Such a gem of a hotel- couldn’t have asked for more! A little bit of luxury :) The staff were so welcoming, accommodating and courteous, especially all the servers in the restaurant. The food was exceptional! Loved the infinity pool too, the grounds are kept immaculately. My room was beautiful, plenty of space and lovely design. A wonderful stay.

Sehr, sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Alle strengen sich mächtig an, um jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Die Hotelanlage ist schön, aber ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Der Pool ist wirklich toll. Der Strand ist suboptimal. Bei unserem Aufenthalt war der Strand nicht sehr einladend.

Don't be fooled. This is not a 5-star property. For everything you ask, the staff will give an answer that we are under new management and ongoing changes. No workable gym. Excuse - We are under renovation. No activities. You can feed the swans which roam at the property, a pathetic excuse for an activity. I didnt see even a child doing this and no staff even showed up at 4 p.m. for the activity. Minifridge in a 5-star property supposed to have a few items (chargeable). I open it, it is empty and not even working. No lotion or hand towel. I can go on and on. They have one omelette station and limited items, but their prices are like you are eating in a real western 5-star. Service and food are far from it. PLEASE BE SURE THEY ARE NOT STEALING YOUR PERSONAL DATA. After repeatedly saying no, I was surprised to receive an email - welcome new IHG member. What???? I contacted Expedia and IHG right away, spending time on my holiday with customer care, and finally IHG support person told me that your account was created by front desk. Is this a joke? The staff will trick you and when confronted with IHG chat, she accepted that she did that, even going to the point that it is free. Again, no explanation or even a sorry for doing something which I declined three different times during my check-in and within an hour of being there. STAY AWAY!

A total mess, under big refurbishment & construction. Nothing like described on the website or other media. Rooms dirty, moldy & damp, had to clean cupboards ourselves before use. The pool with 2 sun loungers & 2 bean bags & restaurant were the only facilities for use. Ended up staying 2 nights but booked in for 14, cancelled booking, got total refund (thank you) & moved. We stayed here few times in the past when it was lovely. We enquired why the huge difference then found out it had been closed with no maintenance for the last 3 years. Sorry staff but it had to be said & you really do need new uniforms.

2 stars for the housekeeping staff and the restaurant staff at the hotel, everything else was not a 5 star experience to say the least. 1st the property was false advertising the selected room and when I reached out and confirmed the marketing was false they took no accountability, Expedia had to pay the difference for the room change in order for me to proceed with my stay. The property needs major renovations to be considered 5 star. Our room ceiling would leak in the bathroom when it rained, cabinets in restroom falling off, no ligting on the balcony, no chairs or seating area to enjoy the ocean views, we had to move indoor furniture to the balcony. I found staff at the reception to be rude and dismissive when a item of clothing went missing at the pool. The beach in front of the property is dirty and not enjoyable. I even seen a man deficating in the ocean while I was taking a stroll around the property. The only working AC on the property is the rooms, everywhere else its extremely hot and uncomfortable. The other thing I felt odd was no spa menu available, only in reception and had to take a picture for reference, the hotel missed out of hundreds by following this practice. When I ran into deciptive marketing that should've been clue to avoid at all cost but I proceeded and take full accountability. My stay was definitely regretful. I will not return nor would I recommend to anyone seeking a 5 star property.

Staff wise, Jia and Ali were lovely. Hotel was lovely though in need of a bit of a touch up. The balcony of the room we stayed in was massive but could have done with sun loungers as a waste of space. Also one of the railing struts was loose and dangerous as a child could push against and fall. Pool was fantastic but loungers were past their best and in need of replacing as too low, falling to bits and mattresses were splitting and fraying. There was nothing to do in evening as no bar, we just watched TV in room. Food was average. The gym was disgusting and stunk of mould, carpet was stained. Ot was lovely going to sleep to sound of waves. Gardens and grounds were very well maintained. Enjoyed watching the resident family of geese each morning as they swam the lilly pond. We had a very relaxing stay and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating.

Superbe établissement par son architecture vous êtes transporté hors du temps. Cuisine de grande qualité avec un service irréprochable.( merci Ani et Goda). Excellent petit déjeuner et le mot est faible. Bravo au chef Piscine très propre et d'une belle taille. Un moment dont on se souviendra Merci à l'équipe

I have travelled across the world for over 50 years and never have i experienced a property of this outstanding quality across every facet of hospitality. The physical characteristics are exceptional; the gracious elegance of the building, the combination of views from the ground floor of the huge lateral pool over looking a lake which over looks the ocean. The quality service by everyone from the large gardening team caring for the beautiful grounds to the housekeeping to the reception to the restaurant staff is simply faultless. The GM , Rajiv Srivastava, must be given the credit as he would have to take the responsibility for any defects. The resort experience was so excellent / relaxing / perfect we never moved out to explore the beauty of Bali. We will return here but next time for longer so we can have another week here.

Exceptional Stay! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The staff is the heart of this hotel—friendly, professional, and always eager to assist. The hotel itself is stunning, with elegant decor, spotless rooms, and breathtaking views. My room was spacious, well-furnished, and incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. Housekeeping did an outstanding job maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a fresh and inviting atmosphere throughout my stay. The dining experience was equally impressive. Every meal was a delight, with fresh ingredients, delicious flavors, beautiful presentation, impeccable service and attention to detail. The facilities were also excellent. The pool was pristine and the spa a haven of relaxation. Positiv: - Hatten über das Hotel einen kostenpflichtigen Flughafen Transfer gebucht. Wir wurden herzlichst von dem Fahrer Imin am Flughafen empfangen. - Die Freundlichkeit des Personals im Restaurant. - Es ist am Meer (kein Badestrand) Negativ - Scharben und Ameisen im Zimmer, Pool Liegen verdreckt, Handtücher und Bettwäsche schimmliger Geruch. - es gibt keinen kostenlosen Transport in die Umgebung, keinen kostenlosen Transport in den Freizeitpark,keine Yoga Stunden (dies wurde so beworben und war ein Hauptgrund für die Hotelwahl) - Lage des Hotels ist sehr schlecht, keine Gegend in der man sich als Urlauber wohlfühlt. - Ein Blatt Papier hat einen besseren Schallschutz als das Zimmer. - Nachdem wir fragten ob wir eine Rückerstattung bekommen und früher abreisen können wurde dies verneint. - Ich würde niemanden empfehlen das Hotel zu buchen mehr Schein als Sein. Oberflächlich sauber wenn das Housekeeping da war. Vieles wurde einfach nicht geputzt in unserem Zimmer. A total mess, under big refurbishment & construction. Nothing like described on the website or other media. Rooms dirty, moldy & damp, had to clean cupboards ourselves before use. The pool with 2 sun loungers & 2 bean bags & restaurant were the only facilities for use. Ended up staying 2 nights but booked in for 14, cancelled booking, got total refund (thank you) & moved. We stayed here few times in the past when it was lovely. We enquired why the huge difference then found out it had been closed with no maintenance for the last 3 years. Sorry staff but it had to be said & you really do need new uniforms.

2 stars for the housekeeping staff and the restaurant staff at the hotel, everything else was not a 5 star experience to say the least. 1st the property was false advertising the selected room and when I reached out and confirmed the marketing was false they took no accountability, Expedia had to pay the difference for the room change in order for me to proceed with my stay. The property needs major renovations to be considered 5 star. Our room ceiling would leak in the bathroom when it rained, cabinets in restroom falling off, no ligting on the balcony, no chairs or seating area to enjoy the ocean views, we had to move indoor furniture to the balcony. I found staff at the reception to be rude and dismissive when a item of clothing went missing at the pool. The beach in front of the property is dirty and not enjoyable. I even seen a man deficating in the ocean while I was taking a stroll around the property. The only working AC on the property is the rooms, everywhere else its extremely hot and uncomfortable. The other thing I felt odd was no spa menu available, only in reception and had to take a picture for reference, the hotel missed out of hundreds by following this practice. When I ran into deciptive marketing that should've been clue to avoid at all cost but I proceeded and take full accountability. My stay was definitely regretful. I will not return nor would I recommend to anyone seeking a 5 star property.

The conditions and cleanliness of the hotel was deplorable! There was no beach as stated and no VIP platinum upgrade whatsoever. The only thing that made it enjoyable was breakfast and then we checked out two days early.

This property is more like a 10 star resort! Everyone here is sooooo nice. The rooms are very beautiful, clean & spacious. And the best part is the views you wake up to, the views you have during the day & the sunset views. I will always come back to stay here! Highly recommend!

Room: We had a suite. The room was beautiful, but not well soundproofed, and most nights the restaurant played loud music. This means that if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this is not a good choice of room. Breakfast was small, and most of the dishes looked unappetizing. Many of them were tasteless—the same goes for the lunch and dinner menu. There was also a lack of vegetables to choose from. I can tell they are trying, but for us, it was not enough. Hotel: The hotel needs major renovations. Example some outlets are not fully mounted to the wall, and there are cracks in many places. The restaurant ventilation needs to be cleaned, and the pillows and sofas in the room need washing due to various stains. Staff: A for effort—the staff were super friendly and tried their very best to help us. However, communication failed about 90% of the time. The reception staff lack knowledge of English; using simple English works most of the time. There is one particular staff member at reception (wearing a white traditional dress) who went above and beyond to help us. Without her, our stay would have been a sad story. Overall: This hotel needs massive improvements before it can truly be considered a 5-star hotel.

Such a gem of a hotel- couldn’t have asked for more! A little bit of luxury :) The staff were so welcoming, accommodating and courteous, especially all the servers in the restaurant. The food was exceptional! Loved the infinity pool too, the grounds are kept immaculately. My room was beautiful, plenty of space and lovely design. A wonderful stay.

Très bel hôtel, style colonial, très bon service, nous étions très peu de clients, le personnel a été aux petits soins pour nous, Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants, à notre arrivée, il n’y avait qu’un grand lit. A priori, il faut demander pendant la réservation un extra bed, ce qui était impossible sur le site lors de la réservation. Problème résolu en 5 min, l’hôtel a mis un lit supplémentaire gratuitement. La chambre est très spacieuse , la terrasse était gigantesque avec vue sur la mer. Nous avons dîné à l’hôtel, les plats étaient délicieux, menu enfant gratuit pour une très bonne qualité . Tout cela pour un prix très intéressant. Petit déjeuner très qualitatif, très copieux et très bien présenté. Un des meilleurs de notre séjour à Bali.

This is the place where I did my proposal in the magical chapel they have in their resort which is kind of like the Crown Jewel of the resort. Absolutely beautiful and magical place this is which has left me in awe! The entire management the rooms, the view, the staff was so kind, friendly and helpful, I am overwhelmed with emotion! Knowing I am doing my proposal here, they even upgraded me to the Ocean View Suite which is honestly the best and the most wonderful suite I’ve ever stayed in. The entire staff, the elegant lady at the reception, the duty manager, Yoga, Ani and a lot of other made our stay so please Ira ke, it’s beyond words. Mr Lufi is a master at photography who took the most wonderful photos of our event so professionally, he should be lauded for it! Mr Dika who processed them and provided me with the photos also another gem of a person. I will run out of people but can’t thank enough of them for this stay at a hidden gem of Bali in Gianyar! Absolute perfection! All our love to Rumah Luwih Bali for making this the most memorable and wonderful trip of our lives!

Staff wise, Jia and Ali were lovely. Hotel was lovely though in need of a bit of a touch up. The balcony of the room we stayed in was massive but could have done with sun loungers as a waste of space. Also one of the railing struts was loose and dangerous as a child could push against and fall. Pool was fantastic but loungers were past their best and in need of replacing as too low, falling to bits and mattresses were splitting and fraying. There was nothing to do in evening as no bar, we just watched TV in room. Food was average. The gym was disgusting and stunk of mould, carpet was stained. Ot was lovely going to sleep to sound of waves. Gardens and grounds were very well maintained. Enjoyed watching the resident family of geese each morning as they swam the lilly pond. We had a very relaxing stay and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating.

The staff and room are great. It’s a very nice hotel. This was my first time to Bali and I didn’t really know the different areas. I loved the hotel but the only thing is that it’s in a very quiet location with little to see or do outside the property.

Don't be fooled. This is not a 5-star property. For everything you ask, the staff will give an answer that we are under new management and ongoing changes. No workable gym. Excuse - We are under renovation. No activities. You can feed the swans which roam at the property, a pathetic excuse for an activity. I didnt see even a child doing this and no staff even showed up at 4 p.m. for the activity. Minifridge in a 5-star property supposed to have a few items (chargeable). I open it, it is empty and not even working. No lotion or hand towel. I can go on and on. They have one omelette station and limited items, but their prices are like you are eating in a real western 5-star. Service and food are far from it. PLEASE BE SURE THEY ARE NOT STEALING YOUR PERSONAL DATA. After repeatedly saying no, I was surprised to receive an email - welcome new IHG member. What???? I contacted Expedia and IHG right away, spending time on my holiday with customer care, and finally IHG support person told me that your account was created by front desk. Is this a joke? The staff will trick you and when confronted with IHG chat, she accepted that she did that, even going to the point that it is free. Again, no explanation or even a sorry for doing something which I declined three different times during my check-in and within an hour of being there. STAY AWAY!

I contacted Expedia and IHG right away, spending time on my holiday with customer care, and finally IHG support person told me that your account was created by front desk. Is this a joke? The staff will trick you and when confronted with IHG chat, she accepted that she did that, even going to the point that it is free. Again, no explanation or even a sorry for doing something which I declined three different times during my check-in and within an hour of being there. STAY AWAY!

The hotel was amazing and the staff were wonderful and very polite and helpful. Mira, yoga, Agus and Pina were very attentive to our needs. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so wonderful. We will never forget you. And we will be back!!

This is the place where I did my proposal in the magical chapel they have in their resort which is kind of like the Crown Jewel of the resort. Absolutely beautiful and magical place this is which has left me in awe! The entire management the rooms, the view, the staff was so kind, friendly and helpful, I am overwhelmed with emotion! Knowing I am doing my proposal here, they even upgraded me to the Ocean View Suite which is honestly the best and the most wonderful suite I’ve ever stayed in. The entire staff, the elegant lady at the reception, the duty manager, Yoga, Ani and a lot of other made our stay so please Ira ke, it’s beyond words. Mr Lufi is a master at photography who took the most wonderful photos of our event so professionally, he should be lauded for it! Mr Dika who processed them and provided me with the photos also another gem of a person. I will run out of people but can’t thank enough of them for this stay at a hidden gem of Bali in Gianyar! Absolute perfection! All our love to Rumah Luwih Bali for making this the most memorable and wonderful trip of our lives!

2 stars for the housekeeping staff and the restaurant staff at the hotel, everything else was not a 5 star experience to say the least. 1st the property was false advertising the selected room and when I reached out and confirmed the marketing was false they took no accountability, Expedia had to pay the difference for the room change in order for me to proceed with my stay. The property needs major renovations to be considered 5 star. Our room ceiling would leak in the bathroom when it rained, cabinets in restroom falling off, no ligting on the balcony, no chairs or seating area to enjoy the ocean views, we had to move indoor furniture to the balcony. I found staff at the reception to be rude and dismissive when a item of clothing went missing at the pool. The beach in front of the property is dirty and not enjoyable. I even seen a man deficating in the ocean while I was taking a stroll around the property. The only working AC on the property is the rooms, everywhere else its extremely hot and uncomfortable. The other thing I felt odd was no spa menu available, only in reception and had to take a picture for reference, the hotel missed out of hundreds by following this practice. When I ran into deciptive marketing that should've been clue to avoid at all cost but I proceeded and take full accountability. My stay was definitely regretful. I will not return nor would I recommend to anyone seeking a 5 star property.

Room: We had a suite. The room was beautiful, but not well soundproofed, and most nights the restaurant played loud music. This means that if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this is not a good choice of room. Breakfast was small, and most of the dishes looked unappetizing. Many of them were tasteless—the same goes for the lunch and dinner menu. There was also a lack of vegetables to choose from. I can tell they are trying, but for us, it was not enough. Hotel: The hotel needs major renovations. Example some outlets are not fully mounted to the wall, and there are cracks in many places. The restaurant ventilation needs to be cleaned, and the pillows and sofas in the room need washing due to various stains. Staff: A for effort—the staff were super friendly and tried their very best to help us. However, communication failed about 90% of the time. The reception staff lack knowledge of English; using simple English works most of the time. There is one particular staff member at reception (wearing a white traditional dress) who went above and beyond to help us. Without her, our stay would have been a sad story. I have travelled across the world for over 50 years and never have i experienced a property of this outstanding quality across every facet of hospitality. The physical characteristics are exceptional; the gracious elegance of the building, the combination of views from the ground floor of the huge lateral pool over looking a lake which over looks the ocean. The quality service by everyone from the large gardening team caring for the beautiful grounds to the housekeeping to the reception to the restaurant staff is simply faultless. The GM , Rajiv Srivastava, must be given the credit as he would have to take the responsibility for any defects. The resort experience was so excellent / relaxing / perfect we never moved out to explore the beauty of Bali. We will return here but next time for longer so we can have another week here.

Very friendly staff, helpful and kind, even learned our names and remember them. Enjoyed that we tried to speak some of their language. The breakfast buffet only on weekends was beyond enjoyable. The staff suggested a private beach, which turned out to be very excellent.

The hotel grounds are very beautiful and the view of breaking waves is relaxing. The hotel is 'on the beach' but the beach sand is covered with debris; the hotel bordered by two small rivers with fast water emptying into the ocean so impossible to walk the beach far at all. So, don't think about a long walk on the beach. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Free use of bikes is unrealistic as the speeding motorbikes, sometimes on the road shoulder make a bike ride unsafe.

It was the most peaceful resort we ever been. Amazing staff and service. Food was great as well. I recommend to all my friends. It is truly hidden gem of bali. Other places were loud and crowded but this hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Only few minutes away from the safari and it was really fun!

Great property with swimming pool and beach view. It is far from almost everything. If you want to visit Bali and want to be away from everything and can do with very limited dinning options, this place might be for you. To get around from this property to anywhere around , give yourself a hour of travel time. For our next visit, we will pick somewhere closer to Sanur or Ubud.

The staff and room are great. It’s a very nice hotel. This was my first time to Bali and I didn’t really know the different areas. I loved the hotel but the only thing is that it’s in a very quiet location with little to see or do outside the property.

Such a gem of a hotel- couldn’t have asked for more! A little bit of luxury :) The staff were so welcoming, accommodating and courteous, especially all the servers in the restaurant. The food was exceptional! Loved the infinity pool too, the grounds are kept immaculately. My room was beautiful, plenty of space and lovely design. A wonderful stay.

Très bel hôtel, style colonial, très bon service, nous étions très peu de clients, le personnel a été aux petits soins pour nous, Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants, à notre arrivée, il n’y avait qu’un grand lit. A priori, il faut demander pendant la réservation un extra bed, ce qui était impossible sur le site lors de la réservation. Problème résolu en 5 min, l’hôtel a mis un lit supplémentaire gratuitement. La chambre est très spacieuse , la terrasse était gigantesque avec vue sur la mer. Nous avons dîné à l’hôtel, les plats étaient délicieux, menu enfant gratuit pour une très bonne qualité . Tout cela pour un prix très intéressant. Petit déjeuner très qualitatif, très copieux et très bien présenté. Un des meilleurs de notre séjour à Bali.

Excuse - We are under renovation. No activities. You can feed the swans which roam at the property, a pathetic excuse for an activity. Superbe établissement par son architecture vous êtes transporté hors du temps. Cuisine de grande qualité avec un service irréprochable.( merci Ani et Goda). Room: We had a suite. The room was beautiful, but not well soundproofed, and most nights the restaurant played loud music. This means that if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this is not a good choice of room. Breakfast was small, and most of the dishes looked unappetizing. A short stay, but a very impressive hotel We arrived late after a long journey and stayed for one night before continuing our trip to the Gili Islands the following morning. The hotel worked perfectly as a comfortable stopover. The hotel itself is very impressive — large, beautiful and full of colonial charm. The architecture and design create a really special atmosphere, with beautiful areas both indoors and outdoors. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very nicely presented. This is a very quiet, under-the-radar resort located in a peaceful part of Bali. It’s definitely not the place if you’re looking for noise or a lively atmosphere, but if you want genuine relaxation and tranquility, this is a great choice. Special thanks to Chris and his team who made an extra effort to ensure our stay was comfortable. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. The resort has a huge swimming pool which was a highlight for us. There is a restaurant on-site, though dining options within the hotel are limited. That said, there are a few good local restaurants nearby so you still have some nice choices. One downside is that parts of the property feel a little dated but considering the age of the hotel, it’s not too bad. It would also be nice to see more activities especially for kids to make it more family-friendly.
