This was a nice place in a nice location with quirky parking. The price was right. But anyone staying here needs to know it is attached to a restaurant with live or recorded music until 9pm. If you’re out and about until that time, it’s worth it for the cost and convenience. But if you want to bed down before 9, bring your ear plugs.

The property is clean, beautifully located alongside Saratoga Lake. The room is very well cared for with themed decor and very clean and welcoming. There is no staff on site which makes it challenging to communicate issues/needs. There are only 3 parking spots reserved in close proximity to hotel, but 7 rooms. Parking lot indicates “NO overnight parking or towed at owners expense” which was upsetting and there was no staff to clarify. People in the bar said it was okay to park behind the building, which we did, however there is no lighting on an unpaved road with broken glass bottles, not ideal for walking in the dark.

Great place to stay steps from Lake Saratoga and about a half hour drive into Saratoga Springs. Plenty of dining options within a ten minute drive, including the on-site waterfront restaurant (dinner). Check in was smooth, although DIY, with good communication via email providing access codes. Nice view of lake, bar and restaurant downstairs but they close around 10. Clean but tiny room with no amenities like shampoo, etc. so make sure you bring your own! No elevator and we were on second floor. No biggie because we can carry luggage but for those who can't you will need a first floor room. Place was cute and very clean.

This property is gorgeous! It consists of an Inn with 7 rooms, a restaurant/bar, and a beach. The decor is charming with a beach motif. There is plenty of parking, with reserved spaces for guests of the Inn. We were there in January, but the rooms were centrally heated with an extra electric heater in the room. The bed was incredibly soft, and the 6 pillows and comforter (described as plush on the website) were amazing! Dock Brown's - the attached restaurant - was so inviting with a gas fire and live music. There is a coffee/tea station on the 2nd floor. It also had cereal bars, a Keurig, a microwave, and a mini refrigerator. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make us comfortable. There are 2 things to be aware of... When you book through Expedia, the automated email with your entrance codes does not come through. The restaurant manager had to call the Innkeeper (who was off-site) to get the codes. Also, I underestimated the warning on the website about the fact that there was no elevator. My husband and I are disabled and couldn't climb the steep staircase with his heavy oxygen machine. The restaurant manager called the Innkeeper back and got us moved to a downstairs room. Both the restaurant manager and the Innkeeper were incredibly responsive. What could have been a disaster was turned into a blessing. My husband was so excited that he was now across the hall from the bar lol! So, note that High Peaks and Josephine are the only downstairs rooms...

Everything is dusty like over one year without cleaning, microwave dusty and not working, under the bed tons on dust and the sealing full of dust, On top of the refrigerator also full of dust, plus the music in the restaurant very loud we couldn’t sleep well, uncomfortable bed to sleep on. It was very inconvenient sorry to say that. I usually don’t write reviews but this time I have to. I’m sorry owner but it’s not nice to let people styling in a dirty place like that.

The Nest was an awesome choice for us. It was spotless, safe and convenient. Loved the Owl Room. Well appointed decor and cozy bedding. We didnt eat at the restaurant but hope to next time we are there. We had everything we needed for a great night stay. Lake front was beautiful in the morning. Loved, loved, loved it.

I thought everything was lovely. Everyone was pleasant and graciously answered all my questions. The room was clean and the bed was wonderful. The temperature was just right. The television had multiple channels and was easy to work. My only problem was with the WiFi. If you will need it for work, you may have to travel to another spot. Other than that I had absolutely no complaints and I would definitely recommend a stay there. I plan to go back.

Quaint lovely room with a beautiful view of the lake! The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was so cozy. We love the decor of the room, Lady of the Lake, very tranquil. The bar music was able to be heard but did not bother us a bit. Everything was well maintained and the coffee nook upstairs was a nice addition. The water for the shower could be hotter but would definitely stay there again!!!!! Thanks!!

The Inn was nice but much smaller than I expected. It is attached to a restaurant so can be busy at times. There was no one ever at the office so we had to go into restaurant to ask questions and get help with check in. There is coffee and granola bars upstairs in a little corner to make breakfast. The restaurant is not open until 11:00. I could not find a way to regulate the temperature in the room so luckily they had a fan. Room was very nicely decorated and bed was very comfortable. We stayed during the week so it was very quiet. There is a public beach right at the property but it costs $ cash only to use. Shallow swimming area great for kids. Overall was a nice place to stay and beautiful views of the lake.

Interesting place. The room is decorated in a lovely fashion but it is literally the SMALLEST room I have stayed in. I have traveled extensively in Europe where rooms are very small but this is behind those. Also, there is no comfortable place to sit and relax. When you are in the room, your only options are to lay on the bed or sit in an antique hard chair. Finally, it would be great if you let people know that the majority of the rooms are up a windy, steep staircase.

Parking was fine, check-in was easy - just a code. Room (fish creek) was pretty tiny, although the bathroom was good sized. It would make sense in a bathroom that size to have a vanity rather than a pedestal sink, though. There's no place to put your toiletries. The most interesting thing about the bathroom was the shade on the window, which provided very little privacy. Maybe it was different from the outside looking in, but from the inside looking out, you can see everything going by. I tried to figure out what I might be doing wrong, but there was no other apparent window covering.
Parking was fine, check-in was easy - just a code. Room (fish creek) was pretty tiny, although the bathroom was good sized. It would make sense in a bathroom that size to have a vanity rather than a pedestal sink, though. There's no place to put your toiletries. The most interesting thing about the bathroom was the shade on the window, which provided very little privacy. I enjoyed the self-check in aspect. It was very easy. The room itself was very cute and clean. Only disappoints were that there wasn’t a thermostat in the room (we got a bit cold but couldn’t change that), and the wifi was too weak to reach our room (we connected in the hallway but lost it when we went into our room). But the price was right for its proximity to Saratoga Springs!

Very cute spot - I imagine even better in the summer! Room (beachside bungalow) was a little small, but very comfortable. You can hear the live music from downstairs, but it ended promptly at 9:30 every night - so we didn't mind at all. Lots of hiking and nature nearby. Very easy check in and out with keypads to get in/out. We'd stay again!

I come out for 2 concerts at Caffè Lena every year, I love being by the water and everyone is so helpful and friendly at Dock Browns restaurant, I was talking about the nest last concert and ran into them staying here this year. Nice surprise.

Very hot. Reached out to Nicole first day but no response. Keurig was filthy. Couldn’t get a cup without coffee grounds in it. Refrigerator was packed at all times so no room for our things. Bartender was very rude when we asked for ice & for our wine to be opened. Never a Nest parking place to be had for three days.

The check-in process really needs some work, and it would not take much. First, I did not receive any check-in details from the property ahead of my stay, and when we arrived, I just went to the restaurant to ask since that's what I'd seen (in the reviews) that others had done. Second, there should really be a simple sheet of paper in the guest rooms with basics like the WiFi info, where to find the mini fridge (there is NOT one in the rooms), and how to get into the building after hours. My husband had to go out to our car for something early this morning and luckily I stayed inside, or yet again, we would have been locked out (the code for our room was not the same as the code for the exterior door after hours). There is no front desk person on site as far as we could tell and while the restaurant team is helpful, it's clear this is not their job. Other than the above negatives, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and in general our stay was adequate. I just probably won't be back and wouldn't feel right recommending this place to others, which is a shame - it's a cute spot and could be so much better if the ownership just paid SLIGHTLY more attention to the guest experience.

Upon arriving after attending a concert, the door code we were given did not work and we were unable to enter our room. We called the after-hours help line for assistance, but the person we spoke to was off-site and unable to do anything but tell us the same faulty code. She then gave us three phone numbers for on-call supervisors to help us, but no one answered on any of those lines. It took a second call to help line and a repeat of all the steps all over again before they finally contacted someone in the attached restaurant to come help us get in 30 minutes later. Everything was great, except that the concept of receiving a code to enter the hotel is NOT TRANSPARENT ENOUGH at the time of reserving the place. We were waiting outside at night in the cold until someone came out to help. And while we were staying there two more couples came in and endured the same negative experience.

This was a nice place in a nice location with quirky parking. The price was right. But anyone staying here needs to know it is attached to a restaurant with live or recorded music until 9pm. If you’re out and about until that time, it’s worth it for the cost and convenience. But if you want to bed down before 9, bring your ear plugs.

It was great for stopping by for the night. Room was smaller than expected with a 6’4 husband but we made it work. The views of the lake were great! Parking was a little confusing at first, but worked out as well. Great little lakeside stop :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Nest especially the location. Beautiful views on the shores of Saratoga Lake and loved the South Western decor of the room. Our room was right across the hallway from the restaurant where we had dinner both nights. Everything that we came there to do was just a few miles away, so the location was great too.

Great stay while attending the Saratoga jazz festival! Michelle, the owner of the inn, was so helpful and inviting that I would highly recommend staying here if in the area. And the restaurant was very much enjoyed and the room was beautiful! The staff was super friendly and helpful.

I have an extensive list/letter that I intend to share with the owner, and know that it won’t fit here. Many of the listed amenities, restaurant hours, etc. were false. No bottles of water, no AC in rooms, kitchen closes at 9pm not 10pm, had to park quarter mile away or illegally to unload car both nights, the list keeps going. I knew my room was upstairs, but where are the stairs? No signs. No maps given. My room was 80 degrees BOTH nights! And after the parking debacle, I wasn’t going to ask for a thing. I was extremely frustrated. The place has serious potential but they’ve got their hands in too many different money making ploys, the overnight guests are neglected. My honest opinion. Last morning there, figured out my room hadn’t locked ANY of the times I’d left it. No instructions on how to do so! Again, I intend on emailing the owner. Too many issues to list.

I was looking for convenience and didn't realize this was right on the lake. It was wonderful to have such a perfect spot with a beach and a band in the evening. The food at the restaurant was pretty good although service was very slow. The room was nice and I slept great but something rolled under the bed and I came out looking like a dust bunny. I would definitely come back here again though. It's a cute, comfortable and convenient place. I would definitely recommend.

The property was cozy and quaint - exactly what you would want with a romantic or relaxation gettaway from the big hotel chains. The restaurant had exceptional live music, interesting and friendly locals and great food and drink. The room was exceptionally well maintained and clean. Check in and out was easy. Have raved about it to our friends and we’ll stay again!

Tavern downstairs was good. Loud music late into the evening from a party in a big tent in the parking lot. Tavern staff were nice but no contact with anyone with The Nest (just an email). Glad for coffee in the morning.

Absolutely loved my stay in the owls den. It was just me and it was SO cozy with all the lamps & the view of the sunset on the water. 2 things I would recommend is coffee of some sort some way whether in the rooms or common area. Also, the picture frame in the common area should have a photo! It would help personalize the spot. Truly such a gem of a place!! Thank you
