The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. They really went above and beyond for us. The room was clean and charming, albeit my room had a very small bathroom set-up unlike 2 rooms that my travel companions had. The bed was very comfortable with nicely soft bed linen. Very enjoyable patio with fire pit and comfortable seating. Would definitely stay here again.

In a residential neighborhood just past the upper edge of the business area, we enjoyed the quiet street and short walk to everything. We understand that the home once belonged to a sea captain. Now, it is up-to-date (but not too modern) where it counts, freshly painted, clean and comfortable. The HVAC system was quiet and it maintained our temperature setting during a few days of cool weather. The continental breakfast was excellent - from the spinach souffle (?) to the chocolate croissants, we tried a little of everything. The dining area was bright and cozy but, if the weather had been a little warmer, we would have loved to sit in the courtyard in the morning under the huge cherry tree. As it was, the fire pit in the evening was a nice touch during the cool weather. We felt very welcomed at the reception desk when we arrived. During our stay, Richard provided terrific insight about life in Nantucket. We'd definitely stay here again.

Wonderful property and staff. Right downtown. Staff attentive and knowledgeable. Evening outdoor fireplace was a treat after a day of exploring the history and cuteness of Nantucket.

Beautiful, recently remodeled, beautifully appointed quiet B&B just steps from busy Main St. Our room was outside the main house- a modern large room with a private entrance. In the back , the Inn had a peaceful sitting area with a fire pit. Only downside was the breakfast which was only “sweets” and not very good ones. Otherwise, perfect .

We had an awesome stay. A warm greeting and help with our bags before we even hit the first step. Room was ready quickly and the bed was very comfortable. The room was not very spacious but very clean and worked well for the two of us. A very nice kitchen area and great outdoor seating area.

This was a quaint hotel with a lovely courtyard in the back. They offer a nice breakfast, and our room was simple yet had what we needed, for the most part. The Roman blinds are cute, but unfortunately gap a bit, giving people coming and going in the courtyard a good view into the bed, literally. Other drawbacks, however, for someone in my position were important. I've been in a wheelchair for a few months, so having an accessible space is necessary. The room I was offered (once i got pushed up their very steep driveway) had a step up to get inside, and a tight doorway. I would not have been able to get up the drive, or in or out of the room had I been on my own. As well, I could not get my wheelchair into the bathroom, at all, so had to try to crutch hop to the sink and toilet. Not great considering smooth floors and big sliding glass shower doors. The shower was definitively not accessible, and even if I could have hobbled in, it had no grab bars or a shower seat. I realize this is not entirely their fault, as when i originally reserved, i was not in this situation. I called to ask about changing my reservation to an accessible room, and they were very agreeable (at a significant upcharge). I think it would have been better if they had just offered me a refund and a recommendation of who else might have had truly accessible space.

WOW!! We absolutely loved our stay at 76 Main. Our room was beautiful, a great size especially for Nantucket, and was very quiet. We enjoyed sitting in the peaceful courtyard area. The hotel is located just off the Main Street so you don’t hear any of the noise but your just a few steps away from the heart of the town. The team working at the hotel was so sweet!! They helped with recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. You MUST try the fresh baked cookies they have out everyday. They are incredible!

This hotel was awesome, my boyfriend and I came to celebrate our anniversary and decided upon this hotel because it seemed to be the best deal at the time even though it’s pretty hard to call anything on Nantucket a deal. I was a little worried about this hotel not being worth it and it completely exceeded my expectations, super clean and new but with a vintage charm, I was expecting the room to be small and while it was, it was a lot nicer than I expected, newly renovated bathroom, skylights and big windows and the staff were all super nice. They seem to have a lot of young people working there and everyone was incredibly helpful. We had gotten home late one night after drinking and were chatting with reception and were complaining how everything is now closed but we wanted a snack and they made us cookies before leaving for the night which was just so nice and thoughtful. Will definitely be recommending this place and staying again in the future!!!

76 Main is an excellent choice for visiting Nantucket. It's right on Main Street, just steps away from fabulous shopping, restaurants, and galleries. We have been staying there for years and Richard and his staff are professional and accommodating . They provide a nice breakfast with fresh baked pastries, fruit, quiche , etc. In the evening they provide mixers as well as home baked cookies. The decor is fresh and appropriate for the area and the hotel is immaculate. We highly recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay on Main Street in downtown Nantucket. The location could not have been better — right in the heart of town, making it easy to enjoy shops, restaurants, and the charm of the island. The property was very comfortable, spotless, and had a welcoming atmosphere that made it feel like home. The staff were attentive, kind, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting Nantucket and look forward to returning.

While the prices were very high for the winter stroll the hotel was cute. I found that our room - which was one outside in a courtyard had very thin walls. Could hear the whole conversation of next door guests. The door was clearly somewhat broken because it was very hard to close and lock- the amenities in the bathroom has been there forever you could tell because the shampoo came out in globes from the cold or storage form got to cold. It’s obviously very central to Main Street which was a plus and the breakfast was nice in them, although the coffee bar could have been better and been available the whole time- would be nice to get tea at night or during the day. I felt like the price for the weekend was pretty outrageous for the quality of the hotel- linens, towels, space in room etc. The bathroom also pretty snug.

The shower was definitively not accessible, and even if I could have hobbled in, it had no grab bars or a shower seat. I realize this is not entirely their fault, as when i originally reserved, i was not in this situation. I called to ask about changing my reservation to an accessible room, and they were very agreeable (at a significant upcharge). I think it would have been better if they had just offered me a refund and a recommendation of who else might have had truly accessible space.

WOW!! We absolutely loved our stay at 76 Main. Our room was beautiful, a great size especially for Nantucket, and was very quiet. We enjoyed sitting in the peaceful courtyard area. The hotel is located just off the Main Street so you don’t hear any of the noise but your just a few steps away from the heart of the town. The team working at the hotel was so sweet!! They helped with recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. You MUST try the fresh baked cookies they have out everyday. They are incredible!

Very well located property with very helpful staff. However, at this price point, I would have expected a truer "continental" breakfast (they only offer a few muffins, yogurt and berries), and a more reliable TV (we had Youtube connectivity problems twice in three days).

We stayed at 76 Main during Stroll weekend. The location is perfecting, steps away from downtown main street, restaurants, and shops. Richard was fantastic - welcoming and very friendly. The island lost power and our lunch and dinner reservations got cancelled. He helped us find places that were open (sandwiches, pizza) and even offered to drive us to pick up the pizza, which he then ordered for the rest of the guests who had no where to eat. We can't wait to come back again!

This hotel was awesome, my boyfriend and I came to celebrate our anniversary and decided upon this hotel because it seemed to be the best deal at the time even though it’s pretty hard to call anything on Nantucket a deal. I was a little worried about this hotel not being worth it and it completely exceeded my expectations, super clean and new but with a vintage charm, I was expecting the room to be small and while it was, it was a lot nicer than I expected, newly renovated bathroom, skylights and big windows and the staff were all super nice. They seem to have a lot of young people working there and everyone was incredibly helpful. We had gotten home late one night after drinking and were chatting with reception and were complaining how everything is now closed but we wanted a snack and they made us cookies before leaving for the night which was just so nice and thoughtful. Will definitely be recommending this place and staying again in the future!!!

We had an awesome stay. A warm greeting and help with our bags before we even hit the first step. Room was ready quickly and the bed was very comfortable. The room was not very spacious but very clean and worked well for the two of us. A very nice kitchen area and great outdoor seating area.

76 Main is an excellent choice for visiting Nantucket. It's right on Main Street, just steps away from fabulous shopping, restaurants, and galleries. We have been staying there for years and Richard and his staff are professional and accommodating . They provide a nice breakfast with fresh baked pastries, fruit, quiche , etc. In the evening they provide mixers as well as home baked cookies. The decor is fresh and appropriate for the area and the hotel is immaculate. We highly recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay on Main Street in downtown Nantucket. The location could not have been better — right in the heart of town, making it easy to enjoy shops, restaurants, and the charm of the island. While the prices were very high for the winter stroll the hotel was cute. I found that our room - which was one outside in a courtyard had very thin walls. Could hear the whole conversation of next door guests. The door was clearly somewhat broken because it was very hard to close and lock- the amenities in the bathroom has been there forever you could tell because the shampoo came out in globes from the cold or storage form got to cold. It’s obviously very central to Main Street which was a plus and the breakfast was nice in them, although the coffee bar could have been better and been available the whole time- would be nice to get tea at night or during the day. I felt like the price for the weekend was pretty outrageous for the quality of the hotel- linens, towels, space in room etc. The bathroom also pretty snug.

Beautiful, recently remodeled, beautifully appointed quiet B&B just steps from busy Main St. Our room was outside the main house- a modern large room with a private entrance. In the back , the Inn had a peaceful sitting area with a fire pit. Only downside was the breakfast which was only “sweets” and not very good ones. Otherwise, perfect .

We loved the locale. We loved our courtyard room. However we had to constantly ask for assistance. For ice. For water. Towels were never refreshed. We got the feeling they did not have adequate staffing. We would return , however, it’s charming , but clearly seasonal. There was a vacuum cleaner left outside our entry door the entire length of stay!

Problems with check with no resolve. Ask if I wanted to move rooms the next day. Instead of preparing me at check in. Room was only able to be cleaned once because they waited to clean my room last while I sat outside for hours waiting to clean my room after 3 pm. Then day of check they were at my door at 10:30 as check out is 11. Definitely not like what it used to be plus it was $1000.00 + everyday. Not worth it.
