The Monastery is just beautiful. Staff were wonderful. The food was delicious. Everything was sparkling clean and the history so intriguing. There is limited parking at the hotel, but plenty near by. The city is very walkable lots of shops and restaurants. Lots to do and see. I highly recommend taking time to do a guided museum tour the staff person who did our tour was a retired teacher, she was wonderful, full of knowledge and very entertaining!

This hotel is a sanctuary and spa, literally. Stunning inside and out for anyone who wants peace and quiet. The focus is on health in all food offerings. We stayed to explore old Quebec as tourists. It was lovely to return to this oasis after a full day. You can also book packages, mind and wellness, and never leave the property.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, quiet and restful. Great services, including a free tour of the monastery’s museum by a very knowledgeable guide and volunteer, Anna. Massage by Helen was amazing. The whole experience was a wonderful retreat from the buzzing Quebec City.

The place is lovely, staff is wonderful and helpful. THe shared bathrooms felt safe and clean. Our only complaint was the frequent shortage of paper towels and bath towels. But I would go back again!

I stayed four nights in this wonderful historic property right in the heart of the old city of Quebec. I chose one of the authentic rooms and was very comfortable. The whole place was welcoming and peaceful. The shared washrooms were bright and clean, and I never had an issue where there wasn't one available when required. The staff were friendly and helpful with information. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful property, pristine clean. I have never seen a place as shiny clean as this and I stay in places like Fairmont. The place has a calm and positive energy in it, I felt it within 2 minutes after I walked in. The kitchen has healthy good food. It is very close (like 5 to 10 minutes walk) to the tourist attractions and great restaurants. Highly recommend it.

I had a very good stay here. Walking through the hallways and seeing the artifacts was very interesting and learning how life was in the past. There was a good selection of food for breakfast. The area is quiet and so were the rooms. Be sure to watch your head in the "authentic" rooms. The hallways and shared bathrooms were consistently clean; however, I wished the stains in the hallway carpets were removed.

The Monastere is a converted former convent. The rooms are in two wings built in the 1600s. They are small and minimally furnished. The bathrooms are shared in the hall. Though there is a floor with more modern rooms with private baths. The breakfast was good, though taken in silence. The location in the historic center was excellent. The Monastere is a good place to sleep, surrounded by lots of history. But the quiet and the small rooms are not for everyone.

Loved staying at this very unique and different sort of accommodation! The only downsides were that our bathrooms were down the hall and shared with other guests and gentlemen and tall women might have to duck to enter the short doorway entrance to the bedroom. Breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful. Each room is decorated slightly differently, but all quaint and cozy - a fun adventure!

Nice location central to the main old city. Quiet. Rooms lack distractions such as phones or TV. Can take city bus from the aerogare, but a little distance to walk from bus stop to the front door (not a problem if you regularly walk).

The bathroom has little shelf space to put toilet bags, not hanging space for wet towels. Our room faced an office building wall 20 feet away. Room and towel service are every second day only. Restaurant is pretty midiocre. No lounge space. No comfortable seating at all.

Rude and unprofessional front desk staff during check-in. Very Small room with only 2 beds and nothing else. It looked more like a jail cell but even jail cells have a toilet in them but these rooms don’t. We did not stay in this place because of the room condition and the girl in front desk who was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional.

The Hôtellerie d'Expérience au Monastère des Augustines does full justice to its name, it is wonderful. The Hôtellerie d'Expérience au Monastère des Augustines does full justice to its name, it is wonderful. This is a very unique property!! This hotel is a section of a functioning monastery and historic hospital. Rooms are tastefully modern nestled along hallways of religious artifacts. The front door/main entrance is just up the hill from the train station. The back entrance is steps away from the main tourist streets of the area.

This location is pretty central to everything in the upper level of Quebec City. Just a block or two up a slight hill and then you are near all the shops, restaurants, and most of the main attractions. The staff was nice and accommodating and it was quiet but comfortable.

Nice location central to the main old city. Quiet. Rooms lack distractions such as phones or TV. Can take city bus from the aerogare, but a little distance to walk from bus stop to the front door (not a problem if you regularly walk).

Hidden treasure !! Loved the QUIET..!!, excellent rooms and bathroom, the breakfast is AMAZING....& GREAT COFFEE. Very walk-able within the Old Quebec City...did not need a car for what we wanted to experience. The Promenade, Chateau Frontenac, Citadel, walk top of citadel walls, amazing restaurants which we need to return to try more! Book a private walking tour....early...certainly helps with orientation & history. Hotel des Augustines is ..actually....perfect.

The Monastere is a converted former convent. The rooms are in two wings built in the 1600s. They are small and minimally furnished. The bathrooms are shared in the hall. Though there is a floor with more modern rooms with private baths. The breakfast was good, though taken in silence. The location in the historic center was excellent. The Monastere is a good place to sleep, surrounded by lots of history. But the quiet and the small rooms are not for everyone.

Love the unique style! First day I felt a bit overwhelmed with the religious paintings. But then I immersed myself in. Only 2 things is a bit annoying- the bedroom door on the third floor are very loud when open or close. And the dinner is expensive for me.

The Monastery is just beautiful. Staff were wonderful. The food was delicious. Everything was sparkling clean and the history so intriguing. There is limited parking at the hotel, but plenty near by. The city is very walkable lots of shops and restaurants. Lots to do and see. I highly recommend taking time to do a guided museum tour the staff person who did our tour was a retired teacher, she was wonderful, full of knowledge and very entertaining!

Been already 3 times at the Monastery and every time it was an amazing stay! More than a hotel, it is an experience you can't miss. A quiet place full of history in every corner. Breakfast is always included and offers amazing homemade food, woth plenty of vegan options. Highly recommend!

Hervorragendes Hotel, schöne saubere Zimmer, super Lage direkt in der Altstadt von Quebec, trotzdem sehr ruhig. Als Hotelgast geht man zu den Zimmern an den Museumsobjekten vorbei. Ausstellung sehr interessant. Parkgebühren waren ok. Besonders gut hat uns das Frühstück gefallen. Beim Breakfast in Silence sollte man sich bemühen, nicht laut zu sprechen, so dass die Atmosphäre im Frühstücksraum einfach einmalig war. Die Qualität der Speisen war wirklich super. Das Hotel ist zwar teuer, aber wir würden auf jeden Fall nochmals hinfahren. Die Altstadt von Quebec ist zudem super schön.

The bathroom has little shelf space to put toilet bags, not hanging space for wet towels. Our room faced an office building wall 20 feet away. Room and towel service are every second day only. Restaurant is pretty midiocre. No lounge space. No comfortable seating at all.

AMAZING hotel experience!! An absolute highlight of my trip!!! I stayed with a friend in an “authentic” room with two twin beds. The beds were SO comfortable and the room was perfectly clean. I was worried about the “shared bathroom” situation, but there were 6 bathrooms that locked, so once inside, it was private with huge shower, great water pressure, and amazing spa-quality soaps! The “silent breakfast” is worth adding to your stay: the food is delicious, healthy, varied, high-quality, and a peaceful way to start your day! The hotel is close to everything: exit out the back door and you’re half a block off Rue Saint-Jean with all its shops and restaurants. DEFINITELY take the historical tour of the monastery (one hour, offered daily, free with your stay). So fascinating, and made the experience even more special. We stayed here two nights at the beginning of our trip before traveling north, then returned to Quebec City and stayed in a different hotel—I regret not returning to the monastery for that final night of our trip. SUCH a special hotel, I’d absolutely return and recommend it to anyone traveling to Quebec City!!!
