Home2 Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City East

Booked this stay on 1/10/2020 for my son's graduation from Utah's MBA program. This property is 5 minutes from his house and 10 from the campus. We arrived at 1330 hrs and were told due to some glitch they had oversold. I'm sure the glitch was they were unaware graduation was that week and they were able to get more from our room than we paid. The Manager was very condescending and even though we were early he was unwilling to bump a room that had made their reservation after I did. We ended up staying in Park City as all other hotels around the U were sold out. There was also a major girls volleyball tournament in Salt Lake that weekend. I have contacted the Corporate office to voice my concerns but if this is the way this property does business I would avoid at all costs.

Nice check in experience

Just a plain budget hotel - nothing special but clean.

Great location, friendly staff, clean room, nice facilities. Parking area was small and could be difficult. We parked on the street overnight and it was fine.

This was such a comfortable stay. Having the kitchenette and couch was so nice. It was very spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. We used the hot tub one night and enjoyed that too. We also liked the convenience of Walmart nearby for incidentals. The breakfast wasn’t anything particularly special but it did the job and fueled us up. My only complaint would be that I wish breakfast went until 10. We were very tired the first day after a long drive and a time change so 9:30 was 8:30 in our heads and we nearly missed it!
