The only reason we booked it was because of the low price compared to other accommodation in the area. If you did not made a reservation for parking, good luck. The cleanliness was abysimal: blood stain on the bedsheet, window's handle was broken, questionable marks and dirtiness on the wall, etc... The staff were quick to respond to our questions and the indications were clear so that is good. Overall, for a one-time deal, its manageable, but I can't recommend it for more than a single night. At least, it has a low price, but you'll have what you'll pay.

A large room on the 3rd floor. The bathroom is also spacious. It is perfect for relaxing. Parking is not a problem.

When we got on site we got told we couldn't have access to a parking space and the indications weren't clear as there were many different phone numbers written. A man came up to us to say that it was normal that we couldn't have a parking since we hadn't paid before coming. I explained to him that we followed what was on expedia. Then he made us pay for the room and said that the website wasn't updated in a long time and that we couldn't have what was written. He gave us a room that was dirty with snot, other bodily fluids and trash still left in the drawers. The microwave was dirty and there was no shower curtains. When he asked him about it, his answer was "yeah, we're working on it. So are you taking the room or not?" Mind you we already had paid by this point so we agreed because it was too late. The building has a foul smell to it. We went to buy cleaning supplies at the dollar store : clorox wipes, shower curtain, cleaning gloves, trash bags (yeah no trash bags or trash bin available), toilet paper and paper towels, bathroom cleaner, scrubber and a few other stuff like a shower mat. There was black mold in the shower as well. I understand the price is cheap but you should at least give to the customer what you put on your offer and also provide a clean place. That's the bare minimum. Awful place, I wouldn't recommend. By the way we left some of the cleaning supplies in the room in case they also don't clean before the next tenant. At least you'll get a shower curtain.

I would be ashamed to ask money for such a dirty place. There was vomit in the stairs at front door when we arrived and it was still there when we left around 10:45am. They asks to remove your shoes which is normal but they don’t clean the floor so I had to walk in dirt. The shower had not been cleaned, there was a pair of someone socks in the room so they did not even go around to make sure there was no items left from previous guest. The bed was against a window curtain that was totally gross, they should at least do the basic cleaning. And i had to go walk in puddles of mud to put my garbage in a bin in the backyard (isn’t it housekeeping job?) The bins were overflowing so the person who is responsible to clean the place does not bring the bins out to be picked up by the city. And the « cleaning » lady entered the room around 10:30 am as I was picking up my stuff without even knocking at the door. Did not apologized when I told her I was not ready. Check-out is at 11am. I had to go move the car before 8am and every hours after or risk a fine. Advertisement says there is parking but when you get there you are not allowed to use it. They provided no information on how to get inside and which room is yours until you call them and they don’t answer the phone. I had to contact Expedia customer service to have assistance to get my room and key code. They are rude. That was the worst experience I ever had.

1) Waiting outside the front door for nearly an hour 2) Having a man taken you to another address past midnight 3) The sheet had multiple stains on it 4) Change the sheet at 1:30 AM in the night - with another that also has stains on it 5) A smelly fridge with hair in it 6 And mull in the shower Now they refuse to make a refund Thank you.

Not really any staff, it's just a house where you call someone they give you a code and you can go in. The place looks like it isn't cleaned regularly. Wouldn't even recommend walking without shoes or socks. Shower had mold in it, toilet seat was broken, no towel rack or toilet roll holder. Mattress was disgusting, sheets definitely weren't clean as they gave me acne after my stay which only happens with dirty sheets. Only decent thing about this place is that it was close to veld. Otherwise would not recommend under any circumstances.

Where do I start, my room was freezing in the basement. Bathroom ceiling was moist with mold. My bed had a bed sheet and an old comforter. The shelves was old with gums on it. The desk was old. I found 2 bed bugs. I told the host I was cold, he didn’t do anything about it. I lay down with my coat on and I couldn’t sleep at all. I checked out at 5:45 am because I couldn’t take it anymore . It’s not worth the money.

It was totally different from the pictures and what was written in the description. Such a terrible place and it was very expensive, you can find better hotels at the same price. There was no staff at all, we had to take our garbage out ourselves. The room didn’t had any garbage bins. The whole place was very noisy you could hear the voices from other rooms clearly and loudly. Not recommended, avoid this place.

There was a cockroach on the wall when I arrived in my room, nasty bedsheet and silicon marks on the curtain. Plus there were a lot of noise from the other rooms, wall are very thin. That was very bad.

The only complaint i have is that the place was dirty. Could see dead flies in the bathroom sink.

Nothing matches the descriptions and the owner was aggressive and rude. there was black mold in the room they gave me and I had to leave before unpacking.They refused to give me a dime back even though i had to pay the ful amount for 5 nights in 3 roooms before even seeing this. I dont mean a little mold..this was disgusting and effects everyone in that place. Genuinely needs to get shut down

A third floor room with a bathtub !

Nothing there was no TV there was a hole in the wall above the bed that somebody punched the neighbour was constantly talking. All night came through like he was sitting in the same room. It was horrible. Even the windows didn’t have handles on them.

The room has a desk handy to use the laptop and go through papers. It's quiet and cozy.

I booked a double bed but was given a single bed with one pillow. I asked the property why I was given and asked to refund portion on my payment but was left seen. The room was on the 3rd floor and I had to carry my luggage up by myself. No AC and the bed is wobble and the bed frame is too small for the mattress. The would not recommend this space

Clean. Thin walls. No coffee maker. Price is very low .No refrigerator. One double bed. One desk. One chair. A blanket and a towel. Hand soap and toilet paper. Excellent for the price and privacy. Upon arrival at the property you will need to call the number sent to your email and give your location. The person who takes the call will give you another number to call and she will give you the room number and the access number for the house.

Mattress were awful and noisy

Air conditioning but not adjustable, bathroom clean. Did not like box fan did not work, toilet seat one side loose broken, and frigarator needs to be defrosted should have a t.v. bed was ok.

I was present 20 minutes before my checkin time of 3 pm. I callled the host , he said he was going to send me text message on what to do next. I was infront of the building for more than 1 hour after checkin time waiting for directions to no avail. I had to leave in frustration, not knowing where to go. Until now , almost 12 midnight, he hasn’t contacted me. It’s really bad, keeping me stranded on the streets of Toronto under the cold.

The owner and workers are so kind... Especially Maria. They are very accommodating to different needs and very kind to all people ☺️

Excellent Service

The check in process was long and unnecessarily complicated. When we arrived, there were 3 numbers listed on the door, none of which actually arrived when we called them. It took us 45 minutes to actually get into our room and we were stuck outside of the building. Once inside, our keys were labeled improperly and the lock to our room door was barely able to open and shut. There was also a latch to lock the door from the outside!? The bathroom was missing bare essentials; no soap or towels and it was shared for the entire second floor (4 rooms). Overall, the check in process made us feel very unsafe as a young couple travelling together. The service and amenities we received did not match the listed price and description we were given. I don’t usually give negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience so other travellers know what they’re getting into. Please consider booking elsewhere or making serious improvements to the property!!

The owner made 0 effort to try and contact me, she wasn’t ready for when I arrived to the property; in fact, she wasn’t even there. When I asked how long would I have to wait, she said ‘I don’t know’, never showed up nor showed any concern. We waited outside the property for a long time, the weather was horrible that day and she didn’t offer any solution. The instructions for checking in were unclear and confusing, and apparently she doesn’t know how to read since I stated that I was staying for 3 nights. She thought I was a student that was staying for more than a month; since I wasn’t she didn’t care at all about my situation. Rude, improper and unprofessional. Never again.

I was attending an event at Rogers Stadium & booked this accommodation as it was within walking distance. I received messages with check-in instructions - press door bell & wait. No one came. After a half hour I called the number in the documents. Someone said they would come in 5 minutes; 30 minutes later a member of staff arrived who claimed to have no knowledge of the reservation even though I showed him the printed confirmation. He was uncommunicative, unhelpful and frankly rude and did not show any interest in helping. By this time a couple of young girls had also arrived and he said the property was being renovated so would take them to another one nearby. When I asked why I couldn't also go to this place as well he just shrugged and didn't answer! As I was by now going to be late for the event I had to drive off to get there in time. As all the hotels near the venue were full, and there would not have been time to find one further out, after it was finished I had to sleep in the car! Is this the fault of the completely unprofessional and incompetent property owners or did Hotels.com not send them the booking. This place should be removed from your listings immediately and probably others the same landlord may operate. Luckily no money had been paid but it was more then inconvenient. Do Hotels.com even vet the properties they deal with in any way? It seem not to me. Is there any scope for compensation for the lack of a reserved room?

It was a run around to check in and get a room. Had to ring bell call numbers text numbers it was a big long whole process.

Misleading main picture. You have to scroll through pics to see actual address, which is a smaller house in what seemed not a great neighborhood. I never stayed there after driving there and being worried about the accommodations. I booked elsewhere.

Close to subway and fast food restaurant

Everything went very well, the host was very kind in welcoming us and giving us directions to the place. The place is well connected with the Union Station (1). The journey is long, but for the price, it's fine.

-Address of place I stayed not the same as what I booked. -After I took an Uber from the Airport to the property, I had to call 3 different phone numbers until I finally got a hold of someone from the company. -Maris sent me to 2 different addresses until she contacted an associate of hers to meet me in a quite sketchy area. -The associate led me on a rocky walkway between 2 townhouses to the back of the property. -The room was a garage converted into a room. Bed was a metal bedframe with only 1 pillow. Small bathroom with little room to move. - No air conditioning or towels when I arrived. Had to ask for both and got a fan and one semi ratty towel for a 4 day stay. -Only good things about my stay was the room was clean and had a fridge and microwave. -Also close to York University which has a nice campus and close to the TTC train line into Downtown Toronto. -Will not stay or recommend booking with this company again.

I stayed for 5 nights during the Veld music festival and was overall very happy here. It's not a hotel and you won't get the experience of one. But if you're someone who is used to budget traveling including hostels, dorms, shared living and the likes, then the "quirks" of this property are probably fine for you. The area felt safe and generally quiet as it's residential. Nearby are a lot of options for food, services and shopping, but far from entertainment and nightlife. But the bus stop directly across the street helps! I'd consider staying again if I found myself returning to that area of Toronto. Thank you!

A comfortable spacious room. There are several dining options just two blocks north at the Quad building.

Great location. A few minutes walk to Yorkgate mall. Finch subway is just 10 minutes walking distance away. There is public transportation at your door. The place is clean and the room is big.

Stayed for a night. Experienced no noise after 10.30pm. No issues with check in or out. Spoke with someone, no issues. Will book again.

Check in was easy & efficient, bed was comfy. The room had 2 fans one didn’t work and the second was broken and rattled, the fridge was dirty and on its last gasp of life. The private bathroom was dirty and had to be cleaned before use. The property had a good location from ttc west finch with shops and take aways close by.
