Great location away from the crowds but with all the big city amenities and more. Hot tub, (actually) heated indoor pool with a waterfall, free hot breakfast, 2 fire pits, an outdoor movie screen, hammocks and cornhole on the lawn. The staff was helpful. The surrounding scenery was beautiful. Short scenic drive to Cades Cove. Caverns around the corner. A few good restaurants and a brewery within walking distance. Saw a little bear wondering nearby. Definitely book this one!

Room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom is small and lighting was a bit difficult. We had a gas fireplace but couldn’t get it to work. The HVAC unit is dated and had a smell when running. The place is decent for the area, great for kids, I’m sure.

Second time staying and next time we will stay more then one night, each time we find something new that we missed or discover about the property and Townsend. Its clean, quite, modern.

Rooms were dated but clean. If you get second floor be ready to carry your belongings up stairs. Parking is the real problem here. If you go at busy times you may be parking completely on the other side of the campus from where your room is. Not a good feeling.

The location is awesome! You’re close to coffee shops, restaurants, and a bike trail for miles with adorable decorated tunnels and a park for littles to play. The lodge is beautiful but is on the older side, so a few things needed upgrading, but the place is very clean. The breakfast is a basic continental breakfast, but it’s included! We saw an outdoor screen for outside movies but never saw anything about movies playing, saw a sign for a game room but never saw it, there was a pickleball court but couldn’t find the equipment. So, I’m not sure about some of the amenities. You don’t get daily towels or daily room service, but when you did actually see someone, they were helpful in getting the things you needed. It was super chill and quiet the beginning of the week but then around Thursday/Friday it was like bikers came in from all over and there was no parking near our building, but we made it work. All in all, we loved the location and will probably be back next fall break. It’s probably the nicest place in Townsend! Thank you so much!
