Awesome cabin right at the Village and Train Station. Great Customer Service , easy check in . The Cabin is pristine with its decor , kitchen amenities, comfortable bed , parking , and crisp bed sheets and towels. We had a great time with restaurants close by . Trails are great as well as Susitna River is close by with sights of beautiful sunsets and Denali Peaks.

We had booked a cabin here quite a while ago and it was our first time staying there. Our last night of our 2 1/2 week Alaskan vacation was wonderful. The cabin exceeded our expectations, very clean, plenty of quality towels, great TV, in cabin coffee provided and a well stocked kitchenette. The cabin was nicely decorated and had a relaxing front porch with chairs. The owners were so friendly and check-in and check-out was seamless. They told us about the free music in the park starting later that day and the band was great. We walked all around town, shopped and ate pizza at the Mile High pizza place. At checkout next morning the owner suggested we stop at the Denali viewing pull off down the road. We did and saw the most beautiful landscape of the Denali mountain right in Talkeetna!

The cabins were excellent. Homely, high spec, detached with parking out front. Mike the Owner would have picked us up from the train station if we’d asked and dropped us there once leaving, although it was only a 9 minute walk. The cabin had heating, a ceiling fan, two large double beds, a kitchenette and great shower in the bathroom. There was a rocking chair plus table & 2 chairs in the room too. Nice fluffy towels and shampoo/conditioner. If we ever decided to go to Talkeetna again, we’d definitely stay there again.

The cabin was organized and well decorated. Everything in the kitchen was easy to find because of the forethought of the owners. Parking was easy and plentiful. It was a short walk to the town center or the airport. The stay was comfortable and most pleasant for my wife and I. We did not use the second floor which offered additional beds which would be great for a couple with children. The owners were nice to deal with and quite friendly when we met in person. We would definitely stay again.

Fabulous renovation of the unit we stayed in. It was perfect for our group of 5 women for a night. Nicely decorated and included everything we could have needed. Easy walk to the town, great recommendation for dinner next door. Parked right out front. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The cabins were very clean, so comfortable and beautifully decorated. You can tell someone put a lot of thought and love into all the special touches. Location was perfect where you could walk right into down town Talkeetna. My only disappointment was we didn’t stay longer.

The cabin was spotless comfortable,well furnished, great decor. I felt like the owners really cared about their guests. The amenities were appreciated. It felt like the owners went beyond just the basic necessities. We were impressed. Thank you.

I highly recommend this property for a family. We stayed with our family of four in the Hunter cabin. It was recently renovated, very clean, and well maintained. The beds and pillows were newer too. It had four twin beds upstairs and a queen bed in the downstairs area. The cabin also had a fully stocked kitchen with a stove top, mini fridge, and microwave. (Note: There is a grocery store at the turn off of 3 to Talkeetna, but it is quite expensive. If you plan to cook, I’d buy most of the food in Anchorage and any forgotten items there.) The property is very peaceful. I sat on the porch each morning with a cup of coffee and enjoyed the cool weather and quiet. The property is about 2.5 hours from Anchorage, Denali, and Palmer making is a good jump off point for a lot of things to do in the area. The cabins are also a 5 minute walk to Main Street. The only negative is the train track across the highway. The train whistle sounded at 11pm and 4:30am daily. It’s not a knock on the property because you probably hear it no matter where you stay in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

This property was absolutely wonderful!!! Every detail was attended to with excellence-even down to the lovely flower displays at each location. Decor was top notch! Staff went our of their way to wait for us after a late arrival. Thanks

Nice duplex cabin in Talkeetna. We stayed here for one night on our way to Denali national park. It’s a family owned property and they took care for a nice stay. The kitchenette was nice with basic stuff. They had four beds in the loft and a queen bed downstairs so really good for a big family. Will recommend this property.

This cabin was very well maintained and in a great location near all of Talkeetna’s shops and restaurants as well as the train depot and the airport from which flightseeing planes depart. Without air conditioning, it was a little warm in the four twin-bed loft but they proactively provided a fan to help. There was also a bit of train and plane noise but we all still slept fin.

Absolutely awesome location. Clean, quiet, comfy. Was perfect for our trip! Owner even picked us up at the train, gave us a tour of town, pointing out the best places to visit, then gave us a ride back to the train when we left.

Provided train station pickup and a brief tour of the Town including their riverside park (view of Alaska Range and Denali was spectacular!), Talkeetna museum and historic restaurant areas all a short walk from the hotel. Family owned and operated with newer, clean individual cabins. Great location and great stay. Highly Recommend.

Mike went the extra mile for us. After the train dropped us off in Talkeetna wasn’t sure how we would get to Chinook Cabins. Mike dropped everything and picked us up. At the end of our stay he even took us back to the station. Great place to stay and great customer service from Mike and his wife Tracey.

The Chinook Wind Cabins were ideally located within east walking distance to downtown Talkeetna & the airport. Mike & Stacey were gracious & very helpful. Our cabin suited our needs perfectly. We’ll be back.

This is a truly inadequate place with a horrible owner/ manager. One of the 2 cabins we rented was sprayed with a toxic poison that made it impossible to stay in . The manager was hostile and non- responsive to our request for assistance. A truly horrible experience. Please stay away from this place

Our stay was great, beds comfortable, cabin was very clean and cozy. Close to town. Mike picked us up at the train station and gave us a tour of the town. Very friendly place, he went above and beyond

Absolutely awesome location. Clean, quiet, comfy. Was perfect for our trip! Owner even picked us up at the train, gave us a tour of town, pointing out the best places to visit, then gave us a ride back to the train when we left.

Provided train station pickup and a brief tour of the Town including their riverside park (view of Alaska Range and Denali was spectacular!), Talkeetna museum and historic restaurant areas all a short walk from the hotel. Family owned and operated with newer, clean individual cabins. Great location and great stay. Highly Recommend.

The cabin worked out perfectly for our stay in Talkeetna. We could walk to the jet boat business which was wonderful. We could also easily walk to local restaurants. Talkeetna is lovely and we would highly recommended Chinook Wind Cabins.

Great location across from the local airport and very close to the little shopping and eating area of Talkeetna. The room had all amenities. Very clean. Nice and private. Easy communication with the owner. Highly recommend it.

This cabin was very well maintained and in a great location near all of Talkeetna’s shops and restaurants as well as the train depot and the airport from which flightseeing planes depart. Without air conditioning, it was a little warm in the four twin-bed loft but they proactively provided a fan to help. There was also a bit of train and plane noise but we all still slept fin.

The Chinook Wind Cabins were ideally located within east walking distance to downtown Talkeetna & the airport. Mike & Stacey were gracious & very helpful. Our cabin suited our needs perfectly. We’ll be back.

Our stay at Chinook Wind Cabins was wonderful. The cabin was very clean, well-built and provided everything our family of five needed. The area is quiet and peaceful and we slept well. The proximity to restaurants and shops was wonderful. We loved being able to walk around town, eat at the great restaurants, and visit the cute shops without having to drive. If we have the opportunity, we will definitely return to the Chinook Wind Cabins!

Getting to the cabins was a breeze and we were able to settle in quickly. The cabin itself was really cozy and had everything we needed. Walking to town was a breeze and we wouldn't hesitate to come back again!

The Owner was amazing. He picked us up from the train station, took us around the town to show us the locations that were open. He was accommodating to our requests and their son played in the snow with our son. This was a 5/5 experience. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent room and very nice host (Mike)! Went to the extra mile and didn’t hesitate at all with early checkin and late checkout. Room was spotless and cozy. Will be staying again!

The staff is so helpful and accommodating. The cabins are walking distance to town and the cabins are nicely updated and super clean. Parking is super easy and right out front. The kitchen area is really helpful and it is nice to have real coffee mugs instead of paper cups! We already booked again for next summer.

The cabins are super cute! Stayed in the Brooks Range cabin. Nice kit here for morning tea and snacks. We did a winter getaway and enjoyed an afternoon of shopping in the open gift shops, lunch, a nap and movies. Owners were great with communication and rides with the train station. Highly recommend!
