Nice to be in an annexe so no noise from the pub. Accomodation was good for the price paid and the pub was an excellent local and well patronised. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed at the Mount Inn for 4 nights and I must say for the price per night, it was fantastic value. We each had an ensuite twin room which had a nice homely feel to it. The bed was very comfortable. It had a nice big car park at the rear of the pub which was perfectly safe for our motorcycles. Breakfast was great and there was a nice varied menu for evening meals in the pub. The Landlord and landlady were so helpful and couldn't do enough for you. This pub / hotel is thoroughly recommended.

Perfect for me and the puppy as I was able to park car/kennel right outside in the quiet car park. Secluded spot just away from the main high street. Lovely friendly pub, great food, no fuss! Accommodation basic (perfect for me and dog) but clean, all facilities worked well. The only thing I missed was a comfy chair to sit and read... but the bed sufficed (very comfy btw). Would definitely go back.

Great location, good old friendly village pub with well equipped, comfortable room and nice food. Shops and eating places nearby if the pub's food doesn't do it for you - but I can't see why it wouldn't. Nice people running the place - very welcoming, also nice and quiet. Very quick at getting me booked in, less than a minute. 1 minute walk to town centre, private parking on site, tea & coffee, en-suite room + a radiator that was hot. Only issue is I needed to be away early and couldn’t check out until 7:30am. Breakfast starts at 8am. Good for private stays but not when your on the road travelling for business.

Quaint, old hotel full of character. We stayed in purpose built annexe. Usual facilities & comfortable. Shower good but otherwise water pressure poor, however this did not affect our stay. The staff are very, very friendly and hospitable.

Lovely location with ample parking on site. The room was OK, warm and welcoming, but the mould in the bathroom really needs addressing. Breakfast was great and they cater for gluten free which is always a huge plus for me. Great for a quick stop over for work.

Welcomed as soon as I walked in. Very happy with the room, it was clean and warm plus a hot shower, breakfast and service was lovely. Would definitely recommend and certainly stay again.

Staff and service were excellent, prompt check in, and very friendly black lab pub dog! Rooms were tired - mostly clean but shower grout needs a good clean, bathroom radiator needs rust sanded off and fresh paint. Mattress old, lumpy and too hard. Pub noise till very late. Breakfasts excellent and fast, plenty of food, good coffee.

I stayed at The mount Inn for a weekend. The room was very clean and Tidy . I had dinner there which was lovely . Nice choice of food and very reasonable prices. The breakfast was lovely too ! The staff were very friendly and welcoming ! I would definitely stay there again .

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Thoughtful toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities were appreciated. Paper thin walls and very outdated furnishings meant it wasn’t the best night’s sleep. Generally clean but the bathroom was miserable. Couldn’t get the shower on more than a luke warm trickle. Didn’t actually want to be in there but needs must. Although it was one of cheapest rooms available for our quick stop off on a longer journey, the accommodation was sadly lacking. Don’t include breakfast (although it was nice) and charge less. I should have spent the extra £30 for the next one up. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The bar area was good nice and friendly staff Food was and reasonably priced I could'nt have the full breakfast due to having to be out early but i did have some cornflakes and toast and a sausage sandwich to take away The breakfast did look good that others had..The bedroom was disappointing The smell from the drain s in the bathroom ,mould in the shower area due to lack of ventilation,and dirty shower .No bathroom ameanities ,no soap or anything only towels.The kettle had to sit on the floor due to lack of socket and the television. was on the wall and the lead just about reached the socket on an adjacent wall. Bed was comfortable and clean

The accommodation is fairly basic, but it met my needs fully. The room was warm and bed comfortable, the shower was lovely and warm too. Everything was very clean. The accommodation is based at the Mount Inn, breakfast was included and the Inn offered a good choice of evening meals. I was spoilt for choice, and eventually chose the mint & pea fritters as a starter and the broccoli & Caulifower bake for main meal. Both were delightful. I found the staff very polite, friendly, and accommodating. Due to problems with my car I had to extend my stay, and was welcomed to stay longer. I cannot fault anything about my stay at the Mount Inn, and would highly recommend it. I look forward to staying there again in future when visiting the area. The surrounding countryside and river Severn is lovely for walking.

A great wee traditional pub with good beer and good food. Very friendly and efficient staff. Our bedroom was nice and spacious and the beds comfortable. The only issue we had was the shower head was positioned very low over the bath , making it very difficult to use.

Nothing fancy but a good choice for a night with its central location. Spacious room (although bathroom was a bit small). Quiet at night, even though there isn't any traffic, it had double glazed windows. Super friendly hosts who let me check in early because of the rain.

Second time I’ve stayed and James and the team are very welcoming, food is great and the locals are incredibly friendly. It is becoming an annual pilgrimage for me on my motorcycle and I will definitely come again.

Other than one issue spoken about with proprietor, who said some works planned, cannot fault. So friendly, approachable and even small touch like providing a large bowl of hot crispy roast potatoes whilst watching the Wales vs France rugby wonderful. Breakfast really good, bed comfortable nights sleep. Would stay again

Great location, good old friendly village pub with well equipped, comfortable room and nice food. Shops and eating places nearby if the pub's food doesn't do it for you - but I can't see why it wouldn't. Nice people running the place - very welcoming, also nice and quiet. My second visit, and it won't be my last

A lovely two night stay whilst working in the area. Despite being in the middle of town, was very quiet. Room clean. Bed great. Staff really friendly. Will be back again to explore walking routes with the family.

Nothing fancy but a good choice for a night with its central location. Spacious room (although bathroom was a bit small). Quiet at night, even though there isn't any traffic, it had double glazed windows. Super friendly hosts who let me check in early because of the rain.

Very quick at getting me booked in, less than a minute. 1 minute walk to town centre, private parking on site, tea & coffee, en-suite room + a radiator that was hot. Only issue is I needed to be away early and couldn’t check out until 7:30am. Breakfast starts at 8am. Good for private stays but not when your on the road travelling for business.

Hotel room was clean and serviced every day. A very old pub setting with lots of history. Very convenient for the town of Llanidloes. Friendly staff. Good breakfasts. Tea and coffee making facilities are good in rooms, but I can only drink de-caf coffee, which was not available. Only downside on this trip was the non availability of dining until after 8.0 o'clock on our first night as there was a large party booking in the pub. However, there are a few restaurants in the town as alternatives. That said, the food in the pub is very good.

A really decent place to stay, rooms are sizeable and have what you need although a little dated; staff are really friendly and helpful and they do a good breakfast.

Great old pub accommodation. Friendly and helpful staff. Cooked breakfast arr good. Only problen was that we found out they didn't serve food on Monday evenings (the day we arrived), would have been good to know in advance so we could make alternative arrangements. Otherwise very happy with stay.

The rooms were clean ,beds comfortable, food excellent, choice of cask ale and other drinks excellent,staff and managers friendly .An all round graet place to stay or visit, will be going back soon.

Other than one issue spoken about with proprietor, who said some works planned, cannot fault. So friendly, approachable and even small touch like providing a large bowl of hot crispy roast potatoes whilst watching the Wales vs France rugby wonderful. Breakfast really good, bed comfortable nights sleep. Would stay again

For the price cant fault the room, bed was comfortable. Issue was with the pub for meals, be warned if staying here and wanting food may be worth booking table in advance. We arrived at 5pm to find food started being served at 6pm and there was no table available until 8pm! Not the best with two hungry teenagers..

I was disappointed that they don't do food on Monday nights, however its a 2 minute walk into town, the breakfasts were good and they put up a packed lunch which was more than enough. The meal on the Tuesday night was excellent, could not fault it. I would stay again.

Easy check in, staff friendly, rooms adequate (beds a bit bouncy, spring mattress.). Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Great one night stay - staff were great and helped with our bikes to make them secure Food was excellent after a long bike ride and breakfast was a treat on a bike packing trip .

As always our stay at the Mount Inn was great. Clare and James are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The hotel/pub is very old, which only adds to its character, and we did have an issue with the toilet not being fixed suitably to the floor. However, when I explained the problem to James he fixed it straight away. The included breakfasts are excellent with a wide choice. Other meals in this pub are also good, if you don't fancy going out in the evening. The bar is very relaxed and people very friendly. This was our fourth stay at the Mount Inn and we will be booking again.
