavern’s outdoor seating. I felt a bit “stuck” in the room. The owner greeted us and was friendly, but there wasn’t anyone around much during the day to ask questions.

This is a very charming inn with tons of character. The accommodations were great, but what set this place apart from others is the people. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. From the innkeepers/owners (Thank you Dan!) to the restaurant crew, everybody made you feel welcome. And by the way, the food was top notch.

More like a B&B than a hotel, only 5 rooms. Owner Patrick met us at the door, expecting our arrival and was quick to help with bags or with a restaurant recommendation. Stayed in room #1 which was huge, with a very comfortable king size bed. Place is old (1774) so floors are uneven, staircase steep and narrow but bathroom while dated is sufficient and shower is strong with plenty of hot water. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely 18th Century farm house with Inn and very popular restaurant on the 1st level. Close to shopping in Harwich and Chatham. Room was clean and spacious and the Inn Keepers are very accommodating and friendly to their guests.

There was an unpleasant smell that we couldn’t source. The room furniture was a mish mash that looked like it had been sourced from numerous other hotels or businesses or a fire sale. The armchairs may have been the source of the odor as they definitely smelled off. We looked for a dead mouse or something but no luck. The plumbing “gurgled” all night long. Housekeeping walked in on us a bit after 9am while we were in bed, no knock or anything. The shower pipes “squealed” loudly the entire time it was on. We went downstairs to request a new room for the second night but there was NO ONE around the first floor of the inn, restaurant or pub. So we left the room key and just left. A staff person saw us in the parking lot and said it was his fault about the housekeeper, that he told her the wrong room number had checked out. We told him about the experience and he just said he was surprised, that people usually liked that room. Later on we emailed about our experience and They didn’t respond in any way to our request for a refund for the second night. Do NOT recommend this inn at all!

The room was very clean and plenty of parking. The shower is a little tight and I did hear some noise from the tavern because we were next to a stairwell above the bar area, but the air conditioner muffled most of it.

A lovely lodge with excellent dining room and tavern. This is exactly what we were looking for, versus the standard small motel room or sterile Airbnb. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Patrick becomes an immediate friend and quickly attends to all details of the lodge. Annie runs an exceptional dining room / tavern.

I was in town for a wedding & we couldn’t have picked a better place. The cutest area with tons of history & the nicest owners you could ever meet. They were so kind & helpful. the room was exceptionally clean & was tucked above the tavern. I wish we got to try their restaurant but we will definitely be back!

It was a very enjoyable stay at a very nice Inn. Staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful to us setting up our plan to see the area. I found that since our room was above the kitchen and backed up to a storage or office space it was a bit noisy. I would stay there again.

Wonderful little Inn The owners were very gracious and met all of our needs. They have a wonderful restaurant and bar on the location as well. Definitely recommend to my friends. Can’t wait to go back again.

This is the second time we have stayed at Mooncussers. And my wife and I were not disappointed again! This Inn and restaurant dates back to 1773! It is just charming and the the food at their restarant is just out of this world! We come every couple years to Cape Cod to visit my aunt is East Harwich. I will always make it a point to stay here. Patrick, Annie and Damien do sunch a fantastic job and we could rate this place any higher. Just remember, we are talking abount a building that was built in 1773! There will alway be a few quirky think that pop up, but this is so much cooler than staying at one of the overpriced inns in Chatam. Their rates are very affordable for being on the Cape. Give them a shot if you want a very special and unique experience!

Small room with an even smaller shower but how much does this matter when you are staying in a pre revolutionary farmhouse with a great restaurant and tavern right downstairs? Comfortable bed. Wonderful owner/hosts! We will be back. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Mooncusser's Tavern. We were in town for a wedding at Wychmere Resort and could not have stayed at a better and more convenient place in Harwich. Room was clean and spacious and everyone could not have been more helpful.

The inn is more of a bar/restaurant than a traditional inn. So the host of the restaurant was also the person checking us in and showing us to our room. We showed up at 6pm which was probably the worst time to show up for the staff. The bed was comfortable if a little soft, pillows were perfect. The AC was just right. We were in Room 2 which is in the oldest part of the inn. The bathroom had a step down and the light switch was near the basin so not ideal in the dark. Although the place was spotless and towels were nice, the bathroom could use updating. The inn is charming but the bedroom wasn’t furnished and decorated in a way that reflects that. Maybe the inn is a new idea and renovations are to come. I hope so as it really is a lovely property. Waking up to hydrangeas outside the window and the sun streaming into the bathroom was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

Check in was simple and pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable . Housekeeping is available when you need a little something extra. Its has a nice big, clean bathroom. Plenty of sunshine fills the room. I will 100% rebook at the Inn. See you in September. The customer service is outstanding. Thank you! TINA KEATING.

The staff was AMAZING. Every person we met from the housekeeping staff, the man who checked us in, and the restaurant staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The property was clean and very charming. The ONLY slight inconvenience was the lack of air conditioning - but we were there in May so it wasn’t too hot. We just went to the store and purchased a little fan and put it in front of the open window: Highly recommend! We were there for a wedding and the location was central to all wedding activities.
