Beautiful place to stay. Greeted by owner and to our surprise we had been upgraded to a king bed in a huge room. You do have to duck to enter the shower. Would be beneficial to upgrade the mattress. Very clean room and butlers pantry stocked with goodies. Restaurant was closed due to holiday but menu sounded great.

My golf buddy and I enjoyed our stay at Tremont. The staff were professional and pleasant. The room was beautiful! It’s location was perfect some nice restaurant and pubs were an easy walk from the hotel. We enjoyed the hotel bar.!The only thing negative I would mention is that it does not have an elevator to get to the rooms. I will return to this hotel in the future.

What a charming place. Everything about the place looks like it has history. The rooms are large, very clean, with every provision you could want. The hotel includes two restaurants and a bar. The staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. I would highly recommend Tremont to others.

The Tremont Inn is a throwback to hotel glory days, and in the best possible way. The room was beautifully appointed with high ceilings and maximum comfort. The beds were comfortable, and the towels were rich and fluffy. The only negative aspect is probably the lack of an elevator, and the stairs can be a bit challenging with luggage. We enthusiastically look forward to our next visit!

I was so delighted with the entire space! The halls were wide and beautiful and clean. The room was big and the bed was so comfortable. I’m not sure I could stay anywhere else in Marshalltown, after this experience. Having a small kitchen with coffee and snacks available and an additional sitting room for enjoying them, was a plus. We were there for an event, so did not eat at either restaurant this time, but from previous experience, they are wonderful!

A beautiful historic building in the middle of downtown Marshalltown. We loved our room It was enormous! Very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. The only issue we had in 211 was the air conditioning. Highly recommend. And will stay again!!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at the Inn - we were in town visiting family and not only was it close to everywhere we needed to go, but it was great to be located in the historic part of town! Rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. We'll be coming back!!!

Historic hotel with large rooms. Room was clean and had a comfortable bed. Bathroom water pressure was on the low side, but I've have experienced lower pressure in brand new hotels; hard to find a good blasting shower in most hotels. There is no elevator for those that may not do well climbing stairs. Check in is at the restaurant below was not an issue for us. Some reviews were complaining about dragged their lugguge through the restaurant which puzzeled me because you only check in at the restaurant and then there is a side door alongside the restaurant entrance where you actully use to enter the hotel. So I'm unsure why anyone would drag their luggage through the restaurant with them. We always check in to hotels to scope out the situation prior to bringing our luggage in. Overall a very plesant stay with friendly staff and good value for the price we paid to stay.

Nice size rooms with 13’ ceilings. Very friendly owners who showed us to our room and where everything was. We ate at the restaurant which had amazing food and service including the bartender. Loved the fact they had a happy hour and special menu until 6pm. We enjoyed walking around downtown after our dinner and felt very safe.

We absolutely loved the stay... Such a charming hotel with an amazing restaurant below. Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. We would have ate there both nights, however we were there for my daughter's dance comp and she fell asleep after a day of performing at 4 pm and slept right on through dinner. My parents were able to catch a bite at the Tremont grille for breakfast and said it was delicious as well. We unfortunately couldn't as it's closed on Sundays. (totally understandable as the owners need their time! :-)) Also... this is by no means against the property but definitely something to possibly expect.... the people of Marshalltown seem to LOVE their loud cars. From about 6-11 pm many enjoyed showing off the loudness cruising the main drag which was unfortunately outside our window. Regardless.. we'd still definitely stay again if our schedule ever brings us back to Marshalltown IA. If anything... we may make it back just for another stay and a dinner at the Tremont. :-)

We absolutely loved the stay... Such a charming hotel with an amazing restaurant below. Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. We would have ate there both nights, however we were there for my daughter's dance comp and she fell asleep after a day of performing at 4 pm and slept right on through dinner. My parents were able to catch a bite at the Tremont grille for breakfast and said it was delicious as well. We unfortunately couldn't as it's closed on Sundays. (totally understandable as the owners need their time! :-)) Also... this is by no means against the property but definitely something to possibly expect.... the people of Marshalltown seem to LOVE their loud cars. Nice size rooms with 13’ ceilings. Very friendly owners who showed us to our room and where everything was. We ate at the restaurant which had amazing food and service including the bartender. Loved the fact they had a happy hour and special menu until 6pm. We enjoyed walking around downtown after our dinner and felt very safe.

Beautiful place to stay. Greeted by owner and to our surprise we had been upgraded to a king bed in a huge room. You do have to duck to enter the shower. Would be beneficial to upgrade the mattress. Very clean room and butlers pantry stocked with goodies. Restaurant was closed due to holiday but menu sounded great.

The room was huge and furnished nicely. The hotel itself is very well cared for and kept updated. As long as you can get up and down the stairs, it is a great place to stay in Marshalltown. We ate at the Tremont Grille one morning and that was great as well. We will definitely stay there again when we come to town.

We've stayed at the Tremont numerous times and it never falls short of our expectations. J.P., Jennifer and their team do a great job of making you feel welcome. The breakfast and dining options are the best in M'town. Keep up the good work!

The room was lovely: comfortable, spacious clean. The owners were attentive and friendly. The restaurant was excellent. I cannot recommend this highly enough and will definitely stay here again.

We were totally happy and satisfied with our 3 night stay at Tremont. The room was very clean and stocked. Couldn't be more happy. One small issue was encountered, we returned to our room around 9pm on our last night there to find our AC unit had malfunctioned, not a problem mechanical things break. By the time we called for help it was near 10pm. The owners quickly took care of the issue by letting us sleep in an open room. Their quick action on this at that time of the night impressed us both. We will absolutely plan on staying at the Tremont Inn in the future. I 100% will recommend this hotel.

Fantastic location in the heart of Marshalltown! No elevator but the staff helped us bring all of our luggage up. Room was unbelievably spacious and it was quiet. Would definitely stay here again! The restaurant/bar below was small but quaint and the food was good.

Great stay at the Tremont. Cayla the hostess was pleasant and helpful. JP and Jennifer were lively as well with pleasant conversation. I believe all our problems were handled well. I would ask that more electronic outlets would be added but the room was fresh and lovely. Diner was wonderful for coffee and breakfast. Bar and restaurant are just as good.
