First, I had stayed at this property 30 years ago. It has changed hands since then! This is a great location for shopping and dining. Plus, it’s pretty iconic. The sign is unique and perfect for the location. We were greeted by the current owner. She was friendly and welcoming. The check-in was a bit analog rather than digital.😁 but it was quick. Rooms are accessed by key cards. Before leaving the office, much to my surprise, we were given gift bags of snacks. Really good snacks! Our room was on the second floor. Conveniently, We were able to park nearby. There is no elevator. Stairs are manageable. The room was clean, with no objectionable odors. It obviously had been remodeled. The room had 2 king beds, but we only used one. The sheets were nice, striped, not just standard white. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was newly tiled with new sink and fixtures. The water pressure in the shower was more than adequate. Water was up to temperature very quickly. The towels were large and soft. Overall, our one night stay was a very positive experience. We’d stay here again!

I really like the location and the local businesses close by. Many dining choices that are within walking distance. Many choices in Dining within 3-4 minutes in the car. The bath room looked brand new and shower head pressure was great.

It was well priced and in the right area. Staff was kind and friendly.. You can tell its in the old part of town. Which I personally like. Do note however that it is on a strip that people cruise so its kinda noisy. I would definitely stay there again.

Family owned nicely updated and kept, old school motel. I had stayed in this motel with my family and friends many years ago when my nephews were all quite small and they loved the indoor seasonal heated pool. The oldest is now 30, so it’s been a minute. A different family owns and operates the motel now, but it’s just as nice, if not nicer. They are areas that show the age, for sure, but overall it’s a good stay for good value, and clean. They have replaced locks, doors, shower time, sinks, updated furniture, etc. The motel is centrally located to Manitou Springs & Old Colorado City, so nearby Garden of that Gods (it’s namesake) is a quick drive, as are the entry to Pikes Peak’s Highway to the top of Pikes Peak, the Cog Railway, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, and even the Ghost Town Museum, among other nearby attractions. Downtown Colorado Springs and the Broadmoor neighborhood hosting Seven Falls, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and many other exciting options are a short drive away also. You’re close to many art galleries and lots of touristy shops and restaurants the locals also enjoy. There’s a Safeway Grocery Store just up that block and the room comes with a large mini fridge and microwave should you require those amenities as well. The family running the motel were super kind and accommodating and I know I’ll stay there again in future.

The amenities are simple but clean. We were given a gift bag of snacks when we checked in. The neighborhood has some good restaurants and shops, but there are quite a few homeless people nearby. I felt safe walking in the daylight but paid attention to my surroundings.

Check in was fine; room just ok; smoke smell and cigarette butts everywhere. Not pleased that the rate provided on the receipt was much lower than the Expedia rate I booked and Expedia couldn’t do anything about it.

For the price, this was a great stay. Room was newly remodeled, and very clean. The neighborhood had some rough spots but no one bothered us. Owners were very kind. Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would stay again for the price.

Our stay was very nice! The owners were terrific and helpful and we were all handed a snack bag when we checked in. The motel was updated and VERY clean! The bed and shower and even tv were all very nice! We would certainly stay there again.

We could tell that the staff tries to improve and maintain this property, but it fell short on cleanliness and simple structural issues. The door had a big gap with no weather strip which allowed a yellow jacket into the room that we had to chase and dispense. The microwave did not work, and upon examination I saw that it was unplugged. To grab the plug I had to pull the shelf away from the wall which exposed a bird feather, lots of crumbs and part of an apple. The baseboards were also dusty and the black carpet was stained and in need of stretching. The furniture was newish but it just didn’t feel totally clean due to the above issues. I’m sure that you get what you pay for and it did look to be the best of the roadside motels. The AC shuddered and squeaked to life every little while throughout the night, which combined with some girl screaming outside and our neighbors loud boom music, made for a not so restful night. The snack bags were a nice gesture. Paper cups in the room would have been great so I could make the instant coffee I ran out to purchase.

Upon close inspections the beds were dirty with possible signs of bed bugs. We were fortunate enough to get a refund with the assistance of hotels.com. They need to vacuum their box springs and wash the bed covers. And clean more throughly. The rooms look nice and clean on the surface. After having been exposed to end bugs, I won’t go through that again. The front desk was very angry with the customer service.. yes it’s a motel but still. Sorry to write this review. Online it says extra clean.. which is why I stayed there. I’m thankful for the refund and the great customer service of hotels.com

My room had the best TV of any hotel room i've ever been too which was really surprising considering this is a budget motel. Really impressed with the TV situation and everybody had already loaded their accounts on the TV so you could use their amazon prime no need to login to my own. There was 2 guys who appeared to be living in a creepy van with a cat inside which had my wife paranoid. Maybe they were staying at the motel but they were transient. They did not bother us but it is weird. The lady at the front desk did not seem to be friendly but gave us 2 gift snack bags which we gave to our kids. I have never gotten gifts like this from even fancy hotels. We appreciated it. Shower and bed was nice. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Front desk gave us welcome bags that included water, banana, peanuts, granola bar, apple, fruit snacks & chocolate chip cookies. Room was spacious, beds were comfy, tons of parking in front. Wifi a little spotty, but could be because of the location with mountains.Standard motel without all the bells and whistles, but perfect location for one night in Manitou Springs.

The was friendly. Easy check in and check out. If you are looking for super nice or fancy lodgings, this isn't it. However, we were very well treated and the price fit our budget. The beds are very firm, so if you are looking for soft and fluffy, look elsewhere. We would definitely stay there again.

This place is a great value and nice and close to the Manitou Incline! When we checked in, we got bags with snacks and water, which was an unexpected treat. The area and property seems a little rough on the outside, but the room was well updated and incredibly clean. The only downside was that the AC would not run all night, so it was *too quiet* in our room. The flooring is also kind of weirdly uneven and the TV was challenging to work, but nice when we figured it out. I definitely would stay here again!

the owner/ manager was so nice to us. We dropped by the motel just to let him know that we were going to check in late because we wanted to look around, this was two hours before check in time and he checked us in right away.And to top that off he gave us two bags with all sorts of snacks and water. We told him we were going to check out very early and he gave us an easy way to check out.

I cannot think of anything that I didn't like. Staff was wonderful, room newly redone, clean and comfortable. I will recommend this place to all. It didn't have all the glitz of a place twice the rate, but I don't want or need glitz!

Our stay was excellent. The service was wonderful. Steve and Jenny gracious hosts. Enjoyed the snack bag that they gave us full of fruit and all kinds of goodies. I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s close to everything.

On short notice we discovered we would need a double, not a single king. The host handled our request with a smile and no upcharge. The host also provided abundant tips on places to eat and how to get to places of interest. The location was well situated for easy access to attractions.

The owners are super nice and it is obvious they take prode in the motel. Grounds are well kept and clean. Originally booked for two days but ended up staying 1 additional night because we enjoy it so much. Very close to quain Manitou Springs and around the corner from Garden of the Gods. Definitely recommend!

For the price, this was a great stay. Room was newly remodeled, and very clean. The neighborhood had some rough spots but no one bothered us. Owners were very kind. Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would stay again for the price.

Owners of Motel were very friendly and we loved the bag of snacks at check in. The Motel is a couple blocks from Old Colorado City so could walk and shop. It is also very convenient location for going to Garden of The Gods, Pikes Peak and Manitou Springs cute shopping area. The room was spacious and had been remodeled and was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Area not best but they have updated rooms some big tvs n nice flooring, comforters dingy n pillows very flat, tub plug missing for bath but no breakfast but did give little treat bags when we checked in for two people even though we had 3 people checked in to room but thought was very nice, we shared. Close to ebike n hike garden of gods which my kids did so a plus

I needed a room near Colorado Springs for 4 days but did not want to be in the loud vibe of the busy city. This little place is just West of I-25 and in Old Colorado City, A National Landmark. The street it is on is just wall to wall outside cafes, quaint shops if every genre and just fun to walk and window shop. The Hotel is older but they have done a wonderful job refurbishing it. As soon as I checked in I received a bag with an apple, banana, cookies, muffins and roasted peanuts. Very pleasant owners and my room was large and clean. I would highly recommend this little place

As a number of the other reviews pointed out, this is a motel, and an older one at that. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and did have some nice updates. There was no breakfast—as stated on the website—but staff gives you a nice goody bag; coffee was available in the morning. One negative was that the heating unit would power up for 30 seconds, then go off for 30 seconds the entire stay, which was a little off-putting, but it otherwise worked properly and was warm.

The managers were over the top welcoming and helpful throughout our stay! They presented us with a goodie bag of snacks and fruit! Coffee and drinks were always available in the lobby. Our room was very comfortable and a great value for the area. Location was ideal as we could walk to restaurants and shops in the old city. Will definitely stay here again!!

Old School motel historic colorado springs, 5 minute walk down the street to shops. Subway literally around the corner. rooms are clean, owners are very friendly. A few homeless around the area but just ignore. never felt unsafe or had any issues, rooms are clean and updated. Garden of the gods 3 minutes away and helen hunt falls 10 minutes, really good play overall. No breakfast but give you a goodie bag with fruit and granola bars, bottle watered.

I really like the location and the local businesses close by. Many dining choices that are within walking distance. Many choices in Dining within 3-4 minutes in the car. The bath room looked brand new and shower head pressure was great.

Sweet little motel. Nice owners/staff. Lots of personal touches. It could do with some updates but it is well kept and cared for. Bed was comfortable and little gift bag with snacks provided. Convenient. We walked to dinner. Eclectic but fun area. We would stay again.

Clean room, staff helpful even with opening bottle wine. Only negative is the ice machine was not working during our stay. Parking was great right outside room. Was able to walk to old town colorado from the hotel in 5 minutes seriously. Great location and price. Wifi was fast enough to use for work calls and streaming movies on computer. AC machine worked, slightly weird buttons but they worked fine. Shower was nice strong water output.
